The idea of monitoring system integrates a global service mobile Modem, with a single chip microcontroller and different sensor interfacing. It is installed at the distribution transformer site and the above parameters are recorded using the analog to digital converter ADC of the embedded system. The parameters are processed and recorded in the system memory. If any emergency situation occurs the system sends SMS message to the mobile phones containing information about abnormality according to some predefined instructions which are programmed in the microcontroller. Further, this system can be enhanced by to control the electrical appliances remotely via SMS. Moreover, this system can reduce human efforts needed to record the meter reading which is till now recorded by visiting every home individually. - 1. DIESEL GENERATOR MONITORING SYSTEM USING MICROCONTROLLER: - ABSTRACT The electrical power system is extremely huge and complex network. That’s why there is probability that the electrical load may get damage. The power failure and generators fault is monitored to take reflex action and trips the supply to load through a relay. The monitoring parameters of generator like Fuel level, Oil level, Temperature, Current, Voltage regulations are informed to the authorized personnelthrough GSM in mode of SMS. Introduction The use of generators is very mandatory now-a-days for theessential outcome of the load by giving the continuous and uninterrupted supply of power to the load. These generators are widely used for this purposein almost in all the sectors. But still there are some of the drawbacks encountered by the operators and the owners i.e., fuel theft, generator maintenance data collection and analysis. Through the implementation of the Microcontroller with programmed chip the major difficulties on operating the generator can be minimized. Through this systeminformation like fuel level, temperature, oil level, voltage and currentcan be transmitted. ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS Microcontroller (PIC16F877A), GSM Modem (sim900), Fuel Level Sensor (fuel gauge), Temperature Sensors (LM35)
- 2. SIMULATION CIRCUIT FOR SENSOR AND DESIEL GENERATOR: - SYSTEM CONFIGURATION The system has two main divisions section. Hardware Software section The data’s and the fault in the hardware section is optimized and send information to the mobile through GSM by the software module. Hardware is the combination of the diesel generator, relay, current transformer, potential transformer sensors.
- 3. CONCLUSION This project is very much useful in the freedom of the operator for the betterment of the monitoring of the generator through GSM. This system provides the information of the generator is in normal or abnormal condition using GSM communication. This embedded controller has a wide scope of application on home appliance, industrial projects etc. START INITLALIZE THE SYSTEM POWER FAILURE GENERATOR START CONTIONOUS POWER TO SMS THROUGH GENERATOR GENERATOR MONITORING SENSING THE FULE LEVEL,TEMP LEVEL AND OIL LEVEL STOP FLOW PROCESS
