several reasons. Firstly, there's the ethical consideration surrounding the act of purchasing
academic work. Exploring the various perspectives on the morality of buying essays online

student and the educational institution.
Additionally, delving into the practical aspects involves navigating a myriad of online platforms

2. Examples Of Livelihood Problems In Poverty And Poverty
Most people with disabilities in Zimbabwe engage in some kind of self help projects
that generate very little income which is estimated at around $10 per month in
average and is too little to sustain even the most basic requirements. This means that
the majority of people with disabilities live in absolute povertyin econometric terms
and is in line with Yeo s (2005) claim that disabilityand poverty are inextricably
linked. However, what is encouraging to note is the fact that, most people with
disabilities exercise their agency by choosing the type of income generating
activities and this is usually what they consider manageable in light of their
disability. The way people with disabilities choose their income generating activities
is in line with notions expressed by Mersland (2005) who posits that people with
disabilities engage in self help projects due to the need for flexibility according to
their impairments and the need to deal with exclusion in the economic sector.
Small scale farming and market gardening emerged as the most used livelihood
strategies amongst people with disabilities despite the lack of support and inhibiting
environment discussed in the following chapter. The livelihood strategies cannot be
said to be sustainable as they are done at a subsistence level due to poor rainfall
patterns, over used soils, lack of agricultural inputs and restricted market among
other factors. This is in line with the ideas of (Ellis, 2000; Bryceson, 2002; Rigg,

3. Psychoanalytic Theory Of Sigmund Freud
Week 3 Essay
First or Foundation A Look into the Psychoanalytic Theory of Sigmund Freud
David Haygood
Talladega College
Applied Psychology 202
7/7/2017
Abstract The psychoanalytic theory by Sigmund Freud has always been argued to be
one of the most controversial theories in the school of psychology. Critics have
questioned how relevant the perspective of Freud is due to the fact that it holds no
scientific basis. Sigmund Freud s psychoanalytic theory of personality argues that
human behavior is the result of the interactions among three component parts of the
mind: the id, ego, and superego. This theory, known as Freud s structural theory of
personality, places great emphasis on the role of unconscious psychological ... Show

Even though Freud s family had limited finances and were forced to live in a
crowded apartment, his parents made every effort to foster his obvious intellectual
capacities. In 1881 Freud received his doctorate and started work under Jean Martin
Charcot (Rana 97). Freud practiced and observed hypnosis as a clinical technique,
and began to formulate the beginnings of his theory on the mind. There were no
unusual aspects to Freuds childhood that seem to guide him in his rationing of
thinking for his theories. Freuds parents realized that he would be a scholarly child
and tried to accommodate him with a solid education. Freud believed that the human
personality consisted of three interworking parts: the id, the ego, and the superego.
The id, the largest part of the mind, is related to desires and impulses and is the
main source of basic biological needs. The ego is related to reasoning and is the
conscious, rational part of the personality; it monitors behavior in order to satisfy
basic desires without suffering negative consequences (Boundless.com). The
superego, or conscience, develops through interactions with others (mainly parents)
who want the child to conform to the norms of society (Boundless.com). Freud
believed that our adult lives were shaped by childhood experiences, meaning that if
children did not receive the proper nurturing, that the child would be stuck in that
stage or behaviors
4. Comparison Of Ethos And Pathos In Advertising
In today s age, advertisements are found in almost every situation. These
advertisements are found in a multitude of different places, including places such as
billboards, newspapers, and on the television. Advertisements are most successful if
they incorporate ethos, pathos, and logos into the message they are trying to present.
Ethos is the credibility of an advertisement, pathosis the emotional appealof an
advertisement, and logos is the logic found in the advertisement. This paper will
show the similarities and differences in pathos, logos, and ethos found in two
separate Budweiser advertisements.
Ethos, pathos, and logos are all rhetorical appeals, meaning that they are used to assist
the speaker or writer in harnessing rhetoric. Clark (2016) considers rhetoric as a tool
meant for persuasion as well as for creating effective arguments. Rhetoric became
extremely popular during the golden age of Greece, and most elite young men in
Greek city states such as Athens were trained to utilize rhetoric to their fullest
abilities (Clark, 2016). Plato, an ancient Greek philosopher, believed that rhetoricians
those who used rhetoric to influence and sway opinions used rhetoric irresponsibly
(Clark, 2016). Rhetoric certainly did not die out with the passing of time and is still
found in today s modern era.
Of these three appeals, pathos is the most prevalent in both advertisements. An
inherent form of pathos in the Budweiser commercial was the relationship between a
puppy and

Effectiveness of the Tory and Whig Arguments Prior to the American Revolution In
the eighteenth century, the American Revolution played a vital role in determining
the future of the American colonies. Prior to the Revolution, propagandas from both
the Tories and Whigs influenced the choices that Americans make. Both sides
exchanged attacks and accusations in their publications, while also presenting
realistic evidence and logical reasoning to back their doctrine and arguments. Two of
the many documents preceding the Revolution are especially interesting in terms of
their structure of presentation. Letters of a Westchester Farmer, composed by
Reverend Samuel Seabury, offers arguments favouring... Show more content on

