Mr. Clarkson Case Summary
8. a. Do you agree with Mr. Clarkson s estimate of loan requirements?
No the loan requirement stated by Mr Clarkson will not suffice for a long time. Mr Clarkson
needs to get debt at a cheaper rate or reduce his cash conversion cycle to be able to effective pay
the interest on debt while sustaining growth.
b. As Mr. Clarkson s advisor, would you urge him to go ahead with, or to reconsider, plans for sales
expansion and additional debt financing?
The additional debt financing is a necessity for Mr. Clarkson to ensure he meets the payment to
Mr. Holtz and the increase in accounts payable. Sales Expansion is also needed to cover the
increased in interest on debt but not greater than the SGR as such growth will lead to increasing

Sole Proprietorship as the name suggests is a one person owned firm, who is personally
responsible for the whole debt, challenges and actions for the firm. It has its own share of
challenges when it comes to financial statements and reporting needs.

required by corporations. It can lead to a weak financial control.

Pedagogic Design And Second Language Acquisition
The Effectiveness of the Pedagogic Design and the Implementation of Computer Assisted Language
Learning in relation to Second Language Acquisition
Second Language Acquisition or SLA is a term used to describe learning a second language. There
are a number of ways in which one can learn a second language, and in this essay I am going to
discuss the links and relationship between second language acquisition and computer assisted
language learning, with particular focus on the pedagogical aspects. The most obvious approach to
learning a second language is undoubtedly through the Pedagogic Design, or learning from a
teacher in a structured classroom environment. Computer Assisted Language Learning is another
commonly used resource for language learning, and this is regularly referred to as CALL. The ...

It originates from the general learning theory of Constructionism. It is a very learner centred
method in Second Language Acquisition. Basically, the student s previous knowledge is expanded
on and mentally constructed into new knowledge. The creative construction theory is often referred
to as the Naturalistic Approach to second language acquisition. This theory complements that of
Noam Chomsky, an American linguist and language theorist who believes that children are born
with an inherited ability to learn any human language. He claims that many constructions in
language, which children use so precisely, must be already imprinted on the child s mind.
Chomsky believes that every child s brain has a language acquisition device , which is the reason
that children acquire their first language so effortlessly. Second language acquisition in relation to
the creative construction theory is an entirely internal process and unlike other SLA theories, it is
not necessary that the learner speaks or

Discuss the influence that Issey Miyake s Japanese heritage had on his designs.
1971 Miyake s intentions where To discover the traditional beauty of a Japan which is disappearing;
to emphasise the importance of industrially produced clothes by using synthetic materials; to
demonstrate the secret beauty of Japanese women. I am striving to create clothes which give
paramount importance to the movement of the body. Rather than fashion that one puts on, I want
to produce fashion that one takes off...for that is where the beauty of man s primitive spirit is

224). Jouve (1997) suggests that Miyake s approach differs to Western design arguing that he sees
the body as a reed, a neutral flexible thing, in the tradition of the kimono. Yet Miyake suggests that
the oversized and sculptural shapes have more to do with accessibility and the experience of the
wearer: I want women to be able to wear my clothing in the kitchen, when they re pregnant...My
clothes are for the young, the old, the short, the tall. They re ageless you see? (Frankel, 2001, p.48)
Miyake basic philosophy can be traced to the traditions of the kimono and, Samurais, paper arts,
the tea ceremony and Buddhist concepts. The kimonos simple construction makes it accessible to
very social strata of Japan. Despite being boxy, it drapes the body loosely with plenty of space
between the body and cloth, allowing freedom of movement with simplicity of cut. While
traditional Japanese clothes have been made of natural fibres such as cotton, silk and paper,
Miyake places emphasis on the ancient interest and import of industrially produced clothes with
synthetic materials. He sees technology as a way to revive rather than replace tradition and
craftsmanship. He comments that the joint power of technology and manual work enables us to
revive the warmth of the human hand, in other words, to come close to the value inherent in
artisanal work (Sato, 1998, p. 55). By doing this he harnesses

Evolution Of Evolution Through Birds
Evolution Through Birds
Research on the origination of organismal life dates back to seventeenth century. In present day,
scientists are still discovering new concepts on the topic of evolution and adaptation on the
molecular level of science. Modern research topics have gone deeper into the molecular field to
better understand the evolution that took place within a species. Evolutionary biologists have begun
to research the genetic architecture of evolutionary adaptation and speciation.
Researchers seek to find answers to questions such as how large is the effect of specific genes and
what sort of changes result from certain genes. Birds have been an organism that researchers focus
on to understand key components in evolution because of their close relation to many different
species of animals.
Darwin s Finches
Charles Darwin began this revolutionary research by studying a group of finches on the
Galapagos Islands. His interest in the similarity between different species of finches led to the
understanding of evolution that scientists use as basis for modern day research. The beaks of
birds were Darwin s main focal point and continue to be the aspect that reveals most about
evolution and adaption. The reason for beaks importance in the evolution of birds is because of the
correlation between beak size and diet and survival, a relationship that Darwin discovered.
The morphology of these finches beaks was affected by the environment and what food supply

Scaffolding Research Paper
A current advancement in food science is the development of certified cultured beef. Certified
cultured beef is consumable beef that is biologically cultured in a laboratory. To create this beef,
there are two methods used: scaffolding and self organizing, also known as the in vitro method.
Both the scaffolding and the in vitro methods use tools to extract parts of an animal s skeletal
muscle to build the meat; however, the muscle parts grow differently and the developed meats vary
in size.
The scaffolding method requires that scientists extract satellite cells, called myoblasts, from the
animal to grow in the petri dish. Myoblasts, which are the smallest unit of an animal muscle, then
grow into myofibrils and myotubes, which are the rods and

meeting s purpose was to establish the millage rate for the city and how to allocate those funds
into a set budget for the upcoming year. The new millage rate of 7.500 mills was approved for
the fiscal year of 2016 2017, which is an increase of 5.47% from last year, in addition to a new
budget for the upcoming year. 2.All of the city commissioners were present for the meeting, they
include: Todd Neville, Nancy Sikes Kline, Leanna Freeman, Mayor, Nancy Shaver, and Vice
Mayor, Roxanne Horvath. At the meeting just about every type of group was represented, city
residents of St. Augustine, business owners, special interested groups, in particular the Clean Up
the City of St. Augustine initiative represented by Ed Salvin, and even a local Neighborhood
Association represented by its president Susan Rathbone was present. Almost all of the individuals

Lord Of The Flies Femininity Analysis
Lord of the Flies is a novel written by the Nobel Prize winning author William Golding about a
group of schoolboy stuck on a deserted island, attempting to establish a well organized society but
fail. The story lacks a real female character. Hence, most critics pay no attention on this issue.
Nevertheless, the issue of femininityis implicitly presented in the story; malecharacters are rejecting
the femininity. For example, in the protagonist Ralph s memory, he never read one of the books
standing on his shelf because that is the book about two girls (Golding 112). Also, when the boys
hair grow longer due to the long stay on the island, they refuse to tie the hair back since it would be
like girls (Golding 172). The novel embodies the confrontation between masculinityand femininity.
In light of this, this paper argues that by considering Piggy the representative of femininity, Lord of
the Flies illustrates how the exclusive nature of masculinity repudiates femininity, which causes the
final disintegration of the society on the island.
Lord of the Flies depicts the disintegration of the order and the collapse of the harmony mainly
embedded in the conflict between Ralph and Jack, the two competing leaders in the novel. The
story is set in the middle of the raging war, when a plane evacuating a group of schoolboys from
Britain is shot down on a deserted island. Two of the boys, Ralph and Piggy, discover a conch and
make use of it to assemble other boys. Piggy, who is the

