2. Dangers Of Environmental Pollution
For many years scientists, along with concerned patrons, have been contemplating climate change and
what dangers it presents to human kind. Climate change refers to the variation in normal weather
patterns caused due to pollution. Environmental pollution refers to the contamination of ecosystem
and the surrounding atmosphere by different forms of pollutants (Chemicals and energies)
(omcis.org). Environmental pollution and climate is becoming a more substantial concern worldwide
as the years go on. Numerous studies have been ran throughout the years showing statistical reasoning
behind the environmental changes. Environmentalists debate about what the leading cause is and what
we are able to do to stop such turmoil.
The threat of global climate change has been a cloud of smog, lingering for quite some time. Global
warming is the increase of earth s normal surface temperature due to impact of greenhouse gases
(omics.org). We are threatening our own kind with our reckless lifestyle towards our environment. As
the world urbanizes and industrializes, and as effects of climate change intensify, environmental crises
will increasingly devastate the lives, health, and livelihoods of people around the globe (Human
Rights Watch). We as human beings need oxygen released from trees in order to breathe. Nature, on
the other hand needs the carbon dioxide that we exhale. Keeping this cycle continuous is key to
survival for both variants. With the introduction of particulates,

4. Argumentative Essay On Chemtrails
Chemtrails Do you think Chemtrails are made of chemicals? Many scientists say they are just made of
water vapor and the real name is Contrails short for (condensation trails). Some say that they have
chemicals in it has it sprayed all over the clouds to get to the people. But all that is not true because I
have seen videos up close, pictures that s clear, scientist that experimenting and talking about it right
now. Chemtrails are not harmful. The U.S. wouldn t do thing like it. In theory, the scientist Phil Plait
says the clouds coming from jets they are really just a product of condensation of water vapor. In
newscientists.com, 77 scientists report that the results were surprising, 98.7% of scientists say that
there is no atmosphere programing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These videos show that the water vapor coming out of the jets are just water droplets crystalizing into
ice then goes into the clouds form as a cloud. As watch a YouTube video it shows that chemtrails are
starting as water vapor because there nothing coming out of it when you turn it on. As a theory, there
are no chemicals based on the videos. In these videos the chemtrails shows that there are no
chemicals. At last, I saw pictures that describes that there are no chemicals because the chemtrails don
t start as one. As I saw a picture up close when a jet is about to release the water vapor they are
forming in to clouds. It would probably take a lot longer for chemicals to form into a cloud. There are
so pictures that look the same it s just water vapor they don t hurt people. Also, they are all the way up
in the air they can t reach you. In conclusion, chemtrails are just water vapor forming into clouds, so
that the air would have more cover, Also, it s to control the weather from disaster, and the population
and our food supplies. These chemtrails help our community, they don t vandalism the country.
Chemtrails are a good thing. Because scientists are researching, pictures that describe it, and videos up

5. Case Analysis Of Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin: Summary of the Business An organization must identify its core competencies and
strategically align those competencies with its business objectives to achieve success. In fact, C.K.
Prahalad and Gary Hamel explained in the Harvard Business Review that the most powerful way for
an organization to prevail is for it to identify, cultivate, and exploit the core competencies that make
growth possible (2000). Lockheed Martin has thoroughly aligned its competencies, business
objectives, and key performance indicators, which has undoubtedly contributed to the corporation s
effectiveness. Core competencies are capabilities possessed by an organization that when applied to
create products and services, make a critical contribution to corporate competitiveness (Edgar
Lockwood, 2011). Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company. The corporation s
core competencies are the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of
advanced technology systems. By leveraging those competencies, Lockheed Martin delivers a broad

7. Essay On Latin American Culture
Although there is no singular factor to indicate why or how a nation becomes susceptible to vast labor
migrations, there are a number of social, political, cultural, and historical factors that clearly
contribute to its prevalence. Furthermore, factors abroad in Central America contributed to the
emigration of Latina Women to the America for work. In cohesion with the factors abroad, various
social and political factors promoted the migration to America, and made it a popular destination for
migrant women.
LATIN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE: Since Christopher Columbus s exploration to the
Americas, Latin America and North America, have vastly developed and each country now contributes
a unique identity to the global community. However, prior to independence for many Latin American
countries, their society, culture, and politics were direct products of Spanish imperialism. Racial
hierarchies began to form, consisting of White Europeans at the top and African Americans (brought
over by the slave trade) and indigenous people at the bottom. Furthermore, during Spanish
Imperialism, the introduction of Catholicism to the region, was perhaps the most significant factor in
cultural development in Latin America. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

8. Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman.
In the book Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman, the central thesis that he
tries to point out is that emotional intelligence may be more important than I.Q. in
determining a person s well being and success in life. At first I didn t know what
Goleman was talking about when he said emotional intelligence, but after reading the
book I have to say that I agree completely with Goleman. One reason for my acceptance
of Goleman s theory is that academic intelligence has little to do with emotional life. To
me, emotions can be just as intelligent as your I.Q. In this book report I hope to provide
sufficient evidence to show why I agree with Goleman s thesis on emotional intelligence.

are ambitious, productive, and uneasy with sexual and sensual experience. That high
I.Q. people are the caricature of the intellectual, adept in the realm of mind but inept in
the personal world. And all of this is just for the men. Goleman states, The profiles
differ slightly for men and women. High I.Q. women have intellectual confidence, are
fluent in expressing their thoughts and have a wide range of intellectual and aesthetic
interests. Goleman also does point out that these are extremes and that everyone mixes
I.Q. and emotional intelligence in varying degrees. But this does give us an instructive
look at what each of these dimensions adds to a person s qualities.
In the book, Emotional Intelligence , Goleman talks about two psychologists
(Sternberg and Salovey) who have taken a wider view on intelligence and give terms of
what they think it takes to lead a successful life. They mention five domains they think

10. A Trip On A Family Vacation At California, Disneyland, The...
I ve been on a family vacation for ten days that included a road trip to California, Disneyland, the
beach, and a family reunion camping trip. It was a pretty ambitious trip and has provided an
interesting reflection on budgeting budgeting time, budgeting money, and budgeting food. I read an
article recently that said the biggest reason people are late is that they are too optimistic. I laughed out
loud when I read that. I so often optimistically try to fit in one more thing before I leave and then end
up leaving late or I get too optimistic about there not being any traffic and then I am shocked when I
hit traffic and arrive late. Truly budgeting time in a way that makes me not late means budgeting for
contingencies, allowing room for things to go wrong, and knowing everything will not go as planned,
but still being able to arrive on time. I have to put extra time into my time budget, or I run out of time
too soon.
I think the same is true for food and money too. I have to plan for contingencies, know everything will
not go as planned, and add in extra room when I can. I took money expert Dave Ramsey s Financial
Peace University class just before I left on vacation and so made an effort to budget my vacation
money the way he recommends, using envelopes for each category. I separated our travel food budget
into 10 envelopes, one for each day of the trip, and put cash into each envelope to use on food each
day. What a challenge that has been! There have been meals where

11. Tabernacle Baptist Church Summary
Mini Ethnography at Tabernacle Baptist Church I chose to do my religious ethnographic study at my
home church, Tabernacle Baptist Church in Youngstown, Ohio on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Tabernacle is
an 112 year old historic Black Baptist church located on the lower Northside of Youngstown
surrounded by a mixed income housing development, homeless shelter, Youngstown State University,
and St. Elizabeth s Hospital. I would say the average age of a Tabernacle member is 55 years old.
About 70% of the members at this church are middle class families. Until about five years ago, its
membership was almost exclusively middle class. There has seen an influx of membership in working
class individuals and students since the arrival of Tabernacle s young, vibrant pastor, Rev. Christopher
McKee, Jr., three years ago. The church is attentive to the needs of this demographic but remains true
to its historic Black Baptist church roots. The church previously struggled with this conundrum until it
came to the reality that an exclusivist mindset around worship is detrimental to the body of Christ
when it did not have a pastor for over three years. The church was dying because no one was welcome
to it and it did not have a leader. Though it was difficult, this reassessment was beneficial in making
Tabernacle more relevant and welcoming to the community it is blessed to serve. ... Show more

Volcanic lakes can be created in three ways. Water collection in a crater formed by vulcanism is the
first way. Nemrut crater is a good example for that kind of lakes. The lava can create a natural dam
which means its a good opportunity to collect water and form into a volcanic lake such as Lake Van.
The other way is the explosion of gas which creates a hole on the surface. And water filling the hole
helps becoming a lake. This kind of volcanic lakes are called maar such as Lake Abant. Generally,
volcanic lakes have not an outlet, and they are increasingly mineralized because the mineralized water
flows from mountains fills the hole and then it evaporates. (Yusuf T.

