ABSTARCT : Convenience is one aspect that should be considered in an online learning environment. Without convenience it is very impossible to implement successfully online learning particularly in higher learning institution. The purpose of this study was to explore the online learning conveniences from students’ perception. A cohort of 61 science physics students from School of Science and Technology (SST) and 41 pre-service science teachers from the School of Education and Social Development (SESD) of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia comprised the sample. The course involved is Modern Physics which is compulsory. Both groups were supported via an online learning environment, which acted as the main medium for learning. Participants’ perception on conveniences was recorded through an open-ended questionnaire and focus group interview. The output of these qualitative data can be categorised into several themes, as in general they felt that learning through online is really convenient and ease; and they were also using online to search for information. Somehow there were also negative feedback where they felt not satisfied with the Internet coverage. In additional the SESD’s student stressed that their communication skills were enhanced.

For distance learners, continuous official education is very important for improving knowledge and learning experience to meet the career challenges in the modern world. This work studies the success factors which affect the use of LMS and evaluates the ability to apply the proposed model in the field of distance learning (DL) particularly in higher education. The survey was carried out on higher education learners who were included in the DL instructions. This work has utilized a questionnaire that was modified from literature to inspect three measurements, system design, system usage, and system outcome. Utilizing the obtained survey data for students of DL (N=149), the path analysis discovered that the design of the system has a significant effect on the satisfaction of users and intention for using LMS which affects the use of the system. Consequently, the satisfaction of users and the system used has a great impact on the net benefit.

Predicting student performance in higher education using multi-regression modelsTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Supporting the goal of higher education to produce graduation who will be a professional leader is a crucial. Most of universities implement intelligent information system (IIS) to support in achieving their vision and mission. One of the features of IIS is student performance prediction. By implementing data mining model in IIS, this feature could precisely predict the student’ grade for their enrolled subjects. Moreover, it can recognize at-risk students and allow top educational management to take educative interventions in order to succeed academically. In this research, multi-regression model was proposed to build model for every student. In our model, learning management system (LMS) activity logs were computed. Based on the testing result on big students datasets, courses, and activities indicates that these models could improve the accuracy of prediction model by over 15%.
Perception of Service Quality in Higher Education: The Untold Stories of Iran...Parisa Mehran
Service quality in higher education is of paramount importance worldwide. However, this issue has not been adequately addressed within the Iranian academia. Considering PhD programs, service quality is of enormous significance since candidates get prepared for their future careers as prospective faculty members. The current study thus seeks to explore the perceptions and expectations of Iranian academics on the quality of both academic and non-academic services they receive and the challenges they face. A number of Iranian TEFL-major professors and PhD students/candidates participated in this study. The SERVQUAL questionnaire, a validated and reliable instrument, was initially employed to quantitatively measure the five service quality dimensions (i.e., tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy). Following that, in-depth interviews were conducted to qualitatively uncover the hidden stories behind the perceptions and expectations of the participants. The participants generally perceived the service quality of their higher education institutions to be unsatisfactory and far from their expectations. They were confronted with a set of challenges which can be categorized as the following: educational, bureaucratic, economic, and socio-cultural. Finally, some solutions were suggested to alleviate the obstacles standing in the way of Iranian academics.

By The People For The People: People’s Influence On Students In Selecting Tec...Prashant Mahajan
The marketing segmentation of technical education will be better if we consider these reference groups (people mix) as an influencer. It is found that there are some People Mix - influencers - related to the institute and previous schools along with peoples associated with the students. So, it is useful to consider all these influencers rather than considering only traditional students related influencers. This article provides empirical support for the importance of interpersonal influence for educational choices. Different communication strategies can be used for these influencers who motivates students towards their decision in selecting technical education. The paper represents new form of influencers that motivates students in selecting their technical educational institute.

The main purpose of this research was to study the relationship of the teachers’ perception
towards their organizational culture and their level of job satisfaction at Kantana Institute in Thailand
during the academic year 2021-2022. A total of one hundred and twenty-three (123) from the English
department under International Education at Kantana Institute were surveyed for this study. The main resource of data was the questionnaire that investigated the teacher’s perception towards
organizational culture and their job satisfaction at Kantana Institute. The collected data were analyzed
by using the mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The
research findings indicated that the level of organizational culture was high in the school and from the
results of the teachers’ job satisfaction. The correlation analysis result showed there was a strong
positive relationship between teachers’ perception towards organizational culture and their level of
job satisfaction. The recommendations based on the results showed 1) Teachers constantly improve
their adaptability, increase their sense of responsibility as teachers, and actively communicate with
administrators to reflect their views on the surrounding environment, 2) Future researchers should
extend their studies to public and private higher education institutions to better assess lecturers’ job
satisfaction and organizational culture, and 3) Managers' perceptions of organizational culture and job satisfaction also need to be considered. In order to have a deeper understanding and be more accurate, descriptive explanatory exploratory research, qualitative, qualitative, and quantitative research
methods should all be considered.

