Life Experience Essay Ideas
Writing an essay on the topic of "Life Experience Essay Ideas" can prove to be both challenging
and rewarding. The difficulty lies not in the scarcity of experiences to draw from but in the
vastness of possibilities. Life experiences are diverse, ranging from personal triumphs to
challenging adversities, and the task of selecting which ones to highlight can be daunting.
One might find themselves grappling with the depth and breadth of their own life journey,
attempting to distill the essence of their experiences into a coherent narrative. Crafting an
engaging and meaningful essay requires thoughtful reflection and a careful balance between
introspection and effective storytelling.
Moreover, the challenge lies in avoiding clichГ©s and presenting unique perspectives that
resonate with the reader. It's not merely about narrating events but about extracting profound
insights and lessons learned from those experiences. Balancing the emotional and intellectual
aspects of the narrative adds an extra layer of complexity.
Additionally, the fear of being too personal or not personal enough can be a hurdle. Striking the
right chord of vulnerability without oversharing or appearing detached demands a delicate touch.
The writer must navigate the fine line between authenticity and relatability.
Researching and organizing the ideas also pose challenges. Proper structuring is essential for
coherence and flow, while each anecdote or reflection should contribute meaningfully to the
overarching theme. Without a clear roadmap, the essay may lose its impact and fail to deliver a
compelling narrative.
In conclusion, while the process of writing a "Life Experience Essay Ideas" essay is demanding,
the end result has the potential to be deeply satisfying. It is an opportunity for self-discovery and
reflection, and the difficulty lies in doing justice to the richness of one's own life experiences.
With patience, creativity, and a dedication to storytelling, the writer can transform their unique
journey into a captivating piece of literature.

Clothes Before The Industrial Revolution
The world moves quickly as do change. Fashion has been a part of everyone s life
from the beginning of times. Fashion is industrialized all around the world, however;
as the clothing manufacturing technology evolves over time, so does the variety of
clothing style for the consumer. Making clothes more quickly meant styles did not
change more frequently as well. Clothes before the industrial revolutionwere made
and worn differently than they are now. It all started with family companies
producing their own clothingline to sell and exchange with others. Families back
then would have to create everything by hand, which took a lot of time and effort.
The fabric worn was economically ideal as it is easier to put together. ...Considered

More people can buy from stores online and new styles are being introduced with a

accessibility is wider, communication and exploring your own personal individuality
is broader. The evolution of ready made clothing gas produced
Christ Blessing, Surrounded By A Donor Family
Christ Blessing, Surrounded by a Donor Family (1573 1582) offers valuable insight
into a changing European landscape during the sixteenth century. The Protestant
Reformation, which reached its climax during this era, rejected many aspects of
Catholicism. Among other things, Protestants believed that each individual should
read the Bibleand develop a meaningful connection to G d rather than limiting the
Bible to the clergy s interpretation.1 This Protestant belief and other tenets of the
Reformers are evident in the Reformation s art. Christ Blessing, Surrounded by a
Donor Family demonstrates the manner in which the cultural shift from Catholicism
to Protestantismin Northern Europe during the Reformation was reflected in that era s
art.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inscriptions of Bible verses in Low German in Christ Blessing, Surrounded by
a Donor Family are also indicative of the influence on Protestant beliefs on the
painting. Prior to the Reformation, the Bible (like all Catholic liturgy) was always
read in Latin. However, Latin was a language that was only comprehensible to the
clergy and to a small class of very well educated and wealthy individuals. The vast
majority of Europeans did not comprehend Latin and, therefore, they had to rely on
the clergy to interpret the Bible s teachings. Moreover, prior to the invention of the
printing press Bibles, like all other books, had to be copied by hand. Since this was
a time consuming and expensive process, Bibles were not widely dispersed. At the
start of the Reformation, Gutenberg designed the printing press. The revolutionary
invention of the printing press enabled the mass production of books and a
reduction in their cost, which allowed a much larger audience to own Bibles.5
Furthermore, the translation of the Bible into the vernacular allowed a much wider
audience to read and interpret it for themselves.6 The wide dissemination of
relatively inexpensive Bibles in the vernacular served as a powerful catalyst for the
spread of Protestantism. The inscriptions on the painting are indicative of the
Protestant desire to disseminate the Bible broadly. Moreover, they derive from a
copy of Johannes Bugenhagen s translation of the bible
Summary Of Mark Levin s The Liberty Amendments
For over two decades, citizens of the United States of America have had strong
feelings on the subject of congressional term limits more specifically, the imposition
of term limits on Supreme Court Justices as well as the restriction on judicial review.
This controversial issue has been further publicized due to the more recent
publication of Mark Levin s book, The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American
Public. Levin, a talk show host, makes his term limit case in his book about several
amendments that have been attempted in the past. Article 3, Section 1 of the U.S.
Constitution states that judges shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour,
meaning that as long as Supreme Court judges don t commit crimes, they can hold
their position
Aging Research Papers
Aging; the process of growing old, happens so quickly the individual who is
undergoing the process does not even realize. One day they are young and able to
run around a track and in the blink of an eye they need assistance to walk from the
kitchen to the living room. Aging is a natural process in which the changes of a
human being are shown over time. Changes such as physical, psychological, and
social changes happen throughout the process. Along with going through the
natural process of aging a humans body becomes more at risk for diseases. Aging is a
very difficult and emotional process for an individual but it also is a very intense
process for their caregiver as well. The American Psychological Association states
that, Being a caregiver for an ill or disabled loved one is widely recognized as a
threat to the caregiver s quality of life. (2010) It is a threat to the caregivers quality
of life because they to start to become down and hopeless. When involving yourself
with someone who is ill or elderly they are not always happy or up for doing things
that younger individuals are still able to . These caregivers can get caught up in
taking care of their ill or elderly and start to settle with a much more low key life.

Patients need the correct care and such things as transportations, medications, and
equipment to make the patients days a little easier also come at a cost, a high cost.
The costs of caregiving are not covered by insurance so the money that is used for
all these accommodations comes from the caregiver s pocket. This begins arguments
within the caregiver and their spouse on how they are spending money because they
also have their own family to support. Remaining employed while also being a
caregiver is highly recommended. Being able to bring in money and balance time
will help the caregiver and their loved one have the best relationship

