Pressure is defined as force per unit area and the SI unit of pressure is the Pascal. Liquids and gases exert pressure depending on factors like depth, size of container, and altitude. Atmospheric pressure, also called barometric pressure, is the air pressure within the Earth's atmosphere and is on average 101,325 Pascals at sea level.