The Origins Of English Colonization Of The New World
The origins of American English date back to the beginnings of the seventeenth century and the
first successful colonization of the New World. Although the first English explorers led by Walter
Raleigh had landed on the coast some three decades before, the attempts to establish a settlement
failed due to unexpected conflicts with Native Americans. Jamestown, the first English colony
named after James I was established in 1607. It was but one of many settlements that promptly
started to fill the coast and adjacent islands. In 1620, a ship called the Mayflower landed in
Plymouth, Massachusetts. Its passengers were Puritans, also known as the Pilgrim Fathers , seeking
to set up a colony purified (therefore Puritans) from the Church of England

designer and very prim and proper. What Hitchcock shows in this film is that men and women
will take drastic measures to change when seeking approval from a love interest. Lisa s initial

Lisa tells Jeffries about her wanting him to photograph fashion he shoots that idea down without a

Similarities Between Proctor And Gamble And Unilever
Proctor and Gamble vs. Unilever Over the past decades creating corporate social responsibility has
become very important to companies in order to compete in their industries. It has become obvious
to the public that corporations have so much power in society; so corporations efforts to improve
society has become a necessity to many consumers. Corporate social responsibilityis defined in our
textbook as, a business concern for society s welfare (Lamb, Hair, McDaniel 2017). When taking a
look at Proctor and Gamble and Unilever s goals to create stronger corporate social responsibilityin
society I have identified a few major similarities and differences. First we will talk about a few of
the similarities that have been identified in these company s plans. One similarityshared between
these company s plans is their focus on Gender inclusiveness. Unilever s goal is to empower 5
million women by 2020, while P G is also focusing on empowering women in many ways. One of
the ways is by promoting work for women within the firm, in India they claim to have 30% of
their plant workforce being women. Another similarity can be seen in their focus on enhancing
lives through out the world. A Forbes article about Unilever outlined that, the washing brand
Persil has helped 10m children get an education whilst cleaning bleach Domestos has helped 5m
people gain access to toilets (Feller 2016). P G has also shown is commitment to improving
lives by teaming up with Habitats for Humanity to provide shelter for low income families.
According to Habitats website, Nearly 2,000 P G employees have built, repaired or cleaned homes
with 12,000 families (Proctor and Gamble 2015). The last similarity that I have found is both
companies have set their goals for 2020 and have tracked their progress over the years. Unilever has
focused on its three main goals and have further divided these goals into 50 goals in order to track
their progress. P G has done a similar thing by creating sub goals within each of their four major
goals. Both company s track and reported yearly progress for each of these goals.
There are a few major differences between P G s and Unilever s plans. First off Unilever focus
more on differences the consumer of

Effects Of Pollution And Environmental Degradation
Pollution and Environmental Degradation are things that the large majority of humans
contributes to some small or large way on the daily. Whether it is our mode of transportation,
throwing a piece of trash on the ground, buying products made from trees, and to be perfectly
honest the concentration in which we live, by which I mean the proximity of the average
residents in which we reside. These all seem like regular everyday things that are just normal.
But in the past things like these were so beyond the norm that they would seem alien and
impossible. The first matter that I pointed out, our mode of transportation, differs from person to
person. There are those that have decided to either not use any fossil fuel burning vehicular
modes of transportation, such as walking and riding bikes; while others have decided to greatly
decrease their ecological footprint by using various forms of carpooling, whether it being literal
carpooling with friends or coworkers, or taking modes of mass transportation such as buses and
subways or underground railways. According to a survey 91% of people drive to work in their
personal vehicles; and 204 million personal vehicles are regularly used. And though not everyone
throws their trash directly on to the ground, and most that do don t do it completely intentionally. I
do have to say that a large amount of Americans do not take the time to make sure that their trash
and garbage is disposed of properly. Some do not invest in having both

prevent war. Its chief architect was President Woodrow Wilson of USA. However, upon its
creation the United States did not join. Throughout its years the league faced many problems and
struggled, however it managed to stay together for 20 years. During its existence some of the
main problems were the world wide economic depression and the desire of some countries to

Appointing temporary members of the council В· The budget of the league В· Other ideas put

Not only are citizens affected but also law enforcement. By having more people armed it could
make it more dangerous for the officer on a simple traffic violation, any person that was
permitted to have a gun can open fire on an officer and claim self defense. Although states with
more flexible gun laws have seen a drop in crime rate (Figure 1) according to pollingreport.com,
as of October, 2015, 58% of Americans (democrats and republicans) are pro gun, so changing or
making new gun laws will have huge impact on citizens and their way of living. Guns and
School There have been 45 shootings at schools so far this year; August 8 there was two shoot

control and the way guns are handled in a public, especially a school, or even be allowed outside
of the holders private property. Many students don t like the idea of open carry or concealed
carry, most students would feel uneasy and anxious at the thought of a professor or a student car
rying a weapon and being able to open fire at any moment. It is argued that if students and pro
fessors were allowed to carry a weapon on campus, in the event of a shooting, the shooter would
quickly be neutralized, saving many lives. This would however cause conflict with students who

How Did Andy Warhol Influence The Pop Art World
As a profound influence on the twentieth century pop art movement, Andy Warhol ascended to
become a cornerstone in the modern art world. After taking cues from society in the mid twentieth
century, as well as conversing with Muriel Latow, Warhol did what many artists strived to do but
failed. Andy also extracted many of his ideas from other artists and built on them. He put a culture
on canvas and revolutionized pop artfor a life time. The nineteen sixties, seventies, and eighties
were periods of self righteousness and discovery. With many new styles and beliefs arising during
those eras, Warhol s imagination would begin to produce ideas that were unheard of but

The death of very popular movie star Marilyn Monroe sparked Warhol s interest to expose the
realities of the pop culture. Monroe was a sex icon, fashion icon, as well as a cultural icon for
the nineteen fifties and sixties. The potent memory of the pathos and mystery of Marilyn s death
with the long lived speculation surrounding it elevated her to the greatest modern star status.
Warhol s paintings participated in the public consolidation (Copplestone 25). Andy exaggerated
the features of Marilyn Monroe that had made her beautiful (Bolton 19). Also, the popularity of
celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy and Elvis Presley soon began to sweep the nation (Wrbican).
Warhol saw these people as icons for the sixties and also saw them as an inspiration to what
would become his new art works. Despite how happy, pretty, or ideal the celebrities seemed on
television, they were disasters in reality and Warhol executed his exposure of these secrets through
pop art. After World War two had ended and the United States had entered the Vietnam War, the
theme of mortality became less shocking to the population than in the years prior. With the
acceptance of such things, Warhol decided to create a series of brutal artwork that would
exemplify the understanding of life and death. His series of death and disaster included paintings of
electric chairs, suicides, and car crashes (Wrbican). Warhol wanted

