The Pros And Cons Of Online Counseling
What is online counseling?
According to National Board of Certified Counselors online counseling defined as technology assisted
distance counseling for individuals, couples, and groups involves the use of the telephone or the
computer to enable counselors and clients to communicate at a distance when circumstances make this
approach necessary or convenient .
Various terms are used for online counseling, including e therapy (Manhal Baugus,2001), cyber
therapy (Suler,2000), online or Internet Therapy (Rochlen, Zack, Speyer,2004), email therapy
(Shapiro Schulman,1996), e counseling (Tate, Jackvony Wing,2003) Internet counseling

Individual therapy carried out over the Internet can include asynchronous methods, such as e mail,
synchronous methods, such as web based messaging (instant messaging), chat, videoconferencing or
voice over IP (Internet phone). Virtual reality therapy and online video game therapy are two
additional emerging online modalities. Online counseling may be provided as the primary treatment
modality or as an adjunct to more traditional forms of mental health treatment. There are many
advantages of online counseling. First of all, it provides accessibility to individuals who are disabled
or housebound. Then, it is also always affordable and convenient. Internet makes mental health
information more accessible. Later, people also feel comfortable while talking to friends and family
about their health care issues, but may not feel the same discussing mental health

The Rule Of Law In Civil And Common Law Traditions
The rule of law in civil and common law traditions In both the common and civil law traditions the
ordinary function of a court is adjudicative. Courts make findings on disputed questions of fact,
identify and apply the relevant law to the facts as agreed by the parties or found by the court, consider
the legal consequences and award appropriate remedies. Thus, a state that adheres to the principle of
rule of law provides legal certainty to it citizens, to plan their lives with less uncertainty and protects
them from to the law from arbitrary use of state power. The rule of law first and foremost seeks to
emphasize the necessity of establishing a rule based society in the interest of legal certainty and
predictability. Legal certainty is a central tenet of the rule of law understood around the world
although its meaning differs between legal traditions and nation States. In 2007 at Potsdam, the G8
Foreign Ministers declared their commitment to the rule of law [as a] core principle on which we build
our partnership and our efforts to promote lasting peace, security, democracy and human rights as well
as sustainable development worldwide and stated that it is imperative to adhere to the principle of
legal certainty. Legal certainty in the civil tradition Legal certainty is a fundamental principle
characteristic of the civil tradition and is recognized within the national legal systems of Europe the

Symbols In The Destructors
Graham Greene s The Destructors (1954) is set in London nine years after the end of World War II.
The protagonist is Trevor who is the new leader of the Wormsley Common Gang. Trevor leads the
gang to destroy an old house that belongs to an old gentleman named Mr. Thomas, whom the boys call
Old Misery. Symbol is one element that supports the plot. The Glossary of Terms defines symbol as
follows: Something that means more than what it is; an object, person, situation, or action that in
addition to its literal meaning suggests other meanings as well (1647). Two symbols from the story
that support the plot are the burning of the money and the house itself. These two symbols play a huge
part in the main character s life and have a much deeper ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Old Misery lives in an old beautiful house built by Christopher Wren. The special thing about this
house is that it is the only house still standing on its block after the bombing attacks on London from
September 1940 to May 1941. This house represents Trevor s old upper class lifestyle. This is why
Trevor is so driven to destroy it. The destruction has nothing to do with popularity for their gang.
Trevor wants to get rid of all ties to his old way of living that he feels has betrayed him. It is seen in
this quote when he calls the house beautiful, T. said, It s a beautiful house, (114). In the preceding
quote we see Trevor use the word beautiful , and this is a definitely not a word used by the Wormsley
Common Gang. As seen in this in this part of the story when Greene gives insight on Blackie s
thoughts, It was the word beautiful that worried him that belonged to a class world that you could still
see parodied at the Wormsley Common Empire (115). This house being called beautiful is unfamiliar
to the gang and this house represents the upper class society that the gang often makes fun of. This
house also represents Trevor in a particular way as a beautiful and noble thing that has been broken
and ripped apart from the inside out. When Trevor moves from the upper class society, he becomes
much like this house after the destruction broken and useless. Greene makes the symbolic connection
clear: he looked round the room crowded with the unfamiliar shadows of half things, broken things,
former things (119). One of the broken things in the room is

Roman Emperor Trajan Research Paper
Trajan is considered by many historians as one of the greatest Roman emperors. He conquered Parthia
and Dacia, expanding Rome s borders. He was also the first non Roman emperor in Rome s history.
Trajan was born in Italica, Baetica (modern day Spain) on September 15th, 53 CE, and he died on
either August 8th or August 9th, 117 CE in Selinus, Cilicia (modern day Turkey). Trajan started his
career as a legionary staff tribune in Syria, where his father was governor. After that, he became a
praetor, which qualified him for command of a legion in Spain in 89 CE. One day, he was ordered to
march his troops to Rome to help a revolt against emperor Domitian, but the revolt was suppressed by
the time he arrived. In 91 CE, Domitian allowed him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One example of public buildings built by Trajan was Trajan s Forum. Trajan s Forum was designed by
the architect Apollodorus of Damascus. Trajan s Forum contains a four story, open air shopping mall,
the Basilica Ulpia, where laws and government matters were handled, and Trajan s Column. Trajan s
Forum was a huge architectural achievement because slaves and workers cut two hemicycles into the
Capitoline and Quirinal hills. In the holes, warehouses and shops were built, and many streets were
formed (Hammond). Another example of Trajan building public buildings is Trajan s Column. Trajan s
Column is an 126 feet tall Column that depicts the invasion and conquering of Dacia. There are
thousands of figures telling the story of the Dacian War. The figures are fighting, sailing, building, and
negotiating in all of the intricate scenes (Curry). In 117, when Trajan died, his ashes were transported
to Rome and he was buried under the column (Hammond). Another example of Trajan building public
buildings is Trajan s Market. Trajan s Market is a four story, open air shopping mall built between 107
and 110 CE. It contained the main building, a covered market, small shop fronts, and a residential
apartment building. The market was situated behind Trajan s Forum and had many functions, mostly
commercial. The bottom three levels housed many shops. The shops sold fruits, vegetables, fish, wine,
oil,

