ANSWERS
Answer 1. The Rule of the Law means No person;
government officials or government entity is above
the Law. No Law can be written that is either
outside the Law, violates a higher Law or doesn’t
conforms with fairness is known as Rule of Law.
According to the Law all are equal.
Answer 2. By the 22nd century BC, Ur-Nammu,
an ancient Sumerian ruler, formulated the first
extant law code, consisting of casuistic statements.
Around 1760 BC, King Hammurabi further
developed Babylonian law, by codifying and
inscribing it in stone.
Answer 3. The Parliament has an important role
in making laws.
Answer 4. In December 2002, the Standing

that in a scenario wherein women have
equal rights and privileges as that of men, both
women and men will be on equal footing.
Answer 8. Domestic violence is a behaviour used
by one person in a relationship to control the other.
The partners may be married; they may not be
married. The violence could be against children or
spouse.
The laws for the survivors of violence, especially
for women are:
1 The Indian Penal Code Amendment in 1983
2 The 2005 Protection of Women from Domestic
Violence Act.
Answer 9. Currently the people in India are
protesting against the following law;
Article 66A- IT Law.
This is a censorship law that allows the
government to arrest anyone in context to the
content they post online. The people of India
believe that this law is an attack on the Freedom of
Speech and Expression.
It would affect the 2019 elections in the following
ways;
(i) It would affect the popularity of the now
government(BJP).
(ii) It would affect the election policy of the
political parties.
(iii) It would create public pressure over the
political parties.

Answer 11. Domestic violence is any behavior the
purpose of which is to gain power and control over
a spouse, partner, girl/boyfriend or
intimate family member. Abuse is a learned
behavior; it is not caused by anger, mental
problems, drugs or alcohol, or other common
excuses.

The Rule of the Law means No person; government officials or government entity is above the Law. No Law can be written that is either outside the Law, violates a higher Law or doesn’t conforms with fairness is known as Rule of Law.
