Cosmological Argument Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of the Cosmological Argument presents a formidable intellectual
challenge. This philosophical argument delves into complex concepts related to the existence and
nature of the universe, pushing the boundaries of one's understanding of metaphysics, theology,
and epistemology. The task involves navigating through intricate layers of reasoning, engaging
with the ideas of influential philosophers such as Aquinas, Leibniz, and others who have
contributed to the discourse.
The difficulty lies not only in comprehending the nuanced arguments but also in articulating
them coherently within the confines of an essay. The writer must grapple with abstract notions
like causation, contingency, and necessity, and present a logical progression of ideas that
convincingly supports or critiques the Cosmological Argument. Additionally, synthesizing
diverse perspectives and addressing potential counterarguments adds another layer of complexity
to the task.
Moreover, the profundity of the topic requires a keen awareness of the historical and cultural
context in which these arguments arose. This demands extensive research to contextualize the
philosophical developments and to present a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of
cosmological thought.
To tackle such a challenging essay, one must possess a strong foundation in philosophical
principles, critical thinking skills, and the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and
concise manner. The process involves deep intellectual engagement, careful analysis, and a
willingness to grapple with abstract and sometimes elusive concepts.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the Cosmological Argument is no small feat. It requires a
combination of intellectual rigor, philosophical acumen, and effective communication skills. The
endeavor demands dedication, time, and a genuine passion for exploring the fundamental
questions about the nature of our existence.

Product Analysis Of AFS Fuels
The company I ve selected for this article is AFS Fuels from Britain. My original
thought was Raytheon Industries however after further research I found it more
difficult to find a specific product and enough information to utilize it for the
purposes of this paper. In addition, I found this company far more interesting as
they are attempting to create a product that I believe in and feel may help to solve
a world crisis that I find very real and urgent. AFS differs extremely from every
other firm in the industry. This is not to say they do not have highly competitive
competition. This topic will be discussed later in the article. The sole and primary
product that they are bringing to market is the creation of fuel from air and water to...

The carbon dioxide in the air reacts with some of the sodium hydroxide to form
sodium carbonate. This sodium carbonate is then electrolysed to release the
carbon dioxide, which is collected and stored. A dehumidifier condenses water out
of the same air passed into the tower, with this condensed water then passed into an
electrolyser where it is split into hydrogen and oxygen. The carbon dioxide and
hydrogren are reacted together to make a hydrocarbon mixture, with reaction
conditions varied depending on the kind of fuel required. The product can then be
mixed with the same additives used in current fuels to ease starting, burn cleanly
and avoid corrosion problems. Otherwise it can be blended directly with gasoline,
diesel and aviation fuel. (Gayle, 2012). A small facility for testing needs to be
established in place currently is ideal for the R D portion followed by a larger
manufacturing plant that can distribute to regional facilities that can deliver to
consumers for product launch. The delivery can either be handed by external
stakeholders or the company directly. The suggested method would be external rather
than internal due in part to adding a client base from the partner for deliveries. After
such time, the firm can begin to outsource to other fuel manufacturers after a foothold
on the market has been gained. This can be done by way of patents and offering
similar plans to the market with
The Role Of Guilt In Criminal Law
Chapter 2 explains in detail the factors that could lead a person to do one of the
most unbelievable things a person could do: to admit guilt for a crime that he/she
did not commit, known as a false confession. Police officers are trained to make
criminals confess, however, the techniques used by them, such as bluff, excessively
long interrogatories, the Reid technique, and the use of false incriminating evidence
could make anyone confess, even innocent people. As incredible as this sounds, this
is an ongoing issue in the history of criminal law. People who are more at risk to
break under this kind of pressure are young, mentally or intellectually impaired, or
possess personality traits such as compliance and suggestibility (Perillo, J. T.,
Essay On Fibroids In African American Women
On the case of vitamin D, women of African American origin tend to be deficient of
this vitamin. According to Donna Day Baird Eds (2017), a research conducted on
women aged between 35 49 showed that women of the African American origin had a
higher percent of women with vitamin D deficiency (90%). The National Institute of
Environmental Health Sciences Uterine Fibroid Study carried out the study.
The living conditions of most African Americanwomen are not inviting. Most studies
conducted on fibroids involved women of white and black races with the same
educational level, same number of children and same health status. However, African
American women tend to live single and in poor geographic conditions. Social

It has been observed that African American women tend to procrastinate visiting a
gynecologist for fibroids checkup. It is estimated that 32% of women of this race
tend to wait about five years to seek medical attention in comparison to 17% of the
white women (HealthDay, n.d.). A theory behind waiting is due to the
normalization of systems. For example according to Dr. Newsome, having fibroids
is almost considered normal among AA women. AA Women develop fibroids at a
younger age and have more symptoms and therefore it is difficult to know what is
unacceptable or not when your a black girl who s has a 10 day period like your
mom, aunts and cousins.
These methods, though very crucial and very expensive, require a professional
gynecologist who can perform a thorough pelvic exam. The most common method of
diagnosis is the ultrasound. This is a method that, as its name suggests, uses sounds
of very high frequency to obtain a diagnosis of the uterus. The sounds produced an
image of the uterus and which can be observed on a screen. From the screen, the
internal organs and the fibroids, if present, can be observed. If the clarity of the
images is not good, a transvaginal ultrasound can be used. This is a method that uses
a device that is inserted into the vagina to produce clearer images. The proximity of
this device to the uterus enables it to produce much clearer images.
A third method is an x ray is one of the most common methods of producing images

Alcohol Abuse and Alcohol Anonimus Essay
Alcohol Abuse is part of disorder that affects many people throughout the world.
Many are aware of the issues the disorder can bring not just on the victim, but also to
the people that surround the person with the psychological problem. There are
different areas that can be discussed in regards to alcoholism. According to Coon
Mitterer (2013), a substance abusedisorder is when there is an abuse or dependence
on a psychoactive drug. Alcoholis a substance that can become abusive and bring
negative effects on a person s body. Alcohol is a substance that can bring behavioral
effects such as behavioral effects, physical changes, and social changes. A good

Teenagers will change their friends and hang out with others that are going through
similar experiences or worse. Adults might change the way they treat their loved
ones because of the behavioral effects of using drugs. According to Mental
Health.gov (2014), social life changes involve a change in friends and hobbies, a
need for money for an unexplained reason, relationship and legal problems. There
are many more problems that can be added or included in to those categories and
affect people. The experience of having a loved one experiencing social issues can
impact the family and friends. A job may no longer be kept because of the work
related issues that may arise between coworkers. A son may no longer spend time at
home and instead opt to hang out with others that are abusing substances as well.
Parents can separate and affect their children future because they cannot behave in the
home environment.
Alcohol is very dangerous and many will still continue to consume it but there are
several ways to cope with abuse. Alcohol anonymous is a well known organization
that can help men and women who are struggling to quit or are tired of the effects
that the substance abuse has caused them. According to Alcoholic anonymous (2014),

The Historical Accuracy of Henry V by William
Shakespeare...
The Historical Accuracy of Henry V
Henry V, written by William Shakespeare, is by far one of his more historically
accurate plays. This play is the life of young King Henry V, who ascended to the
throne after his father, Henry IV s death. These times were much different for
England, as Henry V was a noble lord whom everyone loved, whereas angry factions
haunted his father s reign. Shakespeare portrays a fairly accurate account of the
historical Henry V, but certain parts are either inflated deflated, or conflated to
dramatize Henry V as a character suitable for a Renaissance audience.

Ethical Dilemmas In Special Education Essay
Special Education Teacher: When asked if she had ever encountered an ethical
dilemma, the special education teacher at Springdale Elementary, stated that she
had never experienced one, or at least she thinks that she hasn t. When asked what
she would do if she was ever placed in a situation that crossed some type of ethical
border, the teacher replied swiftly, stating that she would do anything to protect her
job. If it was ever between losing her job, and something else, she said that her job
always comes first. The teacher said that rules are there for a reason, and as
educators, we have to show our students that we abide by the rules placed on us, and
that they should do the same. The teacher then continued on to state that teachers

She then goes onto explain that there is one that has been recently stuck in her mind,
which was a dilemma that actually occurred a few years ago. She explained that one
of her students was being admitted into the hospital to get psychiatric testing done.
She then explained her dilemma that occurred. She stated that the mother of that
student had called her and told the teacher that her and her child (the student) wanted
her to come down and see them at the hospital. While the teacher did want to go see
the student, to see if he was making any progress in his psychiatric testing, there is
actually a school policy about the limitations that a teacher can go to see their student
outside of the classroom, and that sine the student wasn t in a life or death situation
at the hospital, then her visiting was actually going to break that policy. The teacher
decided in the end, to go to the principal and tell the principal about the situation and
in turn explain about the student and parent wanting her to go see them in the
hospital. In the end, the principal decided that it wouldn t be in the best interest of
the teacher to do that since there was a policy on it, but that it was okay for her to
keep in contact with the parent about the student s progress. The teacher ended this