Bleeding In Red Blood Cells And Platelets
The second portion of blood is made from solid components, both formed and fragmented cells.
When bleeding occurs somewhere in the body, the solid components of the blood each have their
own unique responses as well. These components are Red Blood Cells (RBCs), White Blood Cells
(WBCs), and Platelets. RBCs are formed cells that hold the oxygen within the blood. These cells are
made of a hollow membrane that can hold oxygen and is flexible enough to squeeze through small
vessels like the capillaries. (Tortura 696). When blood loss is significant enough to disturb oxygen
transfer to cells, the body attempts to compensate by mass producing in the skeletal tissue (Red
Cross 159). Another formed cell is the WBCs or leukocytes that hold the primary function of
preventing infection in the blood stream.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
with wounds that have broken through the skin, WBCs will gather around the point of entry to
fight infection and prevent any further damage to systems (Tortura 699). However, in the case of
hemostasis, the most important contributors are the Platelets, cell fragments that are held together
with a membrane (702). As bleeding occurs, various chemicals and enzymes that are contained
within platelets activate, causing the cells to become sticky and encourage accumulation to one
another. This coagulation of platelets at the broken vessel s entry site will eventually form a solid
plug, resulting in effective clotting. . Clotting is essential to stop major bleeding of vessels

The inter workings of Congress have been studied extensively by Richard Fenno and David R.
Mayhew. Mayhew s study of Congress took place in Washington, while Richard Fenno conducted
his research by following politicians within their congressional district. Mayhew attributes three
primary goals to congressmen getting reelected, achieving influence within Congress and making

The Benefits Of Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is to the human body a general state of health and well being, and more
specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports or occupations.
Being fit doesn t mean being a champion in a particular discipline, or having muscles that pop out
from clothes... being fit means living healthy and accordingly being a happy person. Physical fitness
is generally achieved through a correct nutrition and a regular training activity. The benefits for
being fit are countless, not only the training and the healthy diet will help you to achieve a good
body, but it will also clean your mind and make you more happy and relaxed.

You obtain this energy from nutrients in the food that you eat mostly, carbohydrates, fats and
proteins.
Minerals and vitamins are other nutrients that are also important in your diet to help your body stay
healthy. It is important to find the right balance between these different nutrients to achieve
maximum health benefits. A balanced diet generally contains food from each of the following food
groups: starchy foods (such as: bread, rice, potatoes, pasta...), fruit and vegetables, milk and dairy
foods, protein foods; these include meat, fish, eggs and other non dairy sources of protein
(including nuts, tofu, beans, pulses, etc.).
Fatty and sugary foods are the fifth food group that you eat.
However, only a small amount of what you eat should be made up from fatty and sugary foods. In
addition to the
above, having plenty of fiber and water in your diet is also important for your health.
The reasons that bring a person to be physically fit are numerous, from the benefits that offer to
the physical body till the ones that reach the brain and improve the general status of a person s

Evaluation Of An Individual s History And Early Life Span...
Sampson Laub (1993) focus on how delinquency arises in specific life span phases. They examine
what they call the stages of life course. The examination of an individual s history and early life
gives rise to the reasons behind their engagement in delinquency. Furthermore, the theory explicitly
explains why some individuals are more prone to pursue the criminal life than others.
The phases of the life span include the onset, continuance, escalation/de escalation, and desistance.
The onset phase is the reasons why individuals start committing crime. Continuance involves the
reasons the crimes keep occurring. The escalation phase involved the reasons behind the crime
becoming more severe. The de escalation phase is the reason why the crimes diminish in severity or
frequency. Finally, the desistance phase explains why offenders ultimately stop committing the
crimes.
These stages of life course include young childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. The young
childhood stage is up to age 17, and includes adolescence. Any poor attachments created in this
stage give rise to the onset of delinquency. These poor attachments can emerge from their family or
in school. Common examples include parental neglect, a one parent household, and inconsistent
parental guidance and or supervision. In school, an individual may lack the ability to excel within
their peer groups, or may have a difficult time participating in extracurricular activities that take up
their time. Some will be

Japanese Feudalism Essay
European Feudalism and Japanese Feudalism are very similar when it comes to their government
system, which always begins with the highest rank to the lowest rank of both systems in their
governments. The highest rank in the Europeans Feudalism system is the king, and for the
Japanese, it s the emperor. The Europeans had one king who owned all power, provides money,
recruits the army on demand, and grants land by the lord. Japanese Feudalismis a little different for
their highest rank. The Japanese had one emperor who owns no political power, the actual ruler in
the Japanese system is called the shogun, or supreme military leader who is chosen by the emperor

History of capital gains
Because of its importance to wealthier and politically powerful people, capital gain tax has been
extremely controversial. These gains have been taxed from the beginning of the income tax, but the

there has been only two times when capital gain income was taxed same as ordinary income, once

What are the ethical and legal issues at stake in this scenario?
A: Karl has to deal with some ethical and possibly legal issues in the marketing of his game
Breakaway . It is an issue ethically simply because he himself has to find out it is suitable to
market a game that primarily gives its focus on nudity, violence, and gambling. When it comes to
legal issues, is it legal to market these things in foreign countries and on the Internet? This is what

society in America. Any time there is an opening in a shopping plaza a gambling place opens up.
To me that shouldn t be the case, because then it can have a lot of people come in and, a lot of
times lose money. It s a good idea and a great way to generate revenue for the company itself, but
bad for people who have a bad habit of gambling. Violence is getting worse as well. Today the
world is turning into a monkey see monkey do society. There a lot of causes of this such as, video
games being played, the things people see on TV or actually see in person. It s actually getting
more dangerous. With the media promoting more and more on what s happening in violence. And
no justice is being done about it; it s letting the young youth have permission towards exactly what

Is marketing sex, violence, and gambling acceptable in other countries if these things do not

A: Unfortanently yes it is. For example look at the continent of Europe. The have a red light

Strategic Planning Requires Hard Work And Dedication
Strategic planning requires hard work and dedication. Nothing can be effectively executed without
a plan of action in place.
Blankstein (2004) states that:
Addressing the core beliefs of an entire school community is a lengthy process. It is essential to be
sure to hold the line on behaviors and language that may conflict with organizational values and
mission. Without at least commitment to behavior that supports the school values and mission, the
fundamental aspect of any school values and mission that all students will learn will become
invalid (p. 115).
The Henderson County Public Schools in North Carolina strategic plan is a thirty seven page
instrument addressing five major goals with subset goal descriptors under each. Henderson County
School goals are: (1) Focus on every child; (2) Prepare students to be globally competitive in the

positive community relationships; and (5) Maintain safe, quality energy efficient facilities.

Strengths Of Strengths In Public Speaking
My first strength in public speaking is my organization and preparation skills. I think that I am
particularly skilled in creating and preparing a presentation that is straightforward and
informational. I know how to effectively organize my presentation in such a manner that will
appeal to my audience. In addition, I spend an ample amount of time preparing for my presentation.
However, there is definitely room for improvement. I need a bit more practice in trying to make my
presentations more concise. For example, I used to present to high school students on financial
literacy. Initially my presentations were too long, but as my presentations progressed they were
shorter while still retaining important information. I would like to hone this skillas much as I
possibly can.
My next strength in public speaking is my eye contact. I am able to face my audience and express
positive nonverbal communication by maintaining eye contact and giving my audience my
undivided attention. Interestingly enough, I feel that sometimes my eye contact can be too
excessive in the sense that I look around too much. I was told of this by one of my friends while I
did a presentation on the civil rights movement. I can strive to improve this strength by learning
how to hold eye contact longer with certain individuals as opposed to constantly looking around.
This may be a bit uncomfortable to me, but I intend to challenge myself to attempt it.
Another strength is my voice projection. I believe that I

