Which is why we are using micro- controller based Automated Irrigation system will serve the following purposes: 1) As there is no un-planned usage of water, a lot of water is saved from being wasted. 2) The irrigation is done only when there is not enough moisture in the soil and the microcontroller decides when should the pump be turned on/off, saves a lot time for the farmers. This also gives much needed rest to the farmers and helps, as they don’t have to go and turn the pump on/off manually. 3)This irrigation system can be monitor by user wirelessly. User can receive notification and can provide proper commands via his cell phone whenever necessary.

This paper presents an innovative prototype design of electric fan with smart characteristics. This electric fan uses a microcontroller to produce an automation function. It also has a unique double feature designs, such as using 2 fans, 2 Light Emitting Diodes (LED) and 2 sensors. This is to ensure the cooling process operates more efficiently and effectively, especially for a large space application and in hot weather due to global warming. By applying the circuit, it offers a better life for human. It is really practical for senior citizens to make their life simpler. The circuit is also suitable for disabled people who have difficulty to switch on the fan manually. Lastly, the circuit can be manipulated by diversifying its function as a detector, where it can produce an alarm signal when emergency case occurs such as the house or premise is on fire.
Safety is a crucial consideration in design of residential and commercial buildings in order to
safeguard against loss of life and damage to property. Fire is a key element in safety
considerations.
This project therefore seeks to design a arduino based smoke detector fan that will continuously
monitor the presence of significant amount of smoke and activate a fan to draw out a smoke to
contain the situation.

Abstract Transformer fault detection during impulse tests has always been an important topic in power engineering. Transformers connected to overhead lines are often prone to lightning strikes and resulting winding damage. For assessment of their insulation strength against such impulse stresses they are usually subjected to lightning impulse tests after assembly. In the case of a fault inside the winding, the shape of the winding current changes as compared to that of a healthy winding. The pattern of the fault current depends on the type of fault and its location along the length of the winding. This paper investigates Conventional procedures of fault diagnosis involved visual examination of the oscillographic records in time-domain and also applying the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm to analyze the transformer ‘fingerprint’ in the frequency-domain. Actually, this method is straight forward technique for interpretation of minor impulse faults in transformers. Also Simulation results obtained for a range of distribution transformer digital models are presented to illustrate the ability of this approach to classify insulation failures during impulse testing. The proposed method has been applied for impulse fault analysis of a analog model of a 12kVA single phase transformer. Keywords: transformer; Impulse test; Fault; FFT

Internet of Things is a concept where each device is assign to an IP address and through that IP address anyone makes that device identifiable on internet. Basically it started as the “Internet of Computers.” Research studies have forecast an explosive growth in the number of “things” or devices that will be connected to the Internet. The resulting network is called the “Internet of Things” (IoT) [1]. The recent developments in technology which permit the use of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi have enabled different devices to have capabilities of connecting with each other. Using a WIFI shield to act as a Micro web server for the Arduino which eliminates the need for wired connections between the Arduino board and computer which reduces cost and enables it to work as a standalone device. The Wi-Fi shield needs connection to the internet from a wireless router or wireless hotspot and this would act as the gateway for the Arduino to communicate with the internet. With this in mind, an internet based home automation system for remote control of home appliances is designed.
The internet of things (IoT) has a significant impact on increasing the efficiency and quality of electricity in large power systems. Smart voltage and current monitoring systems (SVCMS) have been developed using a novel method. Using an Arduino Uno microcontroller and a Wi-Fi module, the integrated SVCMS design measures voltage and current sensor findings and sends the processed data to an Android phone. In order to communicate, the global systems for mobile communication (GSM) module is required. When anything goes wrong, an Android app may be used to notify users by text message or email and help them take the right action.
