Joshua Dykes
Hello to all my friends at Deerfoot!
I look forward to being with you again soon!
As many of you probably know, I have been training
the last two and a half years in Swartz Creek, MI for
mission work in Romania. Over the past six years (I
attended FHU from 2017 to 2021), I have prepared for
this work. I am very thankful for Paul Holland and my
elders in Swartz Creek, and I am also thankful for all the
elders and members here at Deerfoot!
Over the next few months, I will be winding
down my time here in the USA. I will be continuing my
visa process, fundraising at congregations in the South,
helping the Deerfoot congregation in various areas, and
spending much needed time with my earthly and
spiritual families.
In March 2024, I will be leaving here to work
with the Church indefinitely in Romania. Paul writes
in Romans 1:16 that he is not ashamed of the gospel
because it is the power of God to salvation. Over the last
2.5 years, I have been fortunate enough to see the gospel
change peoples’ lives in Michigan. God’s power still
works today even though our media may say
otherwise! And I am thankful to God for congregations
like you that make it possible for workers to go to
places that need God’s word!
- Joshua Dykes

ceived on our birthdays. Also for the gifts.
In Christian Love,
Johnny and Betty
A note of thanks for my birthday cards and also the ones
I’ve received through the year. It means so much to be
remembered. No congregation is as loving as Deerfoot
Church of Christ.
Love to all,
Rachel Sellers
Thank you,
Thank you for all of the cards, calls, visits and wonderful
food brought to me during my recovery from shoulder
surgery. It is wonderful to be a member of this family.