Analysis Of Disney Pixar s The Incredibles
From the outside looking in, the Parr family is an average, middle class white family. Bob, the
father, is the breadwinner, working a 9 5 job insurance job, while his wife, Helen, stays at home
to take care of their three children. However, underneath their apparent nuclear family structure
lies a secret double life based on their former superhero alter egos. Their banned super powers
awaken when, in typical melodrama style, the city is in need of saving and the Parr familyare the
only ones who can do so. Disney Pixar s The Incrediblesuses a double life situation to
simultaneously enforce and obliterate genderroles within an apparent stereotypical family dynamic.
Bob Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible, represents a stereotypical working class father who
longs for the days in which he can express his masculinity again. Since his crime fighting,
superhero days are past him, he continues to struggle to assimilate to regular life, knowing that he
still possesses his super powers. In Advertising and the Construction of Violent White
Masculinity , Jackson Katz explains Bob s power hunger, stating, For working class males, who
have less access to more abstract forms of masculinity validating power (economic power,
workplace authority), the physical body and its potential for violence provide a concrete means of
achieving and asserting manhood (Katz 351). What Katz says is completely relevant to Bob s
struggle. Since he lacks authority in his workplace, his physical

The Help, By Kathryn Stockett
Originally a book written by Kathryn Stockett, The Help, was transformed into a film in 2011,
directed by Tate Taylor. Taking place in the early 1960s in Jackson, Mississippi, the perspective
of (mainly) two middle aged negro maids (Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson) were recorded in
hopes of setting truth free. Miss Eugenia ( Skeeter ) Phelan, hopeful to be a journalist, claimed
that black lives were not as pleasant as portrayed, therefore she desired to reveal the truth behind
their lives through a book of interviews. The film, The Help, while not going in depth is quite
historically accurate through the depiction of social classes, racial segregation, the Jim Crow laws,
and the Civil Rights Movement (dealing with racism, violence, and homicide).... Show more content

However when writing her novel, Ms. Phelan s superior communicates to her that she has three
weeks to complete it in hopes before the movement is terminated. While many would say that
the Civil Rights Movement was barely covered in the film, this section alone utters a thousand
words. When Eugenia Phelan s supervisor, Elaine Stein, conveys to Phelan to speed her novel
up, then she is implying that the movement could pass at any moment. Implying that rather
instead of a movement, it was just a temporary period of uprisings. While Elaine Stein had all the
best intentions in assisting the blacks by publishing the book, what she said can be implied as
what numerous whites were thinking. With the Civil Rights Movement came a lot of violence
and murder. Medgar Evers was a prominent leader within the movement until Byron Beckwith
assassinated him in 1963 (A Critical Review of the novel The Help). In the film when Evers dies,
the bus let all blacks off, and then takes the rest of the whites home. Aibileen Clark scurries home
frightened for her life, so much so that she slips and injures her knee. This goes to not only
demonstrate the historical accuracy of the Civil Rights Movement and the death of a very hopeful
leader, but it also portrays the inequality that blacks were

Breaking Toxic Relational Ties At The Years
Breaking Toxic Relational Ties
Over the years, the more I have worked in helping people, the more I see the need for toxic
relational ties to be addressed. Not only are people struggling with certain bondages and
strongholds, they also have deep relational ties with people, past and/or present that are keeping
them tied to specific areas of bondage.
NOTE: make sure nothing copied from online articles and/or Ransomed Heart
In order for freedom to . . . This is necessary for those where certain key areas of bondage have a
connection to a significant relationship in the person s life.
The Scriptures do not use the term relational tie (often called a soul tie), but the principles of
people being knit together and two becoming one flesh is taught in the Word. These relational ties
are intended to bind people together for good purposes, so that we become joint and knit together
in the purposes of God.
For example, in marriage, a relational tie binds a man and woman together in covenant marriage
for life. A relational tie bonds friends in covenant unity and it also ties groups together who link
arms for the sake of the Kingdom of God. At the same time, relational ties can also keep people
bound to the spiritual bondage that came about through a particular relationship. These relational
ties allow for a unity in the spirit realm for God or the demonic realm to manifest through our lives.
For example, relational ties between married couples draw them together like

Christian Science v Morman Essay
Introduction
With the advancements in the study of social sciences, there has been a somewhat parallel growth
of cults which though have their foundations in the original Bible and the Christian teachings, yet
one may observe that the majority of the present day cults not only deny the essential doctrines, they
openly emphasize and present their own personal reinterpretations of the biblical scriptures. The
following paper will present two such cases, those of Christian Science and the Mormons, and
strive to present some of the comparative elements, their beliefs, customs, religious ceremonies and
leadership aspects.

Christian Science The Customs
Some of the salient customs of the Christian Science include a daily prayer ritual which serves to
bring realization of God, and God s Love as well as assist others in experiencing the harmonizing
and healing effect of the primary understanding of the Christian Science. The cult also emphasizes
on the spiritual healing effect and gives more than a mere emphasis as compared to the medical
treatment of the ailing humanity. The cult has nor formal ministers, and instead the Bible, Science
and Health are its pastor and preacher.
With its headquarters in Boston, duly called the First Church of the Christ, Scientist, or The
Mother Church. It is assisted with a number of local churches, which serve as its branches. Run
under a Manual of the Mother Church, the Christian Science has a Board of Directors, which
governs the Church on a democratic system, and is duly assisted by its branches. (Slick, 2003;
Kramer, 2004; Meyer, 1961)
The Mormon Cult Leadership
Founded by Joseph Smith in 1830 in New York, the cult of the Mormons is yet another faith that
derives its teachings from Biblical scriptures. Though most, if not all the elements of this cult are
founded in the original Biblical texts, followers of the Christian belief due to some of the extreme
contradictions and deceptions in both the books of the Mormons as well as its teachings largely
oppose the faith. The cult has some 7 million members, out of 5 million are

Habits Of Highly Effective People By Stephen R. Covey
Summary of Main Points in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
This book on 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was written in 1989, is still a great book today.
Stephen R. Covey talked about great habits that we need to encrypt in our daily living to be
effective at work, home and as a person. He explained how the habits is based on developing our
independence. The first habit he talked about was being proactive in our lives. To be proactive
we need to have self awareness of our actions. We need to take responsibility for the choices we
make and take responsible for those choices.
Second habit is to begin with the end in mind. This is where you develop a vision of what you
want to become and our conscience will decide what values will guide you and everything that you
do should have an end.
Third habit is to put first things first. This is where we need to have discipline to our day so we
make sure that we focus on what is the most important to the least important. This is where our
will power will come into effect so we don t act on our desires or impulses.
Habit four is the win win thought process. To be successful you need to look at the problem
between you and the other party and approach it with a mutual solution. To do this it requires
understanding and being understood. This way everyone can be satisfied with the outcome of the
solution.
The fifth habit was, seek first to understand them to understood. One important skill that we need to
use is our listening

Pathogenesis, Prevalence, And Affected Individuals
SLE: Pathogenesis, prevalence, and affected individuals. In general, the term lupus is used to
describe a multi systemic inflammation that results from an abnormal immunological function. It
includes four main types: neonatal and pediatric lupus erythematosus (NLE); discoid lupus
erythematosus (DLE); drug induced lupus (DIL); and systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). The
latter is the most common type, and it is referred to simply as lupus . SLE is a complex rheumatic
disease of an autoimmune origin, with an unknown etiology and thus individuals at risk are unable
to prevent the disease s progression. Genetic, hormonal, environmental factors as well an
immunological abnormalities have been contributed to its pathogenesis. The most agreed upon
theory is that the diseases develop as a consequence of the formation and deposition of
autoantibodies and immune complexes in various organ systems, leading to eventual organ
damage. Studies focusing on SLE as a genetic diseases have shown that there is a genetic
predisposition within families. For example first degree relatives of patients with SLE are
significantly more likely to have the disease compared to the rest of population (Maidhof Hilas,
2012).Recent technological advances have led to breakthroughs in the identification of
susceptibility factors involved in SLE, among which DNA methylation alterations has shown great
potential. Incomplete concordance for SLE has been found in homozygotic twins, suggesting that