A Study of Anxiety in Relation to Academic Achievement among Higher Secondary...ijtsrd
Our education mainly stresses to develop cognitive aspect which deals with knowledge and to some extent develop cognitive aspect which deals with motor skills. The affective aspect which deals with emotions, feelings and sentiments of the child is totally neglected by our Education. For developing the child emotionally and socially mature, only formal education is not enough but informal education which the child gets from his family and society is also needed. In the past years, there has been extensive research on various approaches of teaching in secondary education. But no one method or approach has been found consistently superior to all. It reveals the fact that no single approach can be best suited to all the students. The most important question is to determine which students achieve more and under what conditions and also the factors which affect the achievement. An emerging area of research that holds promise in helping us to answer these questions is student's level of general mental ability in anxiety and emotional adjustment. Researchers and educationists are now attempting a thorough work in the area of general anxiety and emotional adjustment and found it a very potential one in influencing the student's academic achievement. Although the lungs are one of the most vital organs in the body, they are vulnerable to infection and injury. COVID-19 has put the entire world in an unprecedented difficult situation, bringing life to a halt and claiming thousands of lives all across the world. Medical imaging, such as X-rays and computed tomography (CT), is essential in the global fight against COVID-19, and newly emerging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are boosting the power of imaging tools and assisting medical specialists. AI can improve job efficiency by precisely identifying infections in X-ray and CT images and allowing further measurement. We focus on the integration of AI with X-ray and CT, both of which are routinely used in frontline hospitals, to reflect the most recent progress in medical imaging and radiology combating COVID-19.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. Institutional Ranking
Ranking the Institutions is to measure their performances and
growth with respect to certain standards. When it comes to se-
lecting the institution, most of the students who are looking for
higher education consider ranking as the most important pa-
rameter before selecting a particular institute.
Ranking Agencies
Globally there were many agencies the most popular are:
Times Higher Education World University Rankings:
Rankings look at things like how many research papers are
published, how many Nobel laureates are on the faculty,
how many PhDs are granted and whatever else.
The Centre for World University Rankings
(CWUR) is a global university ranking that
measures the quality of education and training
of students, as well as the prestige of the faculty
members and the quality of their research.
National Institutional Ranking Framework
(NIRF): The govt. of India felt a need to start its own ranking
system since our institutions were poorly represented. The
Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry launched
the NIRF in 2015. The framework outlined a methodology to
rank institutions across the country and promised annual
rankings for colleges and universities.
The Process
Every agency have their own unique metrics, these rankings
employ many performance indicators covering the full range of
a university's core activities: teaching, research, knowledge
transfer and international outlook. The selected Educational
Institutions were asked to submit the data/ reports on which
they will ranked.
For Example: In World university ranking, they give 50%
weightage to (academic and employer reputation) thus this
ranking is too much based on user experience. The surveys
which they conduct are primarily based on western sample
space.
The Reliability
Once the data was submitted by the institutes, most of these
agencies didn't even bothered to cross check the data/ reports
submitted. In fact, At times these agencies make it clear, on its
website itself, that the responsibility for accuracy and authentic-
ity of the data lies with the respective institutions.
Their approach was very unprofessional with almost zero/
no fair chance for many institutions.
Not all institution was considered for the rankings, thus
making it monopoly of few.
No cross verification of reports/ data submitted by insti-
tutes.
Claims of Institutions were not cross examined. In order to
gain more govt funds there is a possibility that many institu-
tions could do a lot of number jugglery
Thus, credibility of these rankings is highly doubtful.
The Reality
Case 1: Few Private institutions are placed at 2nd, 3rd and 5th
positions for placements, above IITs. Interestingly, nine of the
top 20 IIT's for placement parameter don’t fall in the overall top
100 list of engineering institutions.
Case 2: One Institution in North India ranked among first 20
initiations in India in one of the agencies report.. but the
review of that college in a public domain was so bad... the
students and parents of that institution were given negative
remarks of all those parameters for what they are been
claimed good in the report.
Case 3: There were few 3 tier engineering colleges in the list,
neither have permanent teaching faculty nor good place-
ment records, in spite they are in top 100 ranks.
Case 4: A institute in North East, it is founded in 2010, No
permanent campus, It has <50% placement that too in Tier
2/3 companies, No Permanent faculty, No in-
frastructure, No proper Connectivity and it has
been placed about many premier intuition in
the country.
These rankings tell you almost nothing about
the undergraduate experience. That’s because
learning and teaching quality are way harder to
measure (eg, are students doing well because
the Institution has a good reputation, so is able to choose
high-IQ, high-achieving applicants, or because of what the
Institution actually offers).
Choose what is right for you
Do you think any university ranking agencies can know
thousands of universities? Of course not. The simple truth is
that there is no such thing as a definitive table. But in fact
the wildly differing outcomes of these tables make them
more, not less, useful. The key is in knowing how to inter-
pret them. If a student or a parent wants to know how good
a university is, before applying to any institution just check
the ranking for the past 3 years. If the ranks are stable then
talk to the alumni and check about the placements and fee
hike etc.
Find an Institution that’s right for the student. Talk to peo-
ple going there, and recent graduates. Particularly in the
discipline the student wants to study. For example, say one
wanted to study International Economics. Would it matter
to him if the Institution had won project grant for Artificial
Intelligence? Or the Automobile Department have signed a
MoU with a German Company. Doing well at a lower tier
Institute seems to be better than being mediocre at a top
Institute.
The Conclusion
In fact our Indian rankings are not false, but they don't show
the actual scene, because it's under a development phase,
even the popular global ranking agencies at their earlier
phase had also faced a similar situation but later they stan-
dardized every metric and expanded globally. But, today
these parameters focuses heavily on things like how many
journal papers the university produces, how many PhDs are
awarded, and even how many Nobel laureates are on staff.
Though the rankings are purely objectivity based, it can be
biased since the responsibility of cross checking the data lies
on the institution rather than the government. We seriously
need to have much more realistic approach in a more struc-
tured & organized manner. These sorts of inaccurate & un-
reliable rankings can be misleading at times. What is impor-
tant is that there should a complete list of universities and
the rating should be done by the users and the community.
