Alligator Harm
In a breakthrough study that contradict decades of understanding, Louisiana state university
researchers has concluded that a person s drunkenness does not impair the ancient reptiles ability too
inflict enormous physical harm. Our data indicates that human intoxication do not transform an
alligator into a docile creature that enjoys wrestling said professor Ryder Strong, chair of LSU s
prestigious Center for Bullying and Hazing Studies. Despite it s slow witted demeanor and tendency
to bask motionlessly in the hot sun, its a mistake to believe that an alligator will passively tolerate a
half nelson, no matter how much Southern Comfort is fueling it . Strong said that the study yielded
statistics that speak for themselves. In 10 out of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even when armed with an empty tequila bottle. At best, the bottles bounced harmlessly off the
alligator s snout said LSU research assistant Tracy Sawyer. Also, Sawyer noted that when placed in
water, the drunken volunteers fared even worse, while the alligator performed markedly better in
addition, the alligators far outperformed their inebriated human counterparts in the following areas
lunging, biting, crushing, dismembering, and swallowing. According to the study, an alligators
characteristic grin should not be interpreted as a lighthearted reaction to the outrageous nerve of an
inebriated human. Don t let an alligator s easygoing appearance fool you, Sawyer says. These
creatures has no sympathy for drunken pranksters looking for fun. They are not like black bears. An
expert in the field, alligator wrestling is something Strong suggests should be undertaken only by
professionals. For drunkards interested in proving there mettle with alligators, the researchers
proposed certain guidelines. Instead of baiting an alligator, they suggest seeking another form of
drunken recreation, such as: attending a strip club, burning a pile of tires, calling an ex girlfriend, or

Essay On Coronary Artery Anomaly
A coronary artery anomaly (CAA) is defined as a congenital coronary artery malformation in the
absence of other congenital cardiac defects. As we continue to lack a screening tool to diagnose
CAAs, catheter directed angiography remains the gold standard both for diagnosis and treatment of
CAAs. Intervening CAAs continues to remain a complicated task even in the hands of experienced
operators. The greatest challenged faced in the management of CAAs is a delay in recognition largely
due to the element of surprise associated with their low prevalence. Other major factors which pose a
challenge during CAA interventions are the location of the coronary ostium within the aorta, the
proximal course of the vessel, and angulation of the vessel. We discuss ... Show more content on

Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI) and coronary angiography was planned. An FL4 (Boston Scientific)

descending artery (PDA) and posterolateral branches (PLB), all with minimal disease. Surprisingly,
the Left circumflex artery LCx was found to originate from the proximal RCA and was totally
occluded at its proximal segment. We used a multipurpose catheter to engage the RCA . Subsequently,
the LCx lesion was crossed with a Whisper wire and a Runthrough wire(Terumo) in a buddy technique
was utilized to provide additional support. A 2.0 x 12 mm Emerge balloon was used to dilate the
proximal LCx and the mid LCx lesion. This was followed by the deployment of a 2.5 x 32 mm

Starry Night And Van Gogh Analysis
The Starry Night (fig.1), painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1889, and Fountain (fig. 2), created by
Marcel Duchamp in 1914, are generally known as Modern Art. The professor Nalini Rao always
taught her students about the importance of analyzing artworks by various viewpoints in order to
appreciate underlying purposes of each artwork and how artworks are created, and The Starry Night
and Fountain actually have both similarities and differences. While both Vincent van Gogh and Marcel
Duchamp used new methods for depicting and reinterpreting the world, they differ in their reasons
why they used new techniques. Duchamp is the pioneer of Modern Art because his artwork is more
related to modern society than Van Gogh s. One similarity between Vincent van Gogh and Marcel
Duchamp is that both sought new approaches to depicting the world. The Starry Night has distortions
of nature by expressive use of colors. For example, Van Gogh depicted a moon and star filled night
sky, but the crescent moon is as bright as the sun, and eleven stars painted by green, yellow, white, and
pink are similar to jewels. Moreover, the Milky Way that looks a large swirling cloud gives individuals
strong and powerful impressions of Van Gogh s uniqueness. As shown above, Van Gogh distorted
nature by using various colors, and no one before Van Gogh depicted landscape energetically through
colors according to Nathalia Brodskaïa (88). In a similar way to Van Gogh s new approaches to art
making, Marcel Duchamp used

Subcategories Of The Nuclear Family
Sociologists agree to an extent, there are different subcategories of sociologists who have different
views on the family. First, what is meant by the typical family is (in terms of sociological studies) the
nuclear family. The nuclear family make reference to a mum, dad (whom are preferably married but at
least cohabiting), one or more children (usually two or three). The nuclear family is occasionally
referred to as a cereal packet family in a satirical or mocking way, this is by the sociologists who think
the typical family is a destructive or even a complete fallacy.
Firstly, there are different family types other than the nuclear one. The first one is a lone parent family,
this is when a child lives with one parent usually due to relationship

spend the entirety of his time in his apartment after an accident has left him stuck in a wheelchair. To

The Decision Between Quantitative And Qualitative Data
One of the most important parts of establishing a research design involves the decision between
quantitative and qualitative data. Each has its own strength and weaknesses that any successful
research design must account for. Perhaps one of the easiest distinctions between the two rests in the
sample size. While quantitative data normally involves a large n, or sample size, qualitative data
involves a much smaller sample size in comparison. This smaller sample size allows qualitative
researchers to focus more on each case, increasing the internal validity of the research, but limiting its
external validity. Quantitative based research designs reverse this. The large sample size of
quantitative data often makes it difficult for researches to establish causation among the independent
and dependent variable(s). The external validly of such designs usually offsets this issue to some
extent. Due to their large nature, and use of numerical data, quantitative research is much more
replicable when compared to their qualitative counterparts. Unfortunately, the struggle between
internal and external validity is a fundamental part of research. Even efforts to combine the two
methods to form a mixed methods research design ultimately fail to nullify the issue completely.
Keeping this in mind, a quantitative analysis is the most logical given the specific research question
and the data available. This chapter seeks to prove that there is a statistically significant difference in

