The Battle Of Chancellorsville Campaign
During the American Civil War, the United States was plagued with conflict, struggle, and copious
amounts of spilled blood. Furthermore, countless battles were fought to decide the fate of slavery and
the Union as a whole. However, one of these battles in particular, the Chancellorsville Campaign,
should definitely be one of interest. Taking place after the horror of Fredericksburg, an event in which
the Union Army of the Potomac failed to take the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1862 (Bowery
and Doss 27), the Chancellorsville campaign lasted from May 1 to May 5, 1863. It was an attempt by
the Union to destroy the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia that resulted in disaster for both
sides. ( Battle of Chancellorsville, Brittanica) As a matter of fact, the Chancellorsville Campaign was
such a significant development in the course of the Civil War that many happenings in this battle have
affected both the rest of this era and the years beyond. To begin with, there were three men who
played major roles in this battle, with the first being Robert Edward Lee, a Confederate general. Born
on January 19, 1807, Lee was the commander of the Army of Northern Virginia, the most capable
army in the South. ( Robert E. Lee, Brittanica) By Lee s side was another Confederate general known
as Thomas Stonewall Jackson. Indeed, Jackson was among the Civil War s most skilled tacticians,
earning the moniker Stonewall after his success at the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861.

Dust Bowl Criticism
The printed work of the Dust Bowl written by Donald Worster tells of the devastating man made
events that occurred between 1929 and 1939. Worster described this time in history as the darkest
moment life in the southern plains encountered in the twentieth century (4) which was a time where
drought, poverty, and famine were of concern. Worster also ties the Great Depression with the Dust
Bowl and said that the same society produced them both because of the weakness of America (5). He
strongly believes that the Dust Bowl was not a disaster created by nature, but a crisis created by man
due to capitalism. Dust Bowl gives a powerful stance on how man ignored the limits of the land which
led them into the dirty thirties; however, his beliefs cause him to disregard the disaster as the fault of
nature, and specifically blamed man. Large numbers of people migrated to the grasslands and plowed
the areas to farm. Over time, the soil wore out and the cycle of rain stopped, causing the soil to blow
away. The natural way that wildlife lived was disrupted by civilization, and since nature was damaged,
the mutual cooperation between humans, land, animals, and soil failed. Man wanted to proceed
forward, but their desire for wealth caused them a Great Depression, and a horrendous storm that
wiped away their land. The expansion to the frontier and the wearing of the soil was not to make a
living, but to bring more money to the people even though the soil was not capable of growing a
sizable amount of crops. The point that Worster clearly makes throughout his book was that capitalism
caused the problem. He believed the two linked disasters, The Dust Bowl and The Great Depression
were entirely man made because of flaws in American society. Worster could not define capitalism
with one simple meaning, but says that man viewed the land as a business. They worked the land until
they could not work it anymore, and even then, they continued to plow the fields trying to get every
last grain that would provide them with more money. Worster wrote that man had a right to use the
land because the highest economic rewards go to those who have done the most to extract nature from
all it can yield (Worster 6). Therefore, the land was

False Eyelashes Research Paper
For approximately 6,000 years women have utilized artificial means to enhance the appearance of
their eyes. Throughout the Victorian Era using Mascara became fashionable, and in 1916 false
eyelashes were developed. A current improvement in the actual enhancement of the woman s
eyelashes is the invention of eyelash extension. What s The Difference Between False Eyelashes And
Eyelash Extensions? A false eyelash is a reproduction of a complete eyelash on a base that is glued to
the eye lid around the bottom of the eyelashes. They can easily be removed and are only a short term
enhancement to improve the appearance of eyelashes. An eyelash extension is a series of individual
eyelashes that are glued to current eyelashes and will last for around

Washing A Car Soap Of Your Choice
People usually think that washing a car is something that they have to do, and think that it s a
painstaking process that takes forever. They could also pay to wash it, but why would you do that
when you could pressure wash it and make the process much easier? If you do not have one, either
find a neighbor or friend who does or make a wise investment of actually buying a decent one that has
options for different pressures and to shoot out soap as well. Other things you will need is a car soap
of your choice (warning: dish soap is not recommended). You will need to put your vehicle close to a
hose, tire cleaner, a washing and drying machine, a window cleaner like invisible glass®, an industrial
vacuum, a soft brush, and carpet cleaning product, microfiber clothes, and newspaper. Depending on
what the interior is made out of, you will have to get special products if its leather or suede etc. and
lastly you will need a detailer for the plastic on the interior, Any brand will do, but Maguire s is
recommended.
I would start by cleaning the interior, but you can start on the exterior if preferred. First, take
everything out that is not part of the car like trash and personal things like books and clothes. Then
take out all of the removable carpets that are in the car, and briefly clean them to where there is no
visible dirt and trash on it. Then you would make time to dedicate a washing machine to just the
carpet since that this is the best way that I have come up with to wash