Montag s Addiction To Technology In Farenheit 451
(MIP 1) Addiction to technology can be seen inside of the people in the society. (SIP A) Addiction to
the walls and Family is seen in Mildred and her friends. (STEWE 1) Mildred is usually just staring at
the TV or listening to her seashells. Sometimes she looks almost lifeless and the room looks empty,
And in her ears the little Seashells, the thimble radios tamped tight, and an electronic ocean of sound,
of music and talk and music and talk coming in, coming in on the shore of her unsleeping mind. The
room was indeed empty (10). She is so into her seashells that when she is paying attention she shows
not sign of life in her. (STEWE 2) Nobody listens anymore. I can t talk to the walls because they re

the people in the society lose the characteristic of selflessness. (SIP A) The society shows lack of
selflessness to their families. (STEWE 1) Montag and the girls start talking about the lady s children
and they say horrible stuff about them, I plunk the children in school nine days out of ten. I put up
with them when they come home three days a month; it s not bad at all. You heave them into the
parlour and turn the switch. It s like washing clothes; stuff laundry in and slam the lid. Mrs. Bowles
tittered. They d just as soon kick as kiss me. Thank God, I can kick back! (93). The society does not
care about their children they think of them more as a chore than family. They never spend time with
them instead they just leave them a school or to watch TV and if they have to the parents are willing to
hit their kids in order to put them in line. (STEWE 2) When

Track Research Papers
The first modern Olympics was held in Athens, Greece, in 1896. The first foot races were held at this
event. We now refer to these exciting races as track. The races consist of sprinters, middle distance,
and distance runners. The races can range from 100 meters all the way up to 10,000 meters. All of
these runners have different jobs and roles on their teams. A great deal of precise and dedicated
training goes into their workouts. Despite the distance they run, track runners are extremely hard
workers. One type of runner in track is the sprinter. The original Olympic event know as the stadion
race, was a sprint of around 180 meters. Now there are generally three different sprint distances. These
consists of the 100 meter, 200 meter, and the 400 meter dash. Most elite level sprinters train about 20
hours a week for races that are just seconds long. They have to train on the track, in the weight room,
and in the kitchen. Michael Johnson and Tyson Gay are two very talented runners that ran for USA.
The greatest sprinter of all time is a Jamaican runners named Usain Bolt. Usain Bolt is considered a
legend on the track. He has been to 4 olympic games, where he collected 8 medals, all ... Show more

Long distance events in track include the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. Many people consider the
long distance runners to be the hardest workers of the three types of runners. A typical week for a
distance runner like Galen Rupp consists of running up to 135 miles per week. This is done with no
rest days and two sessions every day. Long distance runners lose gallons of sweat every week, so
staying hydrated is very important. Mohamed, Mo, Farah is the most famous distance runner in the
world currently. He was born in Somalia, but he runs competitively for Great Britain. Mo has four
gold medals from two different Olympics, making him the most successful British track athlete ever.

African American Gangs
The two ethnic group I ve chosen to discuss here are the Norteno and Sureno Hispanics, along with
the Bloods and Crips of the African American cultures. Although the groups have several ethnic
differences the political aspect of the sets they claim have several similarities. In terms of street gangs,
Hispanic, and African American gangs dominate the world of gangs, in size, violence, drug
distribution, and representation throughout the country and even internationally. Valdez states, African
American street gangs adopted membership indicia commonly used by Latino Gangs A common form
for all gangs are to use graffiti, which is a way of marking their territory and or a way to show rival

Bloods and Crips exist in smaller groups in the prison system, but usually have what appears to be
some sort of truce, while serving their prison term. If they do form these small groups, it is because
they are looking for protection. If the African American gang member decides to be part of the gang
they usually decide to side with the prison gang, The Black Guerrilla Family, which is the largest
African American prison gang. However, the Hispanic gang members in and out of prison are
interdependent on each other s support and representation. is that the Hispanic gangs on the streets are
already representing their prison gangs, as they serve as the foot soldiers that earn money for their
brothers that are serving time. Once the Norteno or Sureno member arrives into the prison he is
immediate sought out and taken into the protection of his gang. In a way it like they grow in their

Two Theories Of Learning Essay
Theories of Learning
This part of the essay will analyse two theories on how children learn within a classroom. Cognitive
Psychology is the study of the processes and structures under structures underlying knowledge . In
other words Cognitive Psychology analyses how a person thinks, perceives, remembers and learns
(Murtagh, 2017, Lecture 2). This essay will make reference to Piaget s Theory of Cognitive
Development and Vygotsky s Social Constructivism Theory. Both theories have an immense influence
on practice and educational theory today.
Jean Piaget studied how children make sense of their thoughts and actions in order to make sense of
their experience. Piaget developed the four stages of Cognitive Development (Campbell, 2006, p. 5).
Piaget states people should adapt to their environment. He described two processes for Adaptation (
Process of creating a good fit between one s conception of reality and one s experiences ), firstly
Assimilation and secondly, Accommodation (Murtagh, Lecture 2, 2017). Assimilation is the process of
using or transforming the environment so that it can be placed in pre existing cognitive structures.
Accommodation is the process of changing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

development forward . A teacher or peer offer help to the student, therefore the student is able to
complete the task with assistance. ZPD students require active teaching It s a waste of time to teach
kids what they already know and what they cannot do even with assistance (Utah Education Network,

Cry, The Beloved Country, By Alan Paton
In South Africa, the plight of apartheid tore apart communities, families, and individuals. It was a
social concern that came under increasing attack and response as apartheid reached its zenith in the
middle of the 20th century. It was not unlike segregation and the Jim Crow mentality that prevailed in
the United States; with its ancient roots and adverse effects. Indeed, one is curiously reminded of
Harper Lee s well known novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, and its role in trying to formulate an escape
from that system. An escape with various routes, but an escape that interestingly calls back to the
nature of innocence and child like questions. It is in this way that Alan Paton s enduring novel, Cry,
The Beloved Country, takes on a unique and refreshing approach to a basic question: that of the
equality and dignity of all people. Throughout Cry, The Beloved Country, Paton exudes frequent
references to childhood, a devout religiosity, and of course, a return to simple questions; all of which
contribute the idea of innocence and a certain naiveté that contribute significantly to Paton s message.
Extended and found in abundance, the warmth and almost reassurance of children provides a
foundation and almost stronghold throughout the novel. Both of the central characters around who the
story is centralized are old men, but both of them experience a journey that calls to mind the idea that
one is never quite finished growing up. The newness of Kumalo s journey (with both exciting

Short And Long Term Effects Of The Greek Revolution
The Ottoman Turks first ruled over Greece when it captured Constantinople and eventually the rest of
Greece. This put Greece and a variety of other countries in their power. The Greeks wanted liberation
from the Turks from the start and began having unsuccessful rebellions that eventually lead to the
rebellion in the Peloponnese, where the war is said to have really begun. They were inspired by the
successes of the French Revolution and felt responsible for the preservation and development of their
culture. This bonded them together and made them feel nationalism. The Greek War of Independence
was a successful liberal movement that achieved their goals and was revolutionary. Under the
Ottoman rule, the Greeks were not happy. The Muslim Turks ... Show more content on