SouthWest Airlines History
More than 36 years ago, Rollin King and Herb Kelleher got together and decided to
start a different kind of airline. They began with one simple notion: If you get your
passengers to their destinations when they want to get there, on time, at the lowest
possible fares, and make darn sure they have a good time doing it, people will fly
your airline.
Rollin King and Herb Kelleher originally incorporated southwest Airlines to serve
three cities in Texas as Air Southwest on March 15, 1967. According to frequently
cited legend, King described the concept to Kelleher over dinner by drawing on a
paper napkin a triangle symbolizing the routes. (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio)
Some of the incumbent airlines of the time (Braniff, Trans Texas, and Continental
Airlines) initiated legal action, and thus began a three year
Before The Norman Conquest, The Administration Of
Justice
Before the Norman conquest, the administration of Justice was integrally given to
local courts accordingly to local customs. There was no idea of centralisation. The
situation changed when William the Conqueror gained the throne in 1066, because
he set up the Curia Regis based in Westminster with judges approved by the King. In
1156, itinerant Royal justices was created, so that judges appointed by the King can
dispense justice in his name in the whole country. The King didn t abolish the former
system, but created another one. People could choose the system they would be
judged by. There was a preference for the royal court. These itinerant judges gradually
elaborated a common uniform jurisprudence in the whole England. Common... Show

Parliament is sovereign, therefore the law it makes prevail on any other source.
We will focus the working of statutory interpretation (A), then look if it s regulated
by the law (B) and scrutinized rules of interpretation (C).
A) The operation of statutory interpretation
Statutory interpretation deals with Statute law. Indeed an interpretation may be
required when there is an ambiguity or if there is an error made by Parliament. Rolle
of judges is to ascertain the intention of Parliament. The intention of Parliament is a
delicate concept for representing the majority option of Member of Parliament how is
representative for the United Kingdom citizens.
For all Parliament is the legislator, Courts must apply legislation through the
discretion of judges. However lawyers and barristers may also interpret the statutes to
convince the judges.
Courts have several roles. There is a dichotomy between statuary interpretation and
statutory construction. The first one is В« the provision of meaning to the words in a
statute by a court В» and the second one is В« the resolution of ambiguities or
uncertainties in a statue В».
B) Is statutory interpretation binding of any kind of rule of law ?
Statutory interpretation is mandatory for judges, only the way of interpretation is not
mandatory.
Parliament has given the courts some sources of guidance on statutory interpretation.
The interpretation Act 1978 provides certain standard definitions of

The Blacktip shark The blacktip sharks is one of the most beautiful sharks in the

The blacktip shark is one of the few sharks that have a different color on its fins or

The blacktip sharks can live worldwide in different oceans. Unlike a great white

When Working Title Films announced its intention of making another film back in

Nonetheless, all that can be said is that it is much better than its predecessor, Bridget
Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004). The main plot is contrived so that nor Jones or
the two possible fathers learn about who is the actual father of the baby boy. One of
the few good aspects to say about this contrived arrangement, is that the audience
gets to enjoy more of Thompson, who aside from collaborating on writing the
screenplay, she has a supporting role in it as Dra. Rawling, Jones s gynecologist;

Summary Of So Much Water So Close To Home
Intro:
Raymond Carver s hypo short story So Much Water So Close to Home was
published in 2003 set within the late American 1970 s, during the time when there
was mass hysteria of serial killings. Carver s plot used the hysteria of the 1970 s to
set up the theme of serial killings within America. Juxtaposingly, Ray Lawrence
adapted Carver s short story in [2006] and [transformed] it into the hyper Australian
gothic film Jindabyne. Lawrence adaption of the hypotext focuses on the theme of
Aboriginal treatment and the beliefs of the aboriginal treatment. The benefits of
adaptation studies lies within their ability to highlight changing societal ideas,
attitudes and values.
Context:
Raymond Carver s hypo short story So Much Water So Close to Home was made in
2003 set within the late American 1970 s, during the time when there was mass
hysteria of serial killings. By the lack of detail and the objective narration of Claire
s emotions within the story, Carver s short story had delved into the reader s mind
and effectively positioned the reader to create the tension and suspense from the
reader s own interpretation of the text. Carver s lack of detail lures the reader into
asking questions that can never be answered, such as who was the killer? Why did
Stuart go far away to fish? The lack of of detail tempting the reader to ask questions
plus the disconnection of Claire s emotions allows the story to build suspense as well
as have a unique disjointed atmosphere to the story.

existence and, in many ways, sets the pattern for the genre, neatly fitting the
definition of a primary epic (that is, one that grows out of oral tradition).
In The Odyssey, Homer employs most of the literary and poetic devices associated
with epics: catalogs, digressions, long speeches, journeys or quests, various trials or
tests of the hero, similes, metaphors, and divine intervention.
Homer composed The Odyssey in a meter known as dactylic hexameter, which gives
the epic its elevated style. Each line has six metrical feet. The first five feet may be
made up of either dactyls and/or spondees. A dactyl is a metrical foot consisting of
a long sound followed by two short sounds (BEEEEAT beat beat). A spondee has
two long sounds (BEEEEAT BEEEEAT).
Evan s Hierarchy Of Needs In The Film August Rush
In the movie August Rush, Evan Taylor (A.K.A. August Rush) starts as a bullied
orphan and eventually becomes a successful composer with a large and loving
family. The film shows Evan s life as he progresses up the pyramid of Abraham
Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs. As each need is met, Evan gets closer to fulfilling
his dream of being with his parents. Evan s physiological needs, like food, warmth,
and rest are first met by the Wizard who provides Evan with a warm place to sleep
and food to eat on the condition the Evan work for him. Even though Evan had a
place to sleep at the orphanage, the beds were cold, the food was meager, and he
was constantly woken in the night by his bullies. Later in the film, Evan s
biological and physiological needs are again met when he comes into the care of a
local church who also provide him with a sense of safety and security. Although the

feelings. He is told that his original piece will be performed at the annual concert in
the park and that he will be conducting it. The school believes he has become a
master of music and they treat him as such. The movie leads Evan up to the top of
the pyramid Self Actualization. Evan, on stage in Central Park conducting his
original rhapsody with the Juilliard orchestra, finally realizes his full creative
potential and when he finds his parents at the concert his dreams of being with his
family are fulfilled. The concert is also a peak experience which only occurred due
to the personal growth Evan accomplished. From orphan to idol, Evan Taylor finds
his life completely changed in just a few weeks. With every new level of Maslow s
Hierarchy of Needs completed, Evan was able to achieve his goals and realize his
full potential. Eventually, he even got his family
Peter Pan Syndrome Essay
Neverland is a paradise in Barrie s story, in which children will able to fly and
never grow up. A lot of fantasy creatures like fairies and mermaids that every girl
has dreamed of are living in there. Boys, on the other hand, can experience the
adventure with Native Americans and pirates. Peter Pan, as the earliest and the
captain of lost boys, is adored by generations. However, later in twenty century, Dr.
Dan Kiley interpreted Peter Panin a different way. His book, The Peter Pan
Syndrome: Men Who Have Never Grown Up, which was published in 1983 has
categorized the characteristics of Peter Pan and detailedly discussed the psychological
situation that an adult is socially immature. He named this condition the Peter Pan
syndrome. And later sections in the book, several treatments were given to cure this
syndrome.
According to Kiley, that the symptoms of the peter pan syndrome could be classified
into 6 aspects, which are irresponsibility, anxiety, lonely, gender roleconflict,
narcissism and machismo, and pirate lifestyle (Kiley 26). These terms do summary

as her loved partner, but Peter s ambiguous reply made Wendy thought that he
would be her man (Barrie 25). In the drama version, Wendy even asked that if the
lost boys want her to be the mother, Peter Pan then should be the father. In chapter