Should English Be the Official Language of the Us
Should English be the Official Language in the United States
Even though other countries have their own official language, not making English the official
language in the U.S. will help preserve the different cultures that decide to live in the US.
Communities are built based on cultures and the U. S. economy depends on other countries and their
people.
One of the greatest barriers today in the U.S. is the effectiveness of communication.
Whether that communication is written or verbal there is a noticeable gap and is costly both in
monetary and people. With many government challenges in the U.S.; it is still fighting the growing
question, should English be the official language of the United States ? With the increased in ... Show

According to the Migration Information Source, In 2011, there were 25.3 million Limited English
Proficient (LEP) individuals residing in the United States, or roughly 9 percent of the nation s
population ages 5 and older. Although most LEP individuals were foreign born, nearly one fifth of this
population was native born, about three quarters of whom were children ages 5 to 17. (Batalova, 2013)
Foreign born individuals will face a major cultural impact if the official changing the language to
English happens. It take some time to affect the entirety of the United States, but the majority of the
success of that change will come from the border states: California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and
Florida.
State agencies will need the support of the Federal government in order to facilitate changes in such a
way that non English speaking immigrants do not overcome those agencies in the supply/demand of
needs.
State agencies will also face scrutiny in the successful crossover of languages, by pushing the issue
within their own major avenues; education, healthcare, and human services. As the Federal
Government trickles down its changes, the State must come together to format its own set of rules and
regulations, to implement state controlled projects and to

Medical Malpractice Claims
I ve chosen the topic of medical malpractice for this essay. I chose this topic because it is a topic that I
think someone could disagree with and argue, so therefore it s also one that I can help persuade
someone into thinking I m right about. My question is has medical malpractice affected the level/
delivery of health care does it scaring future physicians away? This topic is important because it
impacts everyone whether they are seeking medical attention or the person providing it. It also affects
the cost of health care and people s access to it. I believe that medical malpractice makes it hard for
physicians to do their job without worry and fear of getting sued. This can impact their judgment and

In The Effect of Medical Malpractice Liability on the Delivery of Health Care, Daniel Weinberg
discusses the effects of medical malpractice liability on the delivery of health care in the United

focuses on physician workforce, physician income and patients access to care. Weinberg discusses the
affect medical malpractice is having on people in certain aspects of the medical field and also how it is
affecting those who are seeking medical attention. One of the main topics that Weinberg talks about is
how medical malpractice affects physicians and if it cause them to use defensive medicine, which goes
into how some people believe that defensive medicine can be a waste of money and affect how the

Feminist Manifesto
During these last thirteen weeks, I have discovered a lot about myself, not only as a student, but as a
feminist. Before taking this class, I knew that I wanted to be a feminist. I believed that women should
stand up and exercise their rights to be equal to men on every level. Be that as it may, I lacked the
education required to develop my own sense of feminism my feminist manifesto, if you will. When
approaching the topic of feminism, every person needs to ask themselves a list of questions: Who am
I? Who do I want to be? What has influenced me as a person? How can I help? These are the
beckoning questions we, as developing and purposeful human beings, ask ourselves every day, and
these are the questions that will lead each and every person

Social Identity Essay On Fishing
As a female college student, I have many identities. Some identities change, others don t, but either
way, they all have something in common they are each known as our social identity. One person can
have many social identities, just and many people can share a social identity. This phenomenon often
creates a common ground between people who may seem completely different. Social identities can
be anything for a lover of a certain type of music, sport, activity, or even just where these people are
from. I have moved a lot through my years, but no matter where I go, I can always find people who
share some of my social identities, which aids in feeling comfortable in a new place or situation.

I know this may sound harsh if you are not a hunter, but to hunters, it is more than just killing an
animal. It is retelling the stories of our ancestors, and providing us with the food God has provided for
us. When looking at types of hunting that take place, there are many different forms. The most popular
of which are deer hunting, squirrel hunting, turkey hunting, elk/moose hunting, and big game hunting.
Big game hunting is most often hunting done in other countries. Many times, it is found on the
continent of Africa, where people can big game hunt, where they hunt rhinos, elephants, lions, and
many other animals. Each type of hunting has certain people who love that type more than the others.
Often times, this itself is a big source of social identity within the realm of hunters. An important note
to make is how hunting is an ever decreasing part of our lives. An article talks about this decline and
mentions how From 1963 to 1967, the first years for which Alabama has data, an average of more than
113,000 hunters harvested more than 1 million rabbits a year. [And by the year of 2015] only 15,000
hunters harvested fewer than 100,000 rabbits. (Dewitt, A Vanishing

Compare And Contrast Jamestown And Massachusetts Bay Colony
On paper, both Jamestown and Massachusetts Bay Colony were founded by charter companies in
hopes of finding silver and gold in North America. However, the real reasons each colony was
founded differed. Jamestown was founded by the Virginia Company of London, while the
Massachusetts Bay Colony was founded by the Massachusetts Bay Company. Both colonies ran into
similar difficulties after establishment. In the end, both were able to find a way to prosper.
The charters for both colonies stated they wanted to find silver and gold. In reality, the settlers did
want to find riches, but also had other motives. Jamestown was the first permanent English settlement
in North America and was founded in 1607. England wanted a settlement in the New World.
Jamestown settlers went in search of gold and silver deposits as well as river route to Pacific Ocean.
The hope was the river route would allow for easier trade with Asia. The Jamestown settlers included