Starting with the short term effects, the first matter to be solved was the land question. After the
Greeks had won, there were plots of land abandoned by the Turks. The Greek government eventually
gave each peasant family and veteran 20 acres of the confiscated land too small for prosperity, but
enough to show that they believed that each Greek could be self sustainable. Next, with one part of the
population of Greeks independent, they needed to figure out what their relationship was with all of the
Greek nation. In response, they made a policy in which all Greeks were unified. Onto the long term
effects, the revolt is a crucial in Ottoman history because it started a wave of rebellions against them
eventually leading to their demise and the creation of new Mediterranean states. The Greek revolution
was in no way the first rebellion against the Ottoman Empire, but it was the first successful one with
foreign involvement. The Ottoman empire was made up of a variety of people of different races and
beliefs. After the Greek success, the remaining people and Greeks in the Ottoman empire were
inspired to make their own stand for independence and many would succeed. Not only was the
revolution important to Ottoman history, but it was obviously important to the Greek s history as well.
When King Otto was on the throne, it was almost as if nothing had changed. He imposed the same
high taxes just as the Ottoman Empire (maybe even higher) and ruled as an absolute monarch. Based
off the revolution, the chance that the Greeks would keep still was close to none. They revolted in
1843 and forced him to sign a new Constitution and instituted a constitutional monarchy. Eventually,
he would prove to be a ruler unfit of Greece and was deposed of. This also inspired more Greeks to be
a part of politics. Besides King Otto, one other problem layed in the failure to create a

Evaluation of a Social Psychological Theory of Aggression...
Evaluation of a Social Psychological Theory of Aggression
One of the most influential approaches to aggression is the social learning theory approach, put
forward by Albert Bandura. According to this approach, most behaviour including aggressive
behaviour is learned. Albert Bandura believed that aggression is learned through a process called
behaviour modelling. He argued that individuals, especially children learn aggressive responses from
observing others, either personality or through the media and environment. He stated that many
individuals believed that aggression would produce reinforcements. These reinforcements can
formulate into reduction of tension, gaining financial rewards, or gaining ... Show more content on

He believed environmental experiences also had an influence on the social learning of violence in
children. He reported that individuals that lived in high crime rate areas were more likely to act
violently than those who lived in low crime areas. He also believed television was a source of
behaviour modelling. Today films and television shows illustrate violence graphically. Violence is
often expressed as an acceptable behaviour. Since aggression is a prominent feature of many shows,
children who have a high amount of exposure to the media may show a high degree of hostility
themselves in imitation of the aggression they have witnessed.
Bandura carried out a study on aggressive behaviour towards the Bobo doll. In the first stage of the
study, children who had observed an adult model attack a Bobo doll were divided into three groups.
Group 1 went straight into the playroom; Group 2 saw the model being rewarded for their aggression
against the doll, while group 3 saw the adult model punished. In the second stage of the study, after
the children had played with the doll, all the children were offered rewards to behave as the adult
model had done.
The results showed, in the first stage of the, group 3 children showed significantly less aggressive
behaviour towards the dolls than group 1 and 2. In the second stage of the study, there was no
difference between the groups in the

Stephen King Learning To Write Analysis
Comparing Different Approaches on How to Become a Better Writer
The importance of reading is well described by two highly educated and skilled authors. Reading to
Write by Stephen King and Learning to Read by Malcom X. King s piece looks to encourage hopeful
writers by expounding upon the importance of incessantly reading in order to become a better writer.
X s account goes into how he was able to teach himself to read which opened up unlimited knowledge
to him. He hopes to encourage others to read to defeat ignorance and prevent being controlled by
misinformation and hidden truths. Both authors do their job in relating their passion for reading and
absolutely inspire the reader to pick up a book. King does this far better by being much more relatable
by sharing personal experiences whereas X s description digresses into his own personal motives far
too often to be as effective. King s style is informal, familiar and yet direct as a means of impressing
his wisdom upon the reader. From the start he tells you exactly what you have to do, If ... Show more

Malcolm Essay
Thirsting for Power
Monica Rivera
Power is defined the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or
quality. Each and every person possesses some type of power over another thing. Some people are
content with not having any power whatsoever and then there are people whose entire lives revolve
around that thirst and need for power. The latter is a description of two famous people in history,
Malcolm X and Julius Caesar. Thirsting for power and wanting to much of a good thing can be very
self destructive. This thirst for power can cause people to be blinded but the reality of what is going on
around them. Taking into consideration that both of these powerful ... Show more content on

However, much of the conquest was an act of aggression prompted by personal ambition (not unlike
the conquests of Alexander the Great). Fighting in the summers, he would return to Cisalpine Gaul
(northern Italy) in the winters and manipulate Roman politics through his supporters, (Kebric).
After this and many more complex events and elections Caesar would continue to plunder neighboring
territories and occupy them. This is how the rise of the Roman Empire, the strongest and longest
lasting empire began. Caesar would publicly deny his want to be idolized as a King but acted in ways
that suggested he wanted to be idolized more of a God than a Monarch. It was this attitude and his
thirst for more power, more territory that would lead his enemies to assassinate him in 44 BC.
Caesar attended the last meeting of the Senate before his departure, held at its temporary quarters in
the portico of the theater built by Pompey the Great (the Curia, located in the Forum and the regular
meeting house of the Senate, had been badly burned and was being rebuilt). The sixty conspirators, led
by Marcus Junius Brutus, Gaius Cassius Longinus, Decimus Brutus Albinus, and Gaius Trebonius,
came to the meeting with daggers concealed in their togas and struck Caesar at least 23 times as he

The Relationship Between A Mother And A Child
Ainsworth Bell (1970) explains the relationship between a mother and a child, in regards to
attachment and exploration. The article discusses the child s attachment behavior during separation
and reunion of the mother. Ainsworth Bell (1970) research exemplifies the idea of nurture being the
primary reason for some characteristics of attachment to lead into adulthood. Ainsworth Bell (1970)
believe that attachment to the mother increases explanatory behavior and separation causes
insecurities towards the mother. This theory, nonetheless, has several impediments. While attachment
behavior to the mother is crucial for the relationship among the infant and the mother, this is not the
only relationship that is established among infants. Relationships with close family members and
fathers need to be considered. White middle class families were used during the experiment, while the
middle class is known to have a healthier lifestyle then lowercase families. Ainsworth Bell (l970) lack
to show variation among infants that grew up in a bad environment that could potentially play a factor
among infant and mother attachmment. Ainsworth Bell (1970) research is in nurture during early child
development context; however the environment and connections made with people throughout a child

Tyrannicide Is The Killing Of A Tyrant By Usurpation
Tyrannicide is the killing of a tyrant. Usually killed for the common good. The English noun tyrant
derives from Latin tyrannus, meaning illegitimate ruler . The term Tryannicides describes those who
kill tyrants. Tyrants can be classified in two categories usurpation and oppression. A tyrant by
usurpation is when a tyrant tries to take down a higher ruler. In other words, a tyrant by usurpation is a
traitor. These types of tyrants may be put straight to death by legitimate authority. If a usurper already
established his rule and is living peacefully with his reigns, until a certain period, the legitimate ruler
can expel him by force. The ruler can kill him for his offence. However under different circumstances,

