3. Overview of Electroluminescence (EL)
Electroluminescent (EL) panel is a flat light bulb sandwich consisting of
layers of conductive and non-conductive plastic and a layer of phosphor.
The phosphor is laminated between two conductive layers. As a voltage is
applied between the two conductive layers, or electrodes, the electrical
current passes through the panel allows the phosphor crystals rapidly
charged and emitted light energy which illuminates the printed overlay.

6. Animated Electroluminescence (AEL)
By taking this idea further and dividing the printed image into several
different sections that can be illuminated separately from one another.
These sections can be programmed and sequenced to provide an
animated effect by flash or/or fade the phosphor light in each of the
sections in and out to create the impression of movement within a
static printed image.

8. Electroluminescence – Green Product
One of the most significant and positive characteristics of EL technology is
its low energy consumption. Use of this technology can result in a reduction
of energy usage up to 90%, making this a great Green product.
Because an EL Panel only consumes approximately 2mW/cm2, it has a very
low power draw which means it has a low operating cost.
Can be Sensor Driven - Movement, Light, Sound, Timer, etc
This value-added option eliminates the unnecessary on time and power
consumption.