The Effectiveness of the Observed Classroom Management Strategies
Classroom management plays a crucial role in shaping a student s performance in
class. As a result, a teacher s role is ensuring a conducive learning environment for all
students. Teachers must put their best foot forward in ensuring they develop this
invaluable skill which can only be learnt through continuous practice in the
classroom. Generally, teachers are expected to manage their classrooms during the
lessons. They are expected to arrange the classrooms (students), clearly outline the
class rules before the start of a lesson, command behavior expectations, outline lesson
goals as well as move around the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alternatively, I could alternate lessons where I teach for the entire lesson then on the
next one I present the group discussion prompts. I believe this would go a long way
into shaping the performance of the students especially the poorly performing ones
and the minority ones as well. This can be attributed to the fact that a significant
number of teachers in the video logs seem to be adopting the same strategies for class
management.
The Effectiveness of the Observed Academic Language, Metacognition, and
Communication Strategies
The effectiveness of the academic language, a metacognition as well as
communication strategy is evident in the video logs. In general metacognition in
learning is evoked through a clear explanation of the lesson objectives, goals and
vision; explanation of the purpose for studying that particular lesson, asking questions
and listening to feedback as well as assessing what the students have learnt at the end
of each lesson. The effectiveness of the academic language can then be measured by
the effective communication and use of technical terms without consequent
explanation. The teacher can as well explain the technical terms at the beginning of
the lessons then encourage their use by assigning students roles on the same topics
later on as the lesson continues. Similarly, conventional communication strategies
have revolved around both verbal and
Regulating Hypertension
Regulating Hypertension Through and Activity and Exercise Intervention
According to Ackley, Ladwig, and Makic (2017), the nursing process is an
organizing framework for professional nursing practice, a critical thinking process
for the nurse to use to give the best care possible to the client (p. 2). This process is
a series of steps with the intention of gathering information from an individual to
analyze if there is a problem within one s medical history. One way that a disease
entity can be found is by creating a genogram. For the purpose of this paper, the
author created a genogram and was able to determine a disease entity that was most
prevalent in his or her family medical history. The disease that was found to be the
most significant was hypertensionbased on the assessment of each family member and
the author s strengths and risks. With the information that was observed through the
initial steps of the nursing process, the author will continue to use this process to

Athletics and sports have influenced me in many ways over the years. They have
taught me different leadership skills and how to function on a team. These skills
will help me in the future, whether it is in my career or working with other people
on projects. First, sports have influenced my leadership skills. I have learned how to
compromise and how to help others when they are frustrated. Being a member of a
sportmeans that you have to think about others before yourself: I have learned that
from the many athletic activities I ve been involved in. There have been many
instances in sports I have been involved in where athletes get angry at themselves

I have been in soccer, cross country, and track during my high school athletic career.
Track has taught me how dependent you are on your teammates. During the relay

block position, I have learned that I could not show my frustration towards them

more passing oriented or shooting oriented. Similar, in track some people are more
self oriented versus team oriented, and care about their times and not the team as a

A Short Note On The And Non Tasters
Abstract:
Phenylthiocarbamide, sometimes also refers to as PTC, is an organic compound
that permits individuals to distinguish their level of acidic taste. Not everyone can
taste it, and the individuals who can are called tasters while the individuals who
can t are non tasters . Towards the start of the investigation a PTC paper of 0.003mg
fixation was given to a population of 23 participants with a specific end goal to
shape two unique gatherings: PTC tasters and non tasters. This investigation required
a total of two trials. In which, every participant started by rinsing their mouths with
water and afterward asked to begin tasting the PTC paper. At the same time, they
were given a scale from 0 5 in order to distinguish the intensity ... Show more content

Introduction:
The human body has various sorts of qualities that control the capacity to taste
substances experienced on a regular basis. PTC is a compound powder that
perceives the intensity of acidity taste for some individuals, however not all
individuals can taste it (Hoffman HJ, etc., 1998). The vicinity of the TAS2R
receptor on the tongue situated in chromosome 7 denotes the capacity to taste
PTC (Kim Drayna, 2004). The most popular well known strategies to taste PTC is
a piece of paper that it is place on people s tongue, and individuals who can t taste
the bitterness of the PTC paper are called non tasters , while the individuals who
can are called tasters (Lawless, H. 1980).Through various studies it has been found
that 15% 30% of individuals are non tasters of PTC; however it has likewise been
found that age, race, and sex assume a major part in who tastes and don t taste PTC
(Lawless, H. 1980). Sexual orientation has had an extremely intriguing relationship
between PTC taster and non tasters as it has been seen that women are more likely to
PTC than men (Merritt, R, etc., 2008).
FIGURE 1.1: This image shows how the linkage of smell and taste in the human
body brain is and does it work.
While a great majority of people are dominant in this trait, there are some that can t

individuals who can t taste PTC have acquired a Mendelian
Analysis Of Doubt, A Parable By John Patrick Shanley
The novel Doubt; A Parable by John Patrick Shanley, creates doubts and mystery in
readers minds that have us turning the pages, curious of what will happen next.
Doubt creates a lot of different opinions and perspectives, and raises a lot of
important discussions. You see that values play a big part in the way that we
think, and the way that we see others. It blocks our perspective on people, and
makes things seem very one sided, in order to live life to it s fullest potential you
need to not just look at your own beliefs but others as well. It creates doubt in
readers minds whether or not Father Flynn is guilty by showing us different sides
of characters and making us feel uncertain about our beliefs. In the novel, Shanley
reveals the differences between the characters, of Sister Aloysius who is the stern
traditionalist, the complete opposite of Father Flynn who is a very fun, kind, and
a progressive person. Sister Aloysius thinks that Father Flynn s ways of living life
are very strange and is appalled by his habits, because she feels very nervous and
threatened that Father Flynn will take over the church, and tradition will leave the
system. Sister Aloysius likes to have her own specific list of beliefs, and traditions,
so when she sees Father Flynn s long fingernails, and the amount of sugars he puts in
his tea, she becomes outraged, shocked, and appalled by the ways that he enjoys
living his life. Sister Aloysius says: Your fingernails. Father Flynn replies
Acid-Base Titration Lab
The purpose of the Acid Base Titration Lab was to determine the concentration of
sodium hydroxide by titration against a standard solution. A titration is a laboratory
method used to determine the concentration of an acid or a base in a solution by
performing a neutralization reaction with a standard solution. It detects the
equivalence point between the acidand basewhere they neutralize each other. The
materials used in this procedure were HCL solution, water, ring stand, burette, burette
clamp, unknown concentration of NaOH, phenolphthalein, erlenmeyer flask, and
graduated cylinder. To start the procedure, obtain a burette, and rinse the burette with
water and check if the burette is able to release the solution. Next the ring stand must

Trial two started with 0 mL of NaOH and ended at 17.3 mL. On trial three NaOH
started at 0 mL and it ended at 21.5 mL. The molarity of HCL was 0.1 M and its
volume was 20 mL. The average of sodium hydroxide used was 19 mL. Using the
dilution equation, 0.1 M of hydrochloric acid multiplied by 20 mL of hydrochloric
acid is 2. Taking 2 divided by 19 mL of sodium hydroxide gives 0.105 M as the
molarity for NaOH. The calculated unknown molarity of NaOH was 0.105 M.
This compares to the known theoretical molarity of NaOH which was 0.1 M. The
molarity of sodium hydroxide from the experiment is close to its theoretical
hydroxide meaning the results of the experiment were accurate. The final volumes
of NaOH were also close to each other therefore the results were both accurate and
precise. Hydrochloric acid is an example of an strong acid and sodium hydroxide
is an example of a strong base. When a strong acid and a strong base react, the
neutralize each other. Carrying out a titration between a strong acid and a strong
base is done to find the equivalence point. The point at which chemically equal
amounts of the acid and base have been mixed and neutralized each other.
Neutralization between a strong acid and base such as HCl and NaOH will result in
a solution with a pH of 7.0. If the final solution does not have a pH of 7.0 errors that
might have occurred include misjudging of color indicator, using a contaminated

Vaginal yeast infections are very common with women. The symptoms include:
soreness and redness in the vaginal area, white, clumpy vaginal discharge that has a
similar look to cottage cheese, painful intercourse and extreme itching in the

men. The symptoms of men include itching or burning on the tip of the penis and
red rash on penis. Sexual partner can be infected by yeast infection if untreated.
Fortunately, there are many over the counter treatments for yeast infections
available. Creams are available as a treatment and also a physician may

important to see a physician rather than self diagnosing. If the infection returns it is
possible that antifungal medicine is needed to be taken everyday for 10 to 14 days
and then once a week for 6 months. If a person frequently get yeast infection a
physician would further look into this matter to see what exactly is causing the

Today, 18 different Hmong clan names are still passed down from generation to
generation. Hmong clan names are equivalent to American last names. First names
identify people and last names identify clans. The 18 clans provide life time
membership and ongoing material and spiritual support to their members from birth
to death. Newborns are given the father s clan name, which they cannot change. For
that reason, Hmong women retain their clan name when they get married (Moua,
1995). The foundation of Hmong life is marriage and family (Millett, 2002). An
ancient ritual requires the groom to pay a bride price, a negotiated sum of money
paid to the bride s parents. Hmong newlyweds live with the husband s parents until
they have two or more children. However, Hmong culture expects the last born
married son, his wife, and children to permanently live with, support, and care for his
parents and grandparents until their death. Unfortunately, time honored Hmong
traditions are challenged by American culture. For example, there is conflict between
Hmong Christians and Hmong Animists. Animists sacrifice animals to worship
spirits; they believe that all living things have spirits (Brittan, 1997). Hmong
Christians worship God and condemn animal sacrifice. As a result, Christianity
altered traditional Hmong rituals and ceremonies. For instance, Christianity
eliminated the payment of a bride price