The settlers were 1000 well educated Puritan refugees from England. They left England due to
increasing pressure against religious dissenters. The Puritans created the Massachusetts Bay Company
and convinced the king to give them a charter. The king was unaware of their religious views and they
sold him on the chance of finding gold and silver. Even though the king thought the reason for
settlement was finding silver and gold, the real reason was religious freedom. The Puritans wanted to
be able to practice religion as they saw fit.
The initial failures faced by both settlements were very similar. Early problems included hunger,
illness, harsh winters, and attacks by local Indian tribes. Additionally, the Massachusetts Bay Colony
lacked fresh water and arrived later in the year than they wanted. This late arrival gave them less time

My Father Essay
Our world is filled with so many different types of people. As life goes on, people come and go just
like you pass cars on the highway. Some grow old while others die young. I have met so many
incredible and unbelievable people over the years. However, there is one person who stood out to me
above others, my father. He was someone like no other person could be. My father helped me through
everything. It is very heart breaking to say I no longer can go to him for anything, but I know he is
watching me from above. I would do anything to be able to talk to him again. My father impacted my
life tremendously like no other person has before. In the beginning, my father was a man who worked
his whole entire life, even up to a week before he passed away. He was very determined, smart, and
indescribable. He was someone who would take his own life for someone else and helped everyone he
met. All of the memories I have made with my father is significant to me. I have cherished each and
every one, whether it was good or bad. Losing someone is hard and your life completely changes.
Strengthening my faith in God has helped me the most through this tough time. No one said life was
going to be easy, but the bumps in life lead you to become a stronger person. Since my father has
passed away, he has made me change the way I look at life. Never take anything for granted and
always try your very best. If you set your mind to something, you will become successful. When I was

This particular paper, covering the issues of justice and ownership in returning artwork from the
Holocaust, makes a clear statement when it states As noted during parliamentary debates on the UK
Holocaust (Return of Cultural Objects) Act 2009, restitution affords some justice,4 legally or
financially drawing one line under the Nazi era.5 Since fourth century BC Athens, restitution has been
key to the legitimacy of successor societies. They undertake responsibility for past wrongs,6
(re)assume a place in the international community,7 and deftly side step collective guilt (O Donnell).
The article combines a historical and legal view in explaining why certain measures must be taken to
provide a consistent justice to the victims of the Holocaust by returning the looted art. The article also
takes time to explain why the recovery of Holocaust art became such a significant issue years after
World War II, citing causes like the fiftieth anniversary of the Holocaust and improved methods of
research and recovery (O Donnell). O Donnell provides a clear view of why art should be returned to
their original owners, the main theme being that art acts as a symbol for reconciliation and justice for
victims of the massive genocide of the Holocaust. This gives the recovery of Holocaust art a
symbolism and significance that associates with the topics of

Essay On Becoming A Republican
The way that I grew up was out in rural Memphis, Tennessee. Therefore, I was raised to be a Christian
and a republican. But my family was slightly different than the rest of the people I lived around. They
did not raise me to be a right winged republican. Instead, they took to heart what both democrats and
republicans had to say and they agree a little with both. So, that is how I am today, I would not go and
vote for someone just because they are a republican. If there is a person that is democrat, but brings to
the table more ideas that I agree with then I am more likely to vote for them. It depends on what the
person has to say, not what party they are in. I have met many people that do not share my way of

When someone tells me this, I find it best not to get mad or try to fight with them. Instead, I will at
first try to explain to them why I think this way and if they are not ready to open their mind to new
ways of thinking or do not with to see the way I think, or they simply enjoy fighting people on their
views. In this position it is best to let it go and not argue. If that is the way they think I respect that,
and I am not here to try and change their view. Another big controversy is over religion. Whenever the
discussion of religion comes up between me and an atheist or someone of another religion I stick to
one main goal. The goal is to not argue, just to listen. I do not wish to argue with someone, that
accomplishes nothing in such a circumstance. Instead, I wish to hear what the other person has to say
and try to understand why they feel this way. I would rather understand why other people have a

higher productivity. Albeit students have more freedom to do whatever they wish to do on an open

campus to buy necessary school supplies. Commodities such as restaurants are available around the

Students can enjoy a wide variety of options ranging from pizza to ethnic cuisines right there on

Media Influence On American Popular Culture
American popular culture which was ideological, worked to promote the interests of American
capitalism. Culture industries were controlled by giant corporations which were well organised to
meet the demands of the commercial system of culture that sold the values, life styles and institutions
suiting the American way of life. Walter Benjamin, an affiliate of the Frankfurt School took a positive
stand to the spurting of mass media in the US, treating it as an organ of social progress. In his The
Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction (1969), Benjamin noted how the new mass media
supplanted older forms of culture where by the mass reproduction of photography, film, recordings,
and publications replaced the emphasis on the originality and aura of the work of art in an earlier era

