A substrate is a molecule which is acted upon by an enzyme. For a chemical reaction to occur
through enzyme, substrate molecules bind to the active site of an enzyme, which contains residues
that catalyse the reaction of the substrate.
Hypothesis: If the concentration of the substrate is increased, then the rate of enzyme activity will
decrease. This is because as the concentration of the substrate increases, there is an increasing
amount of occupied active sites at any given moment. This will cause a decrease in the rate of
enzyme activity as substrate active site collisions are increasingly slowed down thus bringing down

My family and I had planned a trip to Denver, Colorado to visit my brother and his girlfriend. It
took months and months to finally have it all planned out, but we finally figured everything out.
We left for the cities on a Wednesday night. We stayed in a sketchy hotel in the cities by the
airport and flew out of Minneapolis around 5:30 a.m. I was so nervous, as it was my very first
plane ride. The plane was quite small. Our plane was delayed due to them having to deice the
plane due to all the cold. I suddenly started to feel sick, all my nerves had gotten to me so I
reached for the puke bag and puked everywhere! I was so embarrassed, my family and people
around me were laughing so hard at me because I had gotten myself so worked up. But once the
plane started up I felt much better.
As we arrived in Colorado, we went to go get our rental car and then headed to Pikes Peak as we
waited for Jordan and Monet to get off of work. My family had really struggled to find Pikes Peak,
we plugged it into our google maps and it took us to a campground called Pikes Peak then it took

A blazing sun beats down on a desolate parking lot. A man with a clipboard desperately searches
for signatures, begging for his rights to be returned. This man is a felon, and his right to vote has
been taken away. Approximately 5.85 million Americans can t vote due to a felony charge (Newsy).
Although it can be argued that felons have lost their privilege to vote, felon disenfranchisement has
affected and still affects a disproportionate amount of people of color, takes out a huge voter block,
and inhibits the rehabilitation process. Therefore, community members should sign petitions or
contact senators to help felons regain their rights.
Some sources believe felons should not be given the right to vote after having committed a felony,
because voting is a privilege. Once people commit a felony, they lose this privilege. They also
believe that since felons have committed a crime, they do not have the ability to make judgements
in elections. If they made the judgement to commit a crime, they do not have the right mindset to

problems adapting to her new environment. Oregon and her family have been living in the
United States in the same community for the last five years, and have recently relocated to better
community. Oregon feels lost, confused and even scared when she tries to interact with students
in her new school. Oregon lacks confidence and feels because of her background she is not
worthy to be in the children social circle. She has become recluse in school and at home. She has

of peaceful tension between two political groups, the Nationalists and Unionists and by extension

Catherine the Great also known as Catherine II, (who was the most longest ruling female in Russia)
had ruled Russia form 1762 to 1796. During her time in throne, Catherine had made Russia a more
developed country in many different aspects. Catherine the Great had effected nobility, peasantry,
military, religion and taxes / government spendings. She controlled all of these aspects of Russiaand
these are the main reason why she is the absolute monarch.
Like i said Catherine controlled Russia nobility. Nobles were a class of people with high political
static and Catherine the Great had power over them. When Catherine was in throne the nobles
called it the Golden age of Russian nobility, this is because Catherine the great authorized a new
law that would free the nobles form compulsory military. She not only did that, she build many
mansions for them (and there were designed in western designs due to that that was the main style
back then). Finally Catherine wrote manuals for the education for the young noble girls and she

the jaw bone, the periodontal membrane and the gingivae. When Porphyromonas gingivalis
attaches to salivary molecules, epithelial cells, matrix proteins, and teeth bacteria, it first colonizes
the sub gingival area and then extends deeper down to the root area. Binding of P.gingivalis to all
those substances is mediated by P. gingivalis fibrillin, the structural subunit of the major fimbriae.
To grow and reproduce, P.gingivalis requires hemin, the source of peptides and iron that are used
by the bacterium to produce five proteases and three hemagglutinins which are responsible for the
breakdown of the gingival tissue in periodontal disease. This produce inflammatory response which
is triggered by the host s immune response which in its turn leads to swelling of the gingivae and
the development of periodontal pockets around the tooth. After the pocket has been formed, more
bacteria enters these pockets causing more inflammation, periodontal abscess and bone eradication.
