यह अध्ययन सामग्री मीमांसा दर्शन से सम्बन्धित एक परिचयात्मक अध्ययन है, जिसे विश्वविद्यालय स्तर के एम. ए. शिक्षाशास्त्र विषय के विद्यार्थी को ध्यान में रखकर तैयार किया गया है. हमें आशा ही नहीं अपितु पूर्ण विश्वास है कि यह अध्ययन सामग्री मीमांसा दर्शन के प्रति जिज्ञासु लोगों के लिए यत्किंचित् रूप में उपादेय सिद्ध हो सकता है.
4. योग क्या है?
।
संस्कृ त धातु 'युज' से निकला है, जिसका मतलब है व्यजततगत चेतिा या आत्मा
का सार्वभौममक चेतिा या रूह से ममलि। योग, भारतीय ज्ञान की पांच हजार
वर्ष पुरानी शैली है। हालाांकक कई लोग योग को के र्ल शारीररक व्यायाम ही
मािते हैं, िहााँ लोग शरीर को मोडते, मरोड़ते, ख ांचते हैं और श्र्ास लेिे के
िटिल तरीके अपिाते हैं। यह र्ास्तर् में के र्ल मिुष्य के मि और आत्मा की
अिांत क्षमता का ुलासा करिे र्ाले इस गहि वर्ज्ञाि के सबसे सतही पहलू हैं।
योग वर्ज्ञाि में िीर्ि शैली का पूर्व सार आत्मसात ककया गया है।
गुरुदेर् श्री श्री रवर् शांकर कहते हैं, "योग ससर्ष व्यायाम और आसन नहीं है। यह
भार्िात्मक एकीकरर् और रहस्यर्ादी तत्र् का स्पशव मलए हुए एक आध्याजत्मक
ऊां चाई है, िो आपको सभी कल्पिाओां से परे की कु छ एक झलक देता है।"

6. ***योग का इततहास***
योग दस हिार साल से भी अधिक समय से प्रचलि में है। मििशील परांपरा का
सबसे तरौतािा उल्ले , िासदीय सूतत में, सबसे पुरािे िीर्न्त साटहत्य ऋग्र्ेद
में पाया िाता है। यह हमें किर से मसन्िु-सरस्र्ती सभ्यता के दशवि कराता है।
ठीक उसी सभ्यता से, पशुपनत मुहर (मसतका) जिस पर योग मुद्रा में वर्रािमाि
एक आकृ नत है, िो र्ह उस प्राचीि काल में योग की व्यापकता को दशावती है।
हालाांकक, प्राचीितम उपनिषद, बृहदअरण्यक में भी, योग का टहस्सा बि चुके ,
वर्मभन्ि शारीररक अभ्यासों का उल्ले ममलता है। छाांदोग्य उपनिषद में प्रत्याहार
का तो बृहदअरण्यक के एक स्तर्ि (र्ेद मांत्र) में प्रार्ायाम के अभ्यास का
उल्ले ममलता है। यथार्त, ”योग” के र्तवमाि स्र्रूप के बारे में, पहली बार
उल्ले शायद कठोपनिषद में आता है, यह यिुर्ेद की कथाशा ा के अांनतम आठ
र्गों में पहली बार शाममल होता है िोकक एक मुख्य और महत्र्पूर्व उपनिषद है।
योग को यहााँ भीतर (अन्तमवि) की यात्रा या चेतिा को वर्कमसत करिे की एक
प्रकिया के रूप में दे ा िाता है।
7. प्रमसद्ि सांर्ाद, “योग याज्ञर्ल्तय” में, िोकक (बृहदअरण्यक उपनिषद में र्खर्वत है),
जिसमें बाबा याज्ञर्ल्तय और मशष्य ब्रह्मर्ादी गागी के बीच कई सााँस लेिे सम्बन्िी
व्यायाम, शरीर की सिाई के मलए आसि और ध्याि का उल्ले है। गागी द्र्ारा
छाांदोग्य उपनिषद में भी योगासि के बारे में बात की गई है।
अथर्वर्ेद में उल्लेख त सांन्यामसयों के एक समूह, र्ाताव (सभा) द्र्ारा, शारीररक आसि
िोकक योगासन के रूप में वर्कमसत हो सकता है पर बल टदया गया है| यहााँ तक कक
सांटहताओां में उल्लेख त है कक प्राचीि काल में मुनियों, महात्माओां, र्ातावओां (सभाओां)
और वर्मभन्ि सािु और सांतों द्र्ारा कठोर शारीररक आचरर्, ध्याि र् तपस्या का
अभ्यास ककया िाता था।
योग िीरे-िीरे एक अर्िारर्ा के रूप में उभरा है और भगर्द गीता के साथ साथ,
महाभारत के शाांनतपर्व में भी योग का एक वर्स्तृत उल्ले ममलता है।
बीस से भी अधिक उपनिषद और योग र्मशष्ठ उपलब्ि हैं, जििमें महाभारत और
भगर्द गीता से भी पहले से ही, योग के बारे में, सर्ोच्च चेतिा के साथ मि का
ममलि होिा कहा गया है।
8. टहांदू दशवि के प्राचीि मूलभूत सूत्र के रूप में योग की चचाव की गई है और
शायद सबसे अलांकृ त पतांिमल योगसूत्र में इसका उल्ले ककया गया है। अपिे
दूसरे सूत्र में पतांिमल, योग को कु छ इस रूप में पररभावषत करते हैं:
" योग: चचत्त-वृत्तत्त तनरोध: "- योग सूत्र 1.2
पतांिमल का ले ि भी अष्िाांग योग के मलए आिार बि गया। िैि िमव की पाांच
प्रनतज्ञा और बौद्ि िमव के योगाचार की िडें पतांिमल योगसूत्र मे निटहत हैं।
मध्यकालीि युग में हठ योग का वर्कास हुआ।
