2. CSU Website
The CSU website can be located by navigating to
http://www.columbiasouthern.edu/. The website contains a host
of features and information regarding CSU events, articles and
communications, degree programs, student support and contact
information, and much more. Please click the link above and
peruse the website if you have not done so already.
3. iConnect
iConnect is CSU's local intranet. It holds information regarding
CSU's various departments, messages from the president, CSU
news, and even its own and active "Craig's List-like" Broadcast. To
access iConnect, click here:
https://iconnect.columbiasouthern.edu/
Please enter your Blackboard login credentials if prompted to sign
in and quickly peruse iConnect to see what it has to offer.
4. Student Portal
The Student Portal is very similar to the Faculty Portal that we
reviewed earlier in this unit. Unfortunately, as a faculty member,
you will be unable to view it easily. However, in case it is ever
referenced by a student or staff member, please note that the
Student Portal looks nearly identical to the Faculty Portal except
that some of the widgets are geared toward student information.
If students relay issues regarding the Student Portal to you directly,
please direct them to their Student Support Specialist for
assistance.
5. Omega
Omega is CSU's in-house software database. Omega houses
student, faculty, course, and employee records and automates a
wide-variety of processes the help keep the University efficient
and flexible. Omega also has robust reporting tools that allow CSU
to measure its effectiveness and leverage priorities in the right
direction. In short, Omega is something you will see very little of,
but something you will experience the effects of on a daily basis.
