“Bureaucracy, Visa Offices, and
Notaries … Oh my!”
In Matthew 9:38, Jesus states, “Therefore,
pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers
into His harvest.” As some of you are already
aware, the process of me obtaining a long-stay
visa for Romania has not been going smooth-
ly. Bureaucracy and new laws have been a big
blocker in my pursuit of getting to Romania by
March. It is very likely that I will have to
take one or two more short-term trips to
Romania just to get some paperwork set for the
long-term visa. It has been exhausting and
frustrating to say the least. There are two visa
options currently being considered (the one I
had pursued for several months couldn’t go
through because of new laws), and both require
time and a load of work - and I am willing to
push through it.
There is at least one thing I am thankful
for throughout all of this mess - we do not need
to go through government offices, lawyers, or
notaries to have access to our Father in
Heaven! It is a comfort to know that those who
are bought with the precious blood of Christ
already have that seal - the Holy Spirit - that
gives them access to our Father in Heaven
(Romans 8:26-27). Prayers and supplications
made to God with thanksgiving can give us a
deep inner peace (Philippians 4:6-7). So as I go
throughout this long, exhausting, bureaucratic
process, I ask that you continue to keep me in
your prayers. Whatever the Lord wills, let it be
done!

Thank you
Deerfoot Congregation,
We want to express our sincere appreciation for all of the
cards, visits, words of encouragement, food and expres-
sions of love during Frances’ illness and ultimate death.
Each handshake, hug, smile or any other gesture of your
love, was and is greatly cherished but the greatest we all
have is kowing that you are there for and with us. Thanks
to all from the bottom of our hearts. It is times like this
you really know how great it is to be a part of a Christian
family.