Benjamin believed that freed from the mystification of high culture, media culture could cultivate
more critical individuals capable of judging and analyzing their cultures, just as sports fans could
dissect and evaluate athletic activities. Compounding this, Benjamin believed that by processing the
rush of images created by cinema, the subjectivities were able to ward off and comprehend the flux of
turbulence of experience in industrialized, urbanized societies. In his essay entitled The Artist as
Producer (1999 [1934]) Benjamin argued that progressive cultural creators should refunction the
apparatus of cultural production, turning theatre and film, for instance, into a forum of political
enlightenment of progressive social change. Benjamin recognised that media could have conservative
effects and films could create a new kind of ideological magic through the cult of celebrity and
techniques like the close up that fetishized certain star or images via the technology of cinema. Thus
he remains one of the first radical critics to look carefully at the form and technology of media culture
in appraising its complex nature and effects

The Universal commercial Code ( UCC) has been created to foster the free flow of commercial
activity in the United States by making laws that are both reasonable and practical. Article 3 of this
code deals with negotiable instruments. These contracts for payment serve as a substitute for actual
money and make the flow of commerce move along at a faster rate.
There are certain requirements that must be met for an item to be qualified as a negotiable instrument.
First the instrument must be in writing. This writing must also meet the permanence and portability
requirements. The writing must be made on a permanent surface (not in the sand) and it must be
portable and able to be transferred. Negotiable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These types of endorsements are either blank or special, Unqualified or qualified, and nonrestrictive or
restrictive.
A blank endorsement does not specify a particular endorsee. It may consist of a mere signature. This
signature converts the order paper into bearer paper that can be redeemed by any one who has
possession of the check. A special endorsement contains the signature of the endorser along and
specifies to whom the instrument is payable.
Unqualified endorsement is a promise by the endorser to pay the holder or any subsequent endorser
the amount of the instrument if the maker drawer or accepter defaults on it. The order of the liability is
the order in which they indorse the instrument. In a qualified endorsement the endorser includes the
notation without recourse that disclaims the liability of the endorser against default of drawer, maker
or acceptor.
Most endorsements are nonrestrictive; they do not have any conditions attached to the payment of
funds. Occasionally an endorser includes some form of instruction in the endorsement. This is called a
restrictive endorsement. This may include an endorsements that are, conditional, for collection or
deposit, or in trust.
A person cannot be held contractually liable on a negotiable instrument unless his or her signature
appears on it.
One of the goals of article 3 of the UCC is to balance the rights of parties to negotiable instruments.

The Importance Of Lightweight Location Verification...
A ubiquitous motion tracking system using sensors in a personal health device, a ubiquitous motion

Federal Aviation Act Of 1938
Aviation has been in rapid growth since its beginning in the early 20th century. With that rapid growth
that created challenges. Who will regulate the airways? Should we have a certifying official? What
will the rules of flying be? With those questions in mind the government passed the Civil Aeronautics
Act of 1938. The Civil Aeronautics Act transferred federal responsibilities for non military aviation
from the Bureau of Air Commerce to a new, independent agency, the Civil Aeronautics Authority
(Civil Aeronautics Act of 1938, n.d.). In order to see how the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 came into
conception, it s important to look how the government got involved in Aviation in the first place and

The reorganization of how the government will create regulations for aviation has now come to its
final home, the future of United States day to day aeronautical operations is now the responsibility of
the FAA. The Federal Aviation Act of 1958 was a big step that the government took to getting to how
we know Aviation today. When you think of United States Aviation the FAA usually comes to mind,
and for good reason, the FAA has been a huge component in shaping new technologies and ways of
running the National Airspace System (NAS). All of these contributions to the advancement
aeronautics, through the FAA, could not have been possible if it weren t for the reconstruction of
government involvement in aviation. From the Air Commerce Act of 1926, to the Federal Aviation Act
of 1958, the government has had a significant influence on how we conduct day to day aeronautical
operations, ranging from reducing emissions, to improving navigational systems, and ATC

Nietzsche Research Paper
Short Paper 4 Friedrich Nietzsche
Son of a preacher, Friedrich Nietzsche was a deeply spiritual atheist who lived a cold life of continual
struggle. Nietzsche is known as the anti philosopher because he provoked controversy. He had an
enormous influence on twentieth century contemporary thought. He made a name for himself as
someone who is not scared to speak his mind, He introduced concepts such as The Will to Power,
Overman, Master Morality and Slave Morality. Which are thought provoking important concepts to
know.
Friedrich Nietzsche`s hard life and philosophy led him to concluded that life itself is an irrational, and
pointless existence. Nietzsche insisted that life is governed by the Will to Power , which he defined as

