This document provides an overview of a course on public health interventions. The course will use different frameworks to classify public health interventions and feature guest speakers who have implemented such interventions in the field. Students will be evaluated based on quizzes, a term paper, and a final exam. Recitation sessions will also be part of the grade, where students will be randomly called on to recite and discuss readings. The course covers topics like entitlement frameworks, social protection, capability approaches, social exclusion, and human security over 9 sessions with readings and speakers on each topic. Office hours and email will be available for consultation.
