WikiEducator is an organization that aims to develop free educational content and resources to support national curriculums worldwide using open networks and free content. It was founded in 2006 and hopes to have a free curriculum available for all sectors by 2015. WikiEducator works collaboratively with educators globally and has trained over 2,500 teachers and educators, producing 2,500 lessons of free content for Commonwealth countries. The organization believes that embracing technological innovation and collaborative authoring tools can help turn the promise of open educational resources into today's reality.
