COVERT NETWORKS
DEFINITION
Covert Networks are the networks which are
hidden. The users who are participating in the
network does not disclose their information to
the external world.
CHARACTERISTICS OF COVERT
NETWORKS
A covert channel is so called because it is hidden
from the access control mechanisms (typically,
read and write), and therefore cannot be
detected or controlled by the security
mechanisms that underlie secure operating
systems.
CHARACTERISTICS OF COVERT
NETWORKS
Covert channels are distinct from, legitimate
channel exploitations that attack low-
assurance pseudo-secure systems using
schemes such as steganography.
Steganography is the practice of concealing a
file, message, image, or video within another
file, message, image, or video.
CHARACTERISTICS OF COVERT
NETWORKS
BCC – BLIND CARBON COPY
It means of sending out a message to a large
group without displaying the email addresses
of all.
