Citing An Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Citing an Essay" can be both challenging and intricate. The
difficulty arises from the need to navigate through various citation styles, such as APA, MLA,
Chicago, and others, each with its own set of rules and guidelines. Ensuring accurate and
consistent citations throughout the essay requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough
understanding of the specific citation style.
Moreover, addressing the nuances of citing an essay involves delving into the intricacies of in-
text citations, bibliography or works cited page creation, and the proper formatting of various
source types, including books, articles, online sources, and more. The writer must be well-versed
in the specific requirements of the chosen citation style, paying careful attention to details like
author names, publication dates, page numbers, and publication titles.
Another layer of complexity lies in the evolving nature of citation rules and the constant updates
made by academic institutions and publishers. Staying current with the latest changes in citation
guidelines is crucial to producing a well-crafted essay that adheres to the most recent standards.
In addition to the technical challenges, the writer must also grapple with the broader context of
the essay, ensuring that the content flows seamlessly while incorporating citations naturally into
the narrative. Striking the right balance between original thought and proper attribution requires a
delicate touch to avoid plagiarism and maintain the integrity of the work.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic of "Citing an Essay" demands a high level of
precision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of citation styles. It is a task that requires
dedication, time, and a commitment to keeping abreast of the latest changes in citation
guidelines. For those who find this task overwhelming, seeking assistance from academic writing
services can be a viable option. If you need help with essays or similar tasks, consider exploring

relabel it, rename it and export for the profit. Some countries like America, Egypt,
Syria and Britain import the product for health benefit. They also use it in medicines,
apart from that some countries which produce high quality beauty products like

North Carolina State University Scholarship Essay
I am a currently a Junior, at Warren New Tech High School, and I just started my
second semester. I am a hardworking student, who likes to maintain her academics,
as high as possible. I used to always get A and B Honor Roll (Freshmen and
Sophomore year), but so far this year I have been able to make Principal s List, this
was during my first semester. I am really hoping that I will get accepted into North
Carolina State University(NCSU), it s considered as my top choice and they have a
really significant Agriculture Program. I know how important it is to actually get
a scholarship, when you are applying these top colleges, especially if you don t
have a resource for that kind of money. I have gotten very interested in working
with farm animals, and I have started my own farm (just chickens now, but more

others. I hope to see myself on the very successful in the side of farming, as well
providing all sorts of business with agriculture. I want to effectively know how to
breed farm animals, in the most possible way. I want to be able to sell farm
animals (when they are babies, to people who want them, and would like to care
for them), and some of the products, that they are able to produce for people to use.
Some of the products that I would produce, would not only be used for food, but
also the products, would fall under the concept of beauty supply. I want to not only
be able to enter into shows with the animals, but hopefully be able to win some of
the top prizes, that they offer. I want to be an essential trainer, for those who would
like to ride horses, and want to learn. I will become a successful and powerful
entrepreneur in the farming business and animal

Essay on Physical Therapy and Kinesiology
Physical therapy and kinesiology work in a close relationship to each other.
Essentially one may think they are one in the same, however there are small
differences between the two that provide different results when applied singularly.
As a combined effort physical therapy and kinesiology work to heal the muscles
and joints of the body, recreating movements perfectly as they were before injury or
in some cases as closely as one can get to a perfect function. First one must
understand where the lone is drawn between the two fields and how they balance
each other to create desirable results in a patient. Kinesiology is a complimentary
therapyused to identify and correct internal issues to relieve stress, allergies, and pain.

Essentially the belief, in simplified words, proves that diet and core specific exercise
can manipulate and change a person s health, including reactions to environmental
stimulants such as pollen or dust.
Physical therapy takes a more direct pathway towards a more specific problem with
the human body. Physical therapy is a rehabilitation that works towards a goal of
helping patients maintain, improve, or recover their physical abilities, most often
times after an accident causing traumatic injury or arthritis (Mayo School of Health
Sciences). Patients of a physical therapist often come in solely for the purpose of
regaining their movement, not the health aspect involved behind it. Most patients of
this therapist have suffered sports injuries, traumatic accidents, over even simply a
problem of weakening with age such as those who suffer arthritis or other weakening
of the joints and muscles. With step by step sessions focusing purely on strengthening
the muscles and joints required to perform the movement functions, the patients
rebuild their way from movement with pain, to no pain or suffering involved in
everyday activities. When a patient begins therapy, they more or less begin with baby
steps such as stretches and hydrotherapy to allow the body to relearn the movements
without pain (What is Physical Therapy?). As the patient increases in strength

Clean Water Act Protects Water
A Priceless Natural Resource Clean Water Water is necessary to sustain life. Water
not only sustains life, but it is the very foundation for life. Where does the water
we drink come from? Our water comes from many different sources such as
groundwater, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, aquifers, springs and streams. In order for
this water to sustain our life, it must be clean. Water is needed to meet the
demands of people in their everyday life. This includes the need for water in
homes, agriculture, industry, medicine and recreation. For health and prosperity
people must have access to clean, safe water. Water is regulated at the federal, state
and local level. The Clean Water Act protects water at the federal level. The
Environmental Protection Agency regulates the standards for contaminants in
water. In order for our water to be clean, we must protect our water sources from
pollution and contaminants. This is why we need to care for the water that we
have. Humans need water in order to survive. Our bodies are about 60 percent
water, the brain is about 70 percent water, and the lungs are made of 90 percent
water. Water is more important for you to survive than food is. When you become
dehydrated, it reduces the amount of blood flow in your body, and causes your heart
to work harder, and pump the blood faster. If you go long enough without water you
ll eventually enter into coma and die. You can also drink too much water. When you
drink too much water you can

Title: A Guide To 10 Chemicals
1.Riboflavin
Riboflavin, otherwise known as B2, is a type of B vitamin that is soluble in water,
which means that it is not stored in the body and therefore needs to be replenished
each day.
Riboflavin works with over B type vitamins to boost body growth, red blood cell
production, and breaking down proteins to release energy. Riboflavin can be found
in many foods, including dairy products like milk and cheese, eggs, green leafy
vegetables like kale, lean meats, organ meats like livers, legumes, and nuts.
Riboflavin can also be found in grains like bread and cereal, but the riboflavin ...