He then provides logical reasons for his claims throughout the document, focusing on
the issue of those agreements. This structure is extremely effective, given that the
arguments are sequential and connected. Likewise, Common Sense has a similar
structure that also creates a comparatively same degree of effectiveness. The
document first proposes its doctrine, ...as much hath been said of the advantages of
reconciliation, which, like an agreeable dream, hath passed away..., [3] and then
answers each of the charges the Tories make. Unlike the structure of the earlier
document, Common Sense poses a question or an accusation from the Tories, and
rebuts it with the Whigs doctrine and Paine s reasoning. The structure of this
document is more effective in terms of impact. As in the earlier document, the
reverend does not counter Whigs view, but only express his opinions about them.
Contrary, this document offers a scope of the Tories point, and persuades the
Americans that the Whigs view is more logical by comparing the two sides. In short,
Common Sense is more effective than the Letters of a Westchester Farmer in terms of
structure, due to its more comprehensive reasoning behind the doctrines. Besides the
structure, the validity
6. Breastfeeding And Infant Formula
The best way to feed an infant is breastfeeding but if choosing to formula feed and
infant formula close to the components of breast milk is the best choice. Infant
formula has significantly improved over the last twenty years and manufactures
ultimate goal through research and development is to match the composition of
breast milk. The main ingredient to be aware of in infantformula is protein
composition. Protein is a key component in breast milk and is a key nutrient for the
infant especially in the first six months. The protein component of breast milk
changes over time to facilitate the growth of the infant. Protein is the most important
nutrient for the infant s growth, health and development, and protein quality and

7. Twelfth Night Comparative Essay
The recurring themes in Shakespeare s comedies are gender identity, social order,
politics, and transformation. The characters in his comedies range from the very
basic, such as Katherine and Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew, to more complex
characters, like Feste in Twelfth Night. The three films, Taming of the Shrew, Much
Ado About Nothingand Twelfth Night are very diverse in the handling of these
themes and the characters of the plays. This diversity of theme and characters is
owed to the films directors, Franco Zeffirelli, Kenneth Branagh, Joss Whedon and
Trevor Nunn. The directors give a different perspective to Shakespeare s actual text
and we, as the audience, see Shakespeare s characters differently because of the film
medium and theses directors vision.

She writes, perspective staging reproduces through illusion and the depth of field
the holding and closing the audience s eye brings the illusion to the audience of
joining the characters on stage (155). Belsey s analysis of this vanishing point
explains Branagh s opening scene in Much Ado About Nothing is a painting that
eventually fades to an actual hillside where the play begins and Beatrice is reading
poetry to the assembled picnickers. We, as the audience, go from being an observer
to being involved in the story. In the Twelfth Night, Nunn employs a different
technique as he switches between scenes of his actors to create parallels in action
and characters. For example, when Malvolio is prattling on in the dungeon saying
he is not mad, and Sebastian in the house wondering if he has gone mad because
Olivia is so taken with him and she is a stranger to him. In this instance, Nunn s
shifting of scenes in the film gives the audience context to Shakespeare s complex
8. The Changing Face of Children s Literature
Children s literature is always changing. It has evolved greatly over the generations.
Children did not have their own stories in ancient times. Instead, they listened to oral
storytellers who would recite stories I tended for adults to hear. Over time it became
apparent that children needed there own stories. Moral stories and educational
writing started to be written with children in mind. As printed books for children
became more accessible, stories started to focus on entertaining children as well as
educating them.
Today, children s literature has stories that are focused on children and offer real life
views and vivid fantasy alike. Children s literature has progressed from simply oral
folktales to the child focused stories we see today. All literature started with
storytelling. Our ancestors told stories for comfort, instruction, entertainment and to
teach their culture and religion. Storytelling has been a huge part of cultures all
around the world. In ancient times, there was no difference between children s
literature and adult literature. Children listened to the same stories that their parents
listened to.
Defining what children s literature is seems like an easy task at first. However, it is
really not as simple as it sounds. What is literature for children? If a book is written
with children in mind is it still considered a children s book if adults read it?
Likewise, is a book intended for adults still and adult s book of it is read and enjoyed

