This document provides performance targets and nutritional recommendations for Cobb700 broilers. It includes targets for weight gain, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio from hatch to market age for males and females. The targets are averages based on field performance data from around the world. Nutritional specifications are provided to help farmers achieve these targets, with the note that formulations may need to be adjusted based on local conditions. Farmers are advised to consult their local Cobb technical representative to develop a customized nutritional program.

The main feedstuffs fed to cattle include: grass, hay, grain, silage and total mixed ration. There are in fact, many types of feeds that can be fed to cattle, for example, crumbles, meals, coarse mix and pellets made from raw material such as corn, wheat, soybean. In this article, Elena Forbes of Azeus Machinery takes a closer look at the processes involved in creating a good quality pellet. With the global demand for cattle feed ever increasing, the need to produce high quality and nutritionally balanced feed has become an essential issue in the feed market.
The objective of a defined feeding management program is to supply a range of balanced diets that satisfy the nutrient requirements at all stages of development & that optimize efficiency and profitability without compromising bird welfare or the environment.

the liver is the central laboratory of a chicken’s body. It is
essential that this organ is kept in an excellent condition in
order to maintain a healthy bird. Understanding the metabolic
function and causes of disruptions in liver functions helps us
to provide the birds with the right feed and health treatment.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. This supplement presents broiler performance and yield targets for
your Cobb700 broilers, together with recommendations on nutritional
specifications designed to help achieve these targets.
Broiler performance varies from country to country; these targets are
based on a combination of field performance results and experience from
around the world. The performance data included in this supplement is a
blended combination from both the Cobb Male and the CobbMX male, and
actual flock performance attained may be different than the values shown
in this manual due to individual male line traits. The growth rates shown are
the targets for achieving cost-efficient performance.
The performance objectives in this supplement are displayed in both
metric and imperial configurations:
Metric Imperial
The key micronutrients in particular are well known for their effect on the
development and mineralization of bone. It is essential that adequate
levels of these are presented to the bird throughout their development.
Supplementation of compound rations with whole or cracked whole wheat
can significantly deplete levels of calcium and phosphorus.
Quality and availability of raw materials may require nutrient levels to be
adjusted. Formulations will need to be ‘fine tuned’ to suit your specific
requirements and environment.
Please contact your local Cobb technical representative to help develop a
program designed specifically to suit your own local conditions based on
the advice and information contained in this supplement and the main
Cobb Broiler Management Guide.
Revised December 2012
Introduction
Cobb700 Broiler Performance & Nutrition Supplement
11. Meat yield is dependent on many factors, but those that have the most
influence are weight, age and nutrition.
Weight
• Carcass and breast meat yield increase as a function of liveweight at any
given age.
Percent breast meat yield for birds from a single flock of males processed at 50 days.
Age
• Carcass and breast meat yield increase as a function of age.
• Older birds processed at the same weight will often yield more than their
younger counterparts.
Feed
• Carcass composition is affected by nutrition.
• Rations of varying nutrient density will affect yield in different ways.
• As protein is increased there is a corresponding increase in breast meat
yield as a percent of live weight.

* Preferably Choline is added directly into the mixer rather than via a premix because of its hygroscopic nature.
Vitamin and trace mineral levels may vary depending on the source and supplier. The numbers above refers to e.g.
usage of inorganic minerals and a vitamin D3 source.
MIU = million international units; KIU = thousand international units; g = grams; mg = milligrams