Nietzsche is saying that there are only 3 types of people and that they are clearly defined. I think that s
too raw; it s like saying that either you love America, or you hate it, a false dichotomy. In reality it`s
possible to hate one specific part, for example the fact that America does not use the metric system but
still love it as a whole. I also think that there are far more last mans in this world than overmen . A
good example of a last man is not hard to conceive. For example, a powerful billionaire that s
concerned with power and lives for comfort and pleasure. Although he can easily improve the world,
he chooses to use technological advancements only when it s in his benefit. He will strive to neglect
technology of knowledge that improves the lives of the world but negatively effects their wealth. An
overman is harder to come by, but maybe someday we will find

Essay about Amazon.Com and Mattel
Amazon.com, from a strategic approach, is dominating the world wide web. They have become the
world leader in online sales of books, music, videos, movies and other products and services. Amazon
knew that the Internet could be used as a distribution channel, thus reducing their supply chain
relations. By making these strategic advances, Amazon was able to achieve and sustain their
competitive advantage. After researching and reading the 2009 and 1997 Annual Reports, it was

Aaron Schwartz This essay is about the personality of the internet activism Aaron Schwartz. .People
could say that the perfect citizen does not exist, I actually do not know if that is true, but what I surely
know is that Aaron was perfect citizen for me: Everything in Aaron is special; the way he dresses, the
way he moves, the way he behaves, the way he speaks etc. Sometimes, I just think that it could be
great if he stayed alive, he would have done many things, if I could be a petit percent of what he is.
But let s start to describe the way that Arron looks like. At first sight, you could see that he doesn t
care about his clothes; however, when you will know him, you could notice that he dresses all kinds
different cheap informal clothes such as jeans and T shirts. His clothes fit well with the way he looks,
Arron is tall and thin, he always has a long hair, and he is black haired. In other words Arron

Deception In Much Ado About Nothing
William Shakespeare s comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, features a wide cast of characters and
follows a variety of plotlines that deal with love, loss, deception, and redemption. Within the scenes of
the play, the old adage you don t know what you have got until you lose it is clearly applicable,
especially in the case of Hero and Claudio s love story, but this sentiment could surely be changed to

The First Poem Thanatopsis By William Cullen Bryant
To him who in the love of nature holds / communication with her visible forms.... (Bryant 1 2). Nature
was thought to be the most beautiful thing in the world in the Romanticism Era. William Cullen
Bryant wrote many short stories, books and poems. He wrote some in his early childhood and some in
his later ages. His most famous poem, Thanatopsis , was written when he was only seventeen years
old. Because he was so young when he initially composed the work, it had to be edited many times
throughout his life. Bryant s first poem Thanatopsis , gave birth to American poetry; if not the best
known American poem of the romanticism era, it was one of the most influential and well known
poems of the time.
William Cullen Bryant was born on November 3, 1794, in a small town called Cummington,
Massachusetts. His Father, Dr. Peter Bryant, was a physician and a surgeon who moved to
Cummington only two years before the birth of William. His mother, Sarah Snell, was a daughter of
one of the first settlers. William later gives his mother credit for making a strong impression on his
value system (qtd. in Reuben). William was an abnormally brilliant child. When he was barely one

therefore, this not only changes the diction but also the imagery ( North American Review ). He also

Still Life With A Tornado Character Analysis
In, Still Life With A Tornado, by A.S. King, Sarah, a teenager who strives to be original, manifests
change throughout the story while portraying the theme, originality is inborn. Sarah is a teenage girl
who thinks she is unoriginal. She grew up with parents who hated each other and only stayed together
for her and her brother s sake. As their marriage evidently falls apart, Sarah has to go through the
situation with them, and try to keep herself together. Sarah, the protagonist, changes throughout the
story, as demonstrated by, bewilderness, tediousness, and acceptance.
In the beginning of the novel Sarah demonstrates characteristics of bewilderment. Sarah, a 16 year old
high school dropout, is rethinking her life as she says, Maybe my whole life I ve been living inside of
an imaginary painting (King, 54). Sarah is confused and feels that her childhood was a lie. The readers
realize along with her that her parents put on an act to protect her from the fact that they hate each
other. This communicates the sense of feeling trapped within lies thought to be true, and addresses the
message, the root of the problem is always bigger than what is expected. Similarly, Sarah, the
protagonist, asserts her latest assessment regarding herself and her mental state. She says, I am not
going crazy. I do not need a psychologist. I decide I am an artist inside of a tornado that will not let me
go (King, 128). Sarah decides she is in a mental state where she cannot portray her feelings. She uses
this excuse of being stuck in a tornado to reject the fact that eventually she will need to get her life
back on track and accept who she is. This is another one of Sarah s shenanigans to try to be original,
and by doing this she finding a reason to avert from being a normal person. People today encounter
the same situation in everyday life by using excuses to get around inevitable things. Sarah s
manifestation of change continues in the middle of the story.
As Sarah progresses, she shows traits of tediousness. While reflecting on her feelings about herself,
Sarah, the protagonist, says, I am an umbrella on a day with no rain (King, 9). An umbrella on a day
with no rain has no use, therefore the author is trying to show