The first major success of this division was Seal Island, a nature film that won an Oscar in 1949.
Also in 1949, Disney formed a music company to create, produce and maintain control over the
music and songs featured in Disney productions but often performed by famous artists. Disney
later moved into live action features with Treasure Island in 1950. Disney continued to innovate
in the live action format by combining animation with live action in the film Mary Poppins. As
Disney s film library had grown, Disney brought distribution in house with the formation of
Buena Vista Distribution Co., in 1953. In films, Disney kept costs low by developing its own

while for live action features, Disney shied away from using well known and expensive talent.
Audiences were drawn because of the reputation Disney had established for providing quality,

Essay On Mark Whitarce
Summary of the story line
The movie is based on events that took place in the 1900 s where the vice president of the
company ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) Mark Whitarce took the role of being a FBI mole to
assist them with an investigation that could potentially bring the company down. He did this by
wearing a wire and taping meetings for three years to expose the price fixing scheme within the
company, this came about after his wife Ginger Whitarce had pressured him to speak to the FBI
agents of the case Brian Shepard and Robert Herndon about the unethical business operation, she
did this knowing that the agents would refer back to him if they had analyzed the phone records
which consists of information on the personal calls being made to ... Show more content on

It is essential to know that every single event that occurs within a business has an external impact
that can be social, economical, physically, etc. Good governance prevents businesses from
performing illegal operations that benefit them but have a negative impact in other aspects. Good
corporate governance also includes obeying the law, the two are not separated. In order for a
company to be fully governed in an appropriate manner, it needs to follow the law and make it a
norm to perform every action legally. Below are characteristics that best describe a business with

The Pros And Cons Of Customs Union
The reason I chose Customs Union as my topic is to learn more about how members or potential
members of a union establish an agreement that benefit all parties. I find it interesting that
members of a union are able to influence one another s economic growth, competition and how
they can complement one another as well. Having a common trade policy among a group of
members and removing all barriers of trade can play a significant role in the success of a
business. It saves a lot money, and could be a competitive advantage over competitors. Countries
of a union joining can also impact its position in a global market, as well as help the country
economically. The ability for a group of countries to come together and help each other is
fascinating, and is why I chose to explore this topic more.
EXPLANATION OF KEY TERM
The third stage of Economic Integration is Customs Union. According to the Encyclopaedia of
Britannica, Customs Union is a trade agreement by which a group of countries charges a common
set of tariffs to the rest of the world while granting free trade among themselves (Encyclopedia
Britannica, 2010). Customs Union is free trade zone with common external tariffs; which helps
increase economic efficiency and allows for signatories to establish political and cultural ties.
Tariff barriers make it difficult for some countries to sell products in a foreign country because of
the additional taxes on imported goods, which is a price advantage to members of a

Summary Of The Pact By PicoultThe Pact
Emily Gold was the typical 17 year old teenager who has always lived with her parents, Melaine
and Micheal, next door to Chris Harte, the perfect son and student athlete to James and Gus
Harte. Through this close proximity they became best friends. Emily and Chris started to date,
which made the parents happy, since they wanted nothing more than for the pair to end up
together. Emily was a striving art student with the ability to get into elite colleges due to years of
hard studying. Because of all of the people in her life that expected various sides of her, Emily
had this idea that she must be the perfect girlfriend, student, and daughter. With the suffocating
reality setting in, she realized that it was more than she could possibly handle, and so she
resorts to killing herself. To Emily, this was the only option on how to escape from the
overwhelming position she was trapped in. In her novel, The Pact, Picoult uses the theme of
expectations to demonstrate the drowning, catastrophic effects it can have on one s life by
forcefully causing a person to create an image of themselves that they can never become. Emily
and Chris grew up side by side their whole lives. Their parents always talked about the pair
getting married or being together in some way. It was simply a joke when the children were little
but after the two started to date, the possibility become reality. However, this is a reality Emily was
not sure she wanted. In the novel, the parents are shown making

Karl Marx and Marx Weber Essay
Karl Marx and Marx Weber The latter part of the nineteenth century was teeming with evolved
social and economical ideas. These views of the social structure of industrial society came about
through the development of ideals taken from past revolutions such as the Industrial Revolution
which steamed ahead paving the way for growing commerce, and widened the gap between the
classes. The development of a capitalist society was a very favorable goal in the eyes of the
bourgeoisie. But it had negative implications on was the working class and the proletarians who

Weber was elected to the Soviet where he met Kurt Eisner, its leader. Eisner was a creative and
innovative man who seemed to know what to do when no one else did. Weber considered him an
archetype of the charismatic leader and wrote his theories under his silhouette. Weber s primary
works include The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism.
Weber can be said to agree with Marx concerning the alienation of the individual in Industrial
Society. For Weber this centers around the rationalization of the West due to the spread of
bureaucracy. Weber s belief was that Industrial Societies inevitable trend was to more and more
rationalization. Thus he was certain bureaucracies were the most efficient and most rational known
means of exercising authority over human beings. Offices are ranked in a hierarchical order and
their operations are characterized by impersonal rules also appointments are made according to
specialized qualifications. Therefore bureaucracies were thought to be reliable, precise and stable.
Bureaucracies were also based on legitimate authority, in that it functioned either on the basis of
procedures that could be altered or through a system of rules and regulations. But Weberian
bureaucracies faced the problem of control and enforcing powers

Chromatography Essay
Chromatography is a separation technique in which the mixture to be separated is dissolved in a
solvent and the resulting solution, often called the mobile phase, is then passed through or over
another material, the stationary phase. The separation of the original mixture depends on how
strongly each component is attracted to the stationary phase. Substances that are attracted strongly
to the stationary phase will be retarded and not move alone with the mobile phase. Weakly attracted
substances will move more rapidly with the mobile phase.
Liquid chromatography is an analytical technique that is useful for separating ions or molecules
that are dissolved in a liquid phase. If the sample solution is in contact ... Show more content on

The compounds are separated by collecting aliquots of the column effluent as a function of time.
Conventional Liquid Chromatography is most commonly used in preparative scale work to purify
and isolate some components of a mixture. It s also used in ultra trace separations where small
disposable columns are used once and then discarded. Analytical separations of solutions for
detection or quantification typically use more sophisticated high pressure liquid chromatography
instruments.
In liquid chromatography, the separator is called the column and consists in most cases of a tube
filled with porous material called the stationary phase. A liquid, called the mobile phase, flows
through the tube between the particles of stationary phase material. A liquid sample is taken from
a mixture to be analyzed and introduced to a part of the system that is at elevated pressure. The
sample is then transported to a separator by the flow in the system.
After the column the separated compounds enter the detector, which measures a physical or
chemical property of each, now relatively pure, compound and creates a proportional electronic
signal. By calibrating with a standard mixture of known compounds, the nature of the compound in

