This presentation discusses various differential protection schemes including circulating current, balanced voltage, percentage differential, transmission line, and carrier aided protection schemes. The circulating current scheme is suitable for pilot wire resistances up to 1000 ohms and capacitances up to 2.5 microfarads. The percentage differential protection relay is used for protection of generators and transformers, providing about 85% earth fault protection for generator windings. Carrier aided protection is most widely used for ultra-high and extra-high voltage power line protection utilizing carrier signals of 500-700 kHz.

Differential Protection of Power Transformer in Substationijtsrd
Protection scheme required for the protection of power system components against abnormal conditions such as faults etc., and that essentially consists of protective relaying and circuit breaker. Protective relay senses the fault and determines the location of fault. Then, protective relay sends the tripping command to the circuit breaker. Therefore, proper care should be taken in designing and selecting an appropriate relay which is reliable, efficient and fast in operation. The voltage transformer and current transformer continuously measure the voltage and current of an electrical system and are responsible to give feedback signals to the relays to enable then to detect abnormal conditions. This paper describes differential protection for power transformer, especially the rating of purposed system is 100 MVA, 230 kV 33 kV at substation. Consideration of Three Phase Faults on Transmission Line with Distance Protec...ijtsrd
In a modern power system, electrical energy from the generating station is delivered to the consumers through a network of transmission and distribution. Transmission lines are also important elements of electric power system and require attention of protecting for safety against the possible faults occurring on them. The detection of a fault and disconnection of a faulty section or apparatus can be achieved by using fuses or relays in conjunction with circuit breakers. Distance relay has the ability to detect a fault within a distance along a transmission line or cable from its location. Distance relay protection is the most widely used in case of high voltage and extra high voltage in the transmission line. In this paper discussion about how to protect the long transmission line with distance relay. A reluctance motor is a type of electric motor that induces non-permanent magnetic poles on the ferromagnetic rotor. The rotor does not have any windings. It generates torque through magnetic reluctance.
Reluctance motor sub types include synchronous, variable, switched and variable stepping.
Reluctance motors can deliver high power density at low cost, making them attractive for many applications. Disadvantages include high torque ripple (the difference between maximum and minimum torque during one revolution) when operated at low speed, and noise due to torque ripple.
The motor which runs at synchronous speed is known as the synchronous motor. The synchronous speed is the constant speed at which the motor generates the electromotive force. The synchronous motor is used for converting the electrical energy into mechanical energy.
he stator and rotor are the two main parts of the synchronous motor. The stator is the stationary part, and the rotor is the rotating part of the machine. The three-phase AC supply is given to the stator of the motor.
This presentation provides information about Synchronous Motor.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

3. Circulating Current Scheme
This scheme is suitable for pilot
wire resistance up to 1000 Ω and
capacitance between pilot wire is
up to 2.5µF.
Under normal operating condition
the polarity of C.T secondary is as
shown in figure.
Under this condition current does
not flow through the operating
coil. In case of fault the polarity of
C.T is reversed and current flow
through the operating coil. And
hence relay will be operate.
4. Balanced Voltage Scheme
The operating coil of relay
is placed in series with pilot
wires and hence current
does not flow through the
pilot wires under normal
condition.
In case of fault the polarity
of reverse end C.T is
reversed. Hence the current
flows through the pilot
wires and the operating coil
of relay and hence relay
will be operate.
5. Percentage Differential Relay
The percentage differential
protection relay is used for
protection of generator and
transformer.
There are main two types of
coils are used,
R.C=Restraining Coil.
O.C=Operating Coil.
Such type of system
provides about 85% of earth
fault protection to the
generator winding.
6. Transmission Line Protection
The differential protection used
for the protection of
transmission line with the help
of induction disc type relay
such system is called as
Transley System.
This system works on principle
of Balanced Voltage Scheme.
This system can be used for
long pilots having a loop
resistance up to 1000Ω.
7. Carrier Aided Protection Scheme
This is most widely used for the
protection of UHV and EHV
power lines.
The frequency of carrier signal
is about 500KHz to 700KHz.
This system is cheaper and more
reliable.
8.
The differential protection used for the protection of transmission line, the
percentage differential protection relay is used for protection of generator
and transformer where as carrier aided protection relay is most widely
used for the protection of UHV and EHV power lines.