However, it can also be used for gas in refrigerators, purifying water supplies, and the
manufacturing of many useful items like plastics, explosives, textiles, pesticides,
dyes and other chemicals, and household and industrial strength cleaning products.
8.Soybean Oil
Soybean oil is vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of soybeans. Soybean oil is one
of the most biodegradable and eco friendly chemicals commonly used for
commercial purposes. It is one of the most widely used and consumed cooking oils
in the food product industry, and as a drying oil, it can also be used as a chemical
base for printing inks and oil paints. It is also commonly used as a fixative for insect
repellants.
9.Bees Wax
Like soybean oil, Bees Wax is one of the most biodegradable and eco friendly
chemicals commonly used for commercial purposes. Bees wax is a natural wax
produced by honey bees by being formed into scales by eight wax producing glands
in male honey bees which are then discarded in the honey bees hives, forming the
recognizable pentagonal honeycomb foundation. The chemical composition of bees
wax mainly consists of esters of fatty acids and many long chain

Uglow, Jenny. William Hogarth: A Life and a World. Faber Faber, 2011. Jenny
Uglow s masterpiece chronicles the life of William Hogarth, one of the greatest
illustrators in history. The book leads the reader on a journey of Hogarth s birth,
early life, entry into art and his eventual maturity as an artist. It explains that
William Hogarth s birth took place in the United Kingdom in November of the
year 1697. He was the son of an uneventful writer and schoolmaster from
Westmoreland. In the early years of his adulthood, William Hogarth was an
apprentice of a goldsmith. By the year 1710 William began producing his engraved
projects (Uglow 23). Later on in his life, William Hogarth began oil painting where he
began by painting small portraits groups named conversation prices . Motivated by
the previous projects, William Hogarth proceeded with more projects that contained
satirical paintings. The paintings mocked modern customs inspired by early Italian
prints. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On October 26 of the year 1764, William Hogarth passed on. William Hogarth s
final resting point was in the yard of St Nicholas church near his birthplace.
William Hogarth memory lives as people consider him the father of moral portraits
and satirical caricatures. It is this genre that later developed into cartoons. Many
also remember William Hogarth as one of the most innovative artists of his time due
to his stout middle class values and his determination. By the time of his demise,
William Hogarth had introduced art to the ordinary man for the first time in modern
civilization. William Hogarth believed that art should uphold both aesthetic qualities
as well as have ethics. As a result, William Hogarth tried to apply the two policies

African Elephant Research
he elephants who can distinguish threats from humans and bees
There are many intelligent animals in the world, but an African elephant in North
Kenya is probably way smarter than you can probably imagine. A recent study aimed
at finding out whether the alarm calls by the African elephants, co existing with the
local Samburu people, can distinguish between threats from humans and bees.
Mammalian vocal calls refer to external objects present in the environment and
indicate a potential threat through them. Moreover, these calls vary significantly in
the presence of different classes of predators. These vocal calls produced in
response to specific events can then be picked up by other listeners usually of the
same species and action is taken accordingly.
Due to their large size and strength, these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The calls by these African elephants can function as signals. The exposure to
Samburu and bee sounds triggered flight and vigilance behaviour. The alarm calls for
Samburu tribesmen and bees were acoustically distinctive. Headshaking behaviour
was observed only in response to bee sounds and not when exposed to voices of
Samburu tribesmen.
The results of the study provide a pretty conclusive evidence for a cognitive behaviour
in these African elephants. The sample size was appropriate. State of the art tools,
technology were used while conducting the experiment.
This helps us understand that some members of the animal kingdom exhibit cognitive
behaviour and can differentiate between various types of threats and also reflect
urgency level of threats. It can also help us understand the predator prey cycles in a
better context and understand the functioning of a particular ecosystem.
Future research can focus on finding other animals that possess such brilliant
apprehension. Who knows, we may even end up finding some animals eligible to get
into the top universities in the
Summary Of Washing And Brainwashing
From the article, Washing... and Brainwashing, published from Days of War, Night
of Love, by the Crimethnic, the anonymous author discuss how the views and ideals
of cleanliness came from and how corporations and capitalist are using these views
and ideals to make a profit from us. The article begins with the author hearing people
s complaints about hippie s filthiness.
The article then proceeds with a brief history of how our views of cleanliness came to
be. We received these views from the ancient Greeks in which we were shown that
the evil people, Furies, were filthy; cleanliness was used to represent the Gods, which
explains the phrase cleanliness is next to Godliness. The author then goes on by
claiming how corporations are using chemicals
Sylvia Plath s Influences In Her Life
Sylvia Plath was influenced to write poems early on in her life. One of the biggest
influences within her writing include her father, Otto Plath. Otto Plath had died from
an illness caused by diabetes in 1940. After this traumatizing event, Plath had written
very vivid poems explaining her problematic relationship with her father, and her
feelings after he had died. She wrote a poem named Daddy( SylviaPlath Poetry).
Daddy is a poem including a characteristic person representing Plath s father in real
life. Her father in the poem is a dark person that Sylvia Plath has to kill (Ardagh,
Emily). Plath was very upset about this sudden death of her father, so she thought the
perfect idea was to write a poem about him. Another important person
The Role Of Male And Female Roles In Society
In general, the male and female roles in society at that time were very different.
Ultimately, the males were the ones with the most power. Thus, they seemed to
think they knew what is best for the lady s. Still, she is suffering from depression
and went to two different doctors. My brother is also a physician, and also of high
standing, and he says the same thing (). John is a highly looked upon physician, he
tries to make life choices for her that he knows what is best for her, but does he
really? Power was everything to men it made them who they were. Therefore, if they
didn t have power, they were viewed as weak and unsuccessful in life.
In addition, the female role was very different from the male role. Moreover, women
were seen as very dependent on the male. The male made the choices and the
female did whatever they are told. Therefore, they were more likely to stay at home
and tend to house work while their husband was away at work. Sadly, they didn t
seem to get much of a social life. Ultimately, if they wanted to go somewhere they
had to ask permission of the man, but if the man was not around they would do what
they wanted to. Ironically, the women would tend to hide things from the men
because they would disapprove of their choices. Unfortunately, it was a period of
time in which women didn t have much power and were forced to live under a rock.
Furthermore, the men wanted them to be blind to the truth, so they couldn t over
power them.
In addition, the
The Aeneid
What is the plot of the Aeneid?
The Aeneid is a story that follows a Trojan warrior and refugee who fleeted during
the sack of Troy, named Aeneas, who arrives on the Shores of Italy where he
struggles to fulfill his destiny as he encounters many foes and even wavers constantly
between emotions and commitments while trying to fight the Italian prince Turnus.
It is a Roman mythological story about how Aeneas founded the foundations of the
city of Rome and is also believed to be the Gateway between the pagan Christian
centuries.
The story s first half begins with the journey of Aeneas from Troy to Rome. Book 1
he is introduced to us while stuck in a storm and his enemy throughout the poem,
Juno, stirs against the fleet. The storm then drives Aeneas to the coast of Carthage in
Italy which would one day become Rome s deadliest foe. There Queen Dido

In Book 5 Aeneas father dies and funeral games are held. Afterwards in Book 6 he
departs to Cumae (Italy) and consults the Cumaen Sibyl who leads him through to the

Book 7 which is now the second half, continues on to be an address to the muse and
a recount of Aeneas arrival in Italy which also includes his betrothal to the daughter
of King Latinus, Lavinia, who has already been promised to King of the Rutulians,
Turnus who was roused to war by the Fury Allecto and Amata Lavinia s mother.

The Cyscopy Procedures
Cystoscopy
Cystoscopy is a procedure that is used to help diagnose and sometimes treat
conditions that affect that lower urinary tract. The lower urinary tract includes the
bladder and the tube that drains urine from the bladder out of the body (urethra).
Cystoscopy is performed with a thin, tube shaped instrument with a light and camera
at the end (cystoscope). The cystoscope may be hard (rigid) or flexible, depending on
the goal of the procedure. The cystoscope is inserted through the urethra, into the
bladder.
Cystoscopy may be recommended if you have:
Urinary tract infections that keep coming back (recurring).
Blood in the urine (hematuria).
Loss of bladder control (urinary incontinence) or an overactive bladder.