In addition, with the purpose of protecting sales of Daimler s luxury and
uncompromising quality products like Mercedes, some core vehicles of Chrysler,

while Daimler Benz s vehicles are less cost effective. Merging with Daimler Benz,
Chrysler hadn t earned as many benefits as expected, but already faced a severe

Practically, from Chrysler s point of view, instead of benefiting from synergy savings

Father Vs. Son Rivalry In Finding Nemo
One of the bigger conflicts in the play is the battle rivalry between the king and the
prince. Which is similar to struggle of Uranus vs. Saturn or Saturn vs. Jupiter in
ancient mythology. This struggle is a prime example of the rivalry of the values of a
father figure and the values of a son. Father versus sonconflict are evident in many
different people s lives and many families in today s world. Think about every
teenage guy with their dad s, they constantly butt heads and have conflicting ideas.
The teenager in their own minds think they are always right, while the Father who
has life experience has his own ideas and is trying to develop their child into a
successful adult and human being. Father versus son conflict is possibly the most...

blames his father for this and eventually runs away to try to reconcile with his ex
girlfriend. The father and son reconcile though, and never argue again. Unlike in the
play where the King and the Prince reconcile, then they eventually end up in conflict
and opposition again. Another example of father versus son conflict is one of the
other boys as he strives for his dad s attention, yet his dad constantly ignores him and
he finally thinks its enough and runs away from his family. This is alot different than
the play because in the play his the Prince s family does not try to save the Prince

Significant Change
Over the past few years my outlook towards studies has altered vividly. In all the
previous years of my life I have been in education were I was not mindful of
anything other than school. However in an attempt to discover the way to what my

Issues Noted In Initial Reflection
As noted in my initial reflection report, I have been dyslexic since a young age,
which as taking me a long time to understand and accept the effects of been a
dyslexic person. Dyslexia as has taken a tremendous affect in my education by
disturbing my reading, writing and information receiving methods. I am always
trying to improve and activate my reading and writing skills to maintain a sufficient
academic level in order to effectively write reports, assignments and answer essay
questions. Also another area which needs improvement is my researching skills in
order to extract effective information.
Issues Noted In Initial Plan
In order to be able to complete all my semesters effectively I will need to
concentrate on all aspects of my modules, to do that I will need to ensure I read
extensively into all my modules topes to ensure I extracts the best information to be
able to produce a great quality of work. As I have mentioned in my initial reflection
concerning my dyslexia which means that I will need to improve my attention span
and take full advantage of my listening skills. As I have been out of education
A Dolls House Essay
It has been said that, some people think that it s holding on that makes one strong;
sometimes it s letting go. In Henrik Ibsen s A Doll s House, Nora s departure
becomes the controversial topic of debate for many readers; was Nora Helmer
justified in leaving her husband and kids or not? It is argued that both parents are
needed for a child to succeed in life and that separation is an act of cowardness.
However, several readers also debate that Nora was justified in leaving Torvald and
her kids. The mistreatment Nora constantly faced through offensive nicknames, her
child like mentality that made her unfit to take care of her children and her identity as
a doll demonstrate her need to leave the Helmer household.
Nora s maltreatment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, this behaviour becomes evident when Nora offers to help Mrs.
Linde and she responds, it is doubly kind in you, for you know so little of the
burdens and troubles of life (1.359 60) proceeded by you are a child, Nora (1.363).
Consequently, Nora responds in an immature manner by tossing her head and
crossing the stage (1.702 03). Evidence of her childish behaviour and naГЇve
mentality reveals the underlying need for her to grow and to do so she must find
herself. In summary, the family nurse and Nora s immaturity and naivety justify her
decision to leave Torvald and her kids to find herself to gain the independence needed
to become the mother that her children needed.
Nora was a doll trapped in a doll house and if she did not leave soon she would
remain there forever. Nora has been a doll her whole life; Nora s father called [Nora]
his doll child, and he played with [her] just as [she] used to play with [her] dolls
(3.608 09). When Nora married, she was simply transferred from Papa s hands into
[Torvald] s (3.612 613) like the toy she was. Furthermore, the transfer of her was
also a transfer of control. If Nora differed from [her father], [she] concealed the fact,
because he would not have liked it (3.606 07). In like manner, Nora concealed the
macaroons she ate from Torvald because it would anger him, disrupting his control

Development of Suspense by Hitchcock in Psycho Essay
Development of Suspense by Hitchcock in Psycho
Psycho, the somewhat infamous film by Alfred Hitchcock was produced in 1961, a
time when the American censors, The Hays Office, still dominated the film industry
with their strict rules and principles. It earned its notoriety by defying the traditional
cinematic convections of that time and pushing the boundaries of what could be
shown in mainstream cinema. The rules implemented by The Hays Office were far
stricter than they are today, and Hitchcock uses all available means to reach and go
slightly beyond the set limit. Using clever and different camera angles, he implies
things that are not shown. He proves that innuendoes can portray the ... Show more

In fact, a lot of horror films today still leave their leading ladies intact by the end of
the film, e.g. Scream. Whether it is actually Marion or her sister, who is the heroine,
can then be debatable.
Abogast, the private detective who is hired to find Marion, but more importantly,
find the stolen $40,000, is also killed very soon after Marion. Once again, the
audience gets surprised as it is usually the detective who solves the mystery and
presents it to the audience at the end of the film. In this case however, Abogast is
merely a stepping stone for Sam, Marion s boyfriend and Lila, Marion s sister. He
does the majority of the work and leaves enough clues for Lila and Sam to continue
his job.
The early deaths of the main characters shocked the audience enough to leave them
mystified and at the edge of their seats for the remainder of the film. Hitchcock had
succeeded in creating suspense in his film using a new and different convention that
had never been tried before.
The early deaths concept wasn t the only technique Hitchcock used to develop the
suspense in Psycho . A more common but effective technique is also used; music. Not
just any music either, but relevant music. It is general knowledge that music can
psychologically influence people s thoughts and emotions.
What Is The Theme Of Conflict In Lord Of The Flies
The book Lord of the Flies was written after the author William Golding came back
from second world war. William golding used his experiences from the conflict of
the war to write a book that has conflict as the core message. This is shown by the
direct war between civiliation and savagary. It is also shown by the underline
descriptions of the children being opposite to each other. The first point in the
book is the conflict between civilation and savagary. The conflict between these
two areas are shown by the using imagery of the two characters who represent
them. This is shown by the decription of both ralph and jack, the protaganist and
the antagonist. Ralph is shown within this book as The boy with fair hair , the fair
mentioned in this quote shows not only the colour of the boys hair but also has a
double meaning for the boy s nature. This shows that the boy is fair , kind,
civilised. The colour of the boy s hair also can symbolised that he is neutral or even
kind because of the fair colour (i.e white/blond)is lacking darkness... Show more

The main quotes that show the island are The shore was fleged with palm trees and
The long scar smashed into the jungle . These quotes present the island as both hell
and paradise. This can be seen by the imagary of the palm trees and the language
used to describe the parts of the island such as scar and how the smash into the
island. Both these words are veery negative showing that the island is much like
hell but the children see it as paradise because there are no parents that is why it is

Christian Science Research Papers
Cristian Science Christian Science is an ongoing religious cult that was started in the
early nineteenth century. Mary Baker Eddy was the original founder who started the
idea in the United States during 1879. After a thirty five year revision period, she
finished the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures. The textbook was finally published in 1875, which stated all the beliefs of
Christian Science. Some of the beliefs include the tenets of Christian Science. Each
tenet explains what a Christian Scientist believes about God, the Bible, and Jesus. The
largest controversy when it comes to Christian Science is the belief about healing
and medicine. They believe that prayer and spiritual means to heal themselves of
any sickness. The concept was produced when Mary was reading the Bible while
being ill. Her idea of spiritual healing is also believed to be a large part of
redemption. If a person does not believe that God will heal them through prayer,
then they are not saved. After teaching a class her newfound belief on healing, she
established a school called the Massachusetts Metaphysical College. Many of her
students became believers and were able to heal people. It was during this time that
the belief grew until the twenty first... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They believe that Jesus is a divine human being that is not considered a deity.
While they do believe in both the crucifixion and resurrection, they do not believe
that Jesus is simply a moral example. Christian Scientists follow the Bible s
teachings and the Trinity. To them, God is omnipotent and purposeful as well. It is
taught that God is infinite love and good. His laws are considered good and the
only reality. With the power of God, one glimpse can overcome sin, sickness, and
evil. Over all, the belief is similar to Christianity except the spiritual healing
Positive And Negative Effects Of Thermoregulation
Thermoregulation is the control of the body s temperature. Normal body core
temperature is typically around 37 В°C, staying within a functional range of 35 to 41
В°C. (PГ©riard et al., 2015) Temperature during exercise can have both positive and
negative effects and therefore it is important to manage it through training and heat
acclimatisation. It has been found that power output and speed of cyclists decreased
during hot conditions. (Racinais, S et al., 2015) However, due to heat acclimatisation
the decrements were progressively increased, therefore suggesting that heat
acclimatisation can be used successfully. (PГ©riard et al., 2015). Similarly, it can be
found that exercise increases body temperatureand the resulting heat stored becomes
a factor inhibiting exercise performance. Loss of heat by evaporation can eventually
hinder performance. Therefore, it is again found that acclimatization improves
performance by affecting heat loss mechanisms. (Reilly et al, 2006). A study was
carried out by Webborn et al., (2005) to test weather precooling/cooling in
intermittent sprint exercises in a hot environment would reduce a rise in core
temperature. 8 male participants took part in 4 heat stress trials with the independent
variables being no cooling control, 20 min of precooling and cooling during exercise.
Each participant took a pill measuring core body temperature and the results found
that during 80 minutes of passive rest in heated conditions, body temperature rose

