Discursive Essay Structure
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Discursive Essay Structure" can present both challenges and
opportunities. The difficulty lies not only in the need for a clear understanding of the subject
matter but also in the requirement to present a balanced and well-reasoned argument. The
discursive essay structure demands a meticulous approach to organization, with a focus on
developing a coherent and logical flow of ideas.
One of the complexities in composing such an essay is striking the right balance between
presenting different perspectives and maintaining a unified and well-supported argument. This
involves thorough research, critical analysis, and the ability to articulate thoughts effectively.
Creating a discursive essay requires the writer to navigate through contrasting viewpoints,
addressing each with fairness and depth while avoiding bias.
Furthermore, constructing a compelling introduction that captivates the reader's attention and
provides a clear roadmap for the essay's development is essential. The body paragraphs should be
structured meticulously, with each paragraph dedicated to a specific aspect of the argument.
Achieving cohesion between paragraphs and ensuring a smooth transition from one point to
another is another layer of complexity.
Additionally, the conclusion must bring together the various threads of the argument,
summarizing key points and leaving a lasting impression on the reader. Striking the right tone
throughout the essay, maintaining a formal and objective style, adds another layer of difficulty.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Discursive Essay Structure" demands a combination of
research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. It requires a commitment to
presenting diverse viewpoints while maintaining a coherent and persuasive overall argument.
Despite the challenges, mastering the art of discursive essay writing can be a valuable skill,
enhancing one's ability to engage with complex topics and communicate ideas effectively.

The Hierarchy Of Gender Is An Issue That The Entire
World...
The hierarchy of gender is an issue that the entire world has faced for many years.
In the United States, there is a large problem with women being represented in
politics. This can be traced back to how children are placed into different
hierarchies of males being masculine and females being feminine through their
clothes, toys, and more. However, the issue is also caused by the media s portray of
female politicians in comparison to male politicians. The media s reporting of the
2016 presidential candidates have impacted the way the candidates speak on each
other, and the general publics opinion on different candidates.
In the United States, people are faced with the hierarchy of gender from childhood.
Infant males are designated with blue, seen as superior and masculine, while infant
females are given the color pink in all aspects to be seen as feminine. This culture
transpires into their young childhood in the forms of toys. Female toys are often
domesticated items such as playhouses, kitchen sets, and baby dolls. On the other
hand, male toys are more career oriented, construction sets, science experiment kits,
policemen and firefighting figurines. As the children grow up, they are trained to
think within this gender dichotomy of masculine versus feminine. It is well known
that women are not see as prevalent in the United States government. Only twenty
five percent of legislative positions are held by women in the country, there has never
been a female president, and
Essay The Importance of Plants
Humans depend on plants in numerous ways. One reason we depend on plants is for
consumption. Plants have the unique ability of producing their own food through a
process called photosynthesis. In this process, plants are able to produce
macromolecules such as carbohydrates that cannot be produced in animals or
humans. In humans, the only to gain these macromolecules is to consume plant
matter, or consume plant eating animals (herbivores).
When humans consume plants, the carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins that are
broken down through two forms of cellular respiration. The two processes of
cellular respiration displayed in humans are anaerobic or aerobic. The deciding
process used depends on the presence of oxygen. Cellular respiration ... Show more

This means that humans not only need plants for eating, but also need their created
oxygen to break the food down efficiently.
In humans, cellular respiration also produces heat also needed in the body for
thermoregulation, Thermoregulation that is an example of temperature homeostasis
in humans, requires heat energy to maintain a relatively constant internal temperature.
All the heat energy that is needed for survival would not exist without plants.
Water is also a requirement in humans, and is needed for the body to balance fluid
through osmoregulation. By consuming plants, the water that they contain will also
be transferred to the consumer. An example of this could be in the consumption of
coconuts. Coconuts usually contain a good supply of water. The water found in
young coconuts contains electrolytes and a pH level similar to human blood. This
could be beneficial by providing fast hydration and are normally found in warm
tropical climates where hydration is a major concern.
Other then being used for consumption, plants also provide shelter from the
environment. Trees provide shade, which creates a cooler temperature that helps
prevent dehydration. They also provide fruit and shelter for animals for human
consumption. Trees are also cut up into wood for building houses and making tools
needed for hunting and protection from predators. Humans have an advantage over
animals because of our greater intelligence that permitted the discovery of tools.