9. The Value Of Children Engaging With Their Local...
The value of children engaging with their local environment and using real locations
provides a learning experience in a real, known context that engages and motivates.
The project, having an authentic audience, provides a purpose to their learning with
outcomes that uses skills and knowledge learnt in a real context. Rogers suggests that
children are leading learningand having control over it when undertaking a project
such as designing a leaflet to improve a local area. He also suggests that they
develop teamwork and collaboration when making the leaflet as a group.
In any locality, there is always opportunity to identify appropriate places, spaces and
people to draw upon for primary geography and the National Curriculum suggests
that primary geography should inspire a curiosity and fascination about the world
and its people...deepen understanding of the interaction between physical and human
processes, and of the formation and use of landscapes and environments (DfE,
2013:1). Pupils should be taught locational knowledge as well as place knowledge
and this is essential in ensuring that children have a wider understanding of their
local environment and the wider world. Pupils should experience first hand
observation, enabling them to enhance their locational awareness. Improving their
knowledge and expertise in order to relate to the topic and dilemmas as well as
benefits that will be apparent when completing a project using geography to improve
an area. An example of a
10. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the demographic...
The demographic transition model describes how the population of a country changes
over time. It gives changes in birth rates and death rates, and shows that countries
pass through five different stages of population change (Stage one High fluctuation,
Stage two Early expanding, Stage three Late expanding, Stage four Low fluctuating
and Stage five Decline) The demographic transition model has both strengths and
weaknesses for example some strengths would include that the demographic
transition model is a universal concept, therefore being able to be applied to every
country in the world, Another strength would be that the model shows a change over
time and can be seen as a predictor, with the expectation that every country... Show

It also shows change over time and can also shows change over time and can be
used as a head start point for discussion about how to help LEDCs to develop.
However the Demographic Transition model also has its weaknesses some weakness
would include the fact that the demographic transition model does not include the
role of the government, some governments may put antenatal and prenatal operations
in place to encourage the decrease or to increase the birth rate within these
countries, therefore countries like China that are antenatal and have the one child
policy put in place and countries like the UK which are prenatal and offer child
benefits may show fluctuation of the birth rate in stages it should be decreasing or
increasing in. Further more In stage four, the UK experienced a post war baby boom
where the birth rate should be steadily decreasing this shows that the demographic
transition model does not include the impacts of wars, natural hazards or migration
either. In addition another weakness would be that it is Eurocentric based and
therefore is assuming that all other countries in the world will follow the European
sequence of economic changes
11. Short Story The Sniper
In reality, one will never know who the true enemy is until one kills. In the plot
twisting short story The Sniper, by Liam O Flaherty, a republican sniper faces an
enemy which later discovers it is his own brother. The republican sniper soon finds
the truth of how the enemy was such a good shot. The theme of this story is one can
never be sure of the enemy. The snipers curiosity leads to realizing who caused the
death of his brother. The enemy shoots at the republican sniper and it hits his
forearm, therefore his arm is not capable of doing was has to be done. The sniper
kills the enemy, not realizing it until curiosity leads to the truth, that it was his
brother who he murdered. Don t ever assume the person firing towards oneself is the
enemy because it could lead to disaster. The republican sniper is concentrating on the
enemy. The enemy is focusing on the republican. The only objective is to kill. Both
want to survive this war. This civil war is between republicans and free staters.
Suddenly, there was a flash and a bullet whizzed over his head. He dropped
immediately. He had seen the flash. It came from the opposite side of the street (O
Flaherty 1). The enemy missed. The republican was terrified, there was nothing to be
seen just the dim outline of the opposite housetop against the blue sky. His enemy
was under cover (O Flaherty 1). Suddenly, another shot was fired. It penetrated the
republican, it hits his forearm.

12. Differences And Comparison Of A Discourse Community
A discourse community is a group of people that share a set of values and goals.
Members of a discourse community have their own way of communicating within the
group and with the public. Although the communities may differ in subject matter
and appearance, they do share varying levels of similarities. The three discourse
community that we will be focusing on are: art, research biology and finance:
specifically, the financial service sector. Furthermore, we will be comparing the three
discourse communities on: similarities among all the groups, similarities between
each group and the differences among all three. As stated in the preceding paragraph,
all three discourse communities share surprising similarities. They include:
intercommunication within the community, common public goals, methods of
information, dispersion, critic, development of goals, and levels of members with
relevant discourse expertise.

When it comes to specific discourse communities, many have a preferred way of
communicating. For example, in the art community, emails are used more frequently
than phone calls. Simply because it is more convenient for many artists to email than
to call other occupied artists. Like the art community, emails are means of
communication in the financial service sector, other channels of communication
comprise of: teleconferencing (webinars, Skype), written communication, Instant
messaging, texting and computer conferencing. The type of communication
implemented varies based on the richness (the amount of information available in a
given channel), control (the degree to which the communication process can be
managed) and speed (the quickness a message exchange occurs). Intercommunication
is an integral part of discourse communities since it allows people in a similar
profession to communicate
13. Paper On Multiverse Theory
The Multiverse Theory
Have you ever wondered about other universes? Lots of people have and this is
known as the multiverse theory. This paper is about that exact topic. Lots of religions
believe and even teach about the multiverse like Buddhism and Islam. There is
scientific evidence of the multiverse. There is an infinite number of things that could
be in other universes. The multiverse theory is completely plausible and it is most
likely real.
The Multiverse Theory sprung up in multiple places simultaneously. The first person
that people usually think about is Hugh Everett. He came up with the theory in
Princeton University, New Jersey. Many philosophers started thinking about this

