Columbia Southern University provides faculty members a variety
of software applications to assist in course facilitation. To maximize
technological access, each of the primary applications faculty
members use to teach, communicate, submit documents, and
initiate institutional processes can be accessed from a standard
internet browser.

3. Blackboard
Blackboard is a virtual learning environment and course
management system developed by Blackboard Inc. It is Web-based
server software which features course management, customizable
open architecture, and scalable design that allows integration with
student information systems and authentication protocols. Its
main purposes are to add online elements to courses traditionally
delivered face-to-face and to develop completely online courses
with few or no face-to-face meetings.

5. Outlook Web App
Outlook Web App is the email client Columbia Southern University
maintains for faculty members. It is a requirement for instructors
to use this email account for all CSU-related email
communications. The only exception to this rule is if faculty
members find themselves unable to access their email. If this
occurs, the only option will be to use an alternative email while
communicating with a Faculty Support Specialist until email access
has been restored.

8. Faculty Portal
The myCSU Faculty Portal is a website maintained by Columbia
Southern University to assist faculty. It houses faculty resources,
course and student listings, due assignments, upcoming scheduled
courses, pay information, and notifications. The Faculty Portal is
also where faculty members submit Academic Integrity Violations
(AIVs) if and when they occur.

10. Adobe Connect
Adobe Connect is an online meeting platform that allows for
hundreds of people from around the world to meet synchronously.
CSU utilizes Adobe Connect extensively, and it is the platform
where required faculty meetings and trainings often take place.