The Benefits and Risks of Breast Augmentation Essay
The Benefits and Risks of Breast Augmentation
Every day women are bombarded with images of beautiful models with thin figures
and huge round breast. In striving to achieve the ?ideal? body type women are
altering their bodies; cosmetic surgery has increased enormously in the past few
years. Breast augmentation alone has increased 500% since 1992. What are the
benefits of having big voluptuous breasts? Do the benefits overweigh the risks?
There are two main types of breast implants. One is filled with silicone gel and the
other is filled with saline (sterile salt water); both of these implants have an outer
silicone shell. Prior to 1991 both types of implants were approved by the FDA, but in
April of 1992 silicone filled implants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Surgery may also be required in the case of infection, shifting of the implant, and
formation of calcium in surrounding tissues.
Other risk factors may include nerve damage, interference with breast feeding, and
interference in the detection of breast cancer. After surgery women might experience
a change in sensation in the nipples or tissue of the breast. Some women may regain
sensation but for others it can be permanent. After breast surgery many women are
unable to breast feed, which can be caused by nerve damage. Detection of breast
cancer is also a major risk. Breast implants can interfere with finding cancer during
mammography. The implant can hide breast tissue and as result it can also hide
lesions. In the article Saline Breast Implants Stay on Market as Experts Warn about
Risks, Linda Bren says that, ?The process of taking a mammogram, which includes
squeezing, or compressing, the breast, may increase the chance of rupture. But
limiting the compression may compromise the quality of the picture.?
When scheduling a mammography, women with implants require special attention.
Instead of a regular screening, they should ask for a comprehensive, or diagnostic,
mammography. They should also request an x ray technician with experience in
mammography for women with implants and inform the technician where the
implant is located, above or below the muscle tissue. Factors to consider before
getting breast implants:

The organization states that this implant can not restore normal hearing, instead it
can give the person a useful representation of sounds in the environment and help
them to understand speech. With all of these pieces the cochlear implant works very
different from a hearing aid. Hearing aids amplify sound so they may be detected
by damaged ears, while cochlear implants bypass the damages and directly stimulate
the auditory nerve. The signals generated by the implant are sent to the auditory
nerve, which then send the signals to the brain. The brain then recognizes the signals
as sound. According to the NIDCD (2013a) the cochlear implant can be helpful to
many different people. Both children and adults can be fitted for cochlear implants
and as stated by the Food and Drug Administration, as of December 2012,
approximately 324,000 people have cochlear implants worldwide. In the U.S. alone,
about 58,000 adults and 38,000 children have them. Adults who have lost their
hearing often benefit from cochlear implants due to the signs they receive can easily
be associated with sounds they have heard before with practice. Children who receive
implants also strive, especially when the implant is paired with sign language and

Gatorade needs to decrease the amount of sugar in their products or needs to stop

California Prison System
The California prison system was created in response to the increased amount of
criminal activity that sparked during the Gold Rush years. Prior to the Gold Rush,
California had prided itself on being a land of health, beauty, and opportunity
(Bookspan, xviii). However, immigration and population growth surged, especially
amongst foreign convicts and aliens , resulting in increased crime. At first, it was
decided that punishment for small crimes would be a beating by whip while
punishment for serious crimes, like robbery or murder, would be hanging
(Kidport). After becoming a state in 1850, the California governor John McDougal
reacted to this method of punishment by beginning what is known as the California
PrisonSystem. The first prison within California was San Quentin, which began to
receive inmates in 1854, next was Folsom State Prison in 1880, then California
Correctional Institution in 1933, California Institution for Men in 1941, and
California Institute for Women in 1952 as well as multiple California state prisons
that have opened since then in cities such as San Diego, Sacramento, Chowchilla,
Avenal, Corcoran, Susanville, Vacaville, Crescent City, and many more (California
Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation). The early California prison systems
were very much influenced by the Auburn prison system, from the Auburn
Correctional Facility in Auburn, New York. This system imposed solitary
confinement to silence prisoners and promote meditations, but still
The Fall Of The House Of The Usher
Edgar Allen Poe stories are viewed as being supernatural and tragic; however,

Roderick is following the same path as the Usher s, which they have been doing
for many generations, before him. He had no other choice and through the years
was molded to believe that he should be his own sister s lover. They were raised
more of future lovers than as siblings. The line between lovers and family was
never drawn for them, so the family secret also stayed with their family. The secrets
sealed in the direct line of descent (Poe 703). Another key factor for intermarriage
is to keep any property they own in the Usher s name. The family house could
possibly be the last thing that the Usher own. Once the house fall in someone else

structures, one flaw being the crack that ran down the center of the house. That
house held everything that was the Usher and when Roderick and Madeline died
the house came down right after them. The tragedy to love someone, but cannot be

Land Art History
When it emerged in the sixties among the crush of several other art movements (Pop
Art, Minimalism, among others) Land Art came to be an anti gallery artistic offshoot
that straddled the domain between architecture and sculpture. It had no manifestos
nor schools nor leaders and it was not quite a movement; the artists who were
involved with it were also involved in other types of arts. Land artwas labelled as
modern sculpture but its versatility and introduction of new concepts and visual
materials made it difficult to ascribe it to one field or term. Later on, the term Earth

the negative and positive space in such a way that the broken circle whose
alternating arms are shaped with white and yellow sand, recalls the Chinese Yin

Rebellious attitude is depicted throughout George Orwell s novel 1984 and Margaret
Atwoods novel The Handmaid s Tale in a subtle, yet powerful way. The faint,

will always lead to a change but never to a unanimous decision, so the future is
always seen as a brighter place. The future lays in past decisions, such as the
decision to end segregation, the decision to organize population growth, or the
decision to separate blood family. These choices have come from past generations

The Pros And Cons Of Workplace Violence
Workplace Violence
Workplace violence is the main issue in the United States expressed influencing a
large number of American consistently. Working environment violence is any
demonstration or danger of physical savagery, provocation, terrorizing, or other
undermining problematic conduct that happens at the work site. It ranges from
dangers and verbal mishandle to physical ambushes and even murder. It can
influence and include workers, customers, nurses, patient, clients, and guests.
Workplace violence can be discovered anywhere in every field we may accept the
fact that it can happen in our workplace too, but the fewer people speak which is
encouraging these criminals to prepare of making more atrocity. The occupational
safety and health organization (OSHA) have created rules and suggestions to
decrease laborer presentation to this deplorable scourge but still many people are
being victimized their hands are tied up mouths are taped out to face the reality of
what they are living through (OSHA 2015). OSHA s paradigm incorporates the
following elements: management commitment and employee involvement, hazard
analysis or assessment, hazard controls, employee training, and recordkeeping and
evaluation (McPhaul, London, Lipscomb, 2013). As mentioned, these elements are
basic guidelines in constructing a program, but more specific measures are needed to
address specific precursors that contribute to the occurrence of violence and bullying.
This would assist in forming the best strategies to remedy workplace violence and
incivility.
Hatred in the work environment breeds various issues for workers. For example,
representatives working in a negative situation will probably discover issues with
confidence and low profitability. Also, a negative work environment can prompt high
representative turnover rates. To build energy in the work environment, workers must
to make a positive workplace and do what it takes to maintain and cultivate this
culture. According to Yoder wise (2011), the definition of violence includes overt and
covert behavior ranging from offensive threatening language to homicide (Yoder
Wise, 2011, p.498). Violence can be noted as the general term that represents lateral
aggression,

Beauty Pageants, Good or Bad? Pageants world wide have caused plenty of drama
and arguments, for example Toddlers and Tiaras. Have you ever realized how
many arguments and disputes happen on that show? And, have you ever realized
how bad beauty pageants are to our youth? Beauty pageants teach kids at a young
age to think that they are better than someone else. Parents sexualizing kids by
putting them in pageants the kids are too young to tell there parents no, and they
use too much hairspray, are all good examples of how beauty pageants can be bad!