One could be the end of a big bounce. Another way is that after a while black holes
could take over and expand to be bigger than anything else. A popular one is the big
rip theory. This would happen as the universe progressively tears itself apart as it
expands. Eventually there becomes a big rip in the fabric of space time and
everything could cease to exist. Everything could also heat up and burn everything
in the whole universe. This would be because of Hawking radiation. Another
ending could be a massive ice age. This ice age would last forever. Everything
would freeze and everything would die. A good one is that the universe could grow
too big and collapse into itself and everything would be crushed. Singularities are
amazing things to read about. First of all they spawn when a star dies and then form
a black hole. Another thing is that they have no physical laws. They are at the center
of a black hole and are what causes the black holed immense gravitational pull. They
cause this amount of force because they are infinitely dense and infinitely small. They
have an infinite number of atoms. Even though they have more atoms then all of this

14. Group Identity Formation
Where previously I discussed several issues of personal identity formation, I now
must discuss some important aspects of group identity, which is vital to any further
discussion of collective trauma, group narratives, or social memory. Just as I claimed
that individual identity is a socially efficient, shorthand representation of the complex
and contradictory totality of a person, or the self, a skimming through the
Silmarillion of ourselves, so too is the group a symbolic creation to represent an
assemblage of people. This is not to dismiss individual or group identities, nor to say
that identities are not real. Symbols and symbolic creations are extremely powerful,
solidifying social groups, orienting the future for individuals and communities,...

Within any group, members will also belong to any number of additional groups. As
we become a more globalized world with increasing international communication,
trade, and migration, the heterogeneity of a community, whether we speak of a
metropolitan area, a region, or a nation, also increases. Further, the complex number
of roles assumed by any given person in a society increases heterogeneity of
individuals within any particular group and as membership changes and members
personally diversify, so too will the nature of the group s identity. The ongoing
process of constructing and reconstructing group identity is not without
consequences, as every identity implies and at the same time masks a particular
relationship (Gillis

Intuit is a multinational corporation that provides products and services for both
business and personal financial solutions. The Intuit name is well known throughout

Wricke, 1998).
QuickBooks
Intuit s QuickBooks product line is a staple of American small business finance and
continues to expand; worldwide via QuickBooks Online, accountant channels with
QuickBooks Accountant s edition, and into the payment market with QuickBooks
Point of Sale and Merchant Servicing. The QuickBooks product line is sold from
many channels; direct from Intuit, major retailers, discount retailers like Sam s Club
and Costco, independent resellers, and QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified accountants.
With such a diverse product depth, varied market segmentations, and multichannel
distribution chain, a pricing strategy can be more difficult but rewarding in reaching
and retaining more customers (Sotgiu, Ancarani, 2004). QuickBooks. Intuit utilizes a
value based pricing strategy with discounts for direct sales of the QuickBooks
accounting software product line. Similar to the TurboTax lineup, QuickBooks has
increased pricing for increased complexity of business needs and add on features
available at the time of purchase or later.

The movie The Life of Pi is an interesting movie, and a movie I think is very good
for people who are curious about life in general. Pi, the main character ends up
alone in the middle of the ocean on a very small boat after the ship his family was
on sunk during the middle of a severe storm. Pi ended up on the boat with a tiger,
zebra, orangutan, and a hyena. Throughout the movie Pi discovers himself, as he
sails across the sea and eventually ends up on an island where a few people find

His dad however isn t exactly on his side and gives Pi some tough love but overall

Approximately 300,000 child soldiers are actively serving in military forces, terrorist
organizations, and gangs. In 1993 and at the age of 13, Ishmael Beah was forced into

language to support the theme that the capacity for true evil is present in everyone if
they are given apt incentive.
Ishmael Beah uses metaphors in A Long Way Gone to reinstate the overarching

was unable to speak. His lips trembled, but he couldn t get a word out. The rebel
pulled the trigger, and like lightning, I saw the spark of fire that came from the

people are truly inhumane in their ways. However, previously in the page, they
were described as teenagers around the age of Ishmael, his brother, and their
friends. The Rebel United Front child soldiers were torturous to the old man
before they killed him. They were cold and showed no emotion, informing the
reader that they had done this many, many times before. This would never had
happen previous to the war in Sierra Leone. This is shown by the quote, Before the
war a young man wouldn t have dared to talk to anyone older in such a rude
manner. We grew up in a culture that demanded good behaviour from everyone,
and especially from the young. Young people were required to respect their elders
and everyone in the community (Beah 33). This shows how previous to the war
children were respectful to all and because of the war, they are able to commit the
worst crimes. Therefore, the young age of these boys and their terrifying savagery
shows how anyone is capable of evil. On other paths of the village were the half
burnt remains of those who had fought fiercely to free themselves, only to die
outside. They lay on the ground in different postures of pain, some reaching for their
heads, the white bones in their jaws visible, others curled up like a child in a womb,
frozen (Beah 94 95). This quote shows the atrocities that the young children are able
to commit because of their horrible circumstances. This is reinforced later