What Are The Benefits Of Extending The School Year Essay
How would you feel sitting for 8 hours a day twelve months a year having to
information bombarded to you? The two months of summer break that we students
currently have are probably one the most valued and anticipated for every teenager.
They see themselves relaxing, going on vacations, visiting family, and creating great
memories during those two months of freedom. Regrettably this prospect may no
longer be available, since the local schoolboard proposes to change the school year
from ten months to year round. They seem persistent on extending the school year
with the argument of expanding educational opportunities. Contrary to what many
think extending the school year will bring about a myriad of problems not just for the
students but to the community. Chiefly it drastically effect the economy, there will
be no real educational impact, and lastly it interfere with any and all plans that
student have for their precious summer vacation.
Increasing the school year could have significant lasting economic effects. Logically
thinking most families go on extended vacations during summer break and stay at
hotels or resorts. According to Fox News In the town of Wildwood about 7 million
tourists inundate the beaches from June to September and spend around 555 million
dollars oh hotels, foods and entertainment. Nevertheless if school was extended
during this time kids would have to say in school witch would hurt our already poor
economy. Not only would it affect business but if it
Essay on Stereotypes in media
Bringing Down the House featuring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah is a clever
comedy that creatively showcases the sociolinguistic phenomena covered in this
course. The film is about a tax attorney named Peter, played by Martin, who stumbles
into an online lawyer chat room and meets Charlene, played by Latifah. The two chat
frequently, mostly about court cases, and eventually decide to meet in person. When
the day finally comes, Peter is greeted at the door with who he thought would be a
middle aged Caucasian woman, but happened to be Charlene, a black womanwho just
escaped from prison. Thinking this was a mistake, Peter tries to kickout Charlene but
is later convinced she is the one who he was speaking with in the chat room. Charlene

In attempt to do so, he uses Sarah s language that he believes she would be more
inclined to listen to. The father s usage of the modern hip hop language is an
example of generational conflict. Implied by other clips in the movie, we conclude
the father s environment as an attorney requires him to use a more conservative
language that has been more or less designated to his generation. This contrasts with
the daughters modern and hip hop language that incorporates many slang
terminologies, non standard English sentences and phrases, and a very relaxed
tone. Although we see the father is able to put a couple sentences together,
everything from his tone and range clearly show his inexperience to the speech. An
example to showcase his failure is when he attempts to say an he try da get al up in
dat. The father used the same expression but with different pronunciation. Peter says
and he tried to get all up in that, which is clearly too formal for this speech and loses
the flavor of what makes the language so authentic to the hip hop generation. Peter
and Sarah both speak standard English, but this is another example of how it can
vary. Even though the two are family and from the same class, their generation gap
influences the variation of English they speak.
In this clip of the film, in attempt to help clear Charlene s name, the father
Ethical Responsiveness Of The Criminal Justice System

