For three days I tracked all of my meals, snacks and fluid intake on the SuperTracker website. The
purpose of this was to determine and understand what I was eating and how what I put into my body
directly effects it. Too little or too much of certain nutrients can be harmful over time and the
SuperTracker helped to determine which nutrients I needed less or more of. Also, it provided me with
some insight on how I can change my eating habits to provide my body with the nourishment that it
needs. There were similarities amongst my daily food group targets for all three days. My
consumption of grains was below the target for two of the three days, along with my dairy intake.
Also, I did not have fruit of any kind during that time period. Nevertheless, my ingestion of vegetables
and proteins were continuously above the recommended target amount.
Upon analyzing my nutrient report I noticed that I had taken in more macronutrients than the
recommended target amount. The average amount of protein that I ate was seventy seven grams while
the daily target was only forty six grams. The average amount of carbohydrates was 145 grams with
the target being only 130 grams. While I had exceeded the quantity of protein and carbohydrates, my
status is still considered okay . Thirty eight percent of my calories came from total fat, with the target
amount only being twenty to thirty five percent therefore causing me to be over in the status amount.
Consequently, my consumption of micronutrients consistently fell below the targeted daily amount. I
only averaged 463 milligrams of calcium per day; 537 milligrams less than target. Long term calcium
deficiency can have serious health consequences such as causing osteopenia and increasing the risks
of osteoporosis and bone fractures (Calcium, 2016, para 14). The amount of potassium in my diet was
also below target at 2734 milligrams. Muscle weakness, abnormal heart rhythms and a rise in blood
pressure can all result from insufficient amounts of potassium (Potassium, 2017, p. 1). I only took in

America faced an underlying conflict to find their purpose and true meaning in life. Is this all? was

Magazine became a great relief to all feminists by giving them a sense of self determination and hope
for the women s movement. Feminist women rarely spoke to each other about their feelings of
subjection and loneliness. These emotions led them to feeling ashamed of themselves due to the
idealistic image of feminists that society felt was so appropriate. She was so ashamed to admit her
dissatisfaction that she never knew how many other women shared it. A huge social advancement and
rather large step towards understanding feminist women at this time was the formation of rap groups.
They are the heart and soul of the Women s Movement. Rap groups were organized and structured
meetings that allowed women to openly engage in one another s thoughts, feelings, and concerns
without the input of men or the rest of society. The rap groups have become mechanisms for social
change in and of themselves. These social groups let women know they were not alone and gave them
hope to believe in women s liberation. Rap groups helped to unify feminist women all over America
and brought them together in a structured interaction. Talking to other women, we came to realize our
oppression by understanding the nature of our upbringing and of our lives as, women. Discussion of
past feelings and experiences led to plans of new reforms and steps to achieving full social equality.

This will also encourage players to not use steroids or any other drug in general in order to keep up
with other players. When taking drugs it is always risky because of the fact that the consumer will
most likely consume more than the prescribed amount. The use of drugs gives an dishonest turn to the
game which later doesn t have any point to it because of the fact that the drug consumer is not playing
with their own talent, but with the effects that the drug is giving them. Drug testing athletes would not
only show true talent, but also prevent health risks occurring to any of the players. With athletes not
being tested, we will never know who is at risk. Drug testing should not be seen as getting caught it
should be seen as a learning experience. Drug consumers can be educated on the risks that drugs have
not only their health but their performance out on the field as well. Athletes on drugs are athletes who
run the risk of getting seriously hurt, or hurting others. Also, participation in such sports is voluntary.
Anyone who wishes not to be drug tested would have the option of not participating in them. The
benefits of athletes getting drug tested are obvious: It would make a decrease in drug use among

For my second practicum, I wrote two lesson plans because I wanted to allow my student to choose
what book he wanted to read. I planned a shared reading lesson over The Story of Henny Penny by
Richard Carson and an interactive reading lesson over I Think I Forgot by Mercer Mayer.
Planning for two different books was not difficult, but I had to keep in mind that my student was only
going to have the opportunity to read one of the books, and in the end, my student chose to read The
Story of Henny Penny. For this shared reading lesson, I followed the steps for a shared reading by Gail

If I had more time or saw my student more frequently, I would make sure to include these steps during
a shared reading lesson.
After I planned the shared reading portion of the lesson, I planned a short writing activity where my
student would have the opportunity to write down the three main events from the story.

picture walk, my student showed a deep interest in trying to read the book out loud on his own, and I
made the decision to let my student give the book a try. Since this book was a level above what my

My student read the entire book on his own with minimal error! This slight change in my lesson plan
meant that I was no longer teaching a shared reading lesson, but rather a guided reading lesson. After
my student finished reading, we proceeded with the lesson I had planned. We discussed the story, what
happened, what plot was, and then the plot of this story. Then he used the story cards to retell the
story. I labeled clothes pins with numbers one through six and had them on a piece of yarn to
symbolize that the events on the card happened in order to form a whole story. After that we moved on