still managing the symptoms of a concussion. We are writing to you today to address
another topic of investigation, Transylvania University s Return to Learn policy.
Upon assessing the existing Return to Learn policy, we have noticed some positive
qualities in this policy. However, there are areas that could be strengthened in order to
better educate and serve the faculty and students of Transylvania University.
To begin, we would like to acknowledge the many positive aspects of Transy s
current Return to Learn policy. As a class, we analyzed the NCAA s Return to Learn

We noticed differences between how a concussion is handled when it concerns
student athletes versus non student athletes. Concerning athletes, when one receives a
head injury, they are evaluated on site for a concussion by an athletic trainer. From
there, it is up to the athletic trainers to report the case to disability services. For non
student athletes, upon receiving a head injury, a note is required from a medical
professional, such as an off campus doctor, before they can register with disability
services. If there is a delay in receiving medical treatment, there will also be a delay
for the necessary help to recover. While the disability services office certainly does
need medical proof of a concussion so that they can offer the best treatment possible,
this does put an extra burden on concussed non student

Accounting...
This is the first type of accounting system. It utilizes paper based journals and ledgers.
Nowadays, Computer based transaction systems replaced some paper records into
computer records. Manual system is labor intensive for this system relies on human
processing. Because manual system relies on human processing, they may be prone
to error. Organizations employ multiple forms of information technology in their
accounting information system. Because of the advancements in information
technology computerbased transaction system were created. In this system,
accounting data are kept separately from other operating data. At this point, there is a
greater degree of compartmentalization of work in order to preserve the integrity of
accounting information... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

simple accounting package might also contain one module or also referred to as stand

this are the Quick Books and Peachtree. This system reduces inefficiencies and
information redundancies. Relational database systems such as enterprise resource
planning (ERP) depart from the accounting equation method of organizing data. This
system captures both financial and non financial data, and then it stores that
information in the data warehouse. The advantages of this system include recognition
of business rather than just accounting events; the support in the reduction in
operating inefficiencies and; the elimination of data redundancy. For an accounting

22. Current Customer Value Proposition Of Suncoast Hotel s (...
Evaluating STDP
Current Customer Value Proposition
SunCoast Hotel s (SCH) current Customer Value Proposition is lacking and does not
effectively provide a clear image of value in the minds of its customers. SunCoast s
management would like the hotel to be a hotspot for business conventions and world
travelers, yet most of its current selling points paint SunCoast as a luxurious vacation
spot. SCH needs to better differentiate itself in the resort industry in order to create a
defined value proposition. Management appears to have a clear idea for what they
would like the SunCoast brand to represent, but the current state of SCH does not
offer a clear value to customers. The new project would greatly help to differentiate
the resort, and align the wishes of management with the advantages the hotel could
provide.
For example, Joan Mack s desire for full service concierge employees would do
well to maximize the value of SCH s proximity to Orlando. The potentially expanded
convention hall would also be a strong signal to potential customers that SunCoast s
differentiable advantage lies in its ability to combine the ability to host conventions
with beach front luxury. With its current amenities, however, SunCoast is struggling
to differentiate itself from standard luxury beach resorts. As management tries to
stay away from the simple vacation spot label, SCH would do well to consider the
new project as a way to clearly define the value the resort brings to customers.
23. Rhetorical Analysis Of Taco Usa
Writing rhetorically is often a hard task for writers to do, it s also one of the best
ways for the people reading your work to understand visually the message you are
trying to describe to them. When writing in general the best thing you can do for
the readers of your work is to describe the visual elements for them in a fun and
intuitive matter. And Gustavo Arellano the author of Taco USA: How Mexican
Food Became More American Than Apple Pie did exactly that. His use of different
visual elements throughout the story was very well done and added a lot of great
qualities to the text itself. Examples of Arellano s use of visual elements are even
in the titles of each of his different story headings. Arellano s titles are not only
clever, they also add a great insight into what the next section of his overall paper is
going to be about. The first section of his paper is titled Imperialism And
Enchiladas . And it s a great section about how Mexican food changed America
forever. Within the first few paragraphs of this section Arellano not only describes
the setting of his work he also jumps right into the main topic that he will be
discussing, Mexican food. Arellano coming from Hispanic heritage himself grew up
eating and loving Mexican food. So when he traveled to South Dakota in the middle
of the United States, he was greatly surprised to find out that google maps found four
Mexican restaurants in one city. But he was even more surprised to find how many
locals enjoyed these restaurants and how Americanized the food was. He described
his astonishment when he tried his first Potato Oles from fast food giant Taco Johns.
They were Stuffed into a breakfast burrito, nacho cheese sauce slowing oozing out
from the bottom of the flour tortilla. There is nothing remotely Mexican about Potato
Oles not even the quasi Spanish name. And it s with this creative and insightful
description that we learn that the author really knows his stuff when it comes to true
Mexican cuisine. Arellano s use of descriptive detail is what made his article so
appealing to all of his readers. He does such a great job of listing specific examples
while also providing a vast number of details. One of the most noticeable

