my contents page includes typical magazine elements. I've used
margins and columns to organise my work on the page more
neatly. I have included a selling line at the very top of the page
so that it attracts the readers attention. I've used a folio to link
my contents page to my front cover. This will enable my readers
to be able to link everything together. I've given my images large
numbers for a different effect. Instead of sticking to magazine
conventions I will breaking some. I will make sure I include
captions underneath my pictures so that the readers know what
they are looking at. I’ve also written a welcome speech for my
magazine readers to read at first. I will include more images and
more captions.
I have chosen this layout because it is clear and cohesive. Its not
too complicated or cramped. I think this sort of layout will
appeal to my target audience as it fits in with typical magazine
elements.

3. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD
Here I have included two mock ups of my double page spread.
One has been done by hand and one had been made in
Photoshop. As you can see I have made slight alterations to my
first hand made draft. At first I was going to include a two
images and a headline, sub line and by line which I haven't
included. In my Photoshop draft. In my Photoshop draft I have
placed a brown box within the text to indicate where my pull
out quote will be put. I have altered the colour theme in the
double page spread to match with my models colour scheme.
In order to keep the link between my magazine front cover I will
make sure the folio includes the magazine colour theme. I will
change placement of the ‘LAYDEE’ text and place it elsewhere so
that I can include my Headline at the top.
I have chosen this layout for my double page spread because it
is a typical magazine DPS layout. This will create familiarity for
my readers. As they will know where to begin to read. Also it is
cohesive and clear and not confusing. I will align my text in
order to keep things neat and organised.