And third, kids are too young to fight back heir parents and say NO! I may not
have physical evidence, but when you were a kid would you stand up for yourself

others. Some kids parents aren t as lenient. Finally, too much hairspray is bad for
you! Hairspray contains phthalates, which act as hormone disruptors and cause
stunted growth. Also, a source called Is hairspray bad for you hair says, Many
people believe hairspray is harmful to hair because it contains alcohol. Some types
of alcohol, such as ethanol alcohol, can be drying to hair. And with the information
I ve already given you, my reason 3 is they will use a whole can on one kid! That s
a lot of hairspray for only one kid. In conclusion, beauty pageants aren t good for
kids at young ages. By competing in these pageants, young girls are sexualized by
adults, the kids are too young to say no, and too much hairspray is bad for their

The French Revolution Of 1789-1799
Revolutions are generally the result of political problems, economical problems,
social reasons, or a combination of all these factors. The French Revolution of
1789 1799 was one of the most important events in the history of the world. It
questioned the authority of kings, priests and nobles. The primary cause of the
revolution was the dispute over the people s differing ideas of reform. It was
essentially a revolution of all classes of society against the old system of government.

The bourgeoisie were by far the wealthiest in this group. They were merchants,
manufacturers, lawyers, doctors and other upper class professionals. The other
extreme, however, was the peasantry. They were forced to pay hefty taxes, tithes to
the church and rents to their landlords for the land they lived on. The last group
within the Third Estate was made up of urban workers. Most of these people lived
in crowded towns, and insanitary tenements. They were forced to work long
hours, and while prices roes by 65%, their wages only rose by 22%, thus their
standard of living was in decline. The middle class was often worried about social
status, for they were not recognized because they were part of the third estate.
Since the first two estates were exempted from taxes, this left the third estate to
provide almost all of the country s income. They were forced to pay taxes on their
income, land, property, crops, salt, tobacco, wine and cider. This were just too
much for a hard working individual to pay and on top of all of this, they were
forced into military service Members of the third estate were tired of being treated
unfairly. Clearly this system was unjust and reforms were necessary. The major
causes of the Revolution were the differences these groups had. France was suffering
from harsh economic problems at this time. There was no central treasury to collect
taxes and so in many parts of France, the taxes were either not paid, or kept by the
accountants. This
Takashi Murakami Essay
On October 18th, 2017 the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston opened up an exhibition
of contemporary works by Takashi Murakami, called Takashi Murakami: Lineage of
Eccentrics it is one of the most imaginative exhibitions out today. The new modern
works are juxtaposed with traditional pieces from the Museum of Fine Arts
established collection of Japanese art. The exhibition shows the viewer how
Murakami s contemporary works has taken reference from the bountiful and dynamic
art of the historical past. The exhibition includes, paintings and sculpturecreated by
the Murakami in direct response to Japanese pieces from the Museum of Fine Arts
collection. Before entering the exhibition the viewer is introduced to an energetic
video montage of all the works with a sound created by Kevin J. Simon. This fast

Case Study- Confidential Accounts at Swiss Bank
Corporation
Ethical principles are essential for the proper and fair conduct of business around the
world. In principal, ethical principles can and should dominate any and all decision
making, regardless if it occurs during a business transaction. Without ethics, it would
be impossible to conduct business and establish the trust necessary between
consumers and business entities.
Of the many ethical principles that exist, several exist that relate to business ethics.
Egoism is defined as the ethical belief that self interest is the just and proper motive
for all human conduct (www.dictionary.com). Egoism is essential in the banking

Before now, Adler has always, without a doubt, been able to ensure his clients that
their personal financial information would always remain secret; thus, his first

Swiss bank secrecy that he once could, a problematic development. Secondly, Adler
faces the prospect of being forced, even unwillingly, to report ALL of his clients

possible that some of Adler s most loyal, long time clients, may be engaging in

Without a doubt, Adler faces several difficult decisions. From an egoist perspective,
Adler faces personal financial losses and the reduced customer base. Since egoism is

What Is The Conflict In The Scarlet Timmernel
The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Emma Orczy, demonstrates a man versus man conflict,
with Percy Blakeney as the protagonist who is fighting to keep his identity secret
from Chauvelin. Percy Blakeney, the Scarlet Pimpernel, was a brave individual who
determined to save French aristocrats from the guillotine. However, Chauvelin, a
French agent, was determined to discover the identity of the Scarlet Pimpernel.
Chauvelin desired to find the Scarlet Pimpernel in France, and have him executed by
means of the guillotine. Therefore, he enlisted the help of Lady Blakeney, through
means of threatening her dear brother. At the time, she had no knowledge that her
husband was, in reality, the Scarlet Pimpernel. Therefore, Lady Blakeney unwillingly

My First Day At School
I entered the school and the hot air hits my face. There are lots of people there,
smiling. I didn t know if it was a fake smile, but it made me feel welcomed. I went
into the office to get my schedule. When I got it I went directly to my Science
classroom and sat in my seat. The teacher called me up to introduce myself. Great,
just what I wanted, to make a fool out of myself on the first day. My face felt numb
and I wanted to go home. I went up and felt my voice struggling to get out, my
body trembling as if I just fell into a tub of water. My first words came out
M.....M.....My name s Jeff. At that moment I thought that I was done for, I was
walking back to my seat, and I thought that I heard laughter. My face went red hot,
and I thought that I was going to flip out, I just held it all in and started to listen as
the teacher talked.
My skin went hot and red. I just wanted to go back home. I sat in my seat and
listened as the teacher talked, trying hard not to make any eye contact, then it
happened, the bell rang it was lunchtime, the other worst possible thing that could
happen, I didn t know where to sit, I hadn t made any friends. I went to the cafe and
let my eyes gaze over the people that were there. Then I heard, Jeff, over here, the
thing that I was least expecting, happened, I got invited to sit with them. We talked
and ate, after that, we went outside, it was cold and made my hands numb and dry, I
asked them if we could go inside, but they said that they wanted
Formative Experiences And The Formation Of My Self...
Formative experiences and the formation of my self leadership model Different
experiences come a long way to form my model of self leadership currently. During
my first years of my employment, the dean in the department I worked in Vietnam
was a transformational leader who motivated me significantly. Among senior faculties
in the department, she was not evaluated as the best researcher or instructor.
However, no one in the department rejected the fact that she was a very effective
leader. She led to a noticeable transform inside the department. Before she undertook
the position of a dean, the department was full conflicts among senior faculties due to
promotion issues. The senior faculties merely collaborated with each other or shown

Previously, not many faculties believed that she could be an effective leader
because she was not an outstanding researcher. She, however, was not
demotivated by others judgments. She came to the office to work at 8:00 am and
often left at 8:00 pm every day, sometimes, even during the weekend. She highly
focused on her huge workload, but always smiled and encouraged other faculties
and staff to work. When I asked her what motivated her to engage in her work like
that, she shared with me: When I was as young as you are now, I admired a senior
faculty a lot because she was such as good scholar, a role model of whom I wanted
to be in the future. Then I talked to her, and I still remember what she told me. She
said that, the most important thing is to be passionate about what I am doing, and
always work with 100% of my capacity, bring the best of mine to the work, then,
the good thing will come to you inherently. I always remember her words and I talk
that to myself every day. I have worked with that attitude from then on. From the
beginning of my career, I was clear that I wanted to be a trustful and capable
employee, who could teach and conduct research effectively. I took every single
work seriously and always tried to do my best. I motivated myself that by working
hard in each small work, I was accumulating new skills, new
Archetypes In The Movie Talladega Nights
Talladega Nights An archetype is defined as a typical character, an action or a
situation that seems to represent such universal patterns of human nature (
Archetype Examples and Definition of Archetype. ). The three most common
archetypes are the hero, the sidekick and the villain. Talladega Nights is a movie
that contains an example of each of these (McKay). It is about NASCAR and the
legacy of Ricky Bobby. One of his famous quotes is If you re not first, you re last (
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby Quotes. ). The quote means that one
must finish first, in order for it to count. In the beginning of the movie, the driver of

