Curriculum is the heart of education that is considered important and should be
considered by all parties related to education itself. Curriculum is flexible and must be
developed to achieve the quality of graduates, let alone the quality of graduates in
college. Higher education is seen as the highest institution and must print graduates as
agent of change. Therefore, students must be equipped with life skills by integrating in
learning activities so that it can be applied in the real world and everyday life. Although
up to now all universities have developed curriculum with ideal, but in reality in the
implementation level is not in accordance with what is written on the curriculum. This
means there is a gap between idea and reality. Curriculum development should pay
attention to various aspects of its development, such as its own curriculum, actors who
play a role in curriculum development and the approach used for curriculum
development. Thus, we must remain optimistic to innovate in developing the curriculum
as a future curriculum in Higher Education.

A study on “impact of artificial intelligence in covid19 diagnosis”Dr. C.V. Suresh Babu
Although the lungs are one of the most vital organs in the body, they are vulnerable to infection and injury. COVID-19 has put the entire world in an unprecedented difficult situation, bringing life to a halt and claiming thousands of lives all across the world. Medical imaging, such as X-rays and computed tomography (CT), is essential in the global fight against COVID-19, and newly emerging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are boosting the power of imaging tools and assisting medical specialists. AI can improve job efficiency by precisely identifying infections in X-ray and CT images and allowing further measurement. We focus on the integration of AI with X-ray and CT, both of which are routinely used in frontline hospitals, to reflect the most recent progress in medical imaging and radiology combating COVID-19.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Good News
about faculties
are rare these days, and
every achievement of it should be
cherished and recorded.. hence
we came with our 11th issue…I
can do anything as long as I have
the passion, the drive, the focus,
and of course with your support.
Today the major issue in faculties
of self-financing institutions, are
no compensation; they are much
cheaper than any other profes-
sionals. The article, you read here
is all ours…, and Campus connect
sections continuously proves..
“the roots of true achievement lie
in the team and attitude of facul-
ties…” and becoming more color
full month after month. The pur-
pose of a vacation is to have the
time to rest. But many of our fac-
ulties, even when they have vaca-
tion, they have called for admis-
sion duties…many of them may
even come back more tired than
before they left. The 2018-19 aca-
demic year stands before us, like
a chapter in a book, waiting to be
written. We can help write that
story by setting goals.

Pay (without) Scale
There Pay hardly have any scale, and
there is no fair increment for teachers in
self-financing colleges or for those in gov-
ernment and aided colleges handling self-
financing courses, so the attrition of teach-
ers in self-financing colleges has risen to
the level of 30 to 40 per cent in institutions
that usually pay the teachers in the range
of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. It is
a harsh reality that the most important
and respectable teaching profession which
deserve high salaries might be compen-
sated with low salaries. A teacher is sure
to be working sincerely and selflessly for
the good of the students, there is only
little monetary reward guaranteed.
Hiring and Firing
Many faculties mistakenly believe
that appointment is a guar-
antee of a job for life.
The simple truth is
that appointment
order only means
that a faculty gains
permanent employ-
ment status after suc-
cessfully completing a
probationary period but
no one knows how long is
the probationary period in a self
financing institution, there are faculties
who been fired by autocratic administra-
tors for speaking up, questioning educa-
tional practices, or merely of internal poli-
tics.
Recruitment processes
Today’s faculty recruitment norms made
our teachers from a knowledge accumula-
tor to a gatherer of pieces of paper such as:
Degrees, Certificates, Journal papers, letter
heads showing experience, etc. As usual,
this summer, almost every other arts and
science college have given advertisements
for faculty requirement, and the inter-
views are the competition won by those
who are accepting the least salary over
those who are qualified the most.
“It is not that the
self-financing
colleges cannot
pay decent salary
for the teachers,
but, they are not
prepared to
compromise on
the return on
investment”
Institutions should realize “Providing an opportunity to
a deserved teacher is the best form of social service, as it
serves the Institutions, Students, country, and our world
- the entire society”. It’s unfair to see institutions spend
lavishly for advertisement and marketing while they fix
the salaries of their teachers very low, but the most pa-
thetic scenario is, a 10th passed security or a school
dropout canteen helper in the same premises at times
earn as equal as or more than an M.Sc, M.Phil.
Institutional Dynamics
It is not that the self-financing colleges cannot pay de-
cent salary for the teachers, but, they are not prepared to
compromise on the return on investment. Today, only
few self-financing colleges pay incentives such as cash
bonuses, salary increases, or additional salary to reward
excellent teaching, which makes them free to eat what-
ever, wherever, however, because of their professional
pressure, they are not free to eat whenever…but still,
majority of self-financing colleges have bad HR prac-
tices. A salary does not make a Teacher rich, but only
gives them the opportunity to take care of their basic
needs. It is not a means of becoming wealthy. It is a
means of Survival. The static salaries force many men
faculties to move out in search for other alternatives and
female faculties force to sacrifice their teaching dream
for their personal and family commitments.
Responsibilities
We've often heard people say, "If I can't become any-
thing else, I'll become a teacher." Many think that teach-
ing is the simplest and the easiest job. But here are few
other duties other than class room teachings which
are: Admission Duty, Attendance record, Result
Analysis, Official work, Administrative work,
Social work, Aptitude tests, Group discus-
sions, Entrepreneurship cell, Revaluation,
Practical exams, Newsletters, IQAC, IIPC,
Placements, College Magazine, R & D cell,
NSS activities, NBA, NAAC, Autonomous,
UGC/AICTE, University Affiliation work, Intra
college events, Seminars, Presentations, Confer-
ences, Symposium, On Duty, Class committee,
Workshops, FDP, Exam duty, Govt exam duty, Floor
duty, Admission Round duty, Assignments, Term work,
Invigilation, Paper Checking, Paper setting, Counseling,
Remedial classes, Industrial visits, Planners, Discipline,
Website, Hospitality, Exhibitions, Student Clubs, Pam-
phlet design, Banner design, Guest lectures, Annual
sports, College day, etc.. With extracurricular activities,
institutions make their faculties for overtime.
Finally….
Beyond all these difficulties.. our happiness continues
when we see our students Growing, Succeeding and
boldly facing the World and its Challenges. It doesn't
matter how they look at us, It doesn't matter How much
more they Earn than we do. It doesn't matter that they
drive while we walk. On Salary days I do think about
those no-bills paid, somehow postponing my basic
needs, but by the next day I love to come with a Smile to
those that I Teach..... Because I am a Teacher....
“A salary does
not make a
Teacher rich,
but only gives
them the
opportunity to
take care of
their basic
needs”

This book provides an excellent platform and fundamental understanding on how
circuits interact within the system. The book insist on the fundamental concepts of
Digital Logic as, it is only the hardware that provides the platform for software
applications. I like this book very much because it has versatile features which
will help the students to understand in depth on the subject. The arrangement of
topics maintains our level of interest throughout the book. Unique picture repre-
sentations are used to explain the content. It is more user friendly from the begin-
ning until the end of the book. Topics such as Test yourself, Just B4 Exams, Further
Reading which was given at the end of each chapter are student centered. The practi-
cal programs along with the description and neat diagram will help the students to
understand lab exercises. It also consists of university QP’s which will help the stu-
dents to prepare for their exams with exam point of view.