Pros And Cons Of Stricter Gun Control Laws In The
United...
The second amendment to the Constitution upholds the right of the people to keep
and bear arms. Throughout American history there have been many regulations
placed on gun ownership, but they prove to be ineffective as almost anyone can
obtain a gun through both legal and illegal methods. Many gun control legislations
meant to regulate gun ownership have been stalled in Congress. Recent events in
the past decade, such as the Las Vegas shooting in October 2017 and the Sandy
Hook shooting in December 2012, seem to provide more than enough reason for
stricter gun control laws in the United States, but there is not much progress being
made to establish stricter laws as both sides of the debate cannot come to a fair
compromise. If the United States were to adopt stricter gun control laws, there would
be fewer mass shootings, a lower firearmrelated injuries and accidental death, and
less violent crime. For these reasons, the United States should pursue new gun
laws to create a safer environment for everyone. In the past decade alone, there
have been countless mass shootings in the United States alone resulting in a large
body count. Whenever a mass shooting occurs, a debate always follows about how
easy it is to obtain firearms, despite background checks that have been enacted to
make it difficult to purchase firearms. Background checks are designed to
determine if the prospective buyer fits any criteria that prohibit purchase or
possession of firearms, including a prior felony conviction, certain domestic
violence misdemeanors, unlawful use of controlled substances or, inter alia,
commitment to a mental institution. (Vernick et al. 98). Background checks are
necessary for public safety, but people manage to maneuver their way around
background checks when it comes to purchasing a firearm. A background check is
not required when purchasing from an unlicensed dealer such as an online store or
dealers at a gun show. People prohibited from purchasing guns go through
unlicensed dealers because they are not required by law to perform background
checks for a firearm purchase. For example, four to ten percent of online shoppers
are prohibited by law from possessing firearms, yet they still are looking around in

Later on, many service industries have adopted the philosophy of Lean with the aim
of improving their quality of service, processes, methods and resulting a better
customer satisfaction. The study made revealed that although the Lean
Manufacturing was designed and developed for the manufacturing industries initially,
it is now proven that even the service industries could implement the Lean principles
as well, and increasing the customer satisfaction.
In this project, we compare and contrast how lean manufacturing principles and its
best practices have been applied in the Food industry (manufacturing industry) and
the Health Care and Hospital systems (service industry).

Connecting To Feelings
I chose to teach the lesson on pages 62 and 63, Connecting to Feelings, because I
felt that is would be appropriate and work well with both of my children, who are
in kindergarten and third grade. I felt that you can make this activity easier for
younger students and then ask older students to add more details, so it was a great
fit for my two children. We also have a lot of feelings going around in this house
because daddy was preparing to leave this week and flew off today for about a
month for work ups to deploy next February. Also, feelings are something that
every child has and this is a topic that is easy for them to connect to and write
about. For the planning portion of this lesson, or lesson one, we talked about what
writing to invite the reader to make connections means. We talked about why they
think authors write books about feelings and if everyone has feelings. We explored
some different types of feelings that each of us has had by looking at a smiley face
feelings chart. Then we read the book How Full is Your Bucket?,... Show more

of her age and grade level. My older daughter was very resistant to writing anything

difficult to get motivated to write. However, once she got started on doing the story

Essay on The Power Of The Judiciary
The Power of The Judiciary
When the founding fathers of our country, and by that I mean the
Federalists, were creating the system of government for America, they knew that a
separation of power would be necessary to protect the American people from the evils
of a monarchy or dictatorship. In doing this, they created the three branches of
government; Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary. The plan was to have the
Legislative make the laws, Executive enforce the laws, and the
Judiciary interpret the laws, and it was Madison s system of quot;Checks and
Balances quot; that would keep the three in check. No one branch would be able to
exploit it s power without the scrutiny of one of the other ... Show more content on

What Dahl is basically trying to say is that the evolution of the
Supreme Court has made it very involved in decisions concerning important policy
issues of the American political system. When it renders a decision on these policy
issues, it is in fact changing or creating new policy itself. Now to say that the
Supreme Court is only the highest legal institution of the United
States would be doing a it a terrible injustice, not to mention selling it extremely short
on the credit it deserves for the job that it is doing. The
Supreme Court is without a doubt, a very capable and extremely involved branch of
government, equal in power to the Legislative and Executive branch, and well
adapted in the duties involved in the system of quot;Checks and Balances quot; that
the
Federalists established so many years ago.
The founders intentions for the Judiciary Branch was to interpret the laws that the
Legislative made, and the document by which their standards would be set would of
course be the Constitution of the United States. The Supreme
Court would render decisions based on the laws drafted into the Constitutions, and it
would be asked to interpret them to the best of their ability. Because of this
expectation to quot;interpret quot;, the Supreme Court has been allowed to develop

force and that can be shed light on labor system, which an individual can use
moving through the system. A comprehensive and integrated labor force system
also when well applied can prove very beneficial to country. Description of
elements of a comprehensive and integrated labor force In order to have an
effective and integrate d labor force development system, it has to offer a
comprehensive choice of six element of programs and services, these elements
include labor markets, information; life skills for example numeracy and language
training; carrier counseling and pre employment services like literacy; advancement
and re training, and job matching services, however, this are not the only services
that can be offered, much more should be done. More so, the system has to operate
as a unit, and not as single disjointed system, certain standards have to be meet by
the system. According to Haddow and Sharpe (1997) the principles that guide an
effective labor force development underlines that the system has to be of high quality;

African Americans often are discriminated against, suffer from a barrage of racial
remarks, and even endure racially based acts of violence. Unfortunately, this crime
against humanity goes both ways. Those being oppressed may retaliate as a matter
of self defense, sometimes becoming that which they despise most. In many cases
the Black man is forced into developing racist mores against the White man due to
past history and to the fact that Whites discriminate against them. The victim of
oppression can become the oppressor and, in fact, this reverse racism may easily
develop into a feeling of superiority for Black people. ... Show more content on

For example, he witnesses a female slave in an iron muzzle, he sees a picture of a

imagination, some things which our ancestors would only dream on having. But
while the technology can be used for good deeds some want to take advantage of it

