Electrical Substation and Switchyard DesignLiving Online
Electrical substations form important nodal points in all power networks. Substations can be of various capacities, voltages, configurations and types depending on what is the application for which the substation is being designed. Location and layout of a substation present a number of challenges to the designer due to a large variety of options available to a designer. There are ever so many constraints too that need to be kept in mind; technical, environmental and naturally financial. Arriving at an optimum design within these constraints is as much an art as it is a science. Designing a substation which will operate with utmost reliability for at the least three or four decades involves a thorough knowledge of the current state-of-the art equipment, emerging technologies, the tools for presenting and evaluating all available options and a good appreciation of power system operation and maintenance. This course will present a comprehensive capsule of all the knowledge essential for a substation designer and walk the participants through the substation design process using a set of interlinked case studies.

Presentation on Cloud Computing by Vivek Atalkar.pptxVivek Atalkar
Cloud computing refers to the delivery of on-demand computing services over the internet. It allows users to access computing resources such as servers, storage, databases, and software applications on a pay-as-you-go basis, without having to own and maintain their own infrastructure.
The key benefit of cloud computing is flexibility. By leveraging cloud services, businesses can quickly scale up or down their computing resources to meet changing demands. This allows them to avoid the high upfront costs and ongoing maintenance expenses associated with owning and operating their own infrastructure.
Another significant benefit of cloud computing is reliability. Cloud providers typically offer high levels of availability and uptime, with service level agreements (SLAs) guaranteeing a certain level of performance. This can help businesses to avoid costly downtime and data loss.
Cloud computing also offers improved security. Cloud providers invest heavily in security measures and technologies to protect their infrastructure and data. This can provide businesses with a level of security that may be difficult or expensive to achieve on their own.
There are several types of cloud computing services, including:
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): This involves the provision of virtualized computing resources such as servers, storage, and networking over the internet.
Platform as a Service (PaaS): This provides a platform for building and deploying applications without having to manage the underlying infrastructure.
Software as a Service (SaaS): This provides software applications over the internet, without the need for users to install and maintain their own software.
There are also several deployment models for cloud computing, including public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud. Public cloud involves using computing resources provided by third-party cloud providers, while private cloud involves using dedicated infrastructure that is managed by the organization. Hybrid cloud involves using a combination of both public and private cloud services.
While cloud computing offers many benefits, there are also potential drawbacks to consider. One concern is the risk of vendor lock-in, where businesses become dependent on a single cloud provider and may have difficulty switching to another provider or bringing their services in-house. Additionally, there are concerns about data privacy and security, particularly when sensitive or regulated data is stored in the cloud.
In conclusion, cloud computing offers businesses significant benefits in terms of flexibility, reliability, and security. By leveraging cloud services, businesses can avoid the high upfront costs and ongoing maintenance expenses associated with owning and operating their own infrastructure. However, it is important to carefully consider the potential drawbacks and risks associated with cloud computing, and to choose a cloud provider and deployment model that best meets the organization

Courier management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

3. WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING ?
Cloud computing is a type of computing that relies on sharing computing
resources rather than having local servers or personal Devices to handle
application.
In cloud computing, the word cloud is used as a metaphor for "the Internet,"
so the phrase cloud computing means "a type of Internet-based computing,"
where different services -- such as servers, storage and applications -- are
delivered to an organization's computers and devices through the Internet
The cloud is itself a virtualisation of resources such as networks,
servers, applications, data storage and services.
It can provide the user with many applications and services on
demand via the web
4. • It is the result of evolution
and adoption of existing
technologies and paradigms.
• Goals of cloud computing

9. Failure Cases
• Simulation parameters
• Average bounded slowdown and average per-processor slowdown
• Average waiting time & average weighted waiting time
• Network Error
• Computational Error
• Power Failure
• Queue Overflow
10. Feedback and Update
• When we get feedback from server that a particular activity
is completed then we can schedule its dependent activity
from waiting queue to its destination server.
• After that each resource table and universal resource table
gets updated.

12. • Cloud computing presents enterprises
with significant cost and agility benefits
that IT will struggle to leverage due to
security and control constraints
• If IT doesn’t provide business units with
easy access to inexpensive cloud
services, they will engage with external
providers themselves, bypassing IT
policy and control
13. Conclusion
• Cloud computing is a really cheap way for companies to
have all the resources they need in once place.
• It’s a much better way to spread your resources, and it
becomes easier to access things from longer distances.
But…
• Is cloud computing really all that safe? For instance,
while cloud computing has backups, if something was to
go wrong… do you have your own personal backup?
• Is cloud computing as private as you think it is? Is your
data secure or can anyone access it?
This is the overall scenario of scheduling process. There are three types of clients considered who pay different amount for cloud services they are using. This is what happen in general cloud computing. We need to maintain separate queues for these clients as they pay at different level.