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Demand Forecasts
Demand forecasting
Abstract:
1.Identify methods useful for predicting demand in various situations
2.Warn against methods that shouldn t be used
3.Guidelines and examples to improve efficiency of other organizations that don t use these
methods by adopting these forecasting practices.
It has been recorded that formal forecasts are prepared by firms because they have a written
marketing plan, the most popular among these firms is the sales forecast. A common mistake used
by people is that sales and demand acquire the same definition while in fact, demand and sales
equate only when sales aren t limited by supply. Sometimes it is appropriate to forecast demand
directly, while other times where uncertainty and changes are expected market ... Show more

But no research directly tests the forecasting ability of game theory.
5)Judgmental decomposition: (no feedback)
It involves dividing the forecasting problems into parts that are easier to forecast than the whole,
one approach is breaking it down into multiplicative components. It has a number of advantages as
it is used when there is much uncertainty about the aggregate forecast, when large numbers are
involved and it has proven to be more accurate than those of global approach.
6)Judgmental bootstrapping: (no feedback)
It is a type of expert system which can be useful for repetitive complex forecasting problems when
historical data on the variable to be forecasted are lacking or of poor quality. It is more accurate the
aided judgment.
7)Expert system: (no feedback)
It is designed to solve complex problems by reasoning about knowledge by rules experts use to
make predictions, these rules are created from protocols.
Expert system is aided by: expert opinion, conjoint analysis, bootstrapping.
The rules used are from experts and empirical research. This method is expensive and used when
many similar forecasts are derived from the system.

Concealed Handgun Will Reduce Crime
There is a growing crowd that believes having a law that allows individuals to carry a concealed
handgun will reduce crime because the criminal is less likely to attack someone if he has to
think twice whether that person is carrying a concealed handgun or not. The thought is that
concealed carry laws makes you safer in your everyday life because there is less of a chance of
being victimized. Although the statistics don t bear this fact, the loudest voice sometimes gets
the most attention and press coverage. New Hampshire s state motto is Live Free or Die.
Although the phrase came from a toast written by General John Stark, New Hampshire s most
famous soldier of the American Revolutionary War, the motto appears on the states license plates
and is commonly known among the locals to mean that everyone in the state carry s a concealed
handgun, and they would rather die than to give them up. The locals believe this is why their
crime rate is so low. However, being such a small state, with less urban areas and good economy,
concealed carry becomes more debatable. My goal in this paper is to show that concealed carry
laws don t reduce crime or make America safer. I will also talk about laws that have been enacted
all over the United States to allow gun enthusiast to carry, but the evidence doesn t support a
decrease in crime rates. To achieve this goal, I have researched several sources online, which I
have documented and have cited the sources at the end of my paper.

Mexico. He is working hard to increase his English proficiency while maintaining his full time
manufacturing job and meeting his family obligations. Jose s primary language goal is to improve
his conversational skills on the phone in hopes of securing a higher paying job. The objective of
this essay is to create a plan that meets Jose s requested goal of increased English language usage

most challenging and frustrating tasks because listening comprehension is more difficult on the

twenty first century. The best way to acquire the skill is by interactively modeling a real life phone
call using phrases such as, could you repeat that please, I need to confirm what you are saying,
please hold, etc. It is also important to practice listening to the rhythm and intonation of a caller s
voice. The distortions in digital recordings make voicemail messages very difficult to understand.
Fortunately, voicemail can be repeated numerous times until understood. Jose understands these
difficulties. He is highly motivated to learn as he uses the phone in both his personal and

that regardless of social status, deathis inevitable. cummings unique style of punctuation plays a

will be using laboratory dilutions, measurements, and weights to then calculate using algebraic

find the amount of moles of that substance in a solution. For example; in exercise 3 we were

the molecular weight of sugar (C = 12.01 grams/mol, H = 1.008 grams/mole, O = 15.00 grams

How To Repair Your Concrete Walkway So It s Safe And Attractive
The walkway to your front door should be kept in good condition so it doesn t ruin the appearance
of your home. Repairing cracks is important so no one trips and falls on your property. Falling on
concrete could break a bone or cause a head injury. You could even get sued for not maintaining
your walkway properly and creating a hazard. Here are a few tips for repairing cracks in your
concrete walkway and improving its appearance.
Fill In The Cracks
You can probably fill in small cracks yourself. Start by cleaning your walkway to get rid of sand
and dirt. Focus on getting debris and weeds out of all the cracks. You can buy concrete crack
filler in a squeeze container that s easy to use. Just squeeze the filler into the crack and scrape off
the excess, so the surface is level. Filling big cracks takes a little more work. To get the filler to
adhere properly, you ll need to widen the bottom of the crack. With the bottom wider than the top,
the filler will be trapped in place.
Use a pick and hammer to knock pieces of concrete loose from the bottom of the crack, being
careful not to make the top of the crack any wider. You may want to buy a bag... Show more

Call a concrete contractor to take a look and offer an opinion. Grinding the higher side of the
crack will make your walkway even again, and it is much less expensive than tearing out part of
the sidewalk and putting in new concrete. The contractor can grind away all raised portions of
your sidewalk so it is level and safe. The contractor can fill in the cracks and apply a coating on
the concrete to restore its appearance, or leave that job to you. Another time you may need to hire
a contractor is when your walkway has crumbling sides. Those need to be repaired by creating a
wooden frame along the walkway and then filling it in with