The online shopping players can then develop strategies, to increase a loyal customer base by focusing
on the identified factors.
Objective
The objective of the research is to identify critical factors which affect online shopping experience the
most.
Literature review
According to Tauber (1972), experiences are an important part of consuming and shopping. Shoppers
are not always simply looking to buy products, but also want to get pleasure from the shopping
activity. This experience is affected by the customer s shopping goals, what they expect, and what
their motivations are (Demangeot Broderick, 2006).
Motivation for shopping online is an important factor to consider when analysing the shopping
experience (Swatman Chin, 2004). Holbrook and Hirschman (1982) established that it is highly
important to create hedonic significance through good experiences in order to toughen up the
relationships with consumers. Customer experience involves engaging several of the customer s
aptitudes to satisfy and create value while he interacts with the organisation, its products and its other
customers. Similarly, an online retailer s role is to establish an appropriate environment to help
customers in gaining a positive experience while shopping online (Pentina et al., 2011). When people
shop online, they are not only consumers but also users of the computer (Demangeot Broderick,

Analysis Of Les Demoiselles DAvignon
Les Demoiselles d Avignon Abstract expressionism Jackson Pollock Yif Chen Oct. 10th Les
Demoiselles d Avignon is probably the most representative painting that transits Picasso to cubism. It
is a radical break from the conventional representation that for so long has been accepted in western
culture because Picasso directly brings concepts like sexuality, female nude bodies, and sexually
transmitted diseases to form a palpable three dimensional fractured space. Picasso depicts the
opposition of pleasure, which is sensual eroticism with sarcasm in a brothel located on a street named
Avignon, takes women outward to audiences and engages with viewers. This painting is an
untraditional and bold confrontation with the conventional art, thus, revolutionizing the entire art
world. In this eye catching depiction, five prostitutes with five different shocking positions cover all
over the canvas. With different elements, like the African mask, disproportional gesture, and Iberian
sculpture, complexity and contraction are vividly portrayed in this painting. Making use of
aggressively nude bodies, Picasso boldly pulls exaggerated and distorted expression into the canvass,
and forms a sense of flatness by directing an interior, closed, and almost claustrophobic space, because
every prostitute is almost near the edge of canvass, but at the same time, is perfectly enclosed by the
space. There is no illusion or visual space that creates depth; the whole canvas is filled with

Development Of Innovative Educational Methodologies
According to Hall (2005, pp188), Insight into the educational, systemic and personal factors, which

methodologies to improve inter professional collaborative practice. IPE is integral in a healthcare
environment, and serves to allow individuals within the healthcare profession to gain an appreciation
for differing roles. Using the Kolb s Learning Cycle (1984), I will chronologically reflect upon my
experiences of IPE, considering concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation
and active experimentation. After having exchanged pleasantries, individuals seemed coy and as
theorised by Tuckman (1965), it was inherent that our team was in the forming stage of development
within a small group. Polite and perfunctory conversation took place, which made it difficult to
progress with the task in hand. Having worked as a member of teams in the past, it was pertinent to
use what little time we had wisely and I felt it necessary to adopt the role of a team leader, akin to that
theorised by the Hersey Blanchard Situational Leadership® model. Here, I styled my leadership in the
manner of selling the task providing information and direction which, accompanied by communication
from individuals in the team, would lead to the sale of the task and potential delegation of
responsibilities and progression with it. However, there were barriers to progress in that; upon

Pros And Cons Of Heroes
The term hero is viewed differently by separate individuals at various levels. The meaning or who is
considered a hero depends on several factors such as the context, the culture, the virtues, and other
social factors existing in a community. An act can be heroic or offensive depending on where, when or
how a person conducts it. Therefore, a hero is a person who is believed by others to possess powers,
strengths, special achievements or personal qualities which the ordinary man does not have or
someone who is a role model. However, as much as heroes are people who others praise for certain
reasons, they equally possess evident setbacks depending on the different varied views of individuals.
It is, therefore, clear that heroes possess certain qualities which can be viewed positively or negatively
depending on the various individual differences.
One of the pros of heroes is the ability to serve as role models and mentors. The outstanding qualities
of heroes include selflessness, patience, bravery, humility, kindness, and perseverance. Heroes are
people who put others lives first before them. Also, heroes are individuals who sacrifice themselves to
support others to get out of stressful situations despite the hardships they may undergo. In some cases,
heroes sacrifice their lives at the expense of those whom they serve. For instance, soldiers risk their
lives to defend their country from terrorism. Equally, firefighters take courage to rescue lives from
massive fires. Heroes, therefore, are risk takers, brave and capable of leading others to resolve crises
globally or at the personal level. It does not mean that by doing such deeds heroes don t value their
lives, but they value humanity more.
Heroes save lives. They dedicate their careers to help the poor and the underprivileged. They labor to
end social injustice and toil to come up with new medical discoveries. Heroes spend a part of or most
of their time in doing charity work. For instance, providing food for the hungry, visiting the sick and
providing free medication is the work of heroes who serve without reward. Also, those who discover
certain medicines that heal diseases are heroes serving in that capacity. Researchers in the medical
field spend most

Guilt In The Crucible
With the mistakes of humanity come both guilt and sins. In the story the crucible written by Arthur
Miller shows guilt can move people to make sacrifices. Guilt has the ability to drive people to make
dire choices. Many characters like reverend John Hale, and Reverend Parris felt this guilty conscience,
this remorse about what they had all done., especially John Proctor who throughout the story strives to
exempt from his guilt and sins.
Reverend John Hale an overconfident straight lace man, was a scholar from Beverly. Hale comes to
Salem on Reverend Parris request to investigate supernatural causes for Betty Parris suspicious illness
and instigates the rumors of witchcraft. Hale approaches the situation precisely and intellectual,
believing that he can define the supernatural. Throughout the play he is in search of the devil, and
believes that he will find Satan and get rid of him. John Hale s personality changes drastically toward
the end of the story. He has changed from a very overconfident man in the beginning of the play to a

motive for Victor and the son to attempt to conform to these unreasonable standards set forth by

Art in War
Art in War A pioneer of artistic influence in American culture, Frederick Childe Hassam led the
revolution of art in the World War I era. In the midst of a world crisis, Hassam became a trailblazer of
his own technique; he promoted a new form of Impressionism that not only reinforced the subtlety and
free flow style of French Impressionism, but also reinforced the vivacity and tenacity that he wanted
to express. Amalgamating the techniques of French Impressionism with the nationalistic values of the
American art and culture, Hassam promulgated what was eventually known as American
Impressionism. However, throughout this assembly process , Hassam never forgot his goal: to vividly
capture the patriotism that the American, British, and French people all shared in a time of upheaval,
and use it to unite them. He displayed the newfound and unlikely alliance between the Allied powers
through his art, and in doing so, progressively strengthened the alliance between France, Great Britain,
and the United States. In Europe and the United States, the American Impressionists witnessed the
transformation from an agrarian to an industrialized urban society, especially over the course of time
leading up to the war. Hassam was simultaneously excited by change and nostalgic for the reassuring
and familiar past. Unlike many painters, Hassam did not spend a lifetime in pursuit of his art with
little critical, social or financial recognition. He was a tremendously talented painter who

