A novel fuzzy logic control for a zero current switching-based buck converte...IJECEIAES
This research provides a new control technique for mitigating conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) in a buck converter designed for solar applications. Indeed, hard-switching direct current to direct current (DC-DC) converters, commonly used in industrial applications, pose a significant risk to the surrounding environment regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Usually, the fast-switching phase induces abrupt changes in current and voltage, which adds to substantial electromagnetic interference in both conducted and radiated modes and excessive auditory noise. An architecture based on the duality of soft-switching topology and fuzzy logic control technology is developed to address these issues. On the one hand, resonant circuit topologies are used to induce switches to achieve soft switching conditions, which subsequently lessen the effects of EMI. On the other hand, the adoption of fuzzy logic control technology is interesting since it can reduce electrical stresses during switching. Furthermore, the simulation results show that zero current switching (ZCS) soft-switching closed-loop fuzzy logic converters outperform typical open-loop converters and softswitching closed-loop converters with proportional integral (PI) control in terms of EMC requirements.
The negative impacts or side effects of a damper circuit insertion in an LCL passive filter utilized to filter DC/AC inverters output voltage is presented in this paper. For comparative study, this paper discusses two damping configurations, namely series and parallel damping, as well as the LCL filter without damping element. Four criteria are used to explore the impacts of the damper circuits, i.e. their total harmonic distortions (THDs), the output voltage amplitude, the output power and the power efficiency. Theoretically and emphirically shown by previous studies, the damper can indeed reduce the peak resonance frequency of the filter in its frequency response curve. However, in any circumstance, it can potentially reduce the inverters power and efficiency, voltage output amplitude, and cannot improve its THD reduction. The analysis results have shown that the side effects depends also on the load conditions, which are different for each damping circuit configuration.

This paper describes the characteristics and modeling of several types of power semiconductor devices such as MOSFET, IGBT and GTO.

Surge arresters constitute an indispensable aid to insulation coordination in electrical power systems. There the voltages which may appear in an electrical power system are given in per-unit of the peak value of the highest continuous line-to-earth voltage, depending on the duration of their appearance. The voltage or overvoltage which can be reached without the use of arresters is a value of several p.u. If instead, one considers the curve of the withstand voltage of equipment insulation (here equipment means electrical devices such as power transformers) one notices that starting in the range of switching overvoltages, and especially for lightning over voltages, the equipment insulation cannot withstand the occurring dielectric stresses. At this point, the arresters intervene. When in operation, it is certain that the voltage that occurs at the terminal of the device - while maintaining an adequate safety margin - will stay below the withstand voltage. Arresters’ effect, therefore, involves lightning and switching over voltages.

The demand for increased voltage in renewable energy sources is relatively high. This study examines the rapid development of technology considering the use of voltage-increasing transformers. Voltage regulator circuits are generally used to stabilize the output voltage of the rectifier according to the amount of input from the transformer. However, components for highvoltage stabilizer circuits are rare, which becomes an obstacle to the stabilization of the rectifier output. This study aimed to determine the performance of the designed rectifier circuit against a non-center tap step-up direct current (DC) 400 V transformer and compare the measurement results to manual calculations. The research method is a direct comparison between the input and output voltage values of the transformer after going through a rectifier circuit. This experiment was conducted using the repeatability method three to five times for each voltage variation on the transformer. The voltage variations successfully created are 0 to 50, 0 to 100, 0 to 200, and 0 to 400 V. The output test results from the DC transformer and rectifier circuit show linear results and an increase in peak-to-peak voltage data between the transformer and rectifier outputs by 3.8%.

the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Electrical Ballast is one kind of the ballasts; it is the electronic equipment which adopts electronic
technology to drive the electrical light source to produce light. Modern Fluorescent lamps increase to use
electronic ballast, compact and small, even can integrate electrical ballast and lamp tube, at the same
time, electrical ballast usually can be compatible with starter function, thus it can also eliminate the
starter.
Electrical Ballast has obvious advantages to develop the energy efficiency and quality of the lighting
system; it is the new international recommended applications products, which is also the future trend.
Pay attention to the harmonic content. The new revised “AC-supplied electronic control gear for tubular
fluorescent lamps-performance requirements”(GB/T15144-2005) has canceled the class of electronic
ballast (Class L and Class H) in the old standard, the harmonic limit should meet “Electromagnetic
Compatibility, Limits, Harmonic, Current Emission Limits”(GB17625·1-2003).
At present, there are electrical performance testing and EMC characteristics for electronic ballast testing.
Electrical performance is the basic performance of Electrical Ballast, for Electrical Ballast, mainly has
three characteristics testing: Input Parameters Measurement, Output Stably Parameters Measurement
and Output Startup Parameters Measurement. Input Parameters Measurement has voltage, current and
power, power factor, power net frequency, total harmonic and 0~39 harmonic test. Output Stably
Parameters Measurement has lamp voltage, current, power, filament, imported cathodic current, crest
factor, oscillatory frequency test. Output Startup Parameters Measurement has preheats time, lamp
voltage, lamp current, filament current, guided cathodic current curve and parameter. Lisun combines
the latest international and domestic standards of IEC60929, IEC60969, IEC61000-3-2,
GB/T15144-20005, GB/T17263-1998 etc and pushes the WT5000 Electronic Ballast Tester, adopts a
super-maximal LCD for displaying waveforms and parameters directly. In addition to this, WT5000

Besides the electric performance, the electromagnetic compatibility characteristics (including EMI and

number of professional electronic equipment. Electronic Ballast electromagnetic compatibility test