Nascar History
Nascar History
NASCAR is one of the most rapidly growing sports in the world. There are people
who think that NASCAR is just a bunch of hicks going around in circles, but it
takes skill to drive at two hundred miles per hour. I am going to talk about the
history of NASCAR, early drivers of NASCAR, the three NASCAR divisions, the
rules, and the new technology. Two of NASCAR s oldest races are the ones that are
at Charlotte, North Carolina and Daytona international Speedways. Charlotte Motor
Speedway was designed and built in 1959 by Bruton Smith. Curtis Turner, stock car
s earliest driving star, was Smith s business partner. Turner became one of the first

Sprint Cup Series cars are unique in automobile racing. The engines are powerful
enough to reach speeds of over 200 mph (320 km/h), but heavy weight coupled
with a (relatively) simple aerodynamic package makes for poor handling. Their
bodies and chassis are strictly regulated to ensure parity or equality, and electronics
are generally Spartan in nature. The idea for the Truck Series dates back to 1993.
A group of off road racers (Dick Landfield, Jimmy Smith, Jim Venable, and Frank
Scoop Vessels) wanted a bigger audience for truck racing. They made a prototype
for a NASCAR style pickup truck. These were first shown off during the 1994
Daytona 500, and four demonstration races were held during the season. The first
event at Mesa Marin Raceway had six trucks. The other three events were held at
Portland Speedway, Saugus Speedway, and Tucson Raceway Park. Tucson
Raceway Park held four events that winter, which were nationally televised during
the Winter Heat Series coverage. These trucks proved to be extremely popular, and
it led to NASCAR creating the series, originally known as the Super Truck Series in
1995.
The rules of NASACAR changed a lot in the years since NASCAR started. The
rules kept changing due to advancement in technology, which meant different rules
for safety. Some of the rules today are that NASCAR allows bump drafting (helps
drivers conserve gas) on restrictor plate tracks, no speeding on entrance or exit of pit
25. Essay on Divergent Viewpoints
The nature of conflicting perspectives is to explore differing values and ideas,
through the representation of the events, people and situations, which in some way
impact on the composer and the reader. Composers often manipulate their
representations for their own purpose and these conflicting perspectives exist because
of the eternal subjectivity of composers. Hughes 20th century confessional poems,
Fulbright Scholars and Your Paris offers a perspective on his tempestuous relationship
with Plath, persuading the reader that he was the victim suffocating under Plath s
mental instability. Similarly, George Clooney s (2005) American dramatic film, Good
Night and Good Luck , in conjunction with Hughes poetry demonstrates how the...

The use of ironic imagery discharges an emotive, personal tone which in turn
persuades the reader to empathise with Hughes as he was dumbfounded afresh by
Plath.
Consequently, individuals can be selective in their choices when representing a
person, event or situation and omit key elements, controlling the response of the
responder. Similar to how Hughes anthology, Birthday Letters , expressed through
inherent subjectivity, George Clooney s 1950 s era, Good Night and Good Luck,
echoes this as he represents this idea through the media. Through filmic devices,
Clooney explores the tension between the perspectives of reporters at CBS and
Senator Joseph McCarthy in viewing McCarthy s actions as he, takes charge... of
Communist infiltration . Just as Hughes relationship with Plath raised questions from
public opinion, but he dismisses their viewpoints through his emotional poetry.
Clooney uses Edward R. Murrow to expose Senator McCarthy as a fear monger of
communism in his television segment, See it Now , as he presents his story from a
low angle shot. This presents Murrow in a powerful position as he uses the media to
announce his perspective on McCarthy to the citizens of America. As he addresses
the story about a man.. Regarded as a security risk.. If associated with Communists .
Additionally, it seems to us... Myself.. That this is a subject that should be argued

fighter, Adonis went through challenges. Even though Adonis faces challenges in
life, he overcomes them because he never gives up.
In order to achieve our goal, we should never be afraid to take challenges. In the
movie, Adonis does not want to use Creed this name because people will compare
him with his father Apollo Creed. He is so scared that he is not able to make it and it
will disgrace his father. Nonetheless, he wants to build his own legacy by using the
name Johnson without relying on the popularity of his father. He is not only
suffering with the burden that others gave him, but also the pressure that he gives to
27. Hate Speech Stereotypes
According to the new FBI numbers, 47 percent of hate crimes in 2014 were
motivated by race, over 20 percent by anti LGBT animus, and approaching 19
percent by religion (Potok 2). The use of hate speech leads to imminent hate crimes,
especially when such speech is ramped within politics. Hate speech should be seen
as a precursor to more serious crimesand violence because hate speechcauses society
to be more accepting toward certain violent behaviors and hate speech allows for
negative stereotypes to be used against marginalized groups of people.
First, the constant use of hate speech allows society to become immune and more
accepting toward violence. Last August, a 58 year old homeless Latino man was