Child Malnutrition And A Lack Of Child Psycho Social
Child malnutrition and a lack of child psycho social stimulation is a problem that faces many nations.
Some countries are more successful than others at solving this problem through social programs.
Social programs aimed at providing children with proper nutrition and psycho social stimulation
should be a social and political priority.
Introduction
Finance is all about the proper allocation of capital. Nations can sometimes make investments that
private firms cannot because the capital expenditures are just too vast. A few successful public
investments that come to mind are the interstate system and NASA. However, it could be argued that
people are our most valuable assets. We invest in our own people through our various education
systems, healthcare systems, along with other social programs. If we realize that proper investments
can be made into improving the quality of life of all people one would soon come across the idea that
our children are of the upmost priority. In particular, ensuring that all children have access to adequate
nutrition, enriching educational environments, and a loving social unit proves to be one of the wisest
investments that a nation can make. The current risks to our children and solutions for how we can
invest in our children s well being and development will be analyzed. A case will be made on why a
shift in Western perspective is practical when approaching an implementation of social programs.

Attachment Theory, Biological Influences
The issue of attachment is one that influences an individual throughout their life, affecting many
aspects of their development. It is first formed during infancy between the child and their primary care
giver and is maintained over the course of their lifespan. The level of attachment that is formed during
infancy creates a foundation for psychological development in the course of the individual s life
(Santrock, 2013). Attachment security can be an indication of the quality of an individual s future
relationships, as well as challenges that may arise from such interactions. The following will discuss
the attachment theory, biological influences of attachment, factors that contribute to the type of
attachment formed during infancy and early childhood, and its impact and complications throughout
each stage of development from infancy through late adulthood.
Attachment Theory
Bolwby s attachment theory suggests that infants come into the world biologically pre programmed to
form attachments with others in order to survive. He believed that most behaviors associated with
attachment are instinctive and are active during conditions or situations that are threatening. The
attachment theory attributes an infant s fear of strangers to a natural survival mechanism; their crying
helps ensure their caregivers awareness and proximity to them. An infant s behaviors, such as crying,
smiling, or crawling, are meant to stimulate caregiving in adults. Attachment is determined by the

Compare And Contrast The Last Judgement And The Sistine...
Both of the paintings by Michelangelo are excellent examples of Renaissance era art. These two
paintings are the Last Judgment and the Sistine Chapel ceiling. The ceiling was worked on from 1508
to 1512 and shows many themes common throughout Renaissance art. One of the most prominent is
the stunning realism in both pieces. Despite there being hundreds of figures is both pieces each is
extremely realistic. There s a huge stress on the human figure in this painting and they look as though
they could be real people. There s also a fair amount of perspective, although this isn t one of the most
important parts of the paintings.
Another interesting motif is the international influence in the paintings. Even though the paintings
have extremely Catholic origins they have some elements of other cultures. One of the biggest ways
this is shown is in the sibyls that are between some of the scenes. These sibyls have origins from
Africa, Asia, Greece, and Ionia. These paintings also show departure from traditional Catholic values
in some of the symbolism the paintings show. In the center of the ceiling there is a painting of man

Treatment Of Schizophrenia And Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Some of the common psychiatric disorders that are experienced by patients include depression,

Sample Management Plan For Medical Equipment
2.5Maintenance Management Plan
Dyro (2004) indicates that periodic medical device management is a fundamental element of
equipment management. Arno, Dowling and Schuerger (2016) report that high reliability and low
maintenance costs are common targets for all maintenance programs. A carefully designed
preventative maintenance can reduce maintenance costs through the prevention of degradation failure
through preemptive intervention. Corrective maintenance is required when a failure occurs and it is
often more expensive than a preventative maintenance. Preventative maintenance is implemented to
decrease the probability of some particular expected failures and therefore decrease the overall
maintenance cost.
2.5.1 Preventive Maintenance
Medical equipment is usually expensive and require high mechanical precision, especially for the
equipment that produce devices that install in patients body. Fennigkoh and Smith (1989) indicate that
medical equipment needs constant maintenance to make sure that it can perform required high
requirements, which makes preventive maintenance very important in medical industry. Another
benefit of implementing preventive maintenance is that it also decreases expensive corrective
maintenance costs.
2.5.2 Preventive Maintenance Regulations for Medical Equipment
According to Centers for Medicare medicaid Services (CMS) Preventive Maintenance Regulations
(2011) Medical Equipment (e.g., laboratory equipment, IV infusion equipment, biomedical

The Impact Of Franz Ferdinand s Assassination On World War I
In 1914 Gavrilo Princip, a member of the Serbian Black Hand, assassinated Archduke Franz
Ferdinand, heir to the Austro Hungarian Empire, instigating an immediate cause of World War I. As
the third largest European power by area, the Empire was a powerful presence leading up to World
War I, with a population of over fifty million people and an army of 400,000 soldiers. The conflicts
among European powers and the disorder in the Balkans in the 19th and 20th centuries led to a
situation in which Franz Ferdinand s assassination proved to be the tipping point in the fragile
relationship between Austria Hungary and the South Slav nationalities that threatened the Empire both
internally and externally. His death caused a costly war in terms of both lives and the economy in the
South Slav region and further undermined the stability of Serbia. Princip assassinated the heir to the
throne in an attempt to spark a revolution that would result in Slavic independence from Austria
Hungary. However, before his death, Franz Ferdinand supported economic development for Slavs
within the Austro Hungarian Empire and favored more equal measures toward the South Slav
nationalities. Thus, Franz Ferdinand had served as a roadblock to the extreme militant wing within
Austria Hungary. With the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, Serbian extremists damaged the
opportunity for more moderate Slavic peoples within Austria Hungary to achieve greater autonomy
under Austro Hungarian rule since Ferdinand

A Survey Of The New Testament
A Survey of the New Testament The New Testament is defined as part of the Bible concerned with the
life and teachings of Christ and his earliest followers (American Century Dictionary 387). The Son of
God comes to Earth to save us from our sins and to teach us a new way of serving the Lord. Animal
sacrifice is done away with because Jesus died for our sins as a perfect sacrifice and his sacrifice is
everlasting. Jesus explained, for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but
that the world through him might be saved (John 3.17). This collection consists of twenty seven
books, in which I will break down into five sections. First are the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke,
and John, the book of Acts, which is commonly classified as a book of history. Next are the epistles of
Paul which are the book of Romans through Philemon, the general epistles of Hebrews through Jude,
and the prophecy book of Revelation. 1. The Gospels The book of Matthew provides a detailed
account of the life of Jesus and establishes that Jesus Christ is the Messiah who fulfills the Old
Testament prophesies (Wiersbe 627). The author Matthew is primarily aiming his writings at the Jews
to let them know that he is the savior who is referred to several times in the Old Testament (Isiah 7:14,
53:5, 53:12). This book is also the longest of the four gospels having twenty eight chapters. Mark is
the shortest of the four gospels having 16 chapters, but is equally important as the