The term fetish and the element around it can be taken as far back and before the
18th century, the Portuguese, predominantly West African natives, referred to certain
objects that were used in religious cults and their workings during worship. These
religious objects and artefacts described were mainly used in voodoo and witch craft
and were believed to be incredibly supernatural items.
From this, the concept evolved from an item or object that is seen to have magical
and enchanting powers in a more primitive situation to something closer to what we
know now.

Austrian neurologist and psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud was one of the first people to
address the subject of sexual fetishism and wrote an essay on the matter. After his
investigation he d come to believe that the purpose and meaning behind an individual
s fetish would always be one and the same;
The fetish is a substitute for the penis...for a particular and quite special penis that
had been extremely important in early childhood but had later been lost......It remains
a token of triumph over the threat of castration and a protection against it.
Sigmund Freud, FETISHISM (1927)
According to Freud, a person s fetish, whether it may be a material object, act or
some sort of obsessive compulsive conduct, then that person is substituting the
connection to the penis that they had emotionally lost at childhood and finding
support in that object or action. The word FETISH in fact originated from Portugal,
the word feitiço which means spell . This suggests a representation of power or
power over something, in this case power over an individual and one s extreme
attachment to an object, body part or specific situation.
Carrying on from Freud s conclusions, which were made after studying and analysing
a number of men, he decided that the determination

Endangered Species Persuasive Essay

Back in 2014, Corey Knowlton was the target of countless death threats and

to his many talents, his popular image is one of a man, principled, steadfast,
courageous, who placed his own conscience above his king s demands. It was in
London that Thomas Morewas born on 7 February 1477, the only surviving son of
John More and his first wife, Agnes Graunger. John More was a successful lawyer
who was later knighted and made a judge of the King s Bench; he was prosperous
enough to send his son to London s best school. He was well connected and later
secured his son s appointment as a household page to John Morton, the archbishop
of Canterbury and Lord Chancellor of England. From a very young age Thomas
More proved himself to be a remarkable man. By his early 20 s he was lecturing on
St. Augustine s City of God to some of the foremost minds of his day as well as
rising rapidly through the ranks of his profession to become a prominent figure in
English society. More s adolescent years were spent under the reign of Henry VII,
the first Tudor king. His patron Morton was infamous as the architect of that king s
very successful, and subsequently very unpopular, tax policy. In 1504, More was
elected to Parliament and one of his first acts was to oppose Henry VII s request of a
grant of three fifteenths.
The Rights Of Service Delivery
In this paper I will provide an argument, and prove how rights based approaches to
development intersect with the discussion of service delivery proposed by Batley et al.
Batley et al argue that people, if organized, have the power to affect the services
they are provided. They provide a statement from the World Bank as their basis.
Direct accountability of service delivery organizations to users implies that citizens
can both organize demand for services and monitor their performance (p. 279). The
collective action of consumers becomes easier when the service they are being
provided is located in a small territory where users can encounter each other easier (p.
280). This collective action, bottom up approach, to demand and/or ... Show more

494). This intersects with the idea of Batley et al. that customers, if organized, are
able to use their power to demand or modify services provided. Additionally,
according the Batley et al. for citizens and clients to organize, the specific service
they desire to improve need to be in a territory with high density where users can
encounter each other (p. 280). This allows citizens to exchange daily debates about
the lack or poor quality of services. As a consequence, citizens organize around
shared desires to either improve or demand services. One example of the rights talk
approach intersection with Batley et al s service discussion is the work being done
by Shacks Dweller Internationals (S.D.I.), an NGO that works with slum community
members in various countries. This NGO raises the awareness of residents about their
sanitation issues. They provide a platform for community members to fight for their
right to have sanitation, while also providing a space for the residents to have
political inclusiveness in the process. Empowerment, inclusion and collective action
are essential principles to get desired results.
Batley et. al. would argue that slum citizens are able to organize because they are
located in a high density location. As a result they are able to share daily
experiences about either the bad quality or lack of
The Role Of Marketing In A Corporate Environment
The Role Of Marketing In A Corporate Environment
The definition of Marketing in the eleventh edition of Marketing: An Introduction is
stated as the process by which companies create value for customers and build strong
customer relationship in order to capture value from customers in return. How does
the corporate world successfully merge with marketing to satisfy the consumers
opinion of value? By designing a customer driven marketing strategy. One theory
from The Times 100 states that Effective marketing demands the identification and
understanding of target markets. Having a clear understanding of target markets
create an entry into providing a product that will sell. Marketing Mix also known as
the four P s (Product, Price, Promotion, and Distribution (Price) created in 1960 by
McCarthy is used by marketers throughout the world. Broken down into their
segments and defined as:
Product anything that can be offered to a market for attention, acquisition, use or
consumption that might satisfy a want or need.
Price amount of money charged for a product or service.
Promotion activities that communicate the merits of the product and persuade target
customers to buy it.
Place (distribution) company activities that make the product available to target
consumers.
With social and demographic changes the sale of products can be affected. So if
companies want to continue to add value to products there must be the introduction
of services to the mix.
Digital Marketing Essay
You Will Always Cut It With Any Of These Digital Marketing Techniques
Digital marketing keeps growing more and more everyday. Right now, digital
marketing is a big umbrella of several marketing techniques. This is why it is now
much more expensive to hire a digital marketing service provider.
Every mobile app development company includes digital marketing tools in their app.
A good example is the single push button with which you can send posts to all the
users of your app. The common digital marketing techniques have been outlined right
below.
1.Social media marketing
People are now generally obsessed with social media like Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter... etc. So, digital marketers take advantage by creating social media account to

The suggestion will hold water as other participants will take it as a non biased
opinion.
3.Email marketing
Digital advertisers send marketing emails to people that have subscribed for their
newsletters. However, before each mail is sent, there will be some profiling. The
people who may need the product are then filtered out. For instance, if the product is
ladies shoes, it will be sent to only ladies. And guys will be left out.
Email marketing has a lot of advantages. It is sent directly to only the intended
recipients. It is also about the most cost effective marketing techniques. Besides, you
can be able to track who received the mail and who didn t.
4.Google adwords
Google AdWords are keywords people are expected to type into Google search
engine when looking for certain products or services. As a company, you are
supposed to link these keywords to relevant landing pages on your website. This
means that when you adopt keywords like Buy a cheap raincoat , you are
supposed to link it to the exact landing page on your website that has all the
raincoats you offer and the price of each of them. It is wrong to link it to your home
page as it will waste the prospective buyer s time and also earn you low quality score.
For Google to display your site on its search engine result page (SERP), you have to
submit it to Google. However, Google has its own set of procedures for displaying
results. On its own, Google has to find, crawl and analyze
John Hay Open Door Policy
John Hay, the Secretary of State, first articulated the Open Door Policy in 1899.
The Secretary of State s intentions for the Open Door Policy was aimed to secure
international agreements for policy, trade and commerce with China. Prior to John
Hay, American policies with China were conducted under similar principles
however, were not official until he put the policy in writing and proposed it to the
powers in Europe. The Open Door was not an official United Statespolicy but was
considered notes sent between the Far East in the late 1800 s and half of the 1900
s. The Open Door notes were never a policy and were only drafts of notes sent
between John Hayand European countries in an attempt to establish equal trade
commerce and equal port availability regardless of nationality. John Hay battled for
years throughout the 19th century putting these notes into place. He strived to obtain