During Trump s speech announcing his presidential bid back in June, Trump said,
When Mexico sends its people, they re not sending their best... They re brining
drugs. They re brining crime. They re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people,
according to CNN (Zaru 1). More importantly, Trump caters to the idea that
Mexicans are criminals who are only known for stealing American jobs and taking
money from Americans. According to the 2010 Census data, less educated native
born men age 18 39 had an incarceration rate of 10.7 percent, which is more than
triple the 2.8 percent rate among foreign born Mexican men, and five times greater
than the 1.7 percent rate among foreign born Salvadoran and Guatemalan men
(Ewing et al. 1). Therefore, the assumptions and fallacies Donald Trump, along with
many other GOP presidential candidates spew about Mexicans and illegal
immigrants, is far from the truth, seeing as native born men are more likely to
commit crimes than immigrants. According to the Washington Post, former GOP
presidential candidate Ben Carson suggested that Muslims might be dangerous, and
even compared Muslim Syrian refugees to dogs, saying, If there s a rabid dog
running around in your neighborhood, you re probably not going to assume
something good about that dog. It doesn t mean you hate all dogs, but you re putting
your intellect into motion (Ehrenfreund 4). Subsequently, after terrorist attacks in

The year of 1914 marked the beginning of World War I and the commencement of a
tumultuous era for politics, society and art. Amongst the considerable number of
people negatively affected by the dreadfulness of the war, many of them found
different ways of expressing their repugnance towards the horrific routes that
humanity had taken. The Dadamovement in particular began not only as a reaction
against the war but also as a commentary on the social circumstances that lead to it.
This essay reflects on the context that allowed the art movement to flourish and the
circumstances that lead to its decline. The rise of machinery, mass production,
fascism and overall disillusionment with society provided an ideal environment for
radical movements to emerge.
The First World War was one of the greatest military conflicts to be observed in
recent history, happening during a time when humanity was rapidly advancing, to
the point that it seemed unlikely for society to fall in such disarray s quickly. Most
people were astonished by this decline and it stirred a certain sense of antipathy in
the general public, antipathy towards politics, towards the bourgeois who had
control over everything at the time and, most of all, antipathy towards the
weaknesses and errors of the people who were so eager to praise their nations yet
allowed their countries to join in the chaotic massacre of the war.
Art has always had an important relation to its historical context and, naturally, this

In 1967, surgeon Christiaan Barnard performed the first successful human heart
transplant on 54 year old Louis Washkansky, a grocer living in South Africa.
Despite Washkansky only living for 18 days post surgery, Barnard was instantly
boosted to worldwide fame and praised for his exceptional pioneering in the field of
science. Prior to Barnard s procedure, heart transplants had only been attempted on
subhuman species such as frogs, dogs, cows, and chimpanzees. Following his first
success, Barnard continued practicing cardiovascular surgeryfor 16 years, until his
retirement in 1983. During this time, he performed many more successful
transplants; his most successful case was Dirk van Zyl, who lived for 23 years after
his surgery, encouraging
30. How Is Heart Of Darkness Dehumanize
Heart of Darkness During Joseph Conrad s lifetime, little trouble was made over
his 1899 novel Heart of Darkness. The tale is about sailor Charles Marlow s time
as captain of an ivory hauling steamboat on the Congo River. The novel, fixed in
Conrad s own experiences as a sailor on the Congo, vividly shows the horrors of
Belgian colonial rule and the mistreatment of Africa. Many aspects of the book are
nothing short of brilliant. However, in the last hundred years there has been a lot of
negative feedback against Conrad s famed novel. These negative attacks were
directed toward the seemingly racist nature of Conrad s narrative. In 1975, author
Chinua Achebe analyzed Conrad s portrayal of Africans in the book and accused
Conrad of racism. However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indeed, the descriptions of the African people Conrad uses seem racist at first
glance. For example, Conrad writes: They shouted, sang; their bodies streamed
with perspiration; they had faces like grotesque masks these chaps; but they had

and true as the surf along their coast. (Conrad) Conrad s description of the African
faces like grotesque masks puts them in with all the ugly things Marlow witnesses
in the Congo. However, it is not racism that makes Conrad to write these words.
Instead, he presents the African people as a part of a savage, beautiful landscape
that is being spoiled by Europe s efforts to imperialize