The Sun Ernest Hemingway
Outside reading assignment
In the sun also rises Hemingway s character development of Jake Barnes helps us
understand the theme of this book. The way Hemingway does this is through the
diction and character development of Jake. Jakes character development is built
through a character foil with Robert Cohn, which emphasizes jakes character. Then
this character development helps bring the reader to the theme of identity.
Furthermore Ernest Hemingway builds the character of Jake by making him the
character foil of Robert Cohn which helps emphasize not only jakes character, but
also Jake s flaw. Jakes flaw can be interpreted through the character foil as him
summiting to what life during the war was like even after the war. Jakes flaw is
caused by the hardships he endured during the war, which makes Jake come to know
nothing else. His life then was forever changed and lost hence the name lost

We see his insecurity when he says at the Cathedral, I was a little ashamed, and
regretted that I was such a rotten Catholic, but realized there was nothing I could
do about it , which tells us that he is conscious of his condition, but does nothing to
fix it. It is evident that Jake doesn t want to do anything about his problem because
when he says, , at least not for a while, and maybe never , he knows the problem is
there but dismisses it by saying never.
To conclude Jake in the sun also rises is important to the book s plot because
Hemingway builds Jake s character through a character foil to emphasize Jake s
overall character, and that character development contributes to the theme of identity
which Jake thinks he has under control but actually doesn t. The fact that he doesn t
have his identity under control explains Jake s strong acceptance to his past war

The Byrds was a rock band that started in 1964 in Los Angeles, California. The
band originally started out as a trio, named, The Jet Set, with Roger McGuinn,
David Crosby, and Gene Clark. They eventually changed their name to, The Byrds,
with 11 members in their band. The members were: Roger McGuinn, David
Crosby, Gene Clark, Gram Parsons, Chris Hillman, Michael Clarke, Clarence
White, Gene Parsons, Skip Battin, John York, and John Guerin. They were going to
call their band, The Birds, but in England, it is slang for girls, and they didn t want
to be called, The Girls, so McGuinn came up with, The Byrds. The band was active
from 1964 to 1973, 1989 to 1991, and 2000. The Byrds is one of the most influential

how they arranged the song, because if you look at the last line of each verse, it is:

The Waters Of Babylon Analysis
What would happen if no one ever recorded history? What values would humanity
have? Would we be able to learn anything? In the short story, The Waters of Babylon
by Stephen Vincent Benet, Benet displays his story to be in a futuristic post
apocalyptic world that was destroyed due to the fact that the people who lived in it
failed to record their history. The main character, John, has to go on a quest to learn
more about his ancestors and get more information about the worldthey lived in.
When he finishes the quest, he and his father go to the city of his ancestors and try
to rebuild the world from square one. History should be recorded so that the world
does not end up like John s world, history should be taught on to generations and...

Some people believe that history is not important, others strongly disagree, their point
is not going to go unnoticed though. Some people want to live life one day at a time
and not have to worry about how their actions could affect themselves or their future.
Living life one day at a time sounds refreshing but it is unrealistic. We would still
be cavemen if we didn t use our knowledge to help us advance. Ignorance is not the
answer especially if we hope to continue our advancement s in the world. Not
having history can also affect how you see people from the past. We know that the
people here before us were ordinary people not gods but John does not know that,
John thinks that his ancestors are godly and mysteriously hidden behind their
ambiguity. John realizes that his ancestors are ordinary people but this is not
because of the knowledge he was taught in a history book, this is because he had to
take a strenuous journey to find his own answers. That is all of my story, for then I
knew he was a man I knew then that they had been men, neither gods nor demons.
It is a great knowledge, hard to tell and believe. They were men they went a dark
road, but they were men. I had no fear after that I had no fear going home... (Benet,
466) John is relieved after he discovers the truth behind these holy gods he had been
told about, he understands that the people who lived before him are no more capable
than him to create an impact on the world. After he discovers this, he

Essay Comparing My Last Duchess And My Ex-Husband
My Last Duchess, written by Robert Browning, is simply about a male who was
not specially treasured by his, now dead, spouse. The parody of Browning s poem,
My Ex Husband, written by Gabriel Spera, is in a woman s point of view
pondering on a past relationship where she felt she was not properly respected. In
both poems, the speakers are reflecting on past relationship conflicts pertaining to the
importance they had in their spouse s lives. The speakers in My Last Duchess and
My Ex Husbandeach have different personalities and values, which prompts each
individual to react in different ways.
In Browning s poem, My Last Duchess, the speaker is concerned with the rank of
importance he acquires in his wife s life. The speaker s personality comes off as
angry, self centered, and greatly annoyed. One time the speaker portrays these an
annoyed quality is when he stated as if she ranked my gift of a nine hundred years
old name with anybody s gift (Browning, 33 34). The speaker s spouse was brought
equal amounts of joy by marriage as she was by the little things in life. The speaker

The Apprenticeship Of Duddy Kravitz Essay
The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz by Mordecai Richler is the tale of a young
greedy boy who feels that money is his path to happiness and pride. Duddy simply
stomps all over his friends and his family as well (to a certain extent). Richler feels
unreserved sympathy towards Duddy because, in essence, Duddy is Richler written
down and diversified. Duddy is a character based on Mordecai s own personality.
Duddy Kravitz is a crook, a blackmailer and a cheat. However, Duddy Kravitz is
Richler s crook and Duddy will never be abandoned. In The Apprenticeship of Duddy
Kravitz, everyone but the Richler himself shuns Duddy. The entire concept of the
novel was for Duddy to learn an important lesson, what makes someone significant.

Duddy s character is not often sympathized. However, Richler somehow finds a
way to incorporate compassion. Although the reader does not feel that he should
be feeling for Duddy, the way Richler writes makes the reader feel heartless. Even
when the reader does not want to be happy for Duddy, the written words indicate
that a pride for Duddy should be present. For example, even after all the harm
Duddy has caused, the last lines in the book still point toward happiness for the
character. That s all right sir. We ll mark it. And suddenly Duddy did smile. He
laughed. He grabbed Max, hugged him, and spun him around. You see, he said, his
voice filled with marvel. You see. Right in that very sentence a sort of pride arose
from the book to the reader even though any reader with a conscience realizes that
this is not something to be blissful about.
Duddy eventually does become someone of somewhat significance save for going
about it in a completely shameful way with partial reference above. Although
Duddy is attempting to please his grandfather, the way Duddy conducts himself to
get to a position that would be gratifying to his grandfather are appalling. Perhaps
Richler had made comparable errors in his own youth. This book is almost like a
personal account of ones own self pity and reassurance. Richler definitely has a major
soft spot for Duddy (just as he does for

Happiness In Abilene Texas
Happiness is one of the most significant dimensions of human experience. Many
people can argue that happiness is a meaningful and desirable entity. Studies
indicate that everyone pursues happiness in various aspects of their life. Our four

three unalienable rights branded in the Declaration of Independence. There is a
sense of complexity behind the meaning of happiness; its definition is not definite.