Analysis Of To Pimp A Butterfly, By Kendrick Lamar
Introduction
For centuries, rap has been used as a tool of expression of art. Capitalism and its oppressive qualities
have forced the oppressed class to use it as a way to vent their anger and seek justice or liberation. Rap
is a form of hip hop and can be used to express real life experiences or issue like violence, poverty and
the social and institutional discrimination experienced in America. When referring to rap in this study,
its specifically, discussing political rap or gangster rap lyrics . Notably, rap has been used throughout
history to present day; we ve seen it during social movement like the Civil rights movement and now
for the Black lives matter movements. Artist like, Tupac Shakur, N.W.A. and Kendrick Lamar are

Thus, many people that criticize can possibly a misunderstand the themes and the overall message
being portrayed. Thus, a content analysis is needed to examine the oppressive image Lamar is
attempting to present in his lyrics. This paper will begin with a literature review of five academic
sources that focus on black identity, reputations of rap music, and resistance to institutional injustice.
These all will relate to how Lamar is portraying those that are subjugated by systematic political and
social oppression through his context lyrics. The second section will present the research methodology
used in the study. This study, conducted using a content analysis to gather the non interactive data
from secondary sources. It plans to demonstrate the importance of lyrical themes being portrayed. The
sampling method used purposive sampling. Analyzing the song lyrics of TBTB in latent content and
will explain the coding decision as evidence of the themes. The primary themes that will be examined
are Black identity and institutional discrimination towards black individuals. The last section, analyze
the findings and provide a conclusion that discusses the contributions to the body of political science

Differences Between Culture, Race, And Class
This paper will focus on the similarities and differences in cultures and how it relates to schooling,
family, religion, education and language. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the effects that
culture, race, and class have on human s behaviors, resilience, struggles and faith. . The cross culture
countries of analysis will be Guyana and Portugal which are situated at two opposite ends of the
world. Which makes this comparison even more compelling? With worlds so distant, one might
expect to have fewer similarities. But as I began to categorize the similarities and difference on chart
exhibit A, I was pleasantly surprised with the commonalities. First I developed a chart and compare
the similarities and differences, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the text Understanding Human Differences by Koppelman stated For every talent that
poverty has stimulated it has blighted a hundred (p. 264). Secondly, the difference that was
recognizable was the religious aspect. Even though Claudio was raised a Roman Catholic and I an
Anglican, we both believe in the same God. Our views on heaven and hell totally differ relating to
religious beliefs. From my perspective I, believe in heaven and a hell. Coupled with, being
accountable to someone when you depart this world. As the saying goes, everyone was put on this
earth for a reason and we as individuals should achieve and accomplished the purpose we were meant
to achieve. If for some reason, we did not achieve our purpose while we were on earth, then there
should be consequences for our actions or missteps when our souls depart this earth. Claudio on the
other hand, whose early years were deeply engrossed in becoming a priest, has drawn a connection
from his own life experience. For instance, he seems to come to the conclusion that there is a heaven,
but not a hell. He also elaborated that the persecution that humans endure during their lifetime on
earth is the hell we sometimes describes when