Hippisley and William E. Rockhill (history.state.gov). Both these men, experts in
China economy, believed that China trades and port access would be best protected
by an agreement. Hippisley and Rockhill suggested an agreement that would provide
a formality in trade and commercial activity among European powers. During the
same time the United States had just won the Spanish American war and had gained
control of Guam, Philippines and Hawaii. With growing economical power, the
United States became increasingly interested in China trade. Hippisley and Rockhill
proposed their ideas to John Hay. Hay would construct and draft the initial agreement.
John Hay sent the preliminary notes of policy to the countries that had an interest in
trades and the ports open around China. These countries included Great Britain,
France, Russia, Germany, and Japan. The original proposition was to establish a free
and open market for equal trading opportunities between all nationalities invested with
Analysis Of The Book Honey Dale County Essay
Sunday mornings in Honey Dale County was what those untraveled in the inferior
corners of the world may have stereotyped little towns down South, which although
accurate in this case, is nonetheless unwarranted to pass judgement on what one has
not seen. Yes, the devout and ostensibly devout would awake early, dressed in their
finest whites and yellows, the latter not minding that a few moments upon arrival
at church they would break the commandment against envy, scorning the Harper s
frivolous and new car yet clandestinely wishing it was theirs. At times, Morning
Prayer in these nooks of the world was more of a social critic than a communal
worship. An honest outsider, as I hope my dear readers will come to view myself
as, will come out of the experience with a greater amount of respect for the pious
than solely feed their disdain for the impersonators while a truly honest one would
have to acknowledge that the disdain stemmed for having seen oneself reflected in
such people. Of course, working up religious fervor also worked up hunger
amongst the townsfolk s bellies as Luther s break with the church was still felt
strongly in these parts two hundred years later ensuring a scarcity of Catholics, no
bread had been broken. It was here in a little restaurant that a daughter and her father
arrived, promptly seated at a lacquered wooden table, before the rush of Sunday
brunchers arriving all at once. Or rather an interesting girl, not quite a woman but too

Suvs Vs Suvs
From station wagons to SUVs, America has been going through phases with cars
since the first ones were sold. The sizes varied greatly along with the models
throughout the ages, but vehicles have remained relatively constant taking changing
times into account. The piece Swollen Expectations states that people in the present
day buy larger vehicleswith more amenities as a result of their higher material
expectations (De Graaf, Wann, Naylor); however, this proves to be uncorroborated
on account of size patterns, the consumers reasons for purchasing, and the types of
amenities available. Although SUVs are popular large cars, they shouldn t be used as
the exclusive example of every modern vehicles size. They symbolize just one data...

Subcompact cars and microcars such as the Volkswagen Beetle or the legendary
Smart Car, pertain to size trends in vehicles supplementing the pattern. They have
existed for years, steadily proliferating in popularity. This demonstrates a
contradiction to the testimony of growing vehicle size.
Despite the desire for small cars traveling through the population, the demand for
large cars is not likely to curtail, though not on account of high expectations. Lots of
room is one benefit of buying a larger car. This is advantageous for families,
especially ones who travel and need room for luggage. Gas mileage is the most
eminent factor. The comfort and roominess of a station wagon exists in a SUV
accompanied by the benefits of modern cars, including fuel efficiency. This was
important during the energy crisis of the 70 s and is still important today with the
ever growing gas prices (De Graas, Wann, Naylor). Safety brings up another benefit
of driving a larger vehicle. In the case of a wreck, large vehicles usually fare better
just because of their sheer size. Buyers typically prefer safety in their vehicle opting
to purchase a larger vehicle.
Accompanying reasonability, the fact that expensive cars can be a status symbol
does play a role in the consumers decision; however, people have bought expensive
things to flaunt since currency has existed. The only people who bought expensive
cars for looks were wealthy adults. Most people bought
Wolf Gang
Wolf Gang; The Sheep in wolves clothing
What is the line between being civilized and tamed, against acting wild and savage?
What separates human intellect against animalistic nature? Humans have animalistic
instincts, yet we fear it often choosing to hide it calling it taboo or deeming it
inappropriate to a civilized society. Famed Psychologist Sigmund Freud once stated,
The pleasure of satisfying a savage instinct, undomesticated by the ego, is
incomparably much more intense than the one of satisfying a tamed instinct (Freud,
?) What Freud is saying is that satisfying a tamed instinct is artificial, compared to
satisfying something that is engrained in our animal nature. Animal Nature connects
itself to the short story The Company of Wolves ... Show more content on

The story is interesting by raising questions about what the savage instincts represents
to a community that is in the edge of civilization, in a location where nature and
society clash. The story in short represents Sigmund Freud s clash of human nature
and the animal state (Id), the cultured state (ego) and the self state (superego) and the
representation of humanity in a state where there is no discernible difference between
humans and beasts. In the end the humans have the potential to be as savage as the
wolves in the right circumstances.
The circumstances that created this nature of humans as wolves are influenced partly
by the location in which the story takes place, the forest. Like the Original Red
Riding Hood story the woods are as ominous and threatening to the young female
protagonist. Unlike Red Riding Hood though, the story by Angela Carter is much
more specific on the wolves and what they represent as symbols of human barbarity.
In the story, it is stated that, It is winter and cold weather. In this region of mountain
and forest, there is now nothing for the wolves to eat. (Carter,1085). The wolves or
savagery is created through condition, the influence of the location makes human
harder both physically and mentally,
The State System Of Higher Education
The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) has, for decades,
provided an opportunity for students of all backgrounds to pursue higher education.
PASSHE has been an institution that allows students to gain knowledge, experience
and skills that can be applied to not only variables within their major concentration
but also within their everyday life. The state system has, for generations, developed
the traditional and nontraditional student s critical thinking and awareness that
allows these individuals to become contributing members of society whether it be
through monetary gains or social and environmental sustainability. However, through
many different outputs the state system is being threatened and faces problems that

This means a major decline for almost all universities programing as well as
environmental change to each school. This recent decline in the state budgeting
system primarily affects faculty, staff and students. Reasoning why a few Passhe
schools had to make cuts in their faculty and staffing rosters. Getting rid of professors
draws a two way deficit on both the programing system and students. Most programs
have been cut due to recent budgeting declining. Without a representative being able
to teach the subject, it no longer has any use to the department. Meanwhile, students
then have to be condensed in larger class sizes for the remaining professors to teach
them. Unfortunately, this brings a significant drawback on each university, making it
unsatisfying by some high school graduates who look into specific career paths which
are no longer an option. Enrollment is the next issue which continues to harm the
Passhe system. State funding being second to 70 percent of tuition dollars, is where
all universities under the Passhe branch will receive most of their funding. As we
discussed earlier on how the state system budgeting can affect Passhe. Enrollment is
another significant factor as well. When addressing enrollment, we must first look at
the loss of many high school graduates. Most high school graduates are
either exposed to two things, being opportunity cost or traditional learning. The
opportunity cost approach is where most
A Summary Of Miriam ToewsA Complicated Kindness
The culture depicted in Miriam Toews A Complicated Kindness is a counterculture to
modern society and Christianity. Countercultures can have either a negative or
positive impact on its members. In the case of East Village, it creates a constricting
environment where citizens are unable to expand their mind. It is a fundamentalist
Mennonite community where the church is the head of power. The citizens focus
most of their energy on being faithful followers of the church to ensure their place in
heaven when the rapture comes. As a result, people aren t given the tools they need to
succeed outside of their culturally isolated community. They take the bibleliterally