This message seemed to work, Reagan would go on to win a historical landslide against Walter

In the article Gunsmithing Requires Innovation Paul Mazan has a customer come to him with hopes of

have Franks Firearms printed on the side of your shotguns. This proved to be all but helpful when
finding replacement parts for this antique project.
The thing about F. Dumoulin though, was that the company shut its doors and went out of business in

2.1 Personality traits of Fujio Mitarai
Personality is often described in terms of traits. It is a combination of traits that classifies an individual

personalities. It classifies traits into five dimensions: surgency/dominance, agreeableness, adjustment,
conscientiousness, and openness to experience (Achua and Lussier, 2013).
Fujio Mitarai, the president and CEO of Canon Inc. has turned around Canon s fortunes and tripled its

Therefore, he was merciless in axing unprofitable parts of the business.

with interviews from scores of black punk rockers from all over the United States. My overall
impression of the film is that Afro Punk is a very insightful documentary on the life of black punks.

Music adds an extra layer of depth that makes the film that much better. For example, throughout the
film there are passionate musical breaks spotlighting performances by the four main musicians. Davis
started his performance by standing with his guitar in hand in a calm manner. Being just a couple of
feet away from the crowd, he abruptly launches forward screaming his lyrics into the microphone.
This showed the intensity of punk music. Moe, sings his belligerent and tragic song about slavery,
while moving around the room and becoming one with the sound. Brown on the other hand has an
intense desirability. She brings all the attention to her eyes. Another technique used was using personal
stories of a few individuals to get the audience to connect to the characters. By using four main people
we are able to connect to them as human beings and we try to understand their struggle. It helps to
show us that this film isn t only about music and punk but it s about how many people specifically
black people get to know themselves as black people. And about how hard it is to be the minority in an
environment that is mostly white. This also keeps you wanting to watch the film to see what happens
to them next. Dark lighting was also used through the film. Lighting is important because it gives us

23. Compare And Contrast Mariah Carey And Mariah Carey
How Two Completely Different Artists: Britney Spears and Mariah Carey changed Pop Music? One is
the Pop Princess, one is the ultimate diva of all time, how can I put the two together to write an essay?
Their music may sound miles apart but their influence and impact on the pop music scene is surely on
the same par. At the end of the 80s, in the heydays of Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, a new artist
emerged from, well practically nowhere, she s Mariah Carey, since her debut, she scored more hits and
sold more records than any other artist yet her impact on the pop music remains rather obscured. So in
this first part of my essay, I m going to reflect on her legacy by writing about her key influence and
contributions to music. Whether did comparison came naturally from her and Whitney Houston
because they are so vocally alike and Houston is her only rival that can be compared to Carey at the
time period, or because of her many disadvantages in her live performances, Carey has been a target
for criticism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

24. Realistic Features Of Geoffrey Chaucer
Geoffrey Chaucer
Chaucer, one of the greatest English poets of all times, was born in London around the year 1340 and
died in 1400. He came from a wealthy merchant London family. Thanks to his education and his
father s court connections he became a member of Parliaments. After a marriage with a woman named
Philippa de Roet, a lady of high rank in waiting to the Queen, Chaucer got a diplomatic position. He
was sent abroad to secret talks and official business to Italy and France. There he learned French and
Italian, as well as studied their history, literature and culture, which influenced him later in his works.
He was appointed Customs Officer at London Harbour and served in the royal court. Not much is

As we know from the Prologue, the Reeve had been carpenter. As I got to know from history, reeves
and millers were as well antagonists in a real life. That is also a realistic feature of Miller´s tale, and
feeling offended from a Miller´s tale, Reeve makes a revenge in his tale about millers. Here Chaucer
set forth the ordinary feud between millers and reeves that happened in everyday life. When the tale
was ended, the pilgrims didn t know whether to be angry because of Miller´s rudeness or laugh at his
immoral story. But because of Reeve´s higher rank, they did not comment on it. According to Lowes,
the change to realism represented in the Canterbury Tales, divides his works, for it is in progress
during the whole life and career. Instead of familiar Italian, French, and English periods, there should
be only two: the theory of convention and the period of realism. Bibliography:

25. Essay on Behavior Change Theories and Strategies
To begin with,a health practisioner may fascilate behaviour change in an individual with a health
risk behaviour through the application of different behaviour change theories and strategies.
In general, health risk behaviours are actions which may threaten an individual s health causing
negative effects(Barkway,2009).Until the mid 20th century, global health threats were primarily a
result of infectious and communicable diseases. However, recently in developed countries, health
threats are now posed by diseases in which lifestyle play a role in the causation and or
management of illness. For instance, the modifiable risk factors for coronary heart disease,a