The Rule Of Law In Civil And Common Law Traditions The rule of law in civil and common law traditions In both the common and civil law traditions the ordinary function of a court is adjudicative. Courts make findings on disputed questions of fact, identify and apply the relevant law to the facts as agreed by the parties or found by the court, consider the legal consequences and award appropriate remedies. Thus, a state that adheres to the principle of rule of law provides legal certainty to it citizens, to plan their lives with less uncertainty and protects them from to the law from arbitrary use of state power. The rule of law first and foremost seeks to emphasize the necessity of establishing a rule based society in the interest of legal certainty and predictability. Legal certainty is a central tenet of the rule of law understood around the world although its meaning differs between legal traditions and nation States. In 2007 at Potsdam, the G8 Foreign Ministers declared their commitment to the rule of law [as a] core principle on which we build our partnership and our efforts to promote lasting peace, security, democracy and human rights as well as sustainable development worldwide and stated that it is imperative to adhere to the principle of legal certainty. • 4. Symbols In The Destructors Graham Greene s The Destructors (1954) is set in London nine years after the end of World War II. The protagonist is Trevor who is the new leader of the Wormsley Common Gang. Trevor leads the gang to destroy an old house that belongs to an old gentleman named Mr. Thomas, whom the boys call Old Misery. Symbol is one element that supports the plot. The Glossary of Terms defines symbol as follows: Something that means more than what it is; an object, person, situation, or action that in addition to its literal meaning suggests other meanings as well (1647). Two symbols from the story that support the plot are the burning of the money and the house itself. These two symbols play a huge part in the main character s life and have a much deeper ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Old Misery lives in an old beautiful house built by Christopher Wren. The special thing about this house is that it is the only house still standing on its block after the bombing attacks on London from September 1940 to May 1941. This house represents Trevor s old upper class lifestyle. This is why Trevor is so driven to destroy it. The destruction has nothing to do with popularity for their gang. Trevor wants to get rid of all ties to his old way of living that he feels has betrayed him. It is seen in this quote when he calls the house beautiful, T. said, It s a beautiful house, (114). In the preceding quote we see Trevor use the word beautiful , and this is a definitely not a word used by the Wormsley Common Gang. As seen in this in this part of the story when Greene gives insight on Blackie s thoughts, It was the word beautiful that worried him that belonged to a class world that you could still see parodied at the Wormsley Common Empire (115). This house being called beautiful is unfamiliar to the gang and this house represents the upper class society that the gang often makes fun of. This house also represents Trevor in a particular way as a beautiful and noble thing that has been broken and ripped apart from the inside out. When Trevor moves from the upper class society, he becomes much like this house after the destruction broken and useless. Greene makes the symbolic connection clear: he looked round the room crowded with the unfamiliar shadows of half things, broken things, former things (119). One of the broken things in the room is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Roman Emperor Trajan Research Paper Trajan is considered by many historians as one of the greatest Roman emperors. He conquered Parthia and Dacia, expanding Rome s borders. He was also the first non Roman emperor in Rome s history. Trajan was born in Italica, Baetica (modern day Spain) on September 15th, 53 CE, and he died on either August 8th or August 9th, 117 CE in Selinus, Cilicia (modern day Turkey). Trajan started his career as a legionary staff tribune in Syria, where his father was governor. After that, he became a praetor, which qualified him for command of a legion in Spain in 89 CE. One day, he was ordered to march his troops to Rome to help a revolt against emperor Domitian, but the revolt was suppressed by the time he arrived. In 91 CE, Domitian allowed him ... Trajan s Forum contains a four story, open air shopping mall, the Basilica Ulpia, where laws and government matters were handled, and Trajan s Column. Trajan s Forum was a huge architectural achievement because slaves and workers cut two hemicycles into the Capitoline and Quirinal hills. In the holes, warehouses and shops were built, and many streets were formed (Hammond). Another example of Trajan building public buildings is Trajan s Column. Trajan s Column is an 126 feet tall Column that depicts the invasion and conquering of Dacia. There are thousands of figures telling the story of the Dacian War. The figures are fighting, sailing, building, and negotiating in all of the intricate scenes (Curry). In 117, when Trajan died, his ashes were transported to Rome and he was buried under the column (Hammond). Another example of Trajan building public buildings is Trajan s Market. The races consist of sprinters, middle distance, and distance runners. The races can range from 100 meters all the way up to 10,000 meters. All of these runners have different jobs and roles on their teams. A great deal of precise and dedicated training goes into their workouts. Despite the distance they run, track runners are extremely hard workers. One type of runner in track is the sprinter. The original Olympic event know as the stadion race, was a sprint of around 180 meters. Now there are generally three different sprint distances. These consists of the 100 meter, 200 meter, and the 400 meter dash. Most elite level sprinters train about 20 hours a week for races that are just seconds long. This essay will make reference to Piaget s Theory of Cognitive Development and Vygotsky s Social Constructivism Theory. Both theories have an immense influence on practice and educational theory today. Jean Piaget studied how children make sense of their thoughts and actions in order to make sense of their experience. Piaget developed the four stages of Cognitive Development (Campbell, 2006, p. 5). Piaget states people should adapt to their environment. He described two processes for Adaptation ( Process of creating a good fit between one s conception of reality and one s experiences ), firstly Assimilation and secondly, Accommodation (Murtagh, Lecture 2, 2017). • 14. Cry, The Beloved Country, By Alan Paton In South Africa, the plight of apartheid tore apart communities, families, and individuals. It was a social concern that came under increasing attack and response as apartheid reached its zenith in the middle of the 20th century. It was not unlike segregation and the Jim Crow mentality that prevailed in the United States; with its ancient roots and adverse effects. Indeed, one is curiously reminded of Harper Lee s well known novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, and its role in trying to formulate an escape from that system. An escape with various routes, but an escape that interestingly calls back to the nature of innocence and child like questions. It is in this way that Alan Paton s enduring novel, Cry, The Beloved Country, takes on a unique and refreshing approach to a basic question: that of the equality and dignity of all people. Throughout Cry, The Beloved Country, Paton exudes frequent references to childhood, a devout religiosity, and of course, a return to simple questions; all of which contribute the idea of innocence and a certain naiveté that contribute significantly to Paton s message. Extended and found in abundance, the warmth and almost reassurance of children provides a foundation and almost stronghold throughout the novel. After the Greeks had won, there were plots of land abandoned by the Turks. The Greek government eventually gave each peasant family and veteran 20 acres of the confiscated land too small for prosperity, but enough to show that they believed that each Greek could be self sustainable. Next, with one part of the population of Greeks independent, they needed to figure out what their relationship was with all of the Greek nation. In response, they made a policy in which all Greeks were unified. Onto the long term effects, the revolt is a crucial in Ottoman history because it started a wave of rebellions against them eventually leading to their demise and the creation of new Mediterranean states. The Greek revolution was in no way the first rebellion against the Ottoman Empire, but it was the first successful one with foreign involvement. The Ottoman empire was made up of a variety of people of different races and beliefs. After the Greek success, the remaining people and Greeks in the Ottoman empire were inspired to make their own stand for independence and many would succeed. Not only was the revolution important to Ottoman history, but it was obviously important to the Greek s history as well. When King Otto was on the throne, it was almost as if nothing had changed. He imposed the same high taxes just as the Ottoman Empire (maybe even higher) and ruled as an absolute monarch. Based off the revolution, the chance that the Greeks would keep still was close to none. They revolted in 1843 and forced him to sign a new Constitution and instituted a constitutional monarchy. He reported that individuals that lived in high crime rate areas were more likely to act violently than those who lived in low crime areas. Since aggression is a prominent feature of many shows, children who have a high amount of exposure to the media may show a high degree of hostility themselves in imitation of the aggression they have witnessed. Bandura carried out a study on aggressive behaviour towards the Bobo doll. In the first stage of the study, children who had observed an adult model attack a Bobo doll were divided into three groups. Group 1 went straight into the playroom; Group 2 saw the model being rewarded for their aggression against the doll, while group 3 saw the adult model punished. • 26. Analysis Of Les Demoiselles DAvignon Les Demoiselles d Avignon Abstract expressionism Jackson Pollock Yif Chen Oct. 10th Les Demoiselles d Avignon is probably the most representative painting that transits Picasso to cubism. It is a radical break from the conventional representation that for so long has been accepted in western culture because Picasso directly brings concepts like sexuality, female nude bodies, and sexually transmitted diseases to form a palpable three dimensional fractured space. Picasso depicts the opposition of pleasure, which is sensual eroticism with sarcasm in a brothel located on a street named Avignon, takes women outward to audiences and engages with viewers. This painting is an untraditional and bold confrontation with the conventional art, thus, revolutionizing the entire art world. In this eye catching depiction, five prostitutes with five different