If someone sins or acts in a way the church deems inappropriate they are
excommunicated and forced to live in exile in their own home. Instead of giving
people support when they succumb to their weaknesses, the church casts them
out. The act of excommunication forces people to choose between their faith and
the love of their family. During the time period the novel is set, people were
encouraged to stand out and strive for better things. However, in East Village the
opposite is true. As Nomi said, [T]he biggest sin in our town was to be sure of
yourself (Toews 65). She goes on to say that, The second biggest sin in town was
to need a lot of things (Toews 65). This expresses how the citizens of East Village
are expected to accept what they have been given and remain satisfied with how life
is. The atmosphere is suffocating and leaves no room for personal growth or self
expression. It is this kind of environment that creates a counterculture within the
community; comprised mostly of young adults looking for an escape.
East Village is stuck in its old fashioned ways and reluctant to accept the changes
happening outside of their community. No trains run through town and the doctors
are given a hard time because they both represent modern ideologies. Within the
community, many people such as Lids parents believe that the best way to help their

The Deserters In Michael Shaara s The Killer Angels
In Michael Shaara s The Killer Angels toward the beginning of the book, the reader
learns of the Union s reception of one hundred twenty Old Maine deserters. The
men are sent to be dealt with by Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, a highly intelligent
Union Colonel. General Meade s orders are clear; either force the men to fight or
shoot them, as stated on page 18. Chamberlain speaks to the men, saying that he
refuses to kill them, but would greatly appreciate their help. His speech is rather
moving, as all but six men agree to fight. The question arises what would have
happened had the Union s Major General John Buford received the mutineers instead?
Through the elements of direct and indirect characterization, it is apparent that
Buford would have taken similar actions in addressing the issue of the deserters....

Sergeant was down and would never recover... He wiped his eyes. He thought: have

of life would cause him great emotional pain. The notion that Buford would have the

Thriving Generations Of The House Of Medici
The Impact of the Thriving Generations of the House of Medici The Renaissance
was an essential time period in European history, which occurred roughly between
1300 and 1600 in Florence, Italy. During this epoch, attributes of the Renaissance,
such as Classical humanism and an upbringing of political life spread throughout
Western Europe. Moreover, out of the 50,000 people in Florence, around 100 families
have influenced the Renaissance s attributes; the most notable of these being the
Medici family (Fiero 377 378). Beginning with Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s
establishment of the Medici Bank, the family acquired a significant amount of
wealth, rising their power during the fourteenth century. The bank expanded to the
farthest corners of Europe, in which they obtained political control over Florence and
the Church. Apart from the political influence, out of the four generations of the
House of Medici, Cosimo, or Cosimo the Elder, and Lorenzo, or Lorenzo the
Magnificent, have influenced the components of Classical humanism, consisting of
art, architecture, and literature. Due to their gain of wealth from the hands of
Giovanni di Bicci de Medici, the family was appointed succession over Florence,
allowing them to contribute to the rise of humanism and political ideals across
Europe. Because Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s establishment of the Medici Bank
has provided wealth under the Medici family name, the family was able to take over
the reign of Florence. The Medici

Do you ever wonder why things move and stop? Do you ever wonder why things

is the force which causes an object to fly. Drag is the force which slows an object
down while it is moving. And gravity is the force which pulls every object down.

Theme Of Pullman In Northern Lights
In Addition, Pullman s hate to the Church. Pullman always attacks churches and
priesthoods, the trouble is that all too often in human history, churches and
priesthoods have set themselves up to rule people s lives in the name of some
invisible god (and they re all invisible, because they don t exist) and done terrible
damage. In the name of their god, they have burned, hanged, tortured, maimed,
robbed, violated, and enslaved millions of their fellow creatures, and done so with
the happy conviction that they were doing the will of god, and they would go to
Heaven for it. That is the religion I hate, and I m happy to knowns as its enemy .
Pullman make the reader ask magnificent questions, like questions about universe
and how the universe was made, makes the Catholic Church accused Pullman s
writings as anti Christian and accused him of promoting a vision of the world which
leaves no room for hope. Even he has anti Christian ideologies and thoughts,

Pullman displays his enmity for the religion and Church through the novel, and
portrayed in the Church authority over society (the general oblation board). Pullman
also displays his ideologies in Lyra, she is disobedience, tomboy, curious, and what

The Debate Over The Legalization Of Hemp
The legalization of hemp has been a very controversial topic since it was made
illegal in 1937. However, through research in recent years that it has become more
evident that hemp is more than a drug, but a versatile, economical, friendly product
that can be used in a wide variety of resources with low impact on the environment.
Hempseed oil can be used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, inks, lubrication,
household detergents, varnishes, resins, and paints due to it is low in saturated
fats. Hemp is a great source for ethanol production which would help the fuel usage
that Americans use daily. Hemp can be grown very easily in different soil types.
The plant requires no pesticides and leaving it a very low key plant to grow. This
is a plant that can be used for many different necessities and goods that are used
today. Life as we know it was very different in the 1930 s. During this time
marijuana became illegal to grow and use both in its non THC strain and THC
strain. As of October of this year 2015 medical marijuana has been made legal in 23
states and recreational marijuana is legal in four. Thad Moore, from the Washington
Post, states that Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia
are among the 20 states that have enacted laws allowing researchers and farmers to
revive the long forbidden plant. And late last month, the North Carolina legislature
approved a proposal to do the same; that bill is on the governor s desk. ( The South