My Love Of Science
I grew up in a rough home environment, where my escape was to invest as much time as I could in
learning. My favorite type of learning was chemistry at least that s what I learned that it was called it
as I got older. My grandfather owned a small pool and spa service company and I would always want
to go to jobs with him, this is where I learned about the basics of chemistry and biology. Each time I
went on the job with him I would receive a small amount of money at the end of the day, me being the
ambitious child that I was my eyes lit up, and the journey began. My grandfather is the biggest
sponsor to my literacy in chemistry and biology. Though he knew only a small amount of information
about both of the subjects, I thought that he was an all knowing mastermind. He taught me his ways,
simple water P.H and alkaline level tests and how to interpret the meaning of the results of the tests.
Then what is the best way to address the results with which specific chemicals. Although these events
are what started the snowball effect for my love of the sciences my grandfather was only the first
sponsor of my literacy in science. In primary education, I didn t get much influence with the literacy

The start of the coup would begin through a series of events highlighting Mossadegh negatively. The
first part of this would be to paint Mossadegh and his government as anti religious due to the ties

The Ancient Roman Empire
Rome, the first long and lasting empire that swept through other nations like wildfire. Rome broke the
barriers of politics and government. Rome also stood for something that citizens of today look at as
grotesque and savage. The fact that citizens would come together and cheer for another man while he
plunged his sword through his chest, with no understanding of life or family. The building that
represented this evil act is the Roman Coliseum. Although inside the coliseum death was glorified and
wished for the idea and meaning demonstrated politics and power. Rome was powerful in all meaning
of the power. Power is defined as the capability or the ability to direct or influence the behaviors of
others or the course of events. (sited by Dictornary.com). Rome certainly did this in a lot of ways.
Rome has both influenced culture and many other things. Rome itself stood over the world like a

emperor himself. One man that almost every dictator looks to as a shining example is Julius Caesar.

American literature which is new around this time in age. William Cline, the main character represents
your stereotype native American. This story takes place post 9/11; therefore, the level of security has
been increased greatly along with the amount of hostility towards darker skinned people. William
describes how he feels out of place because he has all the traits of a native American but he feels likes
he needs to try in order to keep up with his culture. He points out that his wife, Marie, is the one that
lives up to the title and has no cares in the world. Her culture comes natural to her and she is not self
conscious about her appearance unlike her husband. Their daughter Grace, has a little bit of both
parents. She has the carelessness of her mother and yet she strives to be like her dad as well. William s
family lives in Seattle and they are one of the first native American families to settle there; therefore,
racism is a very touchy subject. Racism is something that is surrounding William yet he frowns upon
it. This is very contradictory because, although he is so quick to clarify that he is Native American
brown, not dangerous brown. William is self conscious about himself and does not want his color to
define him, yet at the same time he claims he takes pride is his color. In flight patterns the story is told
in the narrator s point of view. This is important

The Story Of The Movie Lucy And I Were Up Front
Everything was going great on our way home our two week long mission. Lucy and I were up front,
talking side by side about the new addition of Sorcerer Magazine while Natsu and Gray walked
behind us. They were bickering once more about something that I didn t bother to pay any attention to.
And Happy was most likely walking besides them. Happy wasn t to happy with me at the moment, as
I had stepped on his tail by accident while trying to help out Natsu take down a monster. No matter
how many apologize nor the amount of fish offered would let the little guy glance in my direction. We
were only a few minutes from getting back to the guild. We re only a few moments away from getting
back to the guild after being away for a whole week and you haven t injured yourself. Lucy placed her
hand on my shoulder, congratulating me on the victory of my lack of clumsiness during our mission.
You somehow always manage to harm yourself. I guess you re right, I said sheepishly, running a hand
threw my knotted hair. Even if I tripped over myself I would somehow end up with a sprained ankle or
a conclusion. I ve had countless encounters of stumping down staircases, and knocking into chairs at
the guild. I guess you could say I lack a perfect balanced to even walk in a straight line. Lucy spoke
too soon. While we were heading down a flight of stairs Natsu and Gray s bickering turned into a full
on fight with pushing and shoving. To put the story short, Gray bonked

Schindler showered Nazi officers with bribes and lavish gifts in order to overcome bureaucracies
during wartime Germany. With time he became very wealthy during the peak of the world war.
In the mist of the persecution of the Jews, Schindler was moved with compassion to intervene. He
later convenience the Nazi party to build and enamel ware factor which will help fuel the war. He used
his political connections to employ Jews who would have otherwise been sent to concentration camps

