Concept art drawings
In this presentation, I will be explaining my concept art sketches.
Environment
Here is a sketch for my environment, I have chosen an asylum.
I have chosen an asylum for the main game environment because
considering my game is a zombie apocalypse game this will be perfect for
the storyline and goriness of the game.
My inspirations for this building is that it is based off of a real haunted
asylum in America called Pennhurst Asylum. It is said that this building is
the scariest haunted attraction ever.
Weaponry
Here is my first weapon design. I chose this weapon
because it is a quad barrel shotgun and I think that
it connotes my game idea very well. From my own
experience playing FPS featuring shotguns, I love to
use it because it blasts the enemy away and you
feel very much in power, it can be quite thrilling.
Here are 2 other ideas for my main weapon on this game. From the top image
you can see that I have experimented with more of a gadget gun approach to it,
looks abit more futuristic which i didn’t really like but it was only an experiment
anyway.
I think that a shotgun is essential for my game style, my game is a zombie game
and I like the idea of lots of zombies coming at you but with one shot you blow
all of them way, its quite thrilling.
Here are a few more optional
ideas for my games main
weapon.
Character
Here is my roughly completed character design
of what my character would look like.
I have chosen to make him an EX German army
veteran, so he is wearing his Nazi uniform. I
used this guy because its quite interesting to
play as someone that you cant relate to,
especially a German war veteran, the storyline
real goes in depth of this guys life.
If i was to redo this I think I would have to add
much more detail into the uniform; pockets,
badges ETC.
Here is my first ever attempt to get a outline for my
character, to have a template so I can work on it and
make it better, a lot more detail.
The difference between this sketch and the finished
sketch is quite a change, I tried to put as much detail
into a person as I could. I think that this could of
gone better, yet I think its still pretty good.