Pros And Cons Of Drone Attacks
On February 4, 2002, for the first time, an unmanned predator drone was used in an
air strike near the city of Khost in the Paktia province of Afghanistan. Three men
were killed in the strike, although the target of the mission, Osama Bin Laden, turned
out to not be there. There has been much debate as to whether the benefits of drone
warfare outweigh the risks, however there are more pros then cons to drone warfare
(Powers).
The use of drone strikes has increased over the years. Only 50 strikes were
approved by the Bush administration, whereas the Obama administration approved
506 strikes (Powers). Drone strikes haven proven to be very useful. They helped to
bring down a huge terrorist threat to the United States. According to Michael V.
Hayden, a retired Air Force four star general and author of Playing to the Edge:
American Intelligence in the Age of Terror, drone strikes disrupted terrorist plots
and reduced the original Qaeda organization along the Afghanistan Pakistan border
to a shell of its former self. . Drone strikes were crucial in stopping Osama Bin Laden
. The strikes worried the leadership of Al Qaeda, and they wanted to stop operations
and go into hiding. Drone strikes have succeeded in causing fear throughout Al Qaeda
and taking out many members of the organization, making any losses well worth it
(Hayden).
One major downfall in using drones in warfare is the loss of civilian lives, but the
military takes many steps to prevent this. It is debated as to
My Reflection Of My Nursing Experience In The ED
This Friday, September 15th, I had my clinical observation experience in the ED. I
was there from 7:00 am till noon, viewing the flow and duties of the nursing staff on
the unit, as well as practicing the skills I have thus learned in school. Throughout
most of the morning, I followed Jessica, who had been a nursein the ER for ten years.
It was an insightful experience that broadened my previously limited knowledge of
the roles and experience of an emergency nurse.
Several of the roles which I observed this morning were expected: the nurses took
vitals for incoming patients, performed focused assessments, and were the main
communicators between family, the patient, and the physician. I realized when the
first patient came in around 10:00 am, the RN s role in assessments, gathering blood
work, and carrying out all the necessary steps to situate and stabilize the patient as
soon as possible. It was incredible seeing the nurses work together, in sync, in those
first moments when the patient was brought in. And though expected, I appreciated
seeing just how much communication was held and information was gathered from
the patient or family members by the nurse. Jessica asked the right questions from
both parties, while still showing incredible empathy and not making the whole
situation seem rushed and flustering. I understood this as another essential role of the
nurse in the ED; he or she must maintain even in such a fast paced environment
empathy and focus in each interaction.
When I spoke with Jessica I inquired more about the training and certifications
required to work as an ER nurse and foster such skills. She informed me of the
necessity of having ACLS and BLS certification, as well as of the VA s specific
trauma nurse courses. All members on the ED are also required to have a PMDB
certification (Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior). She added that a
majority of the nursing staff are certified as emergency nurses.
I learned from Jessica and the other staff about their interpersonal techniques to
manage the stress found in the ED. They each mentioned facilitating debriefing and
chats with each other when especially chaotic or stressful occasions arise. I learned
there are weekly meetings
The Logistics Department Of The United States Marine
Corps
The Logistics department in the United States Marine Corps is comprised of essential
components that contribute to the success of the entire organization. The success of
the department is dependent upon the productivity of each employee. Performance
evaluation, workplace rewards, and goal setting play an important role in the
employee s level of productivity and overall job satisfaction.
Logistics Department
Major Components
In the United States Marine Corps, the Logistics department is an essential
component of the organization. The logistics department handles embarkation,
supply and weapons management, maintenance of equipment, health services
support, transportation, and ammunition (S 4, n.d.). Within the Logistics department,
every employee has a unique title and job description. The junior employees may
have one or two other coworkers with their same title and set of responsibilities.
Self Management
The unique responsibilities that every employee has require a great deal of
competence and autonomy in the field. Employees are expected to carry out their
duties and send an update at the end of each working day. When it comes to daily
tasks such as updating inventory records, dispatching vehicles, or training
subordinates, self management is allowed. Autonomy helps to fulfill basic human
needs and increases job satisfaction. However, in the military, many processes and
decisions require the utilization of the chain of command. For example, if an
employee has run out of
The Development Through Physical Education
Figure 1
A table to show the development through Physical Education.
Fundamental movement skills (FMS) are basic skills. These skills begin to be
developed throughout the early years of life, from crawling to walking, from
walking to running. Pickup and Price (2007) say that children gain control over
their bodies by moving in a variety of ways. They go on to say that children have
various and versatile movements to interact with the environment. Once the FMS
skills are developed, physical progress in Physical Education (PE) can be made.
Emotional well being is promoted in PE. Pickup et al (2008 p.5) suggests that
engaging in physical activity can enhance significantly the personal confidence and
self esteem . Therefore, to have a child that is unconfident, PE could be a barrier to
their learning. To help a child become more confident, progress with that child must
be made through physical activity to overcome their barrier. Likewise, Pickup and
Price (2007) state that physical education contributes to the development of self
esteem. It has been suggested that self esteem is influenced by the child s perception
of competence.
Motivation plays a key role in PE. Pickup and Price (2007) state that enjoyment
during physical activity can lead to enhanced motivation. Motivation is the drive
factor that helps us achieve goals. Pickup and Price (2007), and Lavin (2015) agree
that cross curricular learning can deepen children s understanding and enhance
learning. Pickup and

The Relationships of Waverly Jong and Jing mei Woo in The Joy Luck Club
Amy Tan in her novel The Joy Luck Club presents us with daughters who are striving
to place themselves beyond the control of strong mothers and become individuals.
Adrienne Rich in her book Of Woman Born calls this splitting from the mother,
matraphobia (Rich, 235), and later notes: The mother stands for the victim in
ourselves, the unfree woman, the martyr. Our personalities seem dangerously to blur
and overlap with our mothers; and, in a desperate attempt to know where mother ends
and daughter begins we perform radical surgery. (Rich, 236) Tan shows us two
characters in her novel who consciously split from their mother when they feel unable

Jing mei also makes an attempt to split from her mother in order to know where
she begins and her mother ends. Jing mei perceives that her mother doesn t like
her for who she is and feels her mother is always trying to change her into
something she s not. Looking into the mirror one night she makes the break from
her mother: The girl staring back at me was angry, powerful. This girl and I were
the same. I had new thoughts, willful thoughts, or rather thoughts fill with lots of
won ts. I won t let her change me, I promised myself. I won t be what I m not. (Tan
134)
As the novel progresses, Tan shows through the various stories that this separation of
mother and daughter is damaging. Because of this splitting and lack of
communication between the mother and daughter, the daughters perpetuate some of
the harmful gender and cultural constructions from which their mothers had hoped to
protect them. An mei Hsu
The Sapphires Analysis
Analyse how the use of film features shaped your response to one or more themes in
the film. Wayne Blair, director of The Sapphires used a combination of
cinematography, dialogue, flashbacks and voiceover throughout the film. These film
techniques developed my understanding of the extent of prejudice and the
consequence prejudice can have. The director used these techniques to show the
prejudice by White Australians, Aborigines faced in Australia. The pub scene in the
Australian Outback helped me understand the consequences of prejudice through the
combination of dialogue and cinematography. These film features shows the unfair
treatment that Aborigines endured because of their race. The mid shots showed how
the white Australian audience at the pub Talent Quest ignore the two Aborigine
sisters as they began to sin. A panning shot showed the audience s disapproving and
disgusted looks as they avoided eye contact with the sisters. Clearly contrasting with
the warm and enthusiastic cheers given to the white Australian performers before
them, as also shown in a panning shot. Noticing the coldness of the crowd, Gail says,
Thanks for the half heart applause. The dialogue and camera shots clearly outlined
the difference in treatment between Aborigines and White Australians in Australia.
This clearly shows the inequality between the two races, as Aborigines were clearly
mistreated based on their appearance. At the end of the Talent Quest, after the White
Australian performer
My Speech On My Life
We have been just sitting here, we have not said much. I feel so much better in this
moment in time. I don t need friends or even someone to talk to. I am fine the way
I am, the only wish I had was just to not be alone. I will be fine as long I have
someone next to me. That person does not have to talk, they can just sit here next
to me like yoongi is. I fine with that, I get so needy and out of control when I am
left alone. I start wanting things I know I can t have. I start to feel things that I
know will never happen. namjoon I know you don t talk much, but just know that
you talk to me about anything. I will listen to you, and won t judge you I promise.
This is about the 3rd time yoongi has told me this, I guess he really wants me to talk
to him more. I can understand to a point because that is what normal people do. you
know what I wantto do yoongi. I want to fly away, to be a star in the sky. Everything
just seems better up there in the sky. There are nice and fluffy clouds, there are
birds with the freedom to fly away. At night there are so many other stars and the
moon. up their I would never be alone. Up there nothing can touch me, up there
nothing can hurt me. I want to forever live in the sky, it is better than this world or
the people here. Also the hate and love that is all around. It all just get to be too
much. He gave me a worried look but he did not say anything. I think it was for the
best for him not to say anything, I don t know what he would