As the season moves on, he takes over as the driver and continues to win races and
gain sponsors. Ricky puts the team and the fans on his back and carries them to
victory. Ricky is a hero for everyone; they look up to him. He proves that he is the
best driver at the time by winning. Ricky is a hero because he is courageous and
changes the course of his team by winning. Most heroes have a trusty sidekick. A
sidekick can be defined as the absolutely faithful and supportive member of the
Archetypal character set ( MenuDramaticaВ®The Next Chapter in Story
Development. ). Cal Naughton Jr. is Ricky s sidekick. They do everything together
and are like partners in crime. If Ricky is ever falling behind in a race, Cal
slingshots Ricky into first. A slingshot is when one car gets behind another car,
catches the draft and shoots by the car ahead or into first. They always do the
slingshot so Ricky will win the race. Cal is the sidekick because he never wins, but
he helps his teammate win every race. Cal does not get all the credit for winning,
but he does help make it happen. So, Cal is like Robin and Ricky is like Batman.
Cal is the sidekick because he is faithful and supportive of Ricky on the track. The
third archetype in Talladega Nights is the villain. The definition of villain is a
dramatic or fictional character who is typically at odds with the hero ( Villain. ).
This villain is Jean Girard; a
Coffee Paper Cups Are Good For The Environment
What is your to coffee? Double espresso? Ristretto? Americano? Cappuccino? Well
whatever that coffee is, it s most likely to end up being served in a paper cup. The

biodegradable material. Which is a far better option for the environment when
compared to the material, plastic. So does that means these coffeepaper cup are good

of paper cups emits about 0.11 kilograms of carbon dioxide of a single cup. This
takes in consideration of all factors of the makings which includes the paper, the
paper sleeve, the plastic, and the ink of the cup. But it s okay if this much carbon is
produced because we have our forests to clear it up, right?
Trees are known to be one of nature s greatest filters, adsorption carbon dioxide,
photosynthesising it to oxygen. But how are they suppose to filter the air of carbon
if we are cutting 20 million trees down every year? To state again, if these paper
cups are disposed of into the environment, they can cause soil pollutions and a
numerous amount of health risk issues. And even though we have sustainable
methods of deforestation practices, the production of paper cups will results in the
ecosystem s reduction forests and the overall increase of the planet s carbon
Blanche Dubois Opinion
The plot of A Streetcar Named Desire possesses a unique potential for a difference of
opinions to exist. That is to say, much like most dramatic literature, interpretation is
based on individual emotion, this particular style of writing leaves plenty of room for
personal perspectives and speculations to materialize. With that stated, my account of
the storyline is centered on Blanche DuBois personal struggles and the explicit
confrontations she encounters with Stanley Kowalski. Although the story begins
with a glimpse into the life of Stella and Stanley, it is quickly taken over by the
presence of Blanche. As her backstory unfolds, the intrigue which grabs holds of the
audience begins to be fulfilled.
Blanche was portrayed as a disturbed yet educated Southern Bell, who hailed from a
once prominent family, although, through generations it managed to lose all
inheritances and in the same manner the respectability of the family name. This fact,
undoubtedly afflicted Blanche and unlike her younger sister Stella, she could not
accept the unfortunate circumstances of the families tribulations, much like her own

inevitably exposed Blanche s half truths and out right delusions. He forced her to
acknowledge her troubles, past and present, then in a most heinous act forced himself
upon her, driving her to her ultimate breaking point. In the end, Blanche was
committed to a mental facility leaving only one resounding moral to the story... Don t

Recruitment Methods
The purpose of this memorandum is to guide the company on how to conduct an
efficient and effective recruitment and selection process when hiring senior level
employees. Below I have provided a few of the top options that the organization can
easily put in place for the use of recruiting and selection new senior level staff.
Recruitment Methods Recruiting qualified candidates that are able to adequately
handle and manage senior level positions of the organization takes a great deal of
time and patience. Placing individuals who are not sufficiently knowledgeable at a
senior level could cause an organization a great deal of damage and money. It s
therefore advisable for every organization to apply some of these methods. There are

There might be employees working as junior staffs but they have the required
qualifications thus when an opportunity arises they are given the priority.
Selection Methods Selecting suitable candidates for senior level positions of the
organization is also an essential undertaking. There are several considerations an
organization must take into an account about a candidate before hiring them.
1.Credentials Assessment. It is very important to know what experience and skillset a
candidate brings with them when joining an organization. Individuals with higher
degrees, received from premier colleges demonstrate commitment through their
qualifications. (McDonald, 2012)
2.Position Matching. Another vital component to the selection process is matching
the right individual to the position. For example, a senior level staff member in
charge of the organization s finances must have experience and knowledge relating to
the management of how a company s finances are handled. If the candidate s
experience and skills do not match the position being filled, then obviously, this
candidate is not the right match. Hiring a candidate with only some of the skills
needed for that specific position could put the organization in a very compromising
position. (McDonald, 2012)
3.Personal Characteristics. Another imperative element when selecting senior staff is
their personal characteristics in relation to their leadership
An Enemy Of The People Character Analysis
The Plot of An Enemy of the People
Majority of the good stories begin with a crucial list of the ingredients such as the
initial situation, the conflict, the complication, the climax, the suspense, the
denouement as well as the conclusion. An Enemy of the People by Ibsen Henrik is a
play that encompasses all these ingredients. The drama takes the form of a unified plot
since it has a chronological order of events from the beginning to the end. In this
paper, I will analyze the plot of this drama play by specifically examining the plot
type, plot action and how in overall the plot is structured.
At the start of the drama, everything appears hunky dory as every individual has a
higher expectation of the Baths to generate a lot of money for the town. Dr.
Stockman, the protagonist, is surrounded by families and friends who all appear to
love him. Definitely, there is some sibling rivalry that is taking place with the mayor,
Peter Stockman who is his brother. However, the thing looks fine ultimately, then Dr.
Stockman announces a discovery that he has determined from his investigation that
Municipal`s Baths are actually contaminated with a bacteria. He emphasizes that if
there is nothing that is done to restore the situation, the water that is meant to heal the
people will instead make them sick (Ibsen 17). Upon this discovery, all the supposed
friends of Dr. Stockman congratulate him and praise him calling him a hero. All this
is happening during the initial situation before the conflict is reached.
During the conflict, Peter Stockman who is the mayor of the town brings bad news
to Dr. Stockman but Dr. Stockman swears to safeguard this news. Amidst this crisis,
both Hovstad and Aslaksen show up and promise to offer their support to Dr.
Stockman. Dr. Stockman at first does not perceive the big deal concerning the
discovery. He is convinced from his laboratory findings that the water is actually
poisoned and that everybody wants this situation fixed. The bubble of Dr. Stockman
is passed quickly upon the arrival of Peter Stockman, his brother. The mayor informs
Dr. Stockman that the town will be ruined if the pollution of the Baths is fixed.
Thusly, he Peter Stockman resorts to threatening his brother. This makes
Uses And Uses Of Photosynthesis
Introduction:
Photosynthesis is a process that plants use to create glucose by utilizing sunlight,
carbon dioxide, and water. The pigments in a plant absorb light by way of
photosynthesis and each pigment can absorb different colors but will reflect green
light because it does not really absorb it. Therefore, plants always appear to have a
green color. Plants have four pigments that were tested in this exercise called
carotenoids such as carotenes/xanthophyll, also pigments chlorophyll a and
chlorophyll b. Chlorophyll a absorbs blue/violet light, chlorophyll b absorbs red/blue
light, and carotene absorbs blue green/violet colors. Oxygen is after product of
photosynthesis along with glucose which is used later in cellular respiration. ... Show

One table was used to describe how photosynthesis would occur with regular white
light and one that was covered which measured the rate of cellular respiration. The
other table describes the rate of photosynthesis and gross photosynthesis of green
/white light. The table for green/white light was measured with accuracy with a
volumeter tube. By analyzing the data, it can be confirmed that green light did not
perform photosynthesis as fast as white light and white light performed
photosynthesis creating oxygen more rapidly than the tube that had no light.
Discussion:
The second hypothesis on the rate of photosynthesis (green/white light) was correct
because the data in the table above states that the rate of photosynthesis (which was
measured in volumeters) was higher in the tube that was exposed to white light.
The green light produced much slower rate results for photosynthesis because the
color was not really absorbed very well. Plants use all colors of light to use
photosynthesis except for green light. This means all wavelengths of light are used to
make oxygen except for the green wavelength. One source of error in this experiment
was the results for photosynthesis with light. The foil kept
Women s Oppression In Sports
Sweating Off Oppression A brave girl once said, We cannot all succeed when half
of us are held back (Yousafzai qtd. in Internationally Unrelated ). This quote from
Yousafzai basically describes women s oppression. In sports, women are held back
because they do not have the same opportunities. Women have been oppressed
throughout the history of sports. There are many ways in which female athletes have
been oppressed. Some examples are in the Olympics, in schools, in other countries, in
the U.S, the comparison of male athletes to female and many more. Based on records,
documentaries, articles, etc. of women s sports, it is evident that female athletes are
not treated equally to men by both sports organizations and the general public. The...

sports more equal. Title IX is one way that could help female athlete oppression come
to an end. It has helped many female athletes have more opportunities and these
opportunities have helped female athletes everywhere. The opportunities they are
getting will help increase the amount of female sports and the increase in the sports
will lead to an increase in the amount of female
The Short Story The Birthmark
Bullying is defined as the mistreatment of others, through the abuse of power. The
various forms bullying can take are, physical, verbal and mental abuse. The Short
Story The Birthmark written in 1843, implicates the harsh realities of verbal and
mental abuse. In 1843, society was male dominated, as females were continually
objectified and seen as unimportant. Aylmer abuses this era s maledominance to
tyrannize his wife, Georgiana s, birthmark. At first, she is hesitant as she and other
males see no problem with the scar. As an audience we the strength of being the
ideal wife to your husband, and fulfilling his desires. Aylmer displays his disgust
towards the blemish through verbal ridicule, and harsh convulsions. Her husband
tenderly kissed her cheek her right cheek not that which bore the impress of the
crimson hand (Hawthorne 3) , further demonstrating the extremities at which he is
revolted by the mark she bares, going as far as avoidance. Moreover, his words and
actions display a visible impact upon Georgina, influencing her to take action to
remove the scar. It portrays the mental effects of bullyingon an individual. Bullying is
a topic that has always been associated to as one of the grandest problems of the
educational system. As an adolescent, I was constantly bullied. Fellow peers would
comment on my weight and my style amongst various other things. This had
convinced me that I was the problem. Forth, I took initiative attempting to alter my