Bodily Piercing and Tattooing
Bodily piercing and tattooing are regarded to some as art or adornment, to others, a
purposeful religious sentiment. Many individuals fail to entirely consider the
fulminant risks associated with penetrating subcutaneous tissue with foreign bodies.
The human body is composed of complex systems and mechanisms, which interact in
order to maintain homeostasis. When deviancy disrupts the bodily chemical
reactions, the internal processes operating to uphold optimal living conditions will be
altered. The human body requires tight limitations of cell, tissue, organ, and organ
system activity in order to function properly. As humans, bodily piercings are
considered foreign, unfamiliar objects to our anatomy. Correspondingly, our bodies
have been known to, at times reject these piercings potentially resulting in medical
ailments. In healthcare, providers are increasingly faced with treating complications
related to body piercing. (Ramman ) Ear and nose piercingare the earliest documented
styles of piercings dating from 1500 BC. African and American cultures discovered
oral piercings, including those of the lip and tongue. While the nipple and genital
piercings have been said to derive from ancient Indians. The contemporary way of
life brought about different styles and methods of piercing, such as surface piercing.
The investigation of the impact on health care providers and practice of bodily

The increasing demand for housing and growing interest in environmentally friendly

water vapor permanence, water vapor absorption rate, thermal conductivity and

performance index of the building insulation material. The building envelopes are

I plan to use the credit line tied to the 3months T bill rate. In loanable funds market

market is interest rate.
Scenario a The growth rate of GDP in the U.S is expected to increase
Since there is an expectation on the U.S GDP to increase, this means the increasing
labor force in the market that indirectly increases the consumption and investments.
May be the government s spending potential is also increasing. These factors would
create more demands in the loanable funds market. So the demand and supply in the
loanable funds market determines the interest rates. The following exhibit 1a shows

Real interest rate = Nominal Interest Rate Inflationary premium
Exhibit 1b illustrates how inflation influences nominal interest rates. We consider a
3% market interest rate as a stable price. Assume the expected rate of inflation is
zero, there will be no inflationary premium; under these conditions the nominal
interest rate is equal to the real interest rate. Now there is an expectation of inflation
goes higher, forecasted 2% inflation, so the real interest rate now becomes to 1%
(based on the real interest rate formula). This case I am better off my firm s future
financing cost if I use the credit line.
Usually it is not going to work that way. When lenders expect inflation, they will be
pushing the interest rate upward by the expected inflation. This case the nominal
interest rate is going to be 5% and the real interest rate would become 3%. Lenders
may not always forecast the future rate of inflation accurately. If the inflation is
higher than was expected then my firm will gain. On the other hand if the inflation
rate is less than anticipated then lenders will gain. Therefore, no reason why the
inflation will help either my firm or lenders.

Things Fall Apart Research Paper
Things Fall Apart, the novel penned by Nigerian author Chinua Achebe, portrays the
daily struggles of its protagonist Okonkwo. Alongside Okonkwo are his family and
the villagers of Umuofia, whose culture and religion are ridiculed by white Christian
missionaries. The missionaries ridicule Igbo culture due to their belief in
preconceived stereotypes that assume Africans are helpless and needy. In an effort to
combat such stereotypes, Achebe s purpose in writing Things Fall Apartis to normalize
African identity by incorporating various universal and mundane aspects of Igbo
culture, including oral tradition in the form of proverbs, cultural tradition, and
familial relationships. As Achebe portrays Igbo culture in a relatable way, he includes

When Okonkwo returns to his motherland, his uncle Uchendu provides him with
some advice: A man belongs to his fatherland when things are good and life is
sweet. But when there is sorrow and bitterness he finds refuge in his motherland.
Your mother is there to protect you (Achebe, TFA 134). With this advice,
Okonkwo is reminded of his mother s role in the family the role of the protector
and guardian. Uchendu is referring to Okonkwo s flight from his father s village
in Umuofia since Okonkwo was banished for accidentally killing a young boy.
Together with the father figure, the mother figure is one of the two integral parts of
the African family. The mother figure can be seen in many cultures, including
Western culture, and humanizes all who come to her for help. The Igbo mother
allows Okonkwo, the stubborn protagonist, to show his culpable human side. Even
though the mother figure has an important role in the African family, the father
figure has a more pronounced role in the family due to patriarchal norms. In Igbo
family life, the husband is supposed to take charge over his wives and assert his
authority. Because Okonkwo has to assert such authority over his wives, he [gives
one of his wives] a sound beating and [leaves] her and her only daughter weeping
(Achebe, TFA 38). Okonkwo wants to prove his manliness to the rest of the village
because his reputation and honor rely on his willingness to be the aggressive and
dominant member in his familial unit. Just as Okonkwo wants to protect his
manhood, Western men of his time wanted to uphold theirs as well, since Igbo and
Western cultures both placed men at the helm of families and patriarchal

