2. Q. Have you had any training
received or any practice with
your camera and tripod kits?
Before we went out and filmed our
short film we had a workshop to teach
us how to use the camera and tripod
kits. We were shown how to open,
close and adjust the tripod legs in
order to achieve our desired angle. We
were also show how to tilt, raise and
pan using the tripod. Whilst using the
tripod and camera we had to make
sure the camera was securely placed
and locked into the tripod stand in
order to avoid unsteady, wobbly
footage.
Also within the workshop we were
shown how to manipulate the camera
for example how to insert the battery
pack and remove it. We had to learn
how to insert the tape and remove it
and shown were to locate the playback
buttons on the camera.

3. Q. Were there any decisions
made within your team and
justification of these decisions?
In order for our group to get our
filming done our producer made us
packs with dates so that we could
check our group members availability.
This pack allowed us to check suitable
times for us to film together. We all
agreed on this because it made
schedule much easier to balance with
filming hours. In order to film our
short film we had to use a bedroom,
this meant we needed to use
somebody’s house. Our director
allowed us to use her bedroom for this
scene as her house had the facilities.

4. Q. Did you have any problems
encountered and did you seek
any contingency action plans?
During our filming process we
encountered a few problems. Firstly
our actors availability times was
difficult. So we had to find a different
actor to replace the existing one. This
added a slight delay to our filming
schedule. Secondly, some of our
scenes were shot at night in the woods
so lighting was also an issue. In order
for us to film in the woods we used
artificial lighting to help us see.
Thirdly, safety. As well as filming at
night we had to make sure we were
safe.
Some days certain group members
weren't available to film so we had to
film with only those who were
available at the time.