Disadvantages Of Costas
Spain is the fourth largest country in Europe and due to its extensive Mediterranean
coastline and mild climate, it offers the discerning tourist a wide variety of resorts
that are guaranteed to please. There is something for everyone, whatever their
specific holiday requirements, but sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts alike
are well catered for. Due to the availability of cheap flights and holiday packages, and
an average of two to three hours flight duration from most northern European airports,
Spaincontinues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations on the planet.
Apart from the Costa Verde (Green Coast), the Costa Vasca in northern Spain, and
The Costa Galicia in the north west, the most popular Spanish coastal resorts for sun
seekers continue along the entire east coast of mainland Spain, stretching from the
French to the Portuguese border. Virtually any of these resorts will be ideal for beach
based holidays, although some are more popular than others depending on proximity
to the regional airport. Originally fishing communities, these areas now derive their
main livelihood from tourism. The Spanish Costas (meaning coasts) often merge into
one another in areas that are highly developed. Going from north to south here is a
brief introduction.
By flying to Girona airport in Catalonia, or Barcelona, beach lovers can discover
many sheltered coves ideal for sunbathing and swimming which have largely
maintained their original character throughout the decades of being a popular
package holiday destination. However, those who desire sandy beaches rather than
pebbly ones may be disappointed. This is the Costa nearest to southern France.
The premier resorts of Lloret de Mar and its quieter neighbour, Tossa del Mar are
located here, Lloret offers great night life to the young and lively set as well as
quality beach time during daylight hours. Amazingly intact medieval castles are
typical of this region so there is plenty to discover for those in search of history and
cultural enrichment. Barcelona is also easily reached if a day trip to the city is
something you wish to do as a change from a day on the beach. Here you can spend a
day discovering the famous Sagrada Familia which is one of the
What Is My Ideal Country Essay
When I picture the ideal society, it is everything that my homeland, Sweden, is
not. Everything that I hate about Sweden, everything that makes me dislike this
country, does not exist there at all. In the land of my dreams, the weather is warm
and the sun is shining at all times. On the days where the sun shines too bright, you
can go for a swim in the turquoise ocean to cool off. That is mainly what I would
like to do after long days of work, just go to the ocean, lie on the beach with white,
fine sand and coconut trees surrounding the premises. There are also many activities
that keeps the visitors entertained, which easily happens when you go to the beach
everyday. There are bouncy castles in the ocean near the beach, you can go surfing,
snorkelling to check out the magnificent sea life and you can also rent a luxurious
boat for as long as you wantfor a vacation on the sea. That really makes it easy to
keep life constantly interesting. One activity that probably is my favorite one, is to
discover all... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This combined with the friendly people and the lovely nature makes this country a
popular tourist destination. The shopping is also a very much appreciated tourist
attraction. The shopping areas in the country can be compared to places like New
York and London. There is also no language barrier for english speakers here since
the mother tongue here is english.
I would like to see my utopia as a combination of Switzerland regarding economy
and infrastructure, Australia or Thailand with its tropical and beautiful nature and
friendly people, and New Yoek with its shopping and city life. These are some of
the countries in the world that I love the most and combined, they are absolutely
perfect. In other words, the country I just described, is a country I would love to
spend the rest of my life

Cosmological Argument Essay

  • 1. Cosmological Argument Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of the Cosmological Argument presents a formidable intellectual challenge. This philosophical argument delves into complex concepts related to the existence and nature of the universe, pushing the boundaries of one's understanding of metaphysics, theology, and epistemology. The task involves navigating through intricate layers of reasoning, engaging with the ideas of influential philosophers such as Aquinas, Leibniz, and others who have contributed to the discourse. The difficulty lies not only in comprehending the nuanced arguments but also in articulating them coherently within the confines of an essay. The writer must grapple with abstract notions like causation, contingency, and necessity, and present a logical progression of ideas that convincingly supports or critiques the Cosmological Argument. Additionally, synthesizing diverse perspectives and addressing potential counterarguments adds another layer of complexity to the task. Moreover, the profundity of the topic requires a keen awareness of the historical and cultural context in which these arguments arose. This demands extensive research to contextualize the philosophical developments and to present a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of cosmological thought. To tackle such a challenging essay, one must possess a strong foundation in philosophical principles, critical thinking skills, and the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. The process involves deep intellectual engagement, careful analysis, and a willingness to grapple with abstract and sometimes elusive concepts. In conclusion, writing an essay on the Cosmological Argument is no small feat. It requires a combination of intellectual rigor, philosophical acumen, and effective communication skills. The endeavor demands dedication, time, and a genuine passion for exploring the fundamental questions about the nature of our existence. • 2. Product Analysis Of AFS Fuels The company I ve selected for this article is AFS Fuels from Britain. My original thought was Raytheon Industries however after further research I found it more difficult to find a specific product and enough information to utilize it for the purposes of this paper. In addition, I found this company far more interesting as they are attempting to create a product that I believe in and feel may help to solve a world crisis that I find very real and urgent. AFS differs extremely from every other firm in the industry. This is not to say they do not have highly competitive competition. This topic will be discussed later in the article. The sole and primary product that they are bringing to market is the creation of fuel from air and water to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The carbon dioxide in the air reacts with some of the sodium hydroxide to form sodium carbonate. This sodium carbonate is then electrolysed to release the carbon dioxide, which is collected and stored. A dehumidifier condenses water out of the same air passed into the tower, with this condensed water then passed into an electrolyser where it is split into hydrogen and oxygen. The carbon dioxide and hydrogren are reacted together to make a hydrocarbon mixture, with reaction conditions varied depending on the kind of fuel required. The product can then be mixed with the same additives used in current fuels to ease starting, burn cleanly and avoid corrosion problems. Otherwise it can be blended directly with gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel. (Gayle, 2012). A small facility for testing needs to be established in place currently is ideal for the R D portion followed by a larger manufacturing plant that can distribute to regional facilities that can deliver to consumers for product launch. The delivery can either be handed by external stakeholders or the company directly. The suggested method would be external rather than internal due in part to adding a client base from the partner for deliveries. After such time, the firm can begin to outsource to other fuel manufacturers after a foothold on the market has been gained. This can be done by way of patents and offering similar plans to the market with
  • 3. The Role Of Guilt In Criminal Law Chapter 2 explains in detail the factors that could lead a person to do one of the most unbelievable things a person could do: to admit guilt for a crime that he/she did not commit, known as a false confession. Police officers are trained to make criminals confess, however, the techniques used by them, such as bluff, excessively long interrogatories, the Reid technique, and the use of false incriminating evidence could make anyone confess, even innocent people. As incredible as this sounds, this is an ongoing issue in the history of criminal law. People who are more at risk to break under this kind of pressure are young, mentally or intellectually impaired, or possess personality traits such as compliance and suggestibility (Perillo, J. T.,
  • 4. Essay On Fibroids In African American Women On the case of vitamin D, women of African American origin tend to be deficient of this vitamin. According to Donna Day Baird Eds (2017), a research conducted on women aged between 35 49 showed that women of the African American origin had a higher percent of women with vitamin D deficiency (90%). The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Uterine Fibroid Study carried out the study. The living conditions of most African Americanwomen are not inviting. It has been observed that African American women tend to procrastinate visiting a gynecologist for fibroids checkup. It is estimated that 32% of women of this race tend to wait about five years to seek medical attention in comparison to 17% of the white women (HealthDay, n.d.). A theory behind waiting is due to the normalization of systems. For example according to Dr. Newsome, having fibroids is almost considered normal among AA women. AA Women develop fibroids at a younger age and have more symptoms and therefore it is difficult to know what is unacceptable or not when your a black girl who s has a 10 day period like your mom, aunts and cousins. These methods, though very crucial and very expensive, require a professional gynecologist who can perform a thorough pelvic exam. The most common method of diagnosis is the ultrasound. This is a method that, as its name suggests, uses sounds of very high frequency to obtain a diagnosis of the uterus. The sounds produced an image of the uterus and which can be observed on a screen. From the screen, the internal organs and the fibroids, if present, can be observed. If the clarity of the images is not good, a transvaginal ultrasound can be used. This is a method that uses a device that is inserted into the vagina to produce clearer images. The proximity of this device to the uterus enables it to produce much clearer images. A third method is an x ray is one of the most common methods of producing images of