Comparison Of Various Metallization Schemes For Ohmic...
Comparison of various metallization schemes for ohmic contacts to n type GaN.
Abstract:
Three ohmic contact metallization schemes to n type GaN (n GaN) namely Ti/Al/Ni
/Au, Ti/Al/Mo/Au and Ti/Al/Re/Au are compared with respect to their contact
resistance, root mean square values of surface roughness, annealing temperature and
the mechanism of ohmic contact formation.
Introduction:
Gallium nitride (GaN) is a binary III/V direct bandgap semiconductor with a bandgap
of 3.4 eV commonly used in light emitting diodes since the 1990s. GaN has a low
sensitivity to ionizing radiation which makes it a suitable material for solar panels
on satellites. Various military and space application also benefit from the usage if
this radiation hardened material. Besides the wide bandgap, high breakdown field
and high saturation velocity of GaN make it very promising for high power, high
speed and high temperature electronic devices. GaN devices offer five key
characteristics: high dielectric strength, high operating temperature, high current
density, high speed switching and low on resistance. These characteristics are due to
the properties of GaN, which, compared to silicon, offers ten times higher electrical
breakdown characteristics, three times the bandgap, and exceptional carrier mobility.
Low resistance Ohmic contacts with a smooth morphology, and good edge acuity and
thermal stability are imperative in the successful implementation of all these devices,
particularly high power devices

Listening is the first one because I think it is a great place to start. You may already
think you listen and perhaps you do but the level of listening I am speaking of relates
to not just hearing your partner, but truly trying to understand where he or she is
coming from. You are listening for understanding. You wantto know how it is they
see things the way they do. You may not agree with their perception but you want to
try to at least understand it from where they come from, in their shoes and in their
skin.

Garbage Pollution In Aldergrove
The issue I have chosen to focus on for this project is the amount of waste left on the
town of Aldergrove s streets, trails, sidewalks and the Fraser River running through
the town. The reason behind picking this particular area to focus on is that I live in
and, on a daily basis, travel through the town. I m also an annual participant in my
Girl Guide groups street cleanup, the cleanup being managed by the Adopt a Street
program. Seeing firsthand the amount of garbage that is left around has really put
into perspective that something needs to change. By taking on this project I can be
part of the solution by spreading information out to residents in Aldergrove about the

successful when and if it gets spread online to be seen by people in the community,
positive feedback is received and when idea s shown as solutions in the final product

The project will be taken in steps split through different sections of the final
outcome. Sections in photography, scientific tests, written work resulting from

Light vs. Dark in Heart of Darkness Essay
Light vs. Dark in Heart of Darkness
The realism movement of the late nineteenth century produced works in literature that
were marked by reduced sentimentality and increased objectivity. The goal was to let
details tell the story, and remove noticeable bias of the author through scientific and
detailed descriptions. While this form of storytelling undoubtedly is most accurate, it
creates difficulties for authors to incorporate their themes into the story. This resulted
in an increase in symbolism in realist works. The objects and descriptions within the
story are the author s vehicle for displaying the values and themes of the work. Light
and darkness are symbols commonly used in literature, and have held specific