Genting expects an even stronger growth for the oil and gas division in the future from increased oil
production in Muturi (Indonesia) and China.
WEAKNESS
Weak performance of property and manufacturing divisions
Despite an increase of 7.7% in fiscal year 2006, the property division s revenues have been volatile
over the recent years. For the period 2003 2006, the division s CAGR was 6%, the lowest among all
the company s business divisions. Despite a 6% increase in revenues, the manufacturing division s
profit before tax declined 44% in fiscal 2006 over the previous year. Weak performance of these
divisions would affect the overall growth of the company.
Weak returns
Genting has recorded weak returns in the last few years. Its return on investments and return on equity
for trailing twelve months (TTM) December 2006 were 10.2% and 13.5%, respectively, lower than the
industry averages of 10.5% and 16.8% for the same period. Weak returns reflect the inability of the
management to deploy assets in profitable avenues, and this could result in decreasing investor
confidence.
OPPORTUNITIES
Growing wealth of Asian population
Strong economic growth is expected to improve the spending habits of leisure travellers in the Asian
region. A number of Asian countries are expected to record a significant CAGR in GDP per capita in

Choolesterol Error
Error in the metabolism of an individual is another major risk factor of atherosclerosis and it involves
the abnormal change of lipoproteins and changes in its functional roles (McCrindle, 2007).
The first main type of cholesterol is the low density lipoprotein (LDL) and it referred to as the bad
cholesterol because it attaches to the atherosclerotic lesions on the endothelium of the arterial wall
(Schaefer, 2010). The other type of cholesterol is the high density lipoproteins (HDL), it acts as a
scavenger and it is referred to as the good cholesterol, because it removes the cholesterol from the
arterial wall (Schaefer, 2010).