Three Situations When You Should Consider Using a Temporary Employment
Agency Hiring people can take time, and time is money. You have to advertise in
some manner, then interview people. After you hire new workers, you have the
cost of payroll along with benefits that your are likely to provide. However, in
certain situations, you can avoid all of this by using a temporary staffing agency.
The following are three situations you should consider suing this type of service. If
you are experiencing growth after a downturn If your business has suffered from a
downturn in your industry and this has led to laying off a large percentage of your
workforce, you may be hesitant to hire full time employees as your business begins
to grow again because
Essay on Israel s Surrender of the Gaza Strip Did Not...
In 2005, the Israeli government decided to give up the Gaza Strip, including Gush
Katif, in an effort to bring peace to the middle east. They did not take into
consideration much of the consequences of their actions. The attempt to create
peace by giving Gush Katif to the Palestinians not only did not have that effect, but
the exact opposite effect, creating more violence between the Israelis and the
Palestinians, as well as a lack of trust between the government and some of the
Israeli people. Gush Katif is a village in the Middle East that is a part of the Gaza
Strip. In 2005, it was given to the Palestinians by the Israeli government. Gush Katif
was home to 1,800 religious Jewish families, 8,500 people, from both traditional and

Due to its close proximity to Palestinian land, Gush Katif was a constant location
for terrorist attacks. The first main attack was by the Gaza palestinians in
December of 1987. The residents of Gush Katif did not know how to handle the
conflict. Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin said that they will help Gush Katif and
prove to the palestinians that they will not win through violence, no matter how
long it takes. Another famous bombing in Gush Katif was the November 20th
2000 school bus bombing. At 7:30am, a bomb blew up a school bus carrying
children to school. Two children were killed and nine were critically injured. Three
siblings had to get amputations. There were also constant attacks to vehicles on
Kissufim road, most of which were suicide bombings on children s busses. Lots of
people got hurt. Despite all the terrorism, the residents of Gush Katif were not afraid
of living there. They claimed that this land was given to them in the Torah and that
all of Israel had their problems so they would not feel safer in the center of Tel Aviv.
In 2004, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced The Disengagement Plan. This plan
stated that the residents of Gush Katif and other villages throughout Gaza would be
expelled from their homes and their land would be given to the palestinians. The
government hoped that this would reduce fighting between the
Garcia Vs Google
YouTube is the best source for examples of free speech. Ever since the day the
website open, YouTube has become the source to publish videos. People make
videos on any topic. Most of the time, YouTube is full of parodies made by
independent content creators. Many of these videos create a follow on the person
who made them. There are times in which people publish a video that creates a
controversy. When Innocence of Muslims was posted on YouTube
, it causes a
problem in which people believe the video provoked violence. This video creates
many problems for example riots in Muslim countries, and supposedly Benghazi.
Besides having an offensive message, it made the people involved with this project
to fear for their lives. Innocence of Muslims is... Show more content on

She stated that she had to control the video and that the director and producer had
all of it. Garcia felt like it violated her rights as she was also involved creating the
video, and has a voice to express her opinion on the final product. According to an
article by Benjamin Boroughf, he states that the resulting high cost of human
review means the copyright owner may no longer be the least cost avoider for
detecting online infringement . This article mostly focuses on copyright claims,
but it also analysis the user s rights. The person who uploads a video on YouTube
has less power on it, due to copyright infringement. Other people who were
involved with the video can also remove it from YouTube, just because they had
some kind of an involvement with it. The supreme court case of Viacom
International Inc. v. YouTube, Inc. made the verdict that Google has the right to
keep or delete the video. No matter if the video is stolen, it belongs to the website.
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act protects YouTube from other media outlet
from taking away its ability to get rid of a video. In order to have a video removed,
there have to be four factors that give the offensive to have the right to take away a
motion picture from someone else. According to Peter Dang, the court must take a
case by case approach generally guided by a four factor balancing test to determine if

John More was a successful lawyer who was later knighted and made a judge of the King s Bench; he was prosperous enough to send his son to London s best school. This allows citizens to exchange daily debates about the lack or poor quality of services. As a consequence, citizens organize around shared desires to either improve or demand services. One example of the rights talk approach intersection with Batley et al s service discussion is the work being done by Shacks Dweller Internationals (S.D.I.), an NGO that works with slum community members in various countries. This NGO raises the awareness of residents about their sanitation issues. They provide a platform for community members to fight for their right to have sanitation, while also providing a space for the residents to have political inclusiveness in the process. Every mobile app development company includes digital marketing tools in their app. A good example is the single push button with which you can send posts to all the users of your app. The common digital marketing techniques have been outlined right below. 1.Social media marketing People are now generally obsessed with social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter... etc. So, digital marketers take advantage by creating social media account to ... However, before each mail is sent, there will be some profiling. The people who may need the product are then filtered out. For instance, if the product is ladies shoes, it will be sent to only ladies. And guys will be left out. Email marketing has a lot of advantages. It is sent directly to only the intended recipients. It is also about the most cost effective marketing techniques. Besides, you can be able to track who received the mail and who didn t. 4.Google adwords Google AdWords are keywords people are expected to type into Google search engine when looking for certain products or services. As a company, you are supposed to link these keywords to relevant landing pages on your website. This means that when you adopt keywords like Buy a cheap raincoat , you are supposed to link it to the exact landing page on your website that has all the raincoats you offer and the price of each of them. It is wrong to link it to your home page as it will waste the prospective buyer s time and also earn you low quality score. For Google to display your site on its search engine result page (SERP), you have to submit it to Google. However, Google has its own set of procedures for displaying results. On its own, Google has to find, crawl and analyze

The Secretary of State s intentions for the Open Door Policy was aimed to secure international agreements for policy, trade and commerce with China. Prior to John Hay, American policies with China were conducted under similar principles however, were not official until he put the policy in writing and proposed it to the powers in Europe. The Open Door was not an official United Statespolicy but was considered notes sent between the Far East in the late 1800 s and half of the 1900 s. The Open Door notes were never a policy and were only drafts of notes sent between John Hayand European countries in an attempt to establish equal trade commerce and equal port availability regardless of nationality. During the same time the United States had just won the Spanish American war and had gained control of Guam, Philippines and Hawaii. With growing economical power, the United States became increasingly interested in China trade. Hippisley and Rockhill proposed their ideas to John Hay. Hay would construct and draft the initial agreement. John Hay sent the preliminary notes of policy to the countries that had an interest in trades and the ports open around China. These countries included Great Britain, France, Russia, Germany, and Japan. The original proposition was to establish a free and open market for equal trading opportunities between all nationalities invested with
  • 29. Analysis Of The Book Honey Dale County Essay Sunday mornings in Honey Dale County was what those untraveled in the inferior corners of the world may have stereotyped little towns down South, which although accurate in this case, is nonetheless unwarranted to pass judgement on what one has not seen. Yes, the devout and ostensibly devout would awake early, dressed in their finest whites and yellows, the latter not minding that a few moments upon arrival at church they would break the commandment against envy, scorning the Harper s frivolous and new car yet clandestinely wishing it was theirs. At times, Morning Prayer in these nooks of the world was more of a social critic than a communal worship. An honest outsider, as I hope my dear readers will come to view myself as, will come out of the experience with a greater amount of respect for the pious than solely feed their disdain for the impersonators while a truly honest one would have to acknowledge that the disdain stemmed for having seen oneself reflected in such people. Of course, working up religious fervor also worked up hunger amongst the townsfolk s bellies as Luther s break with the church was still felt strongly in these parts two hundred years later ensuring a scarcity of Catholics, no bread had been broken. It was here in a little restaurant that a daughter and her father arrived, promptly seated at a lacquered wooden table, before the rush of Sunday brunchers arriving all at once. Or rather an interesting girl, not quite a woman but too sagacious to insult