(Gillam,Yates,Badrinath,2007).Likewise,for behaviour change, simply telling people what is good for
them is not an effective stratergy.Four pre conditions are necessary for behaviour change to take place
whicha are:one must want to change, believe one can change, believe change will have the desired
effect and know how to change(Gillam,Yates,Badrinath,2007).An individuals subjective
norms, attitudes, self efficacy, peer support and education too influence behaviour
change(Commonwealth government of Australia,2010).
The health psycology thereby, presents physological theories and models derived from theories
to hypotheise and explain and predict behaviour and show how behaviour under observation is
enacted. These ultimately result in strategies to help people overcome resistance to change
behaviour and prevent relapse(Barkway,2009).
Out of the many theories, only some have been mentioned below which are cognitive and non
cognitive theories as well as transtheoritical theory and motivational interviewing. According to

The black cat is a story by Edgar Allen Poe. Some say he s a psychopath, or he s a loony, maybe even
some people say he s normal but in reality he was antisocial and he didn t like people. In this story
unbelievable things happen because of his imagination. He was married, he had a good wife, they didn

their home. The narrator told us in the beginning of the story that he was going to die the next day,
throughout the story he told us why.
Him and his wife had a cat named pluto many other animals but he was closest to the cat. The narrator
and the cat were close, they had a bond. Then the narrator started coming home in the wrong mind,

the cat clawed the guy and tried to bite him it made him mad so he took his pocket knife out of his

28. Stewart s Argument Analysis
The first aspect of choice showcased by Stewart is the delegation of authority. As per her statement,
whenever she is close with a member of the management team, she shares problems that she faces as a
leader and works with the junior manager to arrive at a decision. This also showcases her willingness
and ability to share information as well as an attribute of trust towards her members of staff.
Competence
The first aspect of confidence shown by Stewart is knowledge. Albeit a senior member of staff,
Stewart shows that she has detailed knowledge about minute aspects if the restaurant chain from top
management to how kitchens operate. Stewart also showcases knowledge on how to conduct positive

29. The Feminist Theory Of Fargo By The Coen Brothers
Scrolling through Netflix trying to pick a movie, viewers can generally get the idea of the movie based
on the title shown. The first thought that popped into my head after reading the title Fargo , was how
far would an individual strive to achieve and/or accomplish a goal or mission and how far would that
individual run if caught in a unforeseen circumstance. The 1996 film Fargo by the Coen Brothers,
explores a handful of themes such as, life, death and evil. The idea of the movie is that the main
character Jerry Lundegaard is a car sales man and is not very good at his job. He is shown no respect
from his wife and child and his boss, which is also his father in law. The film takes place in a small
town in Minnesota. This essay will explore the Feminist and Marxist theory, seen through this film
Fargo and its characters. The Feminist theory and Marxist theory are mainly seen through the
characters Marge, the police officer and Jerry the main character, which the entire movie revolves
around. In the Coen Brother s 1996 film Fargo , Jerry is a pathetic car salesman who is financially
unstable, plans to have his wife kidnapped so he can cash in on some money. A business deal about to
go sour Jerry, hires two goons for the kidnapping. Along with Jerry being very nervous and jumpy all

30. Women s Role In The Revolutionary War
Women have played an instrumental role in every American conflict from the Revolutionary War to
today complex battlefields. A major turning point for women s rights was the establishment of the
Women s Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. WAAC soldiers
fought to gain legitimacy within the military and overcome social biases. Their professionalism and
determination paved the way forward for women s integration into one all military branches. The best
way to illustrate women s integration is to start back in colonial times. During the Revolutionary War,
many women supported the war effort primarily in quartermaster roles working as cooks, laundresses,
and nurses. Deborah Sampson impersonated a man of over a year in General Washington s Colonial