32. The Importance Of Gene Imprinting
Gene imprinting is an epigenetic phenomenon when two alleles of a certain gene are
expressed at different level depending on their parent of origin. Gene imprinting has
been documented in mammals and flowering plants. In the 1980s, biologists attention
to imprinting has greatly increased due to the recognition of its importance during
mammalian development [1]. Imprinted genes regulate cell growth, cell signaling,
cell cycle regulation, and influence nutrient acquisition and fetus growth. In
mammals, many imprinted genes are found in the placenta and brain, which is
consistent with growth and neurodevelopmental defects observed in human
imprinting disorders [2,3].
In addition to mammals, gene imprinting is also found in flowering plants. ... Show

The angiosperms (flowering plants) are the most diverse group of land plants, with
over 250,000 species [5]. Double fertilization is a unique feature distinguishing
angiosperms from their seed plant predecessors (gymnosperms). This feature might
have provided angiosperms an evolutionary advantage to become the dominant form
of land plant life, although the selection force of this trait is poorly understood.
Unlike animals that define all cell lineages during embryogenesis, plants are able to
establish novel cell fates throughout their entire life cycle, especially during sexual
reproduction. Sexual reproduction in flowering plants comprises of a process divided
into three phases: sporogenesis, gametogenesis and embryo / endosperm genesis.
Sporogenesis is initiated in both male and female reproductive tissues. In ovule
primordium, a subepidermal nucellar cell differentiates into a megaspore mother cell
(MMC), the MMC then undergoes meiosis to form four haploid megaspores. Only
one megaspore survives to become functional megaspore (FM) and proceeds to
gametogenesis, while the other three degenerate. In stamen primordium, one
subepidermal nucellar cell gives rise to a microspore or pollen mother cell (PMC).
The PMC then undergoes meiosis to form four haploid microspores which will

In past times, there were few makeup products to choose from. A majority of these
products were home made. As time has went on, more products were made as
makeup and beauty products became popular as the advertisement industry began
to grow. At this point in time, many places sell products with prices affordable up
to being ridiculous prices but they are sold because of the want for the products by
many people. Advertising is everywhere; from billboards, trucks, magazines,
online apps, and the radio. In the advertisements, they include a description of
what the product is supposedly able to do to make you look flawless or beautiful .
The thought that you need a beauty product to meet society s expectations is not
good and can affect your self esteem especially if the product does not even do
what it was supposed to have done. In the 21st century, make up is used for many
things from covering up natural parts of your skin like redness, blemishes, and
freckles to wearing make up for a date, costumes, holidays, going to the store, work,
or even school. Society makes it seem as if you want to be beautiful you have to
have a face full of makeup and perfect skin like the models used in advertisements.
The models used for advertising skin products already have what society s view of
perfect skin is without the use of the product. These models are not chosen due to
the use of the product on their skin making them look the way they do but because
they are society s view of

I decided to show my date the hurricane risks associated with Key West, Florida. Key
West is at a very high risk for hurricane damage because of its low elevation and its
proximity to the sea. I did some research and discovered that approximately 90% of
Key West is only five feet above sea level. For this reason stormsurges, flooding, and
erosion could cause considerable damage to most of the city. The issue regarding
how to protect the city from these problems is of much debate. On google earth I
could identify sea walls that prevent sea water from flooding the city. Sea walls and
storm management systems are perhaps Key West s main form of mitigation.
However, as we have learned in the flooding unit, if the water is high enough no
manmade drainage system will prevent flooding. A risky feature that we could
identify was how flat Key West is. If... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

neighborhoods could be swallowed by the sea. Kew West is a beautiful city with
sandy beaches and the blue ocean surrounding it. However, it also has a high
hurricane risk, thus those who choose to live their should be educated about the
dangerous risks so that they can better prepare for future storms. This week I learned
about the dangers associated with hurricanes and tornadoes and the cities that are

Argumentative Synthesis
President Barack Hussein Obama was the forty fourth president elected into office in
2008 and the first United States president, under the constitution, of African descent.
He has worked his way up from the Illinois State Senate to the US Senate then
officially sworn in as president on January 20, 2009. Considering his background
in politics, logically, he should be a responsible, trustworthy candidate for
president yet that does not stand for his mentality of how to run a country. He has
portrayed himself as a person of significance by supporting the same sex marriage
law, preventing the unnecessary travel of oil and petroleum, and fighting for paid
leave for company employees; nevertheless, he has caused grief to appear in the
families of war participants. Conversely, pre presidency, Obama promised to end
the war of American troops fighting in Afghanistan in the year 2014, he promised
to direct revenues from oil drills to increase coastal protection, he also promised to
become a person who unites the American people; however, has this so called
president kept any of those promises or have they long been abandoned? As Barack
Obama s second term comes to an end, it is apparent that Obama is one of the most
hypocritical presidents in American history.
