2. Q. Discuss in detail the various
tools and features of the
software you have employed for
these tasks.
For my ancillary products I used InDesign and Photoshop to
produce them. I used InDesign to place text neatly for my film
review. I used grids and text boxes to help place images and align
everything neatly. I used the colour picker to make sure that the
theme colour was consistent.
For Photoshop I used filters to manipulate the images in my
poster and double page spread. Some pieces of text were
embossed or bevelled. Photoshop was also useful in helping me
add layers of both texts and images. Cropping was also a useful
tool for sizing my images.
3. Q. How you incorporated the research you undertook
including the use of codes and conventions of the two
types of products including layout, style, colour,
typeface, language and images.
Using the research that I undertook before I produced my
dps and poster. I incorporated similar codes and
conventions found within other posters and dps’s, for
example having a main image, the film title, tagline and
billing block. I used a clear typeface in order to make sure it
was readable. I made sure there was a clear colour theme
throughout the film poster. I made sure the image and
language matched the theme and subject the film.
