chlorella
 70,000 species of algae known today
 Most researched algae
 Unicellular, no roots, Stem branches or
leaves
 Highest chlorophyll content in all plants
 2-8 microns in size , Similar size of red
blood cell.
 Reproduces 4 new cell every 17-24 hours
Classification
Sub division - Algae
Class - Chlorophyceae
Order - Chlorococcales
Family - Chlorellaceae
Genus - Chlorella
Structure Of Chlorella
Structure of chlorella
Structure of chlorella
 Single cell represents the thallus . The cell is non
motile.
 The cell mostly occur single or sometimes in
groups.
 A cell is very small . It is spherical to ellipsoidal in
shape
 A cell has a single cup shaped or curved band of
chloroplast parietal in position.
 A single pyrenoid is generally found.
 Nucleus lies surrounded by the cytoplasm which
fills up most of the cell
How chlorella is grown
Step by step process
 Step 1 : Nutrition chlorella seeds are grown in lab
 Step 2 : Collected seedlings are cultivated in fermentation
equipment
 Step 3 : The grown seedlings are taken to outdoor
cultivation tank for maximum growth
 Step 4 : The cultivation product later harvested through a
centrifuge , separating the culture solution from the
chlorella
 Step 5 : The separated chlorella is then dried, decassed
and packaged according to product category.
 Step 6 : The packages are sent to a laboratory for quality
inspection.

Vitamins
Health benefits of chlorella
 Strengthens liver function
 Removes fungi , bacteria and poisons from the blood
 Contains the highest known source of chloropyll
 Prevents cancer
 Strengthens the immune system
 Loaded with protein
 Weight loss
 Helps heals peptic ulcers
 Helps asthma
 Helps acne and other skin problems
 Helps to balance harmones
 Helps to handle stress
 Packed with all major B vitamins
 Great for any digestive systoms
 Improves blood sugar level
Broken cell wall
Chlorella has a thick
outer wall. Broken cell
wall chlorella enables
easier absorption of
chlorella’s rich
nutrients.

Chlorella Growth Factor
 Chlorella nucleus has unique substances
known as CGF , which is only present in
chlorella.
 It is rich in glycoproteins , beta-glucans and
other vitamins and minerals which enables
the organism to grow and reproduce rapidly
 CGF is known to increase cell repair and
stimulate growth of new cells in the human
body , which makes chlorella a powerful
whole food
Chlorella In Your Diet
 Add extra rich taste to your smoothie.
 Try adding chlorella powder into bake mixes
Healthy chlorella jello
Side Effects
 The people who are taking chlorella may feel nausea and
abdominal discomfort
 Many countries around the world do not have chlorella as
a regular supplement
 The nutrition content of chlorella varies depending on its
species, growth condition of algae
 Even though chlorella acts as immune booster , it may no
support people who are suffering from immunodeficiency
disease
 Chlorella algae are not safe to apply on the skin ,while
May cause any skin disease.