One of the biggest ways he contrast s the two is in physical locations themselves.
Conrad uses light as a symbol of civilization. Just as darkness is defined as the
absence of light, the black jungle represents the absence of white man s
civilization a civilization marked by corruption and evil. Conrad s description of
Brussels in part one is an example of how he uses detail to convey deeper meaning.
In a very few hours I arrived at a city that always made me think of a white
sepulcher. (953) It is significant that Conrad describes the building Marlow
departs from as a white coffin, because the offices in that building are driven by
greed and their job is sending men out to their almost certain deaths. The white
men in the white town send sailors in search of their white prize, ivory. This cycle
of evil begins and ends in this town. Describing the town as white is deceptive,
because the town itself possesses an ominous feeling of death. This symbolizes the
deception of all the sailors who come to this town in hopes of finding fortune and are
sent to their deaths. Conrad makes it clear that this is a deception not found in the
darkness of the jungle. When Marlow approaches dying slaves in the darkness of a
shaded cove, he states: They were not enemies, they were not criminals, they were
nothing earthly now, nothing but black
Feudalism In The Carolingian World
1.Central authority became non existent in the Carolingian world, opening up
travelers who were Muslim, Magyar, and Viking. This made a new type of
relationship between free individuals. Lords and vassals came up with feudalism; it
was never a consistent structure. The lords would give land to their vassals in
return for the vassals promise to fight. Most of the army had been foot soldiers until
the Asians introduced the stirrup, and with that; knights were born and they used
coats of mail and lances. This was costly and lengthy because the men had to train.
Lords also had to give land to all of the vassals family, making land the most
excellent gift a lordcould grant to his vassal. The pieces of land the lords gave out
were called fiefs.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The revival of trade was very slow because trade had generally declined in Western
Europe except for Byzantium trading with Italy. More cities started trading again,
with Venice becoming a huge new trading city. Flanders was off the coast of
modern day Belgium, and were known for their well made woolen cloth. Many
merchants from England, Germany, France and Scandinavia started trading here. By
the 12th century regular trade had been established between Italy and Flanders.
France traded champagne while northern merchants brought fur, wool, tin, and
honey from England. Cloth and swords came from Italy and silks, spices, and
sugars came from the East. Gold and silver came in and a new economy came into

According to Thompson (2014), Power is not always evenly distributed among
teams in organizations. (p.202) As a team it s normal to come together and make
decisions, however as the team leader one should be knowledgeable and able to
contain the decisions that are being made without always putting the decisions
back on the table as Kate did. Kate also appeared to be somewhat of a
confrontational individual. She took sides and also on occasion left doors open to
start disputes amongst others in the meeting. She was not capable at all of
interpreting the signs of conflict as a team leader. This was one of Kate s biggest
failures. Although conflict is a reality when working with others, effective leaders
should be ready to conquer those challenges.
The lack of effective leadership skills is a common cause of conflict rising in an

Before The Fame
Joanne Jo or J.K Rowling was born on July 31, 1965 in Yate, England to Anne and
Peter Rowling. She had a younger sister Diane who was born a year and 11 months
after Joanne. In general, she lived a very happy childhood, but got teased because
of her last name. Kids were tend to call her Rowling Pin , so she was never fond of
her own last name. At a very young age, Rowling became interested in writing, and
often would write in her free time. Her attempts weren t very successful though.
When she was six years old, she wrote a story and asked her mother to get it
published. Her mother never got it published, but despite what happened, Joanne s
good friend, Sean, always gave her strength and courage.

After this introduction to Rhiannon she later reiterates her authority and shows she

Rhiannon s speech here displays her as a wise and learned individual. She is easily a

immediately knows what to do. Rhiannon is an outspoken woman and is not afraid
to force her opinion upon her husband and in doing so she carries the weight of the

Hester Prynne Symbolism
In The Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne uses Hester Prynne to provide an
audience with ethical lessons. Caught for committing adultery, the protagonist of the
novel transforms her life through dealing with her punishment. Using symbolism and
evident themes, the author clarifies the meaning of his work, which is to teach a
moral lesson, making him a contemporary author.
In the beginning of The Scarlet Letter, Hester s society treats her like a convict for
committing adultery, as it is considered a sin. Due to this, people alienate Hester,
which significantly magnifies her shame and loneliness. By doing charitable works
around the community, Hester attempts to atone and repent for her sin of committing
adultery. However, the people who benefit the most from Hester s humanitarian
works respond with ungratefulness and bitterness. During this ordeal, Hester
progressively becomes wiser by interacting with other people. For example,