  • 2. The Battle Of Chancellorsville Campaign During the American Civil War, the United States was plagued with conflict, struggle, and copious amounts of spilled blood. Furthermore, countless battles were fought to decide the fate of slavery and the Union as a whole. However, one of these battles in particular, the Chancellorsville Campaign, should definitely be one of interest. Taking place after the horror of Fredericksburg, an event in which the Union Army of the Potomac failed to take the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1862 (Bowery and Doss 27), the Chancellorsville campaign lasted from May 1 to May 5, 1863. It was an attempt by the Union to destroy the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia that resulted in disaster for both sides. ( Battle of Chancellorsville, Brittanica) As a matter of fact, the Chancellorsville Campaign was such a significant development in the course of the Civil War that many happenings in this battle have affected both the rest of this era and the years beyond. To begin with, there were three men who played major roles in this battle, with the first being Robert Edward Lee, a Confederate general. Born on January 19, 1807, Lee was the commander of the Army of Northern Virginia, the most capable army in the South. ( Robert E. Lee, Brittanica) By Lee s side was another Confederate general known as Thomas Stonewall Jackson. Indeed, Jackson was among the Civil War s most skilled tacticians, earning the moniker Stonewall after his success at the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Dust Bowl Criticism The printed work of the Dust Bowl written by Donald Worster tells of the devastating man made events that occurred between 1929 and 1939. Worster described this time in history as the darkest moment life in the southern plains encountered in the twentieth century (4) which was a time where drought, poverty, and famine were of concern. Worster also ties the Great Depression with the Dust Bowl and said that the same society produced them both because of the weakness of America (5). He strongly believes that the Dust Bowl was not a disaster created by nature, but a crisis created by man due to capitalism. Dust Bowl gives a powerful stance on how man ignored the limits of the land which led them into the dirty thirties; however, his beliefs cause him to disregard the disaster as the fault of nature, and specifically blamed man. Large numbers of people migrated to the grasslands and plowed the areas to farm. Over time, the soil wore out and the cycle of rain stopped, causing the soil to blow away. The natural way that wildlife lived was disrupted by civilization, and since nature was damaged, the mutual cooperation between humans, land, animals, and soil failed. Man wanted to proceed forward, but their desire for wealth caused them a Great Depression, and a horrendous storm that wiped away their land. The expansion to the frontier and the wearing of the soil was not to make a living, but to bring more money to the people even though the soil was not capable of growing a sizable amount of crops. The point that Worster clearly makes throughout his book was that capitalism caused the problem. He believed the two linked disasters, The Dust Bowl and The Great Depression were entirely man made because of flaws in American society. Worster could not define capitalism with one simple meaning, but says that man viewed the land as a business. They worked the land until they could not work it anymore, and even then, they continued to plow the fields trying to get every last grain that would provide them with more money. Worster wrote that man had a right to use the land because the highest economic rewards go to those who have done the most to extract nature from all it can yield (Worster 6). Therefore, the land was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Throughout the Victorian Era using Mascara became fashionable, and in 1916 false eyelashes were developed. A current improvement in the actual enhancement of the woman s eyelashes is the invention of eyelash extension. What s The Difference Between False Eyelashes And Eyelash Extensions? A false eyelash is a reproduction of a complete eyelash on a base that is glued to the eye lid around the bottom of the eyelashes. They can easily be removed and are only a short term enhancement to improve the appearance of eyelashes. • 5. Washing A Car Soap Of Your Choice People usually think that washing a car is something that they have to do, and think that it s a painstaking process that takes forever. They could also pay to wash it, but why would you do that when you could pressure wash it and make the process much easier? If you do not have one, either find a neighbor or friend who does or make a wise investment of actually buying a decent one that has options for different pressures and to shoot out soap as well. Other things you will need is a car soap of your choice (warning: dish soap is not recommended). You will need to put your vehicle close to a hose, tire cleaner, a washing and drying machine, a window cleaner like invisible glass®, an industrial vacuum, a soft brush, and carpet cleaning product, microfiber clothes, and newspaper. Depending on what the interior is made out of, you will have to get special products if its leather or suede etc. and lastly you will need a detailer for the plastic on the interior, Any brand will do, but Maguire s is recommended. I would start by cleaning the interior, but you can start on the exterior if preferred. First, take everything out that is not part of the car like trash and personal things like books and clothes. Then take out all of the removable carpets that are in the car, and briefly clean them to where there is no visible dirt and trash on it. Then you would make time to dedicate a washing machine to just the carpet since that this is the best way that I have come up with to wash ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Batalova, 2013) Foreign born individuals will face a major cultural impact if the official changing the language to English happens. It take some time to affect the entirety of the United States, but the majority of the success of that change will come from the border states: California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and Florida. State agencies will need the support of the Federal government in order to facilitate changes in such a way that non English speaking immigrants do not overcome those agencies in the supply/demand of needs. State agencies will also face scrutiny in the successful crossover of languages, by pushing the issue within their own major avenues; education, healthcare, and human services. This topic is important because it impacts everyone whether they are seeking medical attention or the person providing it. It also affects the cost of health care and people s access to it. The most popular of which are deer hunting, squirrel hunting, turkey hunting, elk/moose hunting, and big game hunting. Big game hunting is most often hunting done in other countries. However, the real reasons each colony was founded differed. Jamestown was founded by the Virginia Company of London, while the Massachusetts Bay Colony was founded by the Massachusetts Bay Company. Both colonies ran into similar difficulties after establishment. In the end, both were able to find a way to prosper. The charters for both colonies stated they wanted to find silver and gold. In reality, the settlers did want to find riches, but also had other motives. Jamestown was the first permanent English settlement in North America and was founded in 1607. If there is a person that is democrat, but brings to the table more ideas that I agree with then I am more likely to vote for them. Walter Benjamin, an affiliate of the Frankfurt School took a positive stand to the spurting of mass media in the US, treating it as an organ of social progress. In his essay entitled The Artist as Producer (1999 [1934]) Benjamin argued that progressive cultural creators should refunction the apparatus of cultural production, turning theatre and film, for instance, into a forum of political enlightenment of progressive social change. Benjamin recognised that media could have conservative effects and films could create a new kind of ideological magic through the cult of celebrity and techniques like the close up that fetishized certain star or images via the technology of cinema. Nature was thought to be the most beautiful thing in the world in the Romanticism Era. William Cullen Bryant wrote many short stories, books and poems. He wrote some in his early childhood and some in his later ages. His most famous poem, Thanatopsis , was written when he was only seventeen years old. Because he was so young when he initially composed the work, it had to be edited many times throughout his life. Bryant s first poem Thanatopsis , gave birth to American poetry; if not the best known American poem of the romanticism era, it was one of the most influential and well known poems of the time. William Cullen Bryant was born on November 3, 1794, in a small town called Cummington, Massachusetts. His Father, Dr. Peter Bryant, was a physician and a surgeon who moved to Cummington only two years before the birth of William. His mother, Sarah Snell, was a daughter of one of the first settlers. • 30. Still Life With A Tornado Character Analysis In, Still Life With A Tornado, by A.S. King, Sarah, a teenager who strives to be original, manifests change throughout the story while portraying the theme, originality is inborn. Sarah is a teenage girl who thinks she is unoriginal. She grew up with parents who hated each other and only stayed together for her and her brother s sake. As their marriage evidently falls apart, Sarah has to go through the situation with them, and try to keep herself together. Sarah, the protagonist, changes throughout the story, as demonstrated by, bewilderness, tediousness, and acceptance. In the beginning of the novel Sarah demonstrates characteristics of bewilderment. Sarah, a 16 year old high school dropout, is rethinking her life as she says, Maybe my whole life I ve been living inside of an imaginary painting (King, 54). Sarah is confused and feels that her childhood was a lie. The readers realize along with her that her parents put on an act to protect her from the fact that they hate each other. This communicates the sense of feeling trapped within lies thought to be true, and addresses the message, the root of the problem is always bigger than what is expected. Similarly, Sarah, the protagonist, asserts her latest assessment regarding herself and her mental state. She says, I am not going crazy. I do not need a psychologist. I decide I am an artist inside of a tornado that will not let me go (King, 128). Sarah decides she is in a mental state where she cannot portray her feelings. She uses this excuse of being stuck in a tornado to reject the fact that eventually she will need to get her life back on track and accept who she is. This is another one of Sarah s shenanigans to try to be original, and by doing this she finding a reason to avert from being a normal person. People today encounter the same situation in everyday life by using excuses to get around inevitable things. Sarah s manifestation of change continues in the middle of the story. As Sarah progresses, she shows traits of tediousness. While reflecting on her feelings about herself, Sarah, the protagonist, says, I am an umbrella on a day with no rain (King, 9).