1. Introduction
1.1. Use of biomass in Sub Saharan Africa
Biomass (charcoal and firewood) is the major energy source in southern Africa, particularly in rural
areas. Most households rely on biomass energy for cooking and space heating. This exhaustive use of
biomass cause several health and environmental related threats. This heavy reliance on biomass exerts
pressure on forests and trees which eventually leads to extensive deforestation and as well as soil
34. erosion. Furthermore, the traditional cooking on open fire leads to severe problems of indoor air
pollution and its associated health hazards. It is estimated that about 3% of the global burden of
diseases is caused by wood smoke resulting in 1.6 million premature deaths every year including 900
children under five (Malinski, 2008; Warwick and Doig, 2004; WHO, 2002).
One of the factors that results in high demand for fuelwood is its low combustion efficiency (Muneer
and Mohamed, 2003). The development and distribution of energy efficient cooking technology such
as improved biomass cooking stoves (ICS) is considered as one of the best technically possible,
socially reliable, and economically viable interventions available that can help to maintain low
demand for fuelwood to reduce pressure on forest reserves (Arnold et

Disneyland is one of the businesses that need to deal with culture changes all the time. Disneyland has
opened to North America, Latin America, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong since 1955 (David 2006).
However, Disneyland suffers a big loss in Paris while reaches a big success in Tokyo. How could this
happen? Disneyland has considered demographics, geographic and customer behaviors into strategy
making for Paris, but it did not provide alcohol in theme park in the country where drinking wine for
lunch. Disney invested money to set up grand hotels for visitor without thinking about that Europeans
visit Disneyland only for day excursions (Barnett Cavanagh 1994). By contrast, Disney in Tokyo
designed Cinderella s Castle Mystery Tour for Japanese specially and provided part time and full time
jobs which were suitable for Japanese employees instead of inflexible working hours in Paris. It can
be seen that Disney s failure in Paris was caused by resistance of American views . Thanks to the good
understanding of culture differences, Disney got a success in Tokyo. Accordingly, Disney should
attach strong importance to learning the culture in the place to which it want to expand. 1.3 Cultural

36. Theme Analysis of the play Trifles Essay
A play can be analyzed in multiple ways. One of these ways is through the play s theme. The theme of
a work is often a statement about life and the human condition. In the play Trifles by Susan Glaspell,
the theme noticing the little things can make a difference can be explained through plot, character, and
setting.
The theme can be developed through the plot. In Trifles, Mr. Wright was found murdered in his bed,
so the police arrested his wife. Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters, neighbors of the Wrights, went to Mrs.
Wright s house to pick up some things for her while she was in jail. As they were looking for Mrs.
Wright s sewing kit, the women found a birdcage with its door torn open in the cupboard. After
looking some more, Mrs. Hale and Mrs. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wright as the murderer.
Along with plot, character can help develop the theme. Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters say that Mrs.
Wright used to be lively and social, and used to sing in the choir. However, Mrs. Wright now stays in
her home most of the time. The women also say that Mr. Wright was a hard man. He might have made
Mrs. Wright give up her friends and her singing. When Mrs. Wright got a canary, Mr. Wright might
have strangled it because he did not like its singing. Mrs. Wright might then have murdered Mr.
Wright for taking away the one thing she had left.
Setting can also be used to develop the theme. The setting in the play was Mrs. Wright s kitchen. The
Wrights house was isolated, down in a hollow. The isolation, coupled with not going to town any
more, might have felt terrible for Mrs. Wright. In the 1920 s, the woman s place was traditionally in
the kitchen, so any clues about Mrs. Wright would be in her kitchen. She had left a mess out in the
kitchen: a half wiped table, unwashed pots and pans, a dishtowel lying out, and a misplaced loaf of
bread. Mrs. Wright would only have left a mess if she was in a hurry or was interrupted, such as by
Mr. Wright coming in and killing the canary.
Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters showed that noticing the little things could make a difference. By noticing
the mess in the kitchen and finding the strangled canary, Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters were able to figure
out that Mrs. Wright killed Mr.

Thus Waitrose concentrates on providing high quality own brand products (55% of products being
own brand), helping to also illustrate the image of exclusivity and elitism. From the positioning map
you can see that Tesco, Sainsbury s and ASDA are all positioned very close to each other indicating
the enormous amount of competition through price and quality. All three grocery retailers segment
themselves towards new and growing families, as they are huge sector of the market, with much
money to be made from. As you can also see Marks and Spencer s is positioned at the top end of the
scale for both price and quality, showing that they are perceived as a grocery retailer which provides a
high standard of products at high prices, segmenting themselves as an sophisticated grocery retailer.
Life stage segmentation also plays a vital role in defining and segmenting Waitrose market because it
looks at family characteristics and whether they match that of Waitrose. Whereas Waitrose s
competitors focus on new family, post and pre family groups Waitrose inclines towards post family,
older couple and single groups, as these groups are more able to afford their prices.