The overall message that he is trying to convey, is that Hester Prynne challenges
social norms as she is punished for a sin and accepts it courageously. As stated in
the novel, On the breast of her gown, in fine red cloth, surrounded with an elaborate
embroidery and fantastic flourishes of gold thread, appeared the letter A, (37)

transform it from an reminder of past mistakes, to a token of self growth and newly
acquired wisdom. This symbol strengthens Hathorne s meaning because it is the
object that is used numerous times to remind the audience of Hester s crime and
punishment, which is essential in analyzing the effect it has on the

Key Words: SyllableDivision. Theories. Syllable Structure Introduction
The syllable is a basic unit of speech studied on both the phonetic and phonological
levels of analysis. For learners of English as a foreign language it is such a hard task

Hierarchical Structure of the Syllable
Most of modern phonological theories agree that the syllable has constituent or
hierarchical rather than linear structure. The syllable (conventionally marked as small
Greek sigma: #963;) has two immediate constituents (it branches into two elements, to
put it in another way) В– the Onset (O), which includes any consonants that precede
the nuclear element (the vowel), and the Rhyme (R), which includes the nuclear
element (the vowel) as well as any marginal elements (consonants) that might follow
it. The Rhyme, in turn, branches into Peak (P), also known as Nucleus (N), and Coda
(Co). The Peak (Nucleus), as the designation suggests, represents the nuclear or most

William Wordsworth And Samuel Coleridge s Lyrical
Ballads...
ABC In 1798, two poets, William Wordsworth and Samuel Coleridge, compiled a
collection of poems entitled Lyrical Ballads , which emphasized individuality,
imagination, and childhood and its respective innocence and purity. These poems
were inspired by the social upheaval of the Industrial Revolution in England, which
led to a heightened sense of humanitarianism, and a desire to counter the ugliness of
England s developing cities. This assemblage was the starting point for the entirety of
the Romantic Movement, which lasted up until the mid 19th century and encouraged
a rejection of the classical techniques and views on art. Along with Wordsworth and
Coleridge, other Romantic poets began to emphasize many new tenants, primarily
focusing on the importance of imagination in everyday life; the value of the
individual; and an appreciation for the beauty of childhood and its innocence. While
the Romantic movement began over 200 years ago, its tenants have not been
abandoned. In today s society, man still predominately adheres to the values of the
Romantics and continues to place importance on the value of the individual, the
assets of imagination, and the beauty of childhood innocence and naivetГ©. One of
the key tenants of the Romantic movement was the emphasis on the importance of

Essay on Jay Gatsby’s Dangerous Illusions in The Great
Gatsby
Jay s Dangerous Illusions in The Great Gatsby
America is a land of opportunity and hopes and dreams can become reality. The
American Dream consists of the notion that the struggling poor can achieve financial
success through hard work. F. Scott Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby, puts this
premise to the test while also warning against the dangers of believing too
passionately in any dream. The central character, Jay Gatsby, proves a tragic hero who
succeeds financially but fails emotionally when he attempts to hold onto something
from the past (Mizener 126). Gatsby not only possesses imaginative dreams, but also
idealistic illusions. These illusions eventually result in the unfortunate downfall of Jay
Gatsby. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not a second passes that Gatsby does not obsess about what could have been had
things worked out differently five years before.
Jay Gatsby s current state is one of emptiness and despair because he fails to live in
the present by dwelling too much in the past. Gatsby and Daisy are alike in the fact
that both carry well forgotten dreams from age to age (Fitzgerald 143), but Daisy
has moved on with her marriage to Tom, while Gatsby is left stretching out his arms
toward the dark water in a curious way (Fitzgerald 25). Gatsby finally musters the
courage to become reunited with Daisy Buchanan, with the help of his next door
neighbor, Nick Carraway. Nick holds tea at his house and invites the unsuspecting
Daisy. For a few minutes at least, the two connect with passionate intensity, but Nick
makes the observation that:
There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his
dreams not through her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion.
It had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a
creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that
drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store
up in his ghostly heart (Fitzgerald 101).
Gatsby finds himself with Daisy again, yet will not accept that they are not meant to
be

