Today, I want to inform you all that we have taken on support for two new works: one in Japan and one in the South Pacific. The Taylor Family in Japan: Leslie Taylor, his wife Sara and their daughters Cambria (11), Madeleine (9), and son Boston (5) have moved to Japan for the second time. Leslie and Sara are both classmates of mine at Freed Hardeman, and they are good friends with our own Yoshi and Karen Sugita. I am very proud of Leslie, as he has learned Japanese and preaches for the Matsudo Church of Christ in a suburb of Tokyo (Chiba Prefecture). They are there to evangelize to Japan, but also minister to the congregation there. To reach Japan, Les- lie is translating material into Japanese and producing video content to reach younger generations for Christ. Leslie has a heart for God and for Japan. He and Sara were there 10 years ago during the tsu- nami that claimed the lives of 20,000 souls. Ever since, he has been dedicated to reaching the survivors. If you want to learn more of their work and how to further pray for the Taylors, visit taylorsinjapan.com The Ferguson Family in the South Pacific: We recently met Nathan, Rachel, Atticus, and Zoe Ferguson when they visited Deerfoot and Nathan spoke of the work in detail. Below is a letter of thanks from them for your support. To the Deerfoot Church family, God has blessed us with so many opportunities to serve Him. We are so grateful to Him for the ability to work in the Church. He shows us his love in so many ways, especially through you. We are thankful to you for the monthly support that you plan to give to help with the cause of Christ in the Pacific. We are very humbled by your generosity. We are so thankful to be closely associated with your congregation. We appreciate the opportunity to share the Pacific Islands Bible College work with you. There are many challenges, but also souls, that can be reached in the Pacific. We are thankful for fellow Christians like yourselves who make the work possible. Sincerely yours, the Ferguson Family.
