CARRIER TALKS कै रियि वार्ाा
 career talk is on special field of occupations or training
appropriate to group of particular educational levels ,
emphasizing the importance of vocational planning .
 व्यावसाययक वाताा व्यावसाययक क्षेत्र के ववशेष क्षेत्र के लिए उपयुक्त
व्यवसाय या प्रलशक्षण के ववशेष क्षेत्र पर है, जो व्यावसाययक योजना के
महत्व पर बि देती है।
STRUCTURE OF CARRIER TALKS
कै रियि वार्ाा का स्वरुप
 The parents could speak to the pupils about their jobs. Besides the employment
exchange officers could give a talk to the pupils every now and then. The career
talks could also take the shape of conferences in the schools. So some career
conferences can be organised in the school. The employers or experienced workers
or experts can be invited to these conferences as guest speakers who can generate
awareness and enlighten pupils about the different aspects of certain occupations.
 माता-वपता अपने काम के बारे में ववद्यार्थायों से बात कर सकते थे। रोजगार ववयनमय
अर्िकाररयों के अिावा हर बार और बाद में ववद्यार्थायों से बात कर सकते हैं। कररयर वाताा
भी स्कू िों में सम्मेिनों का आकार िे सकती थी। तो स्कू ि में कु छ कै ररयर सम्मेिन
आयोजजत ककए जा सकते हैं। यनयोक्ताओं या अनुभवी श्रलमकों या ववशेषज्ञों को इन सम्मेिनों
में अयतर्थ वक्ताओं के रूप में आमंत्रत्रत ककया जा सकता है, जो कु छ व्यवसायों के ववलभन्न
पहिुओं के बारे में जागरूकता और प्रबुद्ि ववद्यार्थायों को उत्पन्न कर सकते हैं।
CAREER EXHIBITION
कै ररयर प्रदशानी
 a career exhibition means to organized display of material of occupational interest .
although it is usually not possible to give detailed information through a display
,certain basis idea can be presented simply and clearly and at the same time , it can
also be useful in directed to student other sources of information. Student can
play an active role in planning and organizing career exhibition.
 कै ररयर प्रदशानी का मतिब व्यावसाययक हहत की सामग्री के संगहित प्रदशान से है। हािााँकक
यह आमतौर पर एक डिस््िे के माध्यम से ववस्तृत जानकारी देने के लिए संभव नहीं है,
यनजचचत आिार ववचार को सरि और स्पष्ट रूप से प्रस्तुत ककया जा सकता है और साथ ही,
यह सूचना के अन्य स्रोतों से छात्र के लिए उपयोगी भी हो सकता है। छात्र कै ररयर प्रदशानी
की योजना और आयोजन में एक सकिय भूलमका यनभा सकता है।
CAREER EXHIBITION
कै ररयर प्रदशानी
 Information collected from different sources is to be classified and made available to pupils.
Charts, posters, leaflets, newspaper cuttings can be displayed on bulletin boards. Besides
booklets, leaflets, books, journals, directories and other printed materials may be exhibited
on display racks. These materials can be placed in a separate library or in a corner of the
school library and the pupils can handle them in their leisure hours. It must be noted that
the display materials are carefully selected and attractively arranged.
CLASS TALKS BY SUBJECT TEACHER
 The talk or speech is to be followed by a question answer session in which
the doubts and confusion of pupils can be clarified. Some career
conferences may last for some hours, some for a day and some conferences
may extend over several days involving speakers from different occupations,
interview with different representatives from different industries, displays,
exhibitions, film shows etc.
 ककसी प्रचन उत्तर सत्र के बाद बात या भाषण करना होता है जजसमें ववद्यार्थायों की शंकाओं और भ्रम
को स्पष्ट ककया जा सकता है। कु छ कै ररयर सम्मेिन कु छ घंटों के लिए हो सकते हैं, कु छ हदन के
लिए और कु छ सम्मेिन कई हदनों तक ववस्ताररत हो सकते हैं, जजसमें ववलभन्न व्यवसायों के वक्ता
शालमि होते हैं, ववलभन्न उद्योगों के ववलभन्न प्रयतयनर्ियों के साथ साक्षात्कार, प्रदशान, प्रदशायनयां,
किल्म शो आहद।
BULLETIN BOARDS
 Bulletin board announcement and other devices:- bulletin board announcement ,display
and other devices may be used to call attention to the information available.
 Copies of handouts received from DGE and UGC, different ministries and social
agencies/university employment information and guidance bureau can also be displayed
with advantage.
 A special notice board or bulletin board bearing the name ‘vocational guidance’ is
described .
BULLETIN BOARDS
VISITS
 It implies visit to place of work, plants, factories and business establishment. To provide the pupils direct
experience with certain occupations they can be taken on educational tours or visits to some important
industrial plants and business establishments.
VISITS
 Through visit the places of work:- visits to places of works , factories or business
establishment can also prove useful as the pupils can get first- hand knowledge about the
working conditions.

INDIVIDUAL METHOD OF PRESENTING OCCUPATIONAL
INFORMATION
 The better medium is asking questions to the counselee by the counselor .according to
Bera & Royber , during Interview following questions should be asked :-
 In what circumstances occupational information is provided in counseling interview ?
 How much help is done by counselor to the
 counselee in utilizing occupational information ?
 Which occupational information is proper for the counsel , how does a counselor
determine it ?
 How does the counselor evaluate the utility of occupational information , provided in
counseling interview ?