Rhetorical Devices In American Pie

LA 201

Essay 3
The song American Pie , by Don McLean, was a dominate rock and roll hit in 1971.
McLean illustrates famous rock star artist and songwriter Buddy Holly, who died in a
plane crash in 1962 by using rhetorical strategies. The different potential
interpretations of this song made it one of the most controversial songs from the
1970 s. McLean was hitting home with many emotional resonances defining moments
in the recent American experiences. American Piestarts out addressing McLean love
for music in the 50 s. During the 50 s, music was a tool for getting people off their
feet and on to the dance floors. And I knew if I had my chance, that I could make
those people dance, and maybe they d be happy for a while (McLean). This verse
symbolizes why he loves to create and perform for his fans. McLean then goes on to
mention his mentor Buddy Holly. But February made me shiver. With every paper, I
d deliver. Shocking news on the doorstep, I couldn t take one more step. I can t
remember if I cried. When I read about his widowed bride. But something touched
me deep inside. The day the music died (McLean). Buddy Holly died on February
3, 1959, in a plane crash. There are two theories on why the song was called
American Pie. It was rumored, American Pie was the name of the plane that took
Buddy Holly life. Also, someone refers it to a symbol of the beauty queen Miss
America (Morgan). Mclean remembered the paper boy delivering the morning
paper and there on the front page, was the story of the death of Buddy Holly. At
the time Holly s wife was pregnant and soon had a miscarriage afterward. McLean,
he says he can t remember if he cried in the moment or not. All this was in the first
few verses in American Pie. McLean incorporated these lines of imagery to help
the listener picture his past emotional experiences. I believe McLean wanted to
paint a picture for his audience could relate to. During these times it was tough for
McLean. Not only did Buddy Holly die but also rock star legends Richie Valens, and
the Big Bopper. For McLean music died for him and the rest of the world.
American Pie not only pays tribute to three talented musicians but also

Zygmunt Bauman best describes the self/other duality where identities are set up in
dichotomies in this quote:
Woman is the other of man, animal is the other of human, stranger is the other of
native, abnormality the other of norm, deviation the other of law abiding, illness the
other of health, insanity the other of reason, lay public the other of the expert,
foreigner the other of state subject, enemy the other of friend.
The question of the Other the one different from yourself and those similar to
yourself is ideal for exploration within science fiction, which has always stretched the
boundaries of what is possible and imaginable. The Other can be different from the
Self in its sex, income, language, race, anatomy, etc., and Le Guin ... Show more

The Gethenians, being unique in the Hainish universe should by all accounts be the
ultimate Other, different in not only culture but in their physiology, but the Ekumen
subverts the I Other duality metaphorized as androgyny , by sending the Envoy
alone, isolated from his own world to experience Gethen as an Other himself.
Gethenians themselves struggle with the fear of the other in the face of the Envoy
and patriotism , but it is Genly Ai himself who undergoes the biggest change as he
begins to see Gethenians, and his comrade Estraven especially, as fellow human
beings. In a scene on the ice, after Estraven and Ai have become closer, they say
good night to each other using first names, and Ai is so alienated by the whole
experience, that he describes them both as aliens as if he was a third person narrator
. The sense of slowly becoming equals matures even more when they discover that
they have similar motivations that made them exiles from their
Data Partition Properties And Its Structure For Preparing...
Map/Reduce is a structure for preparing parallelizable issues crosswise over
gigantic datasets utilizing a substantial number of PCs (hubs), all things
considered alluded to as a group i.e. if all hubs are on the same local network and
use the same hardware) or a framework i.e. if the hubs are shared crosswise over
geologically and authoritatively conveyed systems, and use a more heterogenous
hardware. Handling can happen on data saved either in a file system unstructured or
in a database organized. Map/Reduce can exploit domain of data, preparing it on or
close to the storage resources with a specific end goal to reduce the length over which
it must be transmitted. Jiaxing et al. proposes SUDO, an advancement system that
reasons about data partitioncharacteristics, working properties, and data shuffling.
They contend that reasoning about data partition properties crosswise phases opens
up chances to reduce extravagant data shuffling. For instance, in the event that we
realize that data partitions from past computation phases as of now have alluring
properties for the following phase, we have the method to stay away from
superfluous data shuffling steps. The fundamental obstruction to reasoning about
data partition properties crosswise over processing phases is the utilization of
UDFs [4]. At the point when a UDF is viewed as a black box , which is typically the
case, we must expect conservatively that all data partition characteristics are lost
subsequent to applying
Comedy Of Manners Analysis
The comedy of manners is a genre of comedy that became established on the
English stage during the Restoration period. It can be said that the English comedy
of manners started with George Etherege, second would be William Congreve
(Palmer 2). Their plays focused on the behavior of people in a society and the
feigned values that they cared about ( Comedyof Manners 1). These men constructed
realism in their plays keeping their writings authentic and unique while also putting
the comedy on stage as close to reality as possible, to show general life of time, its
movements, its amusements, its general conceptions, were mirrored upon stage
(Dobree 26 29). They used their observations from their own life to represent the
setting, events, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The various types could be the fool, the deceiver, the hypocrite, the jealous wife, the
interfering parents etc.
Comedy of Manners has became well known and grown widespread over many
periods in theatre history. Most theatrical genres begins in a certain era but spans
upon many periods only if the works of later playwrights successfully tries to
restore them which didn t happen a lot. English theatres were closed down between
1642 and 1660 when Oliver Cromwell and the Puritans conquered England and
there was no aristocracy. In 1660 King Charles II took the throne and one of his first
actions was to grant several key theatrical figures licenses to produce plays and
breathe life into the theatre once more.
Most of the writers wrote about things that they were passionate about or things
that were popular during the time. To provide some examples, George Etherege has
been called the actual founder of English comedy of manners (Palmer 31). Etherege
described himself as being lazy and too careless to be ambitious, so he decided to
write plays for his own enjoyment and for entertainment (Dobree 60). Etherege wrote
Sir Fopling Flutter (1676), which is about a young aristocrat that takes place in
London during the Restoration period who tries to win the affection
Selecting a Microorganism Able to Bioabsorb Aluminum
from...
Aluminium is the most abundant metal in the earth s crust which occupies 8.8% of
its weight and it is most commonly used in water supplies, medicines (Yavuz et al.
2004), explosives, construction of siding, aircrafts and motor vehicles and in food
industry as cans, packaging materials, kitchen utensils and vessels (Tuzen and Soylak
2008). Consequently, the environmental exposure of aluminum to human and other
animals is obviously possible. This metalion causes Parkinson s disease, Alzheimer s
disease (Sun and Wu 2010), encephalopathy/dialysis dementia, osteomalacia (Jalbani
et al. 2007; Shokrollahi et al. 2008) and also several clinical diseases particularly in
patients with chronic renal failure (Sombra et al. 2003). The Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) sets the secondary permissible standard for aluminiumin
drinking water as 0.05 0.2 mg/L (Wilkes University 2007). Therefore it is necessary to
remove aluminium from its source, before it enters into the environment. Physico
chemical methods such as chemical precipitation, chemical oxidation or reduction,
filtration, ion exchange, electrochemical treatment, reverse osmosis, membrane
technology and evaporation recovery have been widely used to remove heavy metal
ions. These technologies usually produce wastes with high concentrations of metals
which are a significant source of environmental pollution. Furthermore, the above
methods may be ineffective or expensive, especially when the heavy metal

