• The Nervous System is the system of nerves and nerve centers in human.

3. Two main parts of the Nervous System
1. Central Nervous System (CNS): It consists of the brain and spinal cord.
2. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): It consists of cranial nerves and spinal
nerves.

4. Two suffixes use in this chapter
1. - phasia: speech
2. - trophic: pertaining to development

5. Example of two suffixes use in the Nervous System
1. Dysphasia:
- It is a language disorder in which a person has trouble speaking or
comprehending speech.
- Damaging in one of the adjacent inferior parietal lobe, the inferior lateral lobe,
and the posterior superior temporal lobe as well as the subcortical
connection between their area will cause Dysphasia.

2. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS):
- It is a disease in which certain nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord
slowly die.
- A person with ALS will has the inability to move any part of their body,
speak, or communicate with anything but their eyes.

• The Nervous System is highly difficulty in its structure, function, and
interactions both within itself and with other systems.
• It consists of two main part which is CNS and PNS.
• Damaging in any part of the Nervous System can lead to too many diseases
and disorders.
