The center of mass (CoM) is the point where the entire mass of an object may be assumed to be concentrated and through which the resultant weight force acts. It represents the average position of all parts of an object and can be used to analyze the motion of an object or system as a whole rather than its individual parts. There are several methods to assess the CoM, including the reaction board technique, balance board technique, and segmentation method which involves estimating the mass and position of individual body segments.