Google A Web Based Search Engine For The Internet
Back in 1996 two students from Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin,
credited a web based search engine for the internet. The program s first name was
Backrub and was later changed to Google in 1998. Google is one of the best known
and admired companies in the world. Their search engine on the internet today
usually gets 1 billion searches per day. Googlegrew from 10 employees working in a
garage to over 10,000 employees worldwide. Google was the first to put the customer
first into their internet search engines. Their mission statement To organize the world
s information and to make it universally accessible and useful. Google makes it their
commitment to end user needs. While all the other search engines were trying to
increase they re advertisingrevenue. Google went the other direction and left just
their search bar on the title screen and made sure there were no ads. They resisted on
pop up advertising, they felt that it was annoying to the users they insisted they
would have sponsored links for their advertising. They really wanted to put emphasize
on improving customer experience than putting the revenue first. In order to compete
with Microsoft and Yahoo, Google wanted to employ the power of differentiation to
create a competitive advantage over its competitors. They wanted the advantage of
having faster response times, and greater scalability at lower costs on which making
them the most used search engines in the world.

Harley-Davidson Case Essay
Harley Davidson Mini Case
Question 1 The international business environment that Harley Davidson faces
includes several challenges and obstacles. These challenges include trying to increase
sales in nations that already offer well known brands of motorcycles at cheaper costs.
Besides having to compete with local brands, in places such as Europe each specific
country may have different preferences on styling, size, and the type of performance.
Other obstacles include high tariffs in some emerging markets, potential for piracy
and counterfeiting of designs, environmental and regulatory sanctions due to high
greenhouse gas emissions, and the need lower carbon footprint standards. Should

With respect to Europe Harley could expand the presence of its HOG club as well
as begin to offer lines of motorcycles geared toward European tastes that are lighter
weight, smaller, and faster. They have already shown signs of doing this with the
purchase MV Augusta Group in 2008. For the nation of Japan Harley can expand its
local distribution network and subsidiary. An introduction of the HOG club there may
also boost interest in the brand. The company can also focus on cutting production
costs and offering their motorcycles at lower prices to compete with the local
Japanese brands that are considerably cheaper. It would also be wise for Harley to
maintain its path of lowering its greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint to
appease the Japanese government and to appeal to the Japanese public.
Question 4 Harley can compete against firms such as Lifan and Zongshen in a few
ways. In one regard Harley can stick to its core business of heavyweight bikes and
attempt to rely on its brand name and history to attract customers. These bikes
would be more expensive and Harley probably would not make large gains within
these markets. Simultaneously Harley could also attempt to open local assembly
plants, distribution networks, and subsidiaries to utilize the same low cost labor as
their emerging competitors. As they did in Europe, Harley could also purchase one
of these competitors to adhere to the tastes of the local market. Harley should look

Life Experience Essay Ideas. Life Experience Essay Example - Narrative essay on life experiences jesus

  • 1. Life Experience Essay Ideas Writing an essay on the topic of "Life Experience Essay Ideas" can prove to be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies not in the scarcity of experiences to draw from but in the vastness of possibilities. Life experiences are diverse, ranging from personal triumphs to challenging adversities, and the task of selecting which ones to highlight can be daunting. One might find themselves grappling with the depth and breadth of their own life journey, attempting to distill the essence of their experiences into a coherent narrative. Crafting an engaging and meaningful essay requires thoughtful reflection and a careful balance between introspection and effective storytelling. Moreover, the challenge lies in avoiding clichГ©s and presenting unique perspectives that resonate with the reader. It's not merely about narrating events but about extracting profound insights and lessons learned from those experiences. Balancing the emotional and intellectual aspects of the narrative adds an extra layer of complexity. Additionally, the fear of being too personal or not personal enough can be a hurdle. Striking the right chord of vulnerability without oversharing or appearing detached demands a delicate touch. The writer must navigate the fine line between authenticity and relatability. Researching and organizing the ideas also pose challenges. Proper structuring is essential for coherence and flow, while each anecdote or reflection should contribute meaningfully to the overarching theme. Without a clear roadmap, the essay may lose its impact and fail to deliver a compelling narrative. In conclusion, while the process of writing a "Life Experience Essay Ideas" essay is demanding, the end result has the potential to be deeply satisfying. It is an opportunity for self-discovery and reflection, and the difficulty lies in doing justice to the richness of one's own life experiences. With patience, creativity, and a dedication to storytelling, the writer can transform their unique journey into a captivating piece of literature. Fashion is industrialized all around the world, however; as the clothing manufacturing technology evolves over time, so does the variety of clothing style for the consumer. Making clothes more quickly meant styles did not change more frequently as well. Clothes before the industrial revolutionwere made and worn differently than they are now. It all started with family companies producing their own clothingline to sell and exchange with others. • 3. Christ Blessing, Surrounded By A Donor Family Christ Blessing, Surrounded by a Donor Family (1573 1582) offers valuable insight into a changing European landscape during the sixteenth century. The Protestant Reformation, which reached its climax during this era, rejected many aspects of Catholicism. Among other things, Protestants believed that each individual should read the Bibleand develop a meaningful connection to G d rather than limiting the Bible to the clergy s interpretation.1 This Protestant belief and other tenets of the Reformers are evident in the Reformation s art. Christ Blessing, Surrounded by a Donor Family demonstrates the manner in which the cultural shift from Catholicism to Protestantismin Northern Europe during the Reformation was reflected in that era s art.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The inscriptions of Bible verses in Low German in Christ Blessing, Surrounded by a Donor Family are also indicative of the influence on Protestant beliefs on the painting. Prior to the Reformation, the Bible (like all Catholic liturgy) was always read in Latin. However, Latin was a language that was only comprehensible to the clergy and to a small class of very well educated and wealthy individuals. The vast majority of Europeans did not comprehend Latin and, therefore, they had to rely on the clergy to interpret the Bible s teachings. Moreover, prior to the invention of the printing press Bibles, like all other books, had to be copied by hand. Since this was a time consuming and expensive process, Bibles were not widely dispersed. At the start of the Reformation, Gutenberg designed the printing press. The revolutionary invention of the printing press enabled the mass production of books and a reduction in their cost, which allowed a much larger audience to own Bibles.5 Furthermore, the translation of the Bible into the vernacular allowed a much wider audience to read and interpret it for themselves.6 The wide dissemination of relatively inexpensive Bibles in the vernacular served as a powerful catalyst for the spread of Protestantism. The inscriptions on the painting are indicative of the Protestant desire to disseminate the Bible broadly. Moreover, they derive from a copy of Johannes Bugenhagen s translation of the bible