If it was ever between losing her job, and something else, she said that her job always comes first. She explained that one of her students was being admitted into the hospital to get psychiatric testing done. She then explained her dilemma that occurred. She stated that the mother of that student had called her and told the teacher that her and her child (the student) wanted her to come down and see them at the hospital. While the teacher did want to go see the student, to see if he was making any progress in his psychiatric testing, there is actually a school policy about the limitations that a teacher can go to see their student outside of the classroom, and that sine the student wasn t in a life or death situation at the hospital, then her visiting was actually going to break that policy. The teacher decided in the end, to go to the principal and tell the principal about the situation and in turn explain about the student and parent wanting her to go see them in the hospital. In the end, the principal decided that it wouldn t be in the best interest of the teacher to do that since there was a policy on it, but that it was okay for her to keep in contact with the parent about the student s progress. In general metacognition in learning is evoked through a clear explanation of the lesson objectives, goals and vision; explanation of the purpose for studying that particular lesson, asking questions and listening to feedback as well as assessing what the students have learnt at the end of each lesson. The effectiveness of the academic language can then be measured by the effective communication and use of technical terms without consequent explanation. The teacher can as well explain the technical terms at the beginning of the lessons then encourage their use by assigning students roles on the same topics later on as the lesson continues. Also, if my teammates or I run a poor time and lose a block position, I have learned that I could not show my frustration towards them because more than likely they feel upset with themselves and don t need any more pressure. In soccer, I learned how important it is for a team to have good chemistry. Every soccer player has a different playing. In, soccer some people are more passing oriented or shooting oriented. Similar, in track some people are more self oriented versus team oriented, and care about their times and not the team as a whole. I have learned how to work with my team and how to remain unified and strong in athletic

Introduction: The human body has various sorts of qualities that control the capacity to taste substances experienced on a regular basis. PTC is a compound powder that perceives the intensity of acidity taste for some individuals, however not all individuals can taste it (Hoffman HJ, etc., 1998). The vicinity of the TAS2R receptor on the tongue situated in chromosome 7 denotes the capacity to taste PTC (Kim Drayna, 2004). The most popular well known strategies to taste PTC is a piece of paper that it is place on people s tongue, and individuals who can t taste the bitterness of the PTC paper are called non tasters , while the individuals who can are called tasters (Lawless, H. 1980).Through various studies it has been found that 15% 30% of individuals are non tasters of PTC; however it has likewise been found that age, race, and sex assume a major part in who tastes and don t taste PTC (Lawless, H. 1980). Sexual orientation has had an extremely intriguing relationship between PTC taster and non tasters as it has been seen that women are more likely to PTC than men (Merritt, R, etc., 2008). FIGURE 1.1: This image shows how the linkage of smell and taste in the human body brain is and does it work. While a great majority of people are dominant in this trait, there are some that can t not taste the acidity that PTC gives (Wooding, S., 2006). It is said that the individuals who can t taste PTC have acquired a Mendelian

Analysis Of Doubt, A Parable By John Patrick Shanley The novel Doubt; A Parable by John Patrick Shanley, creates doubts and mystery in readers minds that have us turning the pages, curious of what will happen next. Doubt creates a lot of different opinions and perspectives, and raises a lot of important discussions. You see that values play a big part in the way that we think, and the way that we see others. It blocks our perspective on people, and makes things seem very one sided, in order to live life to it s fullest potential you need to not just look at your own beliefs but others as well. It creates doubt in readers minds whether or not Father Flynn is guilty by showing us different sides of characters and making us feel uncertain about our beliefs. In the novel, Shanley reveals the differences between the characters, of Sister Aloysius who is the stern traditionalist, the complete opposite of Father Flynn who is a very fun, kind, and a progressive person. Sister Aloysius thinks that Father Flynn s ways of living life are very strange and is appalled by his habits, because she feels very nervous and threatened that Father Flynn will take over the church, and tradition will leave the system. Sister Aloysius likes to have her own specific list of beliefs, and traditions, so when she sees Father Flynn s long fingernails, and the amount of sugars he puts in his tea, she becomes outraged, shocked, and appalled by the ways that he enjoys living his life. Sister Aloysius says: Your fingernails. Father Flynn replies

A titration is a laboratory method used to determine the concentration of an acid or a base in a solution by performing a neutralization reaction with a standard solution. It detects the equivalence point between the acidand basewhere they neutralize each other. The materials used in this procedure were HCL solution, water, ring stand, burette, burette clamp, unknown concentration of NaOH, phenolphthalein, erlenmeyer flask, and graduated cylinder. To start the procedure, obtain a burette, and rinse the burette with water and check if the burette is able to release the solution. Next the ring stand must ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Trial two started with 0 mL of NaOH and ended at 17.3 mL. On trial three NaOH started at 0 mL and it ended at 21.5 mL. The molarity of HCL was 0.1 M and its volume was 20 mL. The average of sodium hydroxide used was 19 mL. Using the dilution equation, 0.1 M of hydrochloric acid multiplied by 20 mL of hydrochloric acid is 2. Taking 2 divided by 19 mL of sodium hydroxide gives 0.105 M as the molarity for NaOH. The calculated unknown molarity of NaOH was 0.105 M. This compares to the known theoretical molarity of NaOH which was 0.1 M. The molarity of sodium hydroxide from the experiment is close to its theoretical hydroxide meaning the results of the experiment were accurate. The final volumes of NaOH were also close to each other therefore the results were both accurate and precise. Hydrochloric acid is an example of an strong acid and sodium hydroxide is an example of a strong base. When a strong acid and a strong base react, the neutralize each other. Carrying out a titration between a strong acid and a strong base is done to find the equivalence point. Hmong clan names are equivalent to American last names. First names identify people and last names identify clans. The 18 clans provide life time membership and ongoing material and spiritual support to their members from birth to death. Newborns are given the father s clan name, which they cannot change. For that reason, Hmong women retain their clan name when they get married (Moua, 1995). The foundation of Hmong life is marriage and family (Millett, 2002). An ancient ritual requires the groom to pay a bride price, a negotiated sum of money paid to the bride s parents. Hmong newlyweds live with the husband s parents until they have two or more children. However, Hmong culture expects the last born married son, his wife, and children to permanently live with, support, and care for his parents and grandparents until their death. Unfortunately, time honored Hmong traditions are challenged by American culture. For example, there is conflict between Hmong Christians and Hmong Animists. Animists sacrifice animals to worship spirits; they believe that all living things have spirits (Brittan, 1997). Hmong Christians worship God and condemn animal sacrifice. As a result, Christianity altered traditional Hmong rituals and ceremonies. For instance, Christianity eliminated the payment of a bride price

In Henrik Ibsen s A Doll s House, Nora s departure becomes the controversial topic of debate for many readers; was Nora Helmer justified in leaving her husband and kids or not? It is argued that both parents are needed for a child to succeed in life and that separation is an act of cowardness. However, several readers also debate that Nora was justified in leaving Torvald and her kids. Once again, the audience gets surprised as it is usually the detective who solves the mystery and presents it to the audience at the end of the film. In this case however, Abogast is merely a stepping stone for Sam, Marion s boyfriend and Lila, Marion s sister. He does the majority of the work and leaves enough clues for Lila and Sam to continue his job. Normal body core temperature is typically around 37 В°C, staying within a functional range of 35 to 41 В°C. It has been found that power output and speed of cyclists decreased during hot conditions. • 30. California Prison System The California prison system was created in response to the increased amount of criminal activity that sparked during the Gold Rush years. Prior to the Gold Rush, California had prided itself on being a land of health, beauty, and opportunity (Bookspan, xviii). However, immigration and population growth surged, especially amongst foreign convicts and aliens , resulting in increased crime. At first, it was decided that punishment for small crimes would be a beating by whip while punishment for serious crimes, like robbery or murder, would be hanging (Kidport). After becoming a state in 1850, the California governor John McDougal reacted to this method of punishment by beginning what is known as the California PrisonSystem. The first prison within California was San Quentin, which began to receive inmates in 1854, next was Folsom State Prison in 1880, then California Correctional Institution in 1933, California Institution for Men in 1941, and California Institute for Women in 1952 as well as multiple California state prisons that have opened since then in cities such as San Diego, Sacramento, Chowchilla, Avenal, Corcoran, Susanville, Vacaville, Crescent City, and many more (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation). The early California prison systems were very much influenced by the Auburn prison system, from the Auburn Correctional Facility in Auburn, New York. This system imposed solitary confinement to silence prisoners and promote meditations, but still

It is very important to know what experience and skillset a candidate brings with them when joining an organization. Individuals with higher degrees, received from premier colleges demonstrate commitment through their qualifications. (McDonald, 2012) 2.Position Matching. At the start of the drama, everything appears hunky dory as every individual has a higher expectation of the Baths to generate a lot of money for the town. He emphasizes that if there is nothing that is done to restore the situation, the water that is meant to heal the people will instead make them sick (Ibsen 17). Upon this discovery, all the supposed friends of Dr. Stockman congratulate him and praise him calling him a hero. All this is happening during the initial situation before the conflict is reached. Plants have four pigments that were tested in this exercise called carotenoids such as carotenes/xanthophyll, also pigments chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b. The other table describes the rate of photosynthesis and gross photosynthesis of green /white light. The table for green/white light was measured with accuracy with a volumeter tube. By analyzing the data, it can be confirmed that green light did not perform photosynthesis as fast as white light and white light performed photosynthesis creating oxygen more rapidly than the tube that had no light. Discussion: The second hypothesis on the rate of photosynthesis (green/white light) was correct because the data in the table above states that the rate of photosynthesis (which was measured in volumeters) was higher in the tube that was exposed to white light. The green light produced much slower rate results for photosynthesis because the color was not really absorbed very well. Plants use all colors of light to use photosynthesis except for green light. This means all wavelengths of light are used to make oxygen except for the green wavelength. One source of error in this experiment was the results for photosynthesis with light. The foil kept