Pedagogic Design And Second Language Acquisition The Effectiveness of the Pedagogic Design and the Implementation of Computer Assisted Language Learning in relation to Second Language Acquisition Second Language Acquisition or SLA is a term used to describe learning a second language. There are a number of ways in which one can learn a second language, and in this essay I am going to discuss the links and relationship between second language acquisition and computer assisted language learning, with particular focus on the pedagogical aspects. The most obvious approach to learning a second language is undoubtedly through the Pedagogic Design, or learning from a teacher in a structured classroom environment. It originates from the general learning theory of Constructionism. It is a very learner centred method in Second Language Acquisition. Basically, the student s previous knowledge is expanded on and mentally constructed into new knowledge. The creative construction theory is often referred to as the Naturalistic Approach to second language acquisition. This theory complements that of Noam Chomsky, an American linguist and language theorist who believes that children are born with an inherited ability to learn any human language. He claims that many constructions in language, which children use so precisely, must be already imprinted on the child s mind. Chomsky believes that every child s brain has a language acquisition device , which is the reason that children acquire their first language so effortlessly. Second language acquisition in relation to the creative construction theory is an entirely internal process and unlike other SLA theories, it is not necessary that the learner speaks or ... Discuss the influence that Issey Miyake s Japanese heritage had on his designs. 1971 Miyake s intentions where To discover the traditional beauty of a Japan which is disappearing; to emphasise the importance of industrially produced clothes by using synthetic materials; to demonstrate the secret beauty of Japanese women. I am striving to create clothes which give paramount importance to the movement of the body. Jouve (1997) suggests that Miyake s approach differs to Western design arguing that he sees the body as a reed, a neutral flexible thing, in the tradition of the kimono. Yet Miyake suggests that the oversized and sculptural shapes have more to do with accessibility and the experience of the wearer: I want women to be able to wear my clothing in the kitchen, when they re pregnant...My clothes are for the young, the old, the short, the tall. They re ageless you see? (Frankel, 2001, p.48) Miyake basic philosophy can be traced to the traditions of the kimono and, Samurais, paper arts, the tea ceremony and Buddhist concepts. The kimonos simple construction makes it accessible to very social strata of Japan. Despite being boxy, it drapes the body loosely with plenty of space between the body and cloth, allowing freedom of movement with simplicity of cut. While traditional Japanese clothes have been made of natural fibres such as cotton, silk and paper, Miyake places emphasis on the ancient interest and import of industrially produced clothes with synthetic materials. He sees technology as a way to revive rather than replace tradition and craftsmanship. He comments that the joint power of technology and manual work enables us to revive the warmth of the human hand, in other words, to come close to the value inherent in artisanal work (Sato, 1998, p. 55). • 8. Evolution Of Evolution Through Birds Evolution Through Birds Research on the origination of organismal life dates back to seventeenth century. In present day, scientists are still discovering new concepts on the topic of evolution and adaptation on the molecular level of science. Modern research topics have gone deeper into the molecular field to better understand the evolution that took place within a species. Evolutionary biologists have begun to research the genetic architecture of evolutionary adaptation and speciation. Researchers seek to find answers to questions such as how large is the effect of specific genes and what sort of changes result from certain genes. Birds have been an organism that researchers focus on to understand key components in evolution because of their close relation to many different species of animals. Darwin s Finches Charles Darwin began this revolutionary research by studying a group of finches on the Galapagos Islands. His interest in the similarity between different species of finches led to the understanding of evolution that scientists use as basis for modern day research. The beaks of birds were Darwin s main focal point and continue to be the aspect that reveals most about evolution and adaption. The reason for beaks importance in the evolution of birds is because of the correlation between beak size and diet and survival, a relationship that Darwin discovered. The morphology of these finches beaks was affected by the environment and what food supply Albert 2 was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Lord Of The Flies Femininity Analysis Lord of the Flies is a novel written by the Nobel Prize winning author William Golding about a group of schoolboy stuck on a deserted island, attempting to establish a well organized society but fail. The story lacks a real female character. Hence, most critics pay no attention on this issue. Nevertheless, the issue of femininityis implicitly presented in the story; malecharacters are rejecting the femininity. For example, in the protagonist Ralph s memory, he never read one of the books standing on his shelf because that is the book about two girls (Golding 112). Also, when the boys hair grow longer due to the long stay on the island, they refuse to tie the hair back since it would be like girls (Golding 172). The novel embodies the confrontation between masculinityand femininity. In light of this, this paper argues that by considering Piggy the representative of femininity, Lord of the Flies illustrates how the exclusive nature of masculinity repudiates femininity, which causes the final disintegration of the society on the island. Lord of the Flies depicts the disintegration of the order and the collapse of the harmony mainly embedded in the conflict between Ralph and Jack, the two competing leaders in the novel. The story is set in the middle of the raging war, when a plane evacuating a group of schoolboys from Britain is shot down on a deserted island. Two of the boys, Ralph and Piggy, discover a conch and make use of it to assemble other boys. Piggy, who is the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Similarities Between Proctor And Gamble And Unilever Proctor and Gamble vs. Unilever Over the past decades creating corporate social responsibility has become very important to companies in order to compete in their industries. It has become obvious to the public that corporations have so much power in society; so corporations efforts to improve society has become a necessity to many consumers. Corporate social responsibilityis defined in our textbook as, a business concern for society s welfare (Lamb, Hair, McDaniel 2017). When taking a look at Proctor and Gamble and Unilever s goals to create stronger corporate social responsibilityin society I have identified a few major similarities and differences. First we will talk about a few of the similarities that have been identified in these company s plans. One similarityshared between these company s plans is their focus on Gender inclusiveness. Unilever s goal is to empower 5 million women by 2020, while P G is also focusing on empowering women in many ways. One of the ways is by promoting work for women within the firm, in India they claim to have 30% of their plant workforce being women. Another similarity can be seen in their focus on enhancing lives through out the world. A Forbes article about Unilever outlined that, the washing brand Persil has helped 10m children get an education whilst cleaning bleach Domestos has helped 5m people gain access to toilets (Feller 2016). P G has also shown is commitment to improving lives by teaming up with Habitats for Humanity to provide shelter for low income families. According to Habitats website, Nearly 2,000 P G employees have built, repaired or cleaned homes with 12,000 families (Proctor and Gamble 2015). The last similarity that I have found is both companies have set their goals for 2020 and have tracked their progress over the years. Unilever has focused on its three main goals and have further divided these goals into 50 goals in order to track their progress. P G has done a similar thing by creating sub goals within each of their four major goals. Both company s track and reported yearly progress for each of these goals. There are a few major differences between P G s and Unilever s plans. First off Unilever focus more on differences the consumer of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Effects Of Pollution And Environmental Degradation Pollution and Environmental Degradation are things that the large majority of humans contributes to some small or large way on the daily. Whether it is our mode of transportation, throwing a piece of trash on the ground, buying products made from trees, and to be perfectly honest the concentration in which we live, by which I mean the proximity of the average residents in which we reside. These all seem like regular everyday things that are just normal. But in the past things like these were so beyond the norm that they would seem alien and impossible. The first matter that I pointed out, our mode of transportation, differs from person to person. There are those that have decided to either not use any fossil fuel burning vehicular modes of transportation, such as walking and riding bikes; while others have decided to greatly decrease their ecological footprint by using various forms of carpooling, whether it being literal carpooling with friends or coworkers, or taking modes of mass transportation such as buses and subways or underground railways. According to a survey 91% of people drive to work in their personal vehicles; and 204 million personal vehicles are regularly used. And though not everyone throws their trash directly on to the ground, and most that do don t do it completely intentionally. I do have to say that a large amount of Americans do not take the time to make sure that their trash and garbage is disposed of properly. Some do not invest in having both ... After taking cues from society in the mid twentieth century, as well as conversing with Muriel Latow, Warhol did what many artists strived to do but failed. Andy also extracted many of his ideas from other artists and built on them. He put a culture on canvas and revolutionized pop artfor a life time. The death of very popular movie star Marilyn Monroe sparked Warhol s interest to expose the realities of the pop culture. Monroe was a sex icon, fashion icon, as well as a cultural icon for the nineteen fifties and sixties. The potent memory of the pathos and mystery of Marilyn s death with the long lived speculation surrounding it elevated her to the greatest modern star status. Warhol s paintings participated in the public consolidation (Copplestone 25). Andy exaggerated the features of Marilyn Monroe that had made her beautiful (Bolton 19). Also, the popularity of celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy and Elvis Presley soon began to sweep the nation (Wrbican). • 20. Bleeding In Red Blood Cells And Platelets The second portion of blood is made from solid components, both formed and fragmented cells. When bleeding occurs somewhere in the body, the solid components of the blood each have their own unique responses as well. These components are Red Blood Cells (RBCs), White Blood Cells (WBCs), and Platelets. RBCs are formed cells that hold the oxygen within the blood. These cells are made of a hollow membrane that can hold oxygen and is flexible enough to squeeze through small vessels like the capillaries. (Tortura 696). When blood loss is significant enough to disturb oxygen transfer to cells, the body attempts to compensate by mass producing in the skeletal tissue (Red Cross 159). As bleeding occurs, various chemicals and enzymes that are contained within platelets activate, causing the cells to become sticky and encourage accumulation to one another. • 24. Evaluation Of An Individual s History And Early Life Span... Sampson Laub (1993) focus on how delinquency arises in specific life span phases. They examine what they call the stages of life course. The examination of an individual s history and early life gives rise to the reasons behind their engagement in delinquency. Furthermore, the theory explicitly explains why some individuals are more prone to pursue the criminal life than others. The phases of the life span include the onset, continuance, escalation/de escalation, and desistance. The onset phase is the reasons why individuals start committing crime. Continuance involves the reasons the crimes keep occurring. The escalation phase involved the reasons behind the crime becoming more severe. The de escalation phase is the reason why the crimes diminish in severity or frequency. Finally, the desistance phase explains why offenders ultimately stop committing the crimes. These stages of life course include young childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. The young childhood stage is up to age 17, and includes adolescence. Any poor attachments created in this stage give rise to the onset of delinquency. These poor attachments can emerge from their family or in school. Common examples include parental neglect, a one parent household, and inconsistent parental guidance and or supervision. In school, an individual may lack the ability to excel within their peer groups, or may have a difficult time participating in extracurricular activities that take up their time. Some will be ... Bob, the father, is the breadwinner, working a 9 5 job insurance job, while his wife, Helen, stays at home to take care of their three children. However, underneath their apparent nuclear family structure lies a secret double life based on their former superhero alter egos. Their banned super powers awaken when, in typical melodrama style, the city is in need of saving and the Parr familyare the only ones who can do so. When Eugenia Phelan s supervisor, Elaine Stein, conveys to Phelan to speed her novel up, then she is implying that the movement could pass at any moment. Implying that rather instead of a movement, it was just a temporary period of uprisings. While Elaine Stein had all the best intentions in assisting the blacks by publishing the book, what she said can be implied as what numerous whites were thinking. With the Civil Rights Movement came a lot of violence and murder. Medgar Evers was a prominent leader within the movement until Byron Beckwith assassinated him in 1963 (A Critical Review of the novel The Help). In the film when Evers dies, the bus let all blacks off, and then takes the rest of the whites home. Aibileen Clark scurries home frightened for her life, so much so that she slips and injures her knee. Breaking Toxic Relational Ties At The Years Breaking Toxic Relational Ties Over the years, the more I have worked in helping people, the more I see the need for toxic relational ties to be addressed. NOTE: make sure nothing copied from online articles and/or Ransomed Heart In order for freedom to . . . This is necessary for those where certain key areas of bondage have a connection to a significant relationship in the person s life. The Scriptures do not use the term relational tie (often called a soul tie), but the principles of people being knit together and two becoming one flesh is taught in the Word. These relational ties are intended to bind people together for good purposes, so that we become joint and knit together in the purposes of God. For example, in marriage, a relational tie binds a man and woman together in covenant marriage for life. A relational tie bonds friends in covenant unity and it also ties groups together who link arms for the sake of the Kingdom of God. At the same time, relational ties can also keep people bound to the spiritual bondage that came about through a particular relationship. These relational ties allow for a unity in the spirit realm for God or the demonic realm to manifest through our lives. For example, relational ties between married couples draw them together like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We need to take responsibility for the choices we make and take responsible for those choices. Second habit is to begin with the end in mind. This is where you develop a vision of what you want to become and our conscience will decide what values will guide you and everything that you do should have an end. Third habit is to put first things first. This is where we need to have discipline to our day so we make sure that we focus on what is the most important to the least important. This is where our will power will come into effect so we don t act on our desires or impulses. Habit four is the win win thought process. To be successful you need to look at the problem between you and the other party and approach it with a mutual solution. To do this it requires understanding and being understood. In general, the term lupus is used to describe a multi systemic inflammation that results from an abnormal immunological function. It includes four main types: neonatal and pediatric lupus erythematosus (NLE); discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE); drug induced lupus (DIL); and systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). The latter is the most common type, and it is referred to simply as lupus . SLE is a complex rheumatic disease of an autoimmune origin, with an unknown etiology and thus individuals at risk are unable to prevent the disease s progression. Genetic, hormonal, environmental factors as well an immunological abnormalities have been contributed to its pathogenesis. The most agreed upon theory is that the diseases develop as a consequence of the formation and deposition of autoantibodies and immune complexes in various organ systems, leading to eventual organ damage. Studies focusing on SLE as a genetic diseases have shown that there is a genetic predisposition within families. For example first degree relatives of patients with SLE are significantly more likely to have the disease compared to the rest of population (Maidhof Hilas, 2012).Recent technological advances have led to breakthroughs in the identification of susceptibility factors involved in SLE, among which DNA methylation alterations has shown great potential. I find it interesting that members of a union are able to influence one another s economic growth, competition and how they can complement one another as well. Having a common trade policy among a group of members and removing all barriers of trade can play a significant role in the success of a business. It saves a lot money, and could be a competitive advantage over competitors. Countries of a union joining can also impact its position in a global market, as well as help the country economically. The ability for a group of countries to come together and help each other is fascinating, and is why I chose to explore this topic more. Substances that are attracted strongly to the stationary phase will be retarded and not move alone with the mobile phase. Weakly attracted substances will move more rapidly with the mobile phase. Analytical separations of solutions for detection or quantification typically use more sophisticated high pressure liquid chromatography instruments. In liquid chromatography, the separator is called the column and consists in most cases of a tube filled with porous material called the stationary phase. A liquid, called the mobile phase, flows through the tube between the particles of stationary phase material. A liquid sample is taken from a mixture to be analyzed and introduced to a part of the system that is at elevated pressure. The sample is then transported to a separator by the flow in the system. Although the statistics don t bear this fact, the loudest voice sometimes gets the most attention and press coverage. New Hampshire s state motto is Live Free or Die. The locals believe this is why their crime rate is so low. However, being such a small state, with less urban areas and good economy, concealed carry becomes more debatable. Data Table 1: Length measurements.| Object| Length (cm)| Length (mm)| Length (m)| CD or DVD| 12cm| 120mm| . .12m| Key| 5.5cm| 55mm| 0.055m| Spoon| 15cm | 150mm| .15m| Fork| 18cm| 180mm| .18m| Lab 1 also teaches us the importance of molecular weight of a substance and how to use that to find the amount of moles of that substance in a solution. For example; in exercise 3 we were asked to weigh 8 grams of sugar and then calculate how many moles of sugar it really was. Using the molecular weight of sugar (C = 12.01 grams/mol, H = 1.008 grams/mole, O = 15.00 grams /mole). We were then able to use this molecular mass of the sugar that we then had to use to calculate and determine the molarity of the sugar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Concrete Bridge Research Paper How To Repair Your Concrete Walkway So It s Safe And Attractive The walkway to your front door should be kept in good condition so it doesn t ruin the appearance of your home. Repairing cracks is important so no one trips and falls on your property. Falling on concrete could break a bone or cause a head injury. You could even get sued for not maintaining your walkway properly and creating a hazard. Here are a few tips for repairing cracks in your concrete walkway and improving its appearance. Fill In The Cracks You can probably fill in small cracks yourself. Start by cleaning your walkway to get rid of sand and dirt. Focus on getting debris and weeds out of all the cracks. You can buy concrete crack filler in a squeeze container that s easy to use. Just squeeze the filler into the crack and scrape off the excess, so the surface is level. Filling big cracks takes a little more work. To get the filler to adhere properly, you ll need to widen the bottom of the crack. With the bottom wider than the top, the filler will be trapped in place. Use a pick and hammer to knock pieces of concrete loose from the bottom of the crack, being careful not to make the top of the crack any wider. You may want to buy a bag... The contractor can grind away all raised portions of your sidewalk so it is level and safe. The contractor can fill in the cracks and apply a coating on the concrete to restore its appearance, or leave that job to you.
