The document describes the design and evaluation of a corn sheller machine. It discusses how existing corn de-husking methods are not effective for small Indian farmers. The designed machine uses a DC motor to rotate sharp cutting blades that remove corn kernels from cobs as they are fed through. An evaluation of the machine found it was able to shell 20kg of corn in under 3 minutes with a threshing efficiency of 78.93% and separation efficiency of 56.06%. The machine was concluded to satisfactorily shell corn and could process about 1 tonne per 9 hour shift, providing an innovative solution for efficient corn processing by small Indian farmers.

"zero energy cool chambers" (ZECCs), are a type of evaporative cooler, which are simple and inexpensive ways to keep vegetables fresh without the use of electricity. Evaporation of water from a surface removes heat, creating a cooling effect, which can improve vegetable storage shelf life. ECCs are relatively large compared to the more common household clay pot cooler, and are therefore most suitable for farmers with large production quantities, farming groups, or farming cooperatives.
Drying is need because the high moisture grain will cause heat build up (Hot spot) from respiration of microorganisms, low thermal diffusivity of grain ,increased the mold growth, reduced starch and sugar content.
Bucket elevators are common industrial devices used to elevate bulk materials, and outwardly they appear to be simple devices. However having a rigid bucket bolted to a flexible belt creates difficulties at the interface of the belt, bucket and head pulley. At the point where a bucket’s connection line to the belt contacts the pulley, the tip of the bucket must undergo a theoretically infinite acceleration. In reality, as the point of tangency is reached, the tip of the bucket lags behind its theoretical position before accelerating and overshooting its nominally correct position. This motion is complicated with the bulk material contained within the bucket being able to decouple and re-engage with the bucket during the transition phase.
It is designed with various options of height, capacity, speed and constructive details depending on the type of transported material. The effective use of different type of bucket elevators completely depends on its design and type of bulk material. The trend is toward highly standardized units.
A range of different research methods have been used to determine the productivity improvement of elevator. The present study shows the productivity improvement of elevator for granular materials by changing in parameter and structure affecting the efficiency of elevator.
A Silo is a structure for storing bulk materials. Silos are used in agriculture to store grain or fermented feed known as silage. Silos are more commonly used for bulk storage of grain, coal, cement, carbon black, wood chips, food products and sawdust.
This study focuses on the development of a mathematical model describing the phenomena of heat transfer in the grain mass during the storage period and the control of the airflow of the aerated cereal in the silo.
India was witnessing a revolution in farm production and was struggling for increased food production to satisfy the needs of one of the fastest growing populations in the world. This required large quantities of good quality seeds which, at that time, were being produced largely on imported seed processing machines. The cost was too high and unaffordable for a country short of foreign currency. It was in 1984, when AGROSAW™ took up the challenge and committed itself to providing world-class seed processing machines to the farmers and seed producers of the country, right here in India, and that too at the most affordable prices. It has been a hard work for all of us at AGROSAW™ all these years - needs of the farmer and seed producers were listed, research & studies conducted, continuous interaction with scientists at Agricultural Universities was made, new designs were developed to suit the Indian conditions, production facilities built, wide dealer network established - all brick by brick.

Production of Chips of Porang (Amorphophallus Oncophyllus) by Slicing Machin...AM Publications
Chips of porang (amorphophallus oncophyllus) is slice of tubers of porang as a main material for glucomannan flour-making. Glucomannan flour containing high glucomannan is very useful to the food industry, non-food and health. Chips of porang production among the farmers in Magelang, Central Java, still use manual method that resulting low chips quality that does not meet for further processing, namely manufacturing of flour glucomannan. This applied research is intended to design the tubers chips maker with double rotating cutters to produce chips of uniform and the same thickness. The method used is engineering design approach starting from process of machine design, manufacture engine components, and engine performance testing. The result is a slicing machine with rotating cutters for producing chips of porang with the specifications: length dimension: 1000 (mm), width 750 (mm), height 1000 (mm), the weight of the machine: 85 (kg), the drive unit: motor gasoline of 5.5 HP. It was found that best performance of cutting process of the rotating double cutters is at 120 rpm, cutter angle of inclination is of 30o, and production capacity is of 310 kg per hour.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