shocking positions cover all over the canvas. With different elements, like the African mask, disproportional gesture, and Iberian sculpture, complexity and contraction are vividly portrayed in this painting. Making use of aggressively nude bodies, Picasso boldly pulls exaggerated and distorted expression into the canvass, and forms a sense of flatness by directing an interior, closed, and almost claustrophobic space, because every prostitute is almost near the edge of canvass, but at the same time, is perfectly enclosed by the space. Therefore, a hero is a person who is believed by others to possess powers, strengths, special achievements or personal qualities which the ordinary man does not have or someone who is a role model. However, as much as heroes are people who others praise for certain reasons, they equally possess evident setbacks depending on the different varied views of individuals. It is, therefore, clear that heroes possess certain qualities which can be viewed positively or negatively depending on the various individual differences. One of the pros of heroes is the ability to serve as role models and mentors. The outstanding qualities of heroes include selflessness, patience, bravery, humility, kindness, and perseverance. Heroes are people who put others lives first before them. Also, heroes are individuals who sacrifice themselves to support others to get out of stressful situations despite the hardships they may undergo. In some cases, heroes sacrifice their lives at the expense of those whom they serve. For instance, soldiers risk their lives to defend their country from terrorism. Equally, firefighters take courage to rescue lives from massive fires. Heroes, therefore, are risk takers, brave and capable of leading others to resolve crises globally or at the personal level. It does not mean that by doing such deeds heroes don t value their lives, but they value humanity more. Heroes save lives. They dedicate their careers to help the poor and the underprivileged. They labor to end social injustice and toil to come up with new medical discoveries. Heroes spend a part of or most of their time in doing charity work. For instance, providing food for the hungry, visiting the sick and providing free medication is the work of heroes who serve without reward. Also, those who discover certain medicines that heal diseases are heroes serving in that capacity. Researchers in the medical field spend most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Realizing this status of inequality in society at a young age is a motive for Victor and the son to attempt to conform to these unreasonable standards set forth by people s expectations. • 31. Art in War Art in War A pioneer of artistic influence in American culture, Frederick Childe Hassam led the revolution of art in the World War I era. In the midst of a world crisis, Hassam became a trailblazer of his own technique; he promoted a new form of Impressionism that not only reinforced the subtlety and free flow style of French Impressionism, but also reinforced the vivacity and tenacity that he wanted to express. Amalgamating the techniques of French Impressionism with the nationalistic values of the American art and culture, Hassam promulgated what was eventually known as American Impressionism. However, throughout this assembly process , Hassam never forgot his goal: to vividly capture the patriotism that the American, British, and French people all shared in a time of upheaval, and use it to unite them. He displayed the newfound and unlikely alliance between the Allied powers through his art, and in doing so, progressively strengthened the alliance between France, Great Britain, and the United States. In Europe and the United States, the American Impressionists witnessed the transformation from an agrarian to an industrialized urban society, especially over the course of time leading up to the war. Hassam was simultaneously excited by change and nostalgic for the reassuring and familiar past. Unlike many painters, Hassam did not spend a lifetime in pursuit of his art with little critical, social or financial recognition. He was a tremendously talented painter who ... Some countries are more successful than others at solving this problem through social programs. Social programs aimed at providing children with proper nutrition and psycho social stimulation should be a social and political priority. Introduction Finance is all about the proper allocation of capital. Nations can sometimes make investments that private firms cannot because the capital expenditures are just too vast. A few successful public investments that come to mind are the interstate system and NASA. However, it could be argued that people are our most valuable assets. We invest in our own people through our various education systems, healthcare systems, along with other social programs. If we realize that proper investments can be made into improving the quality of life of all people one would soon come across the idea that our children are of the upmost priority. In particular, ensuring that all children have access to adequate nutrition, enriching educational environments, and a loving social unit proves to be one of the wisest investments that a nation can make. The current risks to our children and solutions for how we can invest in our children s well being and development will be analyzed. A case will be made on why a shift in Western perspective is practical when approaching an implementation of social programs. Risks Child malnutrition poses a myriad of ... • 34. Attachment Theory, Biological Influences The issue of attachment is one that influences an individual throughout their life, affecting many aspects of their development. It is first formed during infancy between the child and their primary care giver and is maintained over the course of their lifespan. The level of attachment that is formed during infancy creates a foundation for psychological development in the course of the individual s life (Santrock, 2013). Attachment security can be an indication of the quality of an individual s future relationships, as well as challenges that may arise from such interactions. The following will discuss the attachment theory, biological influences of attachment, factors that contribute to the type of attachment formed during infancy and early childhood, and its impact and complications throughout each stage of development from infancy through late adulthood. Attachment Theory Bolwby s attachment theory suggests that infants come into the world biologically pre programmed to form attachments with others in order to survive. He believed that most behaviors associated with attachment are instinctive and are active during conditions or situations that are threatening. The attachment theory attributes an infant s fear of strangers to a natural survival mechanism; their crying helps ensure their caregivers awareness and proximity to them. An infant s behaviors, such as crying, smiling, or crawling, are meant to stimulate caregiving in adults. Attachment is determined by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the most prominent is the stunning realism in both pieces. Despite there being hundreds of figures is both pieces each is extremely realistic. There s a huge stress on the human figure in this painting and they look as though they could be real people. There s also a fair amount of perspective, although this isn t one of the most important parts of the paintings. Another interesting motif is the international influence in the paintings. Even though the paintings have extremely Catholic origins they have some elements of other cultures. One of the biggest ways this is shown is in the sibyls that are between some of the scenes. These sibyls have origins from Africa, Asia, Greece, and Ionia. These paintings also show departure from traditional Catholic values in some of the symbolism the paintings show. Arno, Dowling and Schuerger (2016) report that high reliability and low maintenance costs are common targets for all maintenance programs. A carefully designed preventative maintenance can reduce maintenance costs through the prevention of degradation failure through preemptive intervention. Corrective maintenance is required when a failure occurs and it is often more expensive than a preventative maintenance. Preventative maintenance is implemented to decrease the probability of some particular expected failures and therefore decrease the overall maintenance cost. 2.5.1 Preventive Maintenance Medical equipment is usually expensive and require high mechanical precision, especially for the equipment that produce devices that install in patients body. Fennigkoh and Smith (1989) indicate that medical equipment needs constant maintenance to make sure that it can perform required high requirements, which makes preventive maintenance very important in medical industry. The Impact Of Franz Ferdinand s Assassination On World War I In 1914 Gavrilo Princip, a member of the Serbian Black Hand, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro Hungarian Empire, instigating an immediate cause of World War I. As the third largest European power by area, the Empire was a powerful presence leading up to World War I, with a population of over fifty million people and an army of 400,000 soldiers. The conflicts among European powers and the disorder in the Balkans in the 19th and 20th centuries led to a situation in which Franz Ferdinand s assassination proved to be the tipping point in the fragile relationship between Austria Hungary and the South Slav nationalities that threatened the Empire both internally and externally. His death caused a costly war in terms of both lives and the economy in the South Slav region and further undermined the stability of Serbia. Princip assassinated the heir to the throne in an attempt to spark a revolution that would result in Slavic independence from Austria Hungary. A Survey Of The New Testament A Survey of the New Testament The New Testament is defined as part of the Bible concerned with the life and teachings of Christ and his earliest followers (American Century Dictionary 387). The Son of God comes to Earth to save us from our sins and to teach us a new way of serving the Lord. Animal sacrifice is done away with because Jesus died for our sins as a perfect sacrifice and his sacrifice is everlasting. Jesus explained, for God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved (John 3.17). This collection consists of twenty seven books, in which I will break down into five sections. First are the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the book of Acts, which is commonly classified as a book of history. Next are the epistles of Paul which are the book of Romans through Philemon, the general epistles of Hebrews through Jude, and the prophecy book of Revelation. 1. The Gospels The book of Matthew provides a detailed account of the life of Jesus and establishes that Jesus Christ is the Messiah who fulfills the Old Testament prophesies (Wiersbe 627). The author Matthew is primarily aiming his writings at the Jews to let them know that he is the savior who is referred to several times in the Old Testament (Isiah 7:14, 53:5, 53:12).