  • 2. The Hierarchy Of Gender Is An Issue That The Entire World... The hierarchy of gender is an issue that the entire world has faced for many years. In the United States, there is a large problem with women being represented in politics. This can be traced back to how children are placed into different hierarchies of males being masculine and females being feminine through their clothes, toys, and more. However, the issue is also caused by the media s portray of female politicians in comparison to male politicians. The media s reporting of the 2016 presidential candidates have impacted the way the candidates speak on each other, and the general publics opinion on different candidates. In the United States, people are faced with the hierarchy of gender from childhood. Infant males are designated with blue, seen as superior and masculine, while infant females are given the color pink in all aspects to be seen as feminine. This culture transpires into their young childhood in the forms of toys. Female toys are often domesticated items such as playhouses, kitchen sets, and baby dolls. All the heat energy that is needed for survival would not exist without plants. Water is also a requirement in humans, and is needed for the body to balance fluid through osmoregulation. By consuming plants, the water that they contain will also be transferred to the consumer. An example of this could be in the consumption of coconuts. Coconuts usually contain a good supply of water. The water found in young coconuts contains electrolytes and a pH level similar to human blood. This could be beneficial by providing fast hydration and are normally found in warm tropical climates where hydration is a major concern. Other then being used for consumption, plants also provide shelter from the environment. Trees provide shade, which creates a cooler temperature that helps prevent dehydration. They also provide fruit and shelter for animals for human consumption. Trees are also cut up into wood for building houses and making tools needed for hunting and protection from predators. The two months of summer break that we students currently have are probably one the most valued and anticipated for every teenager. They see themselves relaxing, going on vacations, visiting family, and creating great memories during those two months of freedom. Regrettably this prospect may no longer be available, since the local schoolboard proposes to change the school year from ten months to year round. They seem persistent on extending the school year with the argument of expanding educational opportunities. Contrary to what many think extending the school year will bring about a myriad of problems not just for the students but to the community. Chiefly it drastically effect the economy, there will be no real educational impact, and lastly it interfere with any and all plans that student have for their precious summer vacation. Increasing the school year could have significant lasting economic effects. Logically thinking most families go on extended vacations during summer break and stay at hotels or resorts. Implied by other clips in the movie, we conclude the father s environment as an attorney requires him to use a more conservative language that has been more or less designated to his generation. This contrasts with the daughters modern and hip hop language that incorporates many slang terminologies, non standard English sentences and phrases, and a very relaxed tone. Although we see the father is able to put a couple sentences together, everything from his tone and range clearly show his inexperience to the speech. In loanable funds market which borrowers (my firm) demand funds and lenders supply them. The price in this market is interest rate. Scenario a The growth rate of GDP in the U.S is expected to increase Since there is an expectation on the U.S GDP to increase, this means the increasing labor force in the market that indirectly increases the consumption and investments. May be the government s spending potential is also increasing. These factors would create more demands in the loanable funds market. So the demand and supply in the loanable funds market determines the interest rates. The following exhibit 1a shows when demand is weak (D1) and the real interest rate low ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Real interest rate = Nominal Interest Rate Inflationary premium Exhibit 1b illustrates how inflation influences nominal interest rates. We consider a 3% market interest rate as a stable price. Assume the expected rate of inflation is zero, there will be no inflationary premium; under these conditions the nominal interest rate is equal to the real interest rate. Now there is an expectation of inflation goes higher, forecasted 2% inflation, so the real interest rate now becomes to 1% (based on the real interest rate formula). This case I am better off my firm s future financing cost if I use the credit line. Usually it is not going to work that way. When lenders expect inflation, they will be pushing the interest rate upward by the expected inflation. This case the nominal interest rate is going to be 5% and the real interest rate would become 3%. Lenders may not always forecast the future rate of inflation accurately. If the inflation is higher than was expected then my firm will gain. On the other hand if the inflation rate is less than anticipated then lenders will gain. Therefore, no reason why the inflation will help either my firm or lenders. Answer 2: Answer 4: According to the text book the law of demand states that there is an inverse relationship between the price of a good or service and the quantity of it that consumers are willing to purchase . That being said, in general the demand curve will be in a downward slope.