  • 2. METHODS OF DISSEMINATING INFORMATION सूचना प्रसाररत करने के तरीके  There are two basic methods of presenting occupational information to students:- 1.Individual methods 2.Group methods

CARRIER TALKS कै रियि वार्ाा  career talk is on special field of occupations or training appropriate to group of particular educational levels , emphasizing the importance of vocational planning .  व्यावसाययक वाताा व्यावसाययक क्षेत्र के ववशेष क्षेत्र के लिए उपयुक्त व्यवसाय या प्रलशक्षण के ववशेष क्षेत्र पर है, जो व्यावसाययक योजना के महत्व पर बि देती है।
  • 6. STRUCTURE OF CARRIER TALKS कै रियि वार्ाा का स्वरुप  The parents could speak to the pupils about their jobs. Besides the employment exchange officers could give a talk to the pupils every now and then. The career talks could also take the shape of conferences in the schools. So some career conferences can be organised in the school. The employers or experienced workers or experts can be invited to these conferences as guest speakers who can generate awareness and enlighten pupils about the different aspects of certain occupations.  माता-वपता अपने काम के बारे में ववद्यार्थायों से बात कर सकते थे। रोजगार ववयनमय अर्िकाररयों के अिावा हर बार और बाद में ववद्यार्थायों से बात कर सकते हैं। कररयर वाताा भी स्कू िों में सम्मेिनों का आकार िे सकती थी। तो स्कू ि में कु छ कै ररयर सम्मेिन आयोजजत ककए जा सकते हैं। यनयोक्ताओं या अनुभवी श्रलमकों या ववशेषज्ञों को इन सम्मेिनों में अयतर्थ वक्ताओं के रूप में आमंत्रत्रत ककया जा सकता है, जो कु छ व्यवसायों के ववलभन्न पहिुओं के बारे में जागरूकता और प्रबुद्ि ववद्यार्थायों को उत्पन्न कर सकते हैं।
  • 7. CAREER EXHIBITION कै ररयर प्रदशानी  a career exhibition means to organized display of material of occupational interest . although it is usually not possible to give detailed information through a display ,certain basis idea can be presented simply and clearly and at the same time , it can also be useful in directed to student other sources of information. Student can play an active role in planning and organizing career exhibition.  कै ररयर प्रदशानी का मतिब व्यावसाययक हहत की सामग्री के संगहित प्रदशान से है। हािााँकक यह आमतौर पर एक डिस््िे के माध्यम से ववस्तृत जानकारी देने के लिए संभव नहीं है, यनजचचत आिार ववचार को सरि और स्पष्ट रूप से प्रस्तुत ककया जा सकता है और साथ ही, यह सूचना के अन्य स्रोतों से छात्र के लिए उपयोगी भी हो सकता है। छात्र कै ररयर प्रदशानी की योजना और आयोजन में एक सकिय भूलमका यनभा सकता है।

  • 9. CAREER EXHIBITION कै ररयर प्रदशानी  Information collected from different sources is to be classified and made available to pupils. Charts, posters, leaflets, newspaper cuttings can be displayed on bulletin boards. Besides booklets, leaflets, books, journals, directories and other printed materials may be exhibited on display racks. These materials can be placed in a separate library or in a corner of the school library and the pupils can handle them in their leisure hours. It must be noted that the display materials are carefully selected and attractively arranged.
  • 10. CLASS TALKS BY SUBJECT TEACHER  The talk or speech is to be followed by a question answer session in which the doubts and confusion of pupils can be clarified. Some career conferences may last for some hours, some for a day and some conferences may extend over several days involving speakers from different occupations, interview with different representatives from different industries, displays, exhibitions, film shows etc.  ककसी प्रचन उत्तर सत्र के बाद बात या भाषण करना होता है जजसमें ववद्यार्थायों की शंकाओं और भ्रम को स्पष्ट ककया जा सकता है। कु छ कै ररयर सम्मेिन कु छ घंटों के लिए हो सकते हैं, कु छ हदन के लिए और कु छ सम्मेिन कई हदनों तक ववस्ताररत हो सकते हैं, जजसमें ववलभन्न व्यवसायों के वक्ता शालमि होते हैं, ववलभन्न उद्योगों के ववलभन्न प्रयतयनर्ियों के साथ साक्षात्कार, प्रदशान, प्रदशायनयां, किल्म शो आहद।
  • 11. BULLETIN BOARDS  Bulletin board announcement and other devices:- bulletin board announcement ,display and other devices may be used to call attention to the information available.  Copies of handouts received from DGE and UGC, different ministries and social agencies/university employment information and guidance bureau can also be displayed with advantage.  A special notice board or bulletin board bearing the name ‘vocational guidance’ is described .
  • 13. VISITS  It implies visit to place of work, plants, factories and business establishment. To provide the pupils direct experience with certain occupations they can be taken on educational tours or visits to some important industrial plants and business establishments.
  • 14. VISITS  Through visit the places of work:- visits to places of works , factories or business establishment can also prove useful as the pupils can get first- hand knowledge about the working conditions.
  • 16. OTHER INFORMATION WAYS  Through college day programme  Through students club and council Through special subjects teacher  Through posters and advertisements cuttings  Through vocational conferences  Through group therapy  Through display charts, graphs and published material Through co-curricular activities  Through audio-visual aids  By inviting specialist

INDIVIDUAL METHOD OF PRESENTING OCCUPATIONAL INFORMATION  The better medium is asking questions to the counselee by the counselor .according to Bera & Royber , during Interview following questions should be asked :-  In what circumstances occupational information is provided in counseling interview ?  How much help is done by counselor to the  counselee in utilizing occupational information ?  Which occupational information is proper for the counsel , how does a counselor determine it ?  How does the counselor evaluate the utility of occupational information , provided in counseling interview ?
