The document summarizes 5 problems encountered while editing a film project in Final Cut Pro. The first problem was inconsistencies between actor outfits. The second problem involved dragging sounds between scenes. The third problem was increasing the duration of a cross dissolve transition. The fourth problem dealt with non-continuous shots not corresponding. And the fifth problem involved adding a fade out and fade in effect between clips.

Whilst editing I came across a few problems and tiny errors. The first problem was our
actors and consistency. Here harry is seen leaving the classroom and chasing after
Hermoinie. However when he leaves the classroom his bag is missing . Although it is not
noticed instantly it still a problem we could have tackled.

Problem number two was trying to drag one sound from one scene into another. In
order to do this I had to drop and drag the sound from the selected ₁ image and pull
along ₂. I also made sure I had deleted the audio on the other shot ₃.

The third problem I had was trying to increase the duration of the cross dissolve.
initially there was no space to place the cross dissolve therefore I had to place it on
top by selecting ‘create transition’. Therefore I had to use the position tool to move
the whole timeline backwards in order to create space.

Problem 4 links back to problem 2. We had to film another shot of Harry’s response to
the tramp, after he asks for change. Because it is not a continuous shot filmed on the
same day it doesn't entirely correspond with the tramp shot. In order to overcome this I
tried my best to include the same sound with this clip to create a smooth transition.

Problem 5 was trying to get a fade out and fade in effect between these two clips. I
achieved this by placing the fade to colour transition twice in the space. This resulted in me
achieving my desired effect.