With this advice, Okonkwo is reminded of his mother s role in the family the role of the protector and guardian. Uchendu is referring to Okonkwo s flight from his father s village in Umuofia since Okonkwo was banished for accidentally killing a young boy. Together with the father figure, the mother figure is one of the two integral parts of the African family. The mother figure can be seen in many cultures, including Western culture, and humanizes all who come to her for help. The Igbo mother allows Okonkwo, the stubborn protagonist, to show his culpable human side. Abstract: Three ohmic contact metallization schemes to n type GaN (n GaN) namely Ti/Al/Ni /Au, Ti/Al/Mo/Au and Ti/Al/Re/Au are compared with respect to their contact resistance, root mean square values of surface roughness, annealing temperature and the mechanism of ohmic contact formation. Introduction: Gallium nitride (GaN) is a binary III/V direct bandgap semiconductor with a bandgap of 3.4 eV commonly used in light emitting diodes since the 1990s. GaN has a low sensitivity to ionizing radiation which makes it a suitable material for solar panels on satellites. Various military and space application also benefit from the usage if this radiation hardened material. Besides the wide bandgap, high breakdown field and high saturation velocity of GaN make it very promising for high power, high speed and high temperature electronic devices. GaN devices offer five key characteristics: high dielectric strength, high operating temperature, high current density, high speed switching and low on resistance. These characteristics are due to the properties of GaN, which, compared to silicon, offers ten times higher electrical breakdown characteristics, three times the bandgap, and exceptional carrier mobility. Low resistance Ohmic contacts with a smooth morphology, and good edge acuity and thermal stability are imperative in the successful implementation of all these devices, particularly high power devices

While this form of storytelling undoubtedly is most accurate, it creates difficulties for authors to incorporate their themes into the story. Conrad s description of Brussels in part one is an example of how he uses detail to convey deeper meaning. In a very few hours I arrived at a city that always made me think of a white sepulcher. The white men in the white town send sailors in search of their white prize, ivory. This cycle of evil begins and ends in this town. Describing the town as white is deceptive, because the town itself possesses an ominous feeling of death. This symbolizes the deception of all the sailors who come to this town in hopes of finding fortune and are sent to their deaths. • 42. William Wordsworth And Samuel Coleridge s Lyrical Ballads... ABC In 1798, two poets, William Wordsworth and Samuel Coleridge, compiled a collection of poems entitled Lyrical Ballads , which emphasized individuality, imagination, and childhood and its respective innocence and purity. These poems were inspired by the social upheaval of the Industrial Revolution in England, which led to a heightened sense of humanitarianism, and a desire to counter the ugliness of England s developing cities. This assemblage was the starting point for the entirety of the Romantic Movement, which lasted up until the mid 19th century and encouraged a rejection of the classical techniques and views on art. Along with Wordsworth and Coleridge, other Romantic poets began to emphasize many new tenants, primarily focusing on the importance of imagination in everyday life; the value of the individual; and an appreciation for the beauty of childhood and its innocence.