Summary Of Mark Levin s The Liberty Amendments For over two decades, citizens of the United States of America have had strong feelings on the subject of congressional term limits more specifically, the imposition of term limits on Supreme Court Justices as well as the restriction on judicial review. This controversial issue has been further publicized due to the more recent publication of Mark Levin s book, The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Public. Levin, a talk show host, makes his term limit case in his book about several amendments that have been attempted in the past. Article 3, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states that judges shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, meaning that as long as Supreme Court judges don t commit crimes, they can hold their position

One day they are young and able to run around a track and in the blink of an eye they need assistance to walk from the kitchen to the living room. Aging is a natural process in which the changes of a human being are shown over time. Changes such as physical, psychological, and social changes happen throughout the process. Along with going through the natural process of aging a humans body becomes more at risk for diseases. Aging is a very difficult and emotional process for an individual but it also is a very intense process for their caregiver as well. • 7. SouthWest Airlines History More than 36 years ago, Rollin King and Herb Kelleher got together and decided to start a different kind of airline. They began with one simple notion: If you get your passengers to their destinations when they want to get there, on time, at the lowest possible fares, and make darn sure they have a good time doing it, people will fly your airline. Rollin King and Herb Kelleher originally incorporated southwest Airlines to serve three cities in Texas as Air Southwest on March 15, 1967. According to frequently cited legend, King described the concept to Kelleher over dinner by drawing on a paper napkin a triangle symbolizing the routes. Summary Of So Much Water So Close To Home Intro: Raymond Carver s hypo short story So Much Water So Close to Home was published in 2003 set within the late American 1970 s, during the time when there was mass hysteria of serial killings. Carver s plot used the hysteria of the 1970 s to set up the theme of serial killings within America. Juxtaposingly, Ray Lawrence adapted Carver s short story in [2006] and [transformed] it into the hyper Australian gothic film Jindabyne. Lawrence adaption of the hypotext focuses on the theme of Aboriginal treatment and the beliefs of the aboriginal treatment. The benefits of adaptation studies lies within their ability to highlight changing societal ideas, attitudes and values. Context: Raymond Carver s hypo short story So Much Water So Close to Home was made in 2003 set within the late American 1970 s, during the time when there was mass hysteria of serial killings. By the lack of detail and the objective narration of Claire s emotions within the story, Carver s short story had delved into the reader s mind and effectively positioned the reader to create the tension and suspense from the reader s own interpretation of the text. Carver s lack of detail lures the reader into asking questions that can never be answered, such as who was the killer? Why did Stuart go far away to fish? The lack of of detail tempting the reader to ask questions plus the disconnection of Claire s emotions allows the story to build suspense as well as have a unique disjointed atmosphere to the story.
  • 12. Examples Of Spondee In The Odyssey existence and, in many ways, sets the pattern for the genre, neatly fitting the definition of a primary epic (that is, one that grows out of oral tradition). In The Odyssey, Homer employs most of the literary and poetic devices associated with epics: catalogs, digressions, long speeches, journeys or quests, various trials or tests of the hero, similes, metaphors, and divine intervention. Homer composed The Odyssey in a meter known as dactylic hexameter, which gives the epic its elevated style. Each line has six metrical feet. The first five feet may be made up of either dactyls and/or spondees. A dactyl is a metrical foot consisting of a long sound followed by two short sounds (BEEEEAT beat beat). A spondee has two long sounds (BEEEEAT BEEEEAT).

  • 16. Pros And Cons Of Stricter Gun Control Laws In The United... The second amendment to the Constitution upholds the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Throughout American history there have been many regulations placed on gun ownership, but they prove to be ineffective as almost anyone can obtain a gun through both legal and illegal methods. Many gun control legislations meant to regulate gun ownership have been stalled in Congress. Recent events in the past decade, such as the Las Vegas shooting in October 2017 and the Sandy Hook shooting in December 2012, seem to provide more than enough reason for stricter gun control laws in the United States, but there is not much progress being made to establish stricter laws as both sides of the debate cannot come to a fair compromise. If the United States were to adopt stricter gun control laws, there would be fewer mass shootings, a lower firearmrelated injuries and accidental death, and less violent crime. For these reasons, the United States should pursue new gun laws to create a safer environment for everyone. In the past decade alone, there have been countless mass shootings in the United States alone resulting in a large body count. Whenever a mass shooting occurs, a debate always follows about how easy it is to obtain firearms, despite background checks that have been enacted to make it difficult to purchase firearms. Background checks are designed to determine if the prospective buyer fits any criteria that prohibit purchase or possession of firearms, including a prior felony conviction, certain domestic violence misdemeanors, unlawful use of controlled substances or, inter alia, commitment to a mental institution. (Vernick et al. 98). Background checks are necessary for public safety, but people manage to maneuver their way around background checks when it comes to purchasing a firearm. A background check is not required when purchasing from an unlicensed dealer such as an online store or dealers at a gun show. People prohibited from purchasing guns go through unlicensed dealers because they are not required by law to perform background checks for a firearm purchase. For example, four to ten percent of online shoppers are prohibited by law from possessing firearms, yet they still are looking around in online

Essay on The Power Of The Judiciary The Power of The Judiciary When the founding fathers of our country, and by that I mean the Federalists, were creating the system of government for America, they knew that a separation of power would be necessary to protect the American people from the evils of a monarchy or dictatorship. In doing this, they created the three branches of government; Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary. The plan was to have the Legislative make the laws, Executive enforce the laws, and the Judiciary interpret the laws, and it was Madison s system of quot;Checks and Balances quot; that would keep the three in check. The Supreme Court is without a doubt, a very capable and extremely involved branch of government, equal in power to the Legislative and Executive branch, and well adapted in the duties involved in the system of quot;Checks and Balances quot; that the Federalists established so many years ago. The founders intentions for the Judiciary Branch was to interpret the laws that the Legislative made, and the document by which their standards would be set would of course be the Constitution of the United States. The Supreme Court would render decisions based on the laws drafted into the Constitutions, and it would be asked to interpret them to the best of their ability. Because of this expectation to quot;interpret quot;, the Supreme Court has been allowed to develop the

