CHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND
ANALYSIS SYSTEM
MODEL NO.- ACM- LDES-2309

The microprocessor based automatic, advance, electronic and latest designed COD Analyzers are used for
detection of Chemical Oxygen Demand. The Laboratory COD analyzer acts as water analyzer for detection of
Chemical Oxygen Demand in both polluted and normal water. Weiber water analyzer works as high quality
analysis tool for determination of inorganic pollution, waste water, sewage and Plant Effluent Treatment.
Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) is the laboratory measurement of amount of oxygen used in chemical
reactions that occur in water as a result of the addition of wastes to it. It measures the sum total of organic and
inorganic pollution in waste water. COD is a measure of the relative oxygen-depletion effect of a waste
contaminant in water. It is an essentially a laboratory test which acts as wastewater quality indicator and will
have a significant adverse effect aquatic life in water. This instrument is widely used by teaching or science
research academy, petrochemical industry, water quality monitoring department and environmental protection
department etc.
Weiber's Fast Response COD Analysis System is ideal equipment for measuring COD and with an additional
feature of giving fast results. COD is a kind of laboratory test to determine presence and intensity of waste in
water sample, waste having either known or unknown composition. It is used for measurement of known
substrates in synthetic wastes.

Technical Specifications

Our Fast Response COD analysis system works on the principle of oxidation of oxidisable material with a given
amount of potassium chromate, the titration of excess chromate and the calculation of oxygen consumed.Put a
sample of 2.00 ml in a vial, heat it for 15 minutes, select the program and finally read the results displayed after
the COD analysis is complete.
