7. Steps before Meditation ध्यान से पहेले
५ यम औि एकाग्रता
जीवन के लक्ष्य की औि एकाग्रता बनी िहे इसके शलए पांच त्स्र्थतत में यमिाज को याद किें
1. सत्य औि एकाग्रता: जूठ बोलने पि मन ववचशलत हो जाता है| जूठ पकड़ा न जाए इसके
शलए जो गलत चेष्टाएँ किनी पड़ती है वह भी मन की चंचलता को बढाती है| जूठ पकड़ा
न जाए इसकी र्चंता भी मन को चंचल बनाती है| अतः कमण के शसदधांत पि श्रदधा
िखते हुए हि पल याद िखें क्रक सच्च नहीं बोलेंगे तो यम का डंडा हमािे ऊपि जरुि
पड़ेगा
2. अहहंसा औि एकाग्रता: हहंसा से दुसिो को बाद में पहले हमािे मन को नुकिान होता है|
मन को हहंसा ववचशलत कि देती है| अतः हि पल याद िखें क्रक मन, वचन, वार्ी से
हहंसा किेंगे तो यम का डंडा हमािे ऊपि जरुि पड़ेगा
3. जूठ की तिह चोिी भी मन को ववचशलत कि देती है| अतः हि पल याद िखें क्रक क्रकसी
के ववचािों की या वस्तुओं की चोिी किेंगे तो यम का डंडा हमािे ऊपि जरुि पड़ेंगा
4. ज्यादा वस्तुओं के िखिखाव में औि सुिक्षा में जो चेष्टाएँ की जाती है वह मन को चंचल
बना देती है| अतः हि पल याद िखें क्रक आवश्यकता से अर्धक वस्तुओं का संग्रह किेंगे
तो यम का डंडा हमािे ऊपि जरुि पड़ेंगा
5. ब्रह्म को मन का माशलक एवं एकाग्रता का सवोच्च शिखि मानते हुए उसी में ववचिर्
किने से भी एकाग्रता बढ़ती है| इस से ववपिीत इत्न्दयों को खुल्ला छोड़ देने पि मन की
एकाग्रता कम होने लगती है| अतः हि पल याद िखें क्रक इत्न्ियों का संयम नहीं िखेंगे
तो यम का डंडा हमािे ऊपि जरुि पड़ेंगा
8. प ांच नियम और एक ग्रत :
१. स्वच्छ ििीि में हह स्वच्छ मन िहता है | कषाय कल्मषो की जब तक सफाई नहीं होती है मन
एकाग्र नहीं हो पाता| अतः मन औि ििीि को हंमेिा स्वच्छ बनाए िखने का तनयम बना लें
२. संतोषी मन जल्दी एकाग्र होता है| जीतने भौततक साधन शमले है उसी में खुि िहने तनयम बना लें
3. कठनाइयों में मन योगसाधना के मागण से दूि जाने लगता है| अतः योग के मागण में आने वाली
कठनाईयो को सहन किने का तनयम बना लें
४. स्वाध्याय से मन को एकाग्र किने के नए नए तिीको तर्था तनयमो के बािे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकािी
शमलती है| अतः यौर्गक ग्रंर्थो का तनयशमत अभ्यास किनें का तनयम बना लें
५. कठनाइयों में मन भयभीत होने लगता है| भयभीत मन एकाग्र नहीं हो सकता है| मन को भय से
मुक्त किने के शलए इश्वि प्रणर्धान की सहायता ली जा सकती है|
अतः क्रकसी भी परित्स्र्थतत में ईश्वि ववश्वास को बनाए िखने का तनयम बना लें
9. ध्य ि में आसि क महत्व:
मि को एक ग्र करिे के लिए एक स्थिनत में स्थिर रहेि आवश्यक है| ध्य ि त्मक आसि इसके लिए ि भद यी है| अन्य आसि
शरीर के थि युओां के कम्पि को कम करते हुए शरीर को थवथि बि िे में सह यक है जो मि को एक ग्र करिे के लिए जरुरी है|
ध्य ि में प्र ण य म क महत्व:
मि प्र णों के प्रव हो पर झूित रहत है| प्र णों के स्थिर होिे पर मि भी स्थिर हो ज त है| इसलिए ववद्व ि िोग ध्य ि से पहिे
प्र ण य म करिे की सि ह देते है|
ध्य ि में प्रत्य ह र क महत्व:
जब तक इत्न्ियाँ बाहिी ववषयों का सेवन किती िहती हे मन एकाग्र नहीं हो पाता है| अतः उन्हें अंतमुणखी बनाना
अत्यंत आवश्यक है|
ध्य ि में ध रण क महत्व:
मन को एकाग्र किने के शलए क्रकसी एक वास्तु पि आँखों को के त्न्ित क्रकया जाता है या क्रकसी एक ववषय पि मन
को के त्न्ित क्रकया जाता है धािर्ा के अभ्यास से धीिे धीिे ध्यान अपने आप लगने लगता है|