I can t remember if I cried. When I read about his widowed bride. But something touched me deep inside. The day the music died (McLean). Buddy Holly died on February 3, 1959, in a plane crash. There are two theories on why the song was called American Pie. It was rumored, American Pie was the name of the plane that took Buddy Holly life. Also, someone refers it to a symbol of the beauty queen Miss America (Morgan). Mclean remembered the paper boy delivering the morning paper and there on the front page, was the story of the death of Buddy Holly. The I-Other Duality Zygmunt Bauman best describes the self/other duality where identities are set up in dichotomies in this quote: Woman is the other of man, animal is the other of human, stranger is the other of native, abnormality the other of norm, deviation the other of law abiding, illness the other of health, insanity the other of reason, lay public the other of the expert, foreigner the other of state subject, enemy the other of friend. The question of the Other the one different from yourself and those similar to yourself is ideal for exploration within science fiction, which has always stretched the boundaries of what is possible and imaginable. The Gethenians, being unique in the Hainish universe should by all accounts be the ultimate Other, different in not only culture but in their physiology, but the Ekumen subverts the I Other duality metaphorized as androgyny , by sending the Envoy alone, isolated from his own world to experience Gethen as an Other himself. Gethenians themselves struggle with the fear of the other in the face of the Envoy and patriotism , but it is Genly Ai himself who undergoes the biggest change as he begins to see Gethenians, and his comrade Estraven especially, as fellow human beings. In a scene on the ice, after Estraven and Ai have become closer, they say good night to each other using first names, and Ai is so alienated by the whole experience, that he describes them both as aliens as if he was a third person narrator . The sense of slowly becoming equals matures even more when they discover that they have similar motivations that made them exiles from their
  • 43. Data Partition Properties And Its Structure For Preparing... Map/Reduce is a structure for preparing parallelizable issues crosswise over gigantic datasets utilizing a substantial number of PCs (hubs), all things considered alluded to as a group i.e. if all hubs are on the same local network and use the same hardware) or a framework i.e. if the hubs are shared crosswise over geologically and authoritatively conveyed systems, and use a more heterogenous hardware. Handling can happen on data saved either in a file system unstructured or in a database organized. Map/Reduce can exploit domain of data, preparing it on or close to the storage resources with a specific end goal to reduce the length over which it must be transmitted. Jiaxing et al. proposes SUDO, an advancement system that reasons about data partitioncharacteristics, working properties, and data shuffling. They contend that reasoning about data partition properties crosswise phases opens up chances to reduce extravagant data shuffling. For instance, in the event that we realize that data partitions from past computation phases as of now have alluring properties for the following phase, we have the method to stay away from superfluous data shuffling steps. The fundamental obstruction to reasoning about data partition properties crosswise over processing phases is the utilization of UDFs [4]. At the point when a UDF is viewed as a black box , which is typically the case, we must expect conservatively that all data partition characteristics are lost subsequent to applying
  • 44. Comedy Of Manners Analysis The comedy of manners is a genre of comedy that became established on the English stage during the Restoration period. It can be said that the English comedy of manners started with George Etherege, second would be William Congreve (Palmer 2). Their plays focused on the behavior of people in a society and the feigned values that they cared about ( Comedyof Manners 1). These men constructed realism in their plays keeping their writings authentic and unique while also putting the comedy on stage as close to reality as possible, to show general life of time, its movements, its amusements, its general conceptions, were mirrored upon stage (Dobree 26 29). They used their observations from their own life to represent the setting, events, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The various types could be the fool, the deceiver, the hypocrite, the jealous wife, the interfering parents etc. Comedy of Manners has became well known and grown widespread over many periods in theatre history. Most theatrical genres begins in a certain era but spans upon many periods only if the works of later playwrights successfully tries to restore them which didn t happen a lot. English theatres were closed down between 1642 and 1660 when Oliver Cromwell and the Puritans conquered England and there was no aristocracy. In 1660 King Charles II took the throne and one of his first actions was to grant several key theatrical figures licenses to produce plays and breathe life into the theatre once more. Most of the writers wrote about things that they were passionate about or things that were popular during the time. To provide some examples, George Etherege has been called the actual founder of English comedy of manners (Palmer 31). Etherege described himself as being lazy and too careless to be ambitious, so he decided to write plays for his own enjoyment and for entertainment (Dobree 60). Etherege wrote Sir Fopling Flutter (1676), which is about a young aristocrat that takes place in London during the Restoration period who tries to win the affection
  • 45. Selecting a Microorganism Able to Bioabsorb Aluminum from... Aluminium is the most abundant metal in the earth s crust which occupies 8.8% of its weight and it is most commonly used in water supplies, medicines (Yavuz et al. 2004), explosives, construction of siding, aircrafts and motor vehicles and in food industry as cans, packaging materials, kitchen utensils and vessels (Tuzen and Soylak 2008). Consequently, the environmental exposure of aluminum to human and other animals is obviously possible. This metalion causes Parkinson s disease, Alzheimer s disease (Sun and Wu 2010), encephalopathy/dialysis dementia, osteomalacia (Jalbani et al. 2007; Shokrollahi et al. 2008) and also several clinical diseases particularly in patients with chronic renal failure (Sombra et al. 2003). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sets the secondary permissible standard for aluminiumin drinking water as 0.05 0.2 mg/L (Wilkes University 2007). Therefore it is necessary to remove aluminium from its source, before it enters into the environment. Physico chemical methods such as chemical precipitation, chemical oxidation or reduction, filtration, ion exchange, electrochemical treatment, reverse osmosis, membrane technology and evaporation recovery have been widely used to remove heavy metal ions. These technologies usually produce wastes with high concentrations of metals which are a significant source of environmental pollution. Furthermore, the above methods may be ineffective or expensive, especially when the heavy metal concentrations

Google went the other direction and left just their search bar on the title screen and made sure there were no ads. They resisted on pop up advertising, they felt that it was annoying to the users they insisted they would have sponsored links for their advertising. They really wanted to put emphasize on improving customer experience than putting the revenue first. In order to compete with Microsoft and Yahoo, Google wanted to employ the power of differentiation to create a competitive advantage over its competitors. They wanted the advantage of having faster response times, and greater scalability at lower costs on which making them the most used search engines in the world. A

With respect to Europe Harley could expand the presence of its HOG club as well as begin to offer lines of motorcycles geared toward European tastes that are lighter weight, smaller, and faster. They have already shown signs of doing this with the purchase MV Augusta Group in 2008. For the nation of Japan Harley can expand its local distribution network and subsidiary. An introduction of the HOG club there may also boost interest in the brand. The company can also focus on cutting production costs and offering their motorcycles at lower prices to compete with the local Japanese brands that are considerably cheaper. It would also be wise for Harley to maintain its path of lowering its greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint to appease the Japanese government and to appeal to the Japanese public. Question 4 Harley can compete against firms such as Lifan and Zongshen in a few ways. In one regard Harley can stick to its core business of heavyweight bikes and attempt to rely on its brand name and history to attract customers. These bikes would be more expensive and Harley probably would not make large gains within these markets. Simultaneously Harley could also attempt to open local assembly plants, distribution networks, and subsidiaries to utilize the same low cost labor as their emerging competitors. As they did in Europe, Harley could also purchase one of these competitors to adhere to the tastes of the local market. Harley should look