The sizes varied greatly along with the models throughout the ages, but vehicles have remained relatively constant taking changing times into account. The piece Swollen Expectations states that people in the present day buy larger vehicleswith more amenities as a result of their higher material expectations (De Graaf, Wann, Naylor); however, this proves to be uncorroborated on account of size patterns, the consumers reasons for purchasing, and the types of amenities available. Subcompact cars and microcars such as the Volkswagen Beetle or the legendary Smart Car, pertain to size trends in vehicles supplementing the pattern. They have existed for years, steadily proliferating in popularity. This demonstrates a contradiction to the testimony of growing vehicle size. Despite the desire for small cars traveling through the population, the demand for large cars is not likely to curtail, though not on account of high expectations. Lots of room is one benefit of buying a larger car. This is advantageous for families, especially ones who travel and need room for luggage. Gas mileage is the most eminent factor. The comfort and roominess of a station wagon exists in a SUV accompanied by the benefits of modern cars, including fuel efficiency. This was important during the energy crisis of the 70 s and is still important today with the ever growing gas prices (De Graas, Wann, Naylor). Safety brings up another benefit of driving a larger vehicle. In the case of a wreck, large vehicles usually fare better just because of their sheer size. Buyers typically prefer safety in their vehicle opting to purchase a larger vehicle. Accompanying reasonability, the fact that expensive cars can be a status symbol does play a role in the consumers decision; however, people have bought expensive things to flaunt since currency has existed. The only people who bought expensive cars for looks were wealthy adults. Most people bought

What separates human intellect against animalistic nature? Humans have animalistic instincts, yet we fear it often choosing to hide it calling it taboo or deeming it inappropriate to a civilized society. Famed Psychologist Sigmund Freud once stated, The pleasure of satisfying a savage instinct, undomesticated by the ego, is incomparably much more intense than the one of satisfying a tamed instinct (Freud, ?) What Freud is saying is that satisfying a tamed instinct is artificial, compared to satisfying something that is engrained in our animal nature. The story is interesting by raising questions about what the savage instincts represents to a community that is in the edge of civilization, in a location where nature and society clash. The story in short represents Sigmund Freud s clash of human nature and the animal state (Id), the cultured state (ego) and the self state (superego) and the representation of humanity in a state where there is no discernible difference between humans and beasts. In the end the humans have the potential to be as savage as the wolves in the right circumstances. The circumstances that created this nature of humans as wolves are influenced partly by the location in which the story takes place, the forest. Like the Original Red Riding Hood story the woods are as ominous and threatening to the young female protagonist. Unlike Red Riding Hood though, the story by Angela Carter is much more specific on the wolves and what they represent as symbols of human barbarity. In the story, it is stated that, It is winter and cold weather. In this region of mountain and forest, there is now nothing for the wolves to eat. (Carter,1085). The wolves or savagery is created through condition, the influence of the location makes human harder both physically and mentally,

This recent decline in the state budgeting system primarily affects faculty, staff and students. Reasoning why a few Passhe schools had to make cuts in their faculty and staffing rosters. Getting rid of professors draws a two way deficit on both the programing system and students. Most programs have been cut due to recent budgeting declining. Without a representative being able to teach the subject, it no longer has any use to the department. Meanwhile, students then have to be condensed in larger class sizes for the remaining professors to teach them. Unfortunately, this brings a significant drawback on each university, making it unsatisfying by some high school graduates who look into specific career paths which are no longer an option. Enrollment is the next issue which continues to harm the Passhe system. State funding being second to 70 percent of tuition dollars, is where all universities under the Passhe branch will receive most of their funding. As we discussed earlier on how the state system budgeting can affect Passhe. Enrollment is another significant factor as well. When addressing enrollment, we must first look at the loss of many high school graduates. Most high school graduates are either exposed to two things, being opportunity cost or traditional learning. During the time period the novel is set, people were encouraged to stand out and strive for better things. However, in East Village the opposite is true. As Nomi said, [T]he biggest sin in our town was to be sure of yourself (Toews 65). She goes on to say that, The second biggest sin in town was to need a lot of things (Toews 65). Thriving Generations Of The House Of Medici The Impact of the Thriving Generations of the House of Medici The Renaissance was an essential time period in European history, which occurred roughly between 1300 and 1600 in Florence, Italy. During this epoch, attributes of the Renaissance, such as Classical humanism and an upbringing of political life spread throughout Western Europe. Moreover, out of the 50,000 people in Florence, around 100 families have influenced the Renaissance s attributes; the most notable of these being the Medici family (Fiero 377 378). Beginning with Giovanni di Bicci de Medici s establishment of the Medici Bank, the family acquired a significant amount of wealth, rising their power during the fourteenth century. The bank expanded to the farthest corners of Europe, in which they obtained political control over Florence and the Church. Apart from the political influence, out of the four generations of the House of Medici, Cosimo, or Cosimo the Elder, and Lorenzo, or Lorenzo the Magnificent, have influenced the components of Classical humanism, consisting of art, architecture, and literature. Due to their gain of wealth from the hands of Giovanni di Bicci de Medici, the family was appointed succession over Florence, allowing them to contribute to the rise of humanism and political ideals across Europe. I was there from 7:00 am till noon, viewing the flow and duties of the nursing staff on the unit, as well as practicing the skills I have thus learned in school. Throughout most of the morning, I followed Jessica, who had been a nursein the ER for ten years. It was an insightful experience that broadened my previously limited knowledge of the roles and experience of an emergency nurse. Several of the roles which I observed this morning were expected: the nurses took vitals for incoming patients, performed focused assessments, and were the main communicators between family, the patient, and the physician. I realized when the first patient came in around 10:00 am, the RN s role in assessments, gathering blood work, and carrying out all the necessary steps to situate and stabilize the patient as soon as possible. It was incredible seeing the nurses work together, in sync, in those first moments when the patient was brought in. And though expected, I appreciated seeing just how much communication was held and information was gathered from the patient or family members by the nurse. Jessica asked the right questions from both parties, while still showing incredible empathy and not making the whole situation seem rushed and flustering. I understood this as another essential role of the nurse in the ED; he or she must maintain even in such a fast paced environment empathy and focus in each interaction. When I spoke with Jessica I inquired more about the training and certifications required to work as an ER nurse and foster such skills. She informed me of the necessity of having ACLS and BLS certification, as well as of the VA s specific trauma nurse courses. All members on the ED are also required to have a PMDB certification (Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior). She added that a majority of the nursing staff are certified as emergency nurses. I learned from Jessica and the other staff about their interpersonal techniques to manage the stress found in the ED. They each mentioned facilitating debriefing and chats with each other when especially chaotic or stressful occasions arise. I learned there are weekly meetings
