This document provides information about a computer assisted art lesson on linear perspective and the artist Vincent Van Gogh. It includes definitions of perspective terms like vanishing point and horizon line. It describes one-point perspective as using a single vanishing point. Vincent Van Gogh is discussed as a post-impressionist painter known for his rough beauty, emotional honesty and bold colors. His works used vibrant colors and thick, rough brush strokes. Famous paintings like Starry Night and Café Terrace at Night are mentioned.

Abstract painting happens to be one of the purest forms of expressing feelings through art. It allows an artist to communicate freely through visuals without encountering constraints of forms that are abundant in objective reality. The approaches of abstract painting encompass innumerable movements, including Fauvism, German Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, and Cubism.

Impressionism was an art movement that emerged in the second half of the 19th
century among a group of Paris-based artists. The duration of the impressionist
movement itself was quite short, less than 20 years from 1872 to the mid-1880s. But
it had a tremendous impact and influence on the painting styles that followed, such as
neo-impressionism, post-impressionism, fauvism, and cubism—and even the artistic
styles and movements of today.
The name impressionism was coined from the title of a work by French painter
Claude Monet, Impression, soleil levant (in English, Impression, Sunrise).

Oil on canvas
The term precisely captured what this group of artists sought to represent in their
works: the viewer’s momentary “impression” of an image. It was not intended to be
clear or precise, but more like a fleeting fragment of reality caught on canvas,
sometimes in mid-motion, at other times awkwardly positioned—just as it would be
in real life.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

3. Linear Perspective
• Perspective in the graphic arts, such as
drawing, is an approximate
representation, on a flat surface (such
as paper), of an image as it is seen by
the eye. The two most characteristic
features of perspective are that
objects are drawn:
• Smaller as their distance from the
observer increases
• Foreshortened: to reduce or distort in
order to convey the illusion of three-
dimensional space as perceived by the
human eye: often done according to
the rules of perspective.
4. Any perspective representation of a
scene that includes parallel lines, has
one or more vanishing points (The
point in linear perspective at which all
imaginary lines of perspective
converge) is a perspective drawing. A
one-point perspective drawing means
that the drawing has a single vanishing
point, usually (though not necessarily)
directly opposite the viewer's eye and
usually (though not necessarily) on the
horizon line (the level your eyes are at,
an imaginary line to which things
recede). All lines parallel with the
viewer's line of sight recede to the
horizon towards this vanishing point.
This is the standard "receding railroad
tracks" phenomenon.
6. 1 Point Perspective
ONE POINT PERSPECTIVE is so named
because it uses a single vanishing point to
draw an object. It is the simplest form of
perspective drawing and is used here to
draw boxes.
• In one point perspective, the front and
back transversal planes of the box always
remain parallel to the picture plane. Only
their scale changes as they recede into
the distance.
8. Biography
Born March 30, 1853 in Zundert,
Netherlands, Vincent had two
brothers and three sisters. He was
closest to his younger brother
Theo. Although he enjoyed
drawing from the time he was a
young boy, Vincent had a number
of other jobs before he decided to
work as an artist full time. He
worked as a teacher in London
and then as a minister. He also
worked in a book store, an art
gallery, and as a missionary. At
around the age of 27, Van Gogh
decided to devote himself
completely to art.
9. He is most known as a Dutch post-
Impressionist painter whose work is
notable for its rough beauty,
emotional honesty and bold color.
It had a far-reaching influence on
20th-century art.
The Post Impressionists were a group
of young painters who sought
independent artistic styles for
expressing emotions rather than
simply optical impressions;
concentrating on themes of deeper
symbolism. Through the use of
simplified colors and definitive
forms, their art was characterized
by a renewed aesthetic sense as
well as abstract tendencies.
10. In 1888 van Gogh moved south to Arles,
France to start up an artist's commune.
He rented out a yellow house to live in
and invited artist Paul Gauguin to join
him. He loved the vibrant colors and the
bright sun of Arles.
Van Gogh began painting with intensity
and emotion. The colors in his paintings
became more vibrant and bright. He
would sometimes apply the paint
directly onto the canvas from the tubes
leaving the paint thick with rough brush
strokes. Sometimes it would take weeks
for his paintings to dry because the
paint was so thick.
Vincent painted hundreds of pictures
during this time, sometimes painting
masterpieces in a single day. He became
fully obsessed with art.
11. In 1989 Van Gogh committed himself
to a mental hospital. He could
barely take care of himself. He still
continued to paint and painted one
of his most famous paintings Starry
Night during this time. Van Gogh's
mental state continued to
deteriorate. On July 29, 1890 he
died from a self-inflicted bullet
wound to the chest.
Although he wasn't famous during his
lifetime, today he is considered one
of the greatest and most influential
artists of his time. Many of his
paintings sell for millions of dollars
today. There are over 800 surviving
oil paintings as well as over a
thousand water colors and sketches
of his work.
