This document provides an introduction to different types of industrial automation controllers, including counters, timers, power controllers, data recorders, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), frequency converters, and softstarters. It describes the basic functions of each type of controller, such as counters storing event counts, timers measuring time intervals, power controllers regulating voltage levels, and data recorders logging process data over time. PLCs are defined as digital computers used to automate industrial processes. Frequency converters can change voltage levels and control motor speed and torque, while softstarters reduce electrical surge during equipment startup. Contact details are provided for VISUM Ltd, an industrial automation company located in Kosice, Slovakia.