My Greatest Strengths As A Writer
I ve always struggled with trying to stay focused on my school work. While it may not look like it on
the outside, it is a constant struggle in the inside. My mind is like a jungle gym with a bunch of kids
zooming around. Sometimes I would just stare at the screen of my computer hoping the words would
just appear themselves, but if that ever happened I probably wouldn t even be here. My brain has these
switches in them to tell me to do something else like play a game on your tablet or watch Netflix right
when I am writing my essay. It s how my brain works, and there never seems to be a manual switch
because it s automatic. My lack of focus caused me to face many obstacles, but through my
weaknesses I discovered some of my greatest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I also have a process when I peer review papers. I make sure to always compliment the student s paper
and then I point out some areas where there may need some improvement. I always make sure to
provide an example so they know what I am trying to say.
My last greatest strength as a writer is my commitment to providing the audience information in a way
that can be easily understood. When I was writing my research paper, I had to explain some
complicated concepts like Bayer demosaicing and photosites. In my research, I quoted what McHugh
explained about the Bayer demosaicing, Bayer demosaicing is the process of translating this Bayer
array of primary colors into a final image which contains full color information at each pixel. Instead
of rephrasing the definition I made a comparison, It s like a coloring book. You decide what colors you
want and you determine where they go, but until you ve finished completing the coloring you won t
see the final results. My comparison also provided a visual representation of how the Bayer
demosaicing process works. I think this helps make the concept easier to comprehend because the
reader can relate to it.
When I write my papers I usually like to talk out loud when I m writing them because it helps me hear
what it sounds like. However, my lack of focus can cause me to make a lot of grammar mistakes such
as comma splices. In all my papers, comma splices are the most common grammar mistakes I make.

Out hunting their human counterparts and scaring passerby, the grey wolf has long been considered a
menace. As a predator, many people refuse to view them as a creature to be protected and in an
attempt to reduce their population, Congress declared open season on their species, leading their
almost being hunted nearly to extinction. At their lowest point, they numbered in at about 1,400
(Center for Biological Diversity); a fraction of their earliest numbers. As an endangered species there
are a few programs put in place whose purpose is to maintain/swell the numbers of Canis Lupus in
their old regions (Iowa, Wisconsin, and Utah). These programs included the Center for Biological

Once again Yellowstone harbors all native species of large carnivores grizzly and black bears,

effects of Canis lupus on the ecology of Yellowstone can be seen at all levels. By lowering the deer
and elk population, grey wolves have in turn allowed the park to resume normal functionality with the
addition of new species. There are reports that after the population runs out of prey, well rather
outpaces the predator prey ratio, Canis Lupus presence will once again be a threat to the park. With
that being said, their prey s repopulation has inundated the wolves forward progress, thus slowing

Blackbeard Piracy Facts
Edward Teach, known by the nickname Blackbeard, was born in England, Bristol, 1680. Bourgoin

this was a time when piracy was abundant in the waters of the Caribbean and North America. Pirates
during this time were legally allowed to steal a certain group of ships, namely Spanish ships
(Woodward). These type of pirates were named either privateers, buccaneers, etc. Blackbeard was one
of them. Specifically, Edward Teach was a common combination of legal and illegal pirates. The
ferocious pirate Blackbeard was defined by his time as a privateer, a true pirate, and his death

There were also seasonal patterns on Blackbeard s voyages. When it was warm, Blackbeard robbed
ships off the coast of Virginia and Carolina. He had a favorite spot to attack the ships, the Ocracoke
Inlet; he would anchor his ships in shallow waters that prevents other ships from attacking. As the
weather becomes colder, he sails to the south until he reaches the Caribbean (Blackbeard). The way
they attack the ships are by boarding onto the ship themselves. Usually, the people on the merchant
ship surrenders, but if they do resist, they will be promptly executed in a brutal manner (Minister).
When he is raiding ships, he would prioritize his crew s health first. The crew s health is so important
that he once demanded a box full of medicine from the governor of South Carolina or else he would
murder all their prisoners, send up their heads to the governor, and set the ships they had taken on fire.
The government soon gave Edward a box of medicine (Jarus). This action is known as the Charleston

Analysis Of The Sound Of Music
At a period of time in the United States when the Vietnam War was rapidly escalating and gaining
opposition among the younger generation, the film The Sound of Music was released. Directed by
Robert Wise and released in 1965, The Sound of Music features musical numbers accompanied by the
movement and dancing of the von Trapp family. The setting of the film is Salzburg, Austria in 1938
immediately following the start of German occupation due to the Anschluss. Ultimately, the reprise of
So Long, Farewell in The Sound of Music subverts governmental authority over war by portraying a
movement shift from being restricted and uniform to running away with hope of freedom. The reprise
of So Long, Farewell features Maria von Trapp, Captain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As this pattern progresses, the children escaping the stage show more and more freedom of movement.
The last set of two sibling is two of the oldest daughters who, right before their exit, make a small
leap. This is the first time that enough excitement is shown that any of the family members actually
leave the stage surface. At this point in the number, only the two adults and the youngest child are left
on stage. The youngest von Trapp is ushered off stage to join the others before Maria and Captain
calmly walk off stage, embracing each other.
The most obvious subversion of war authority belongs to the setting of the movie 1938 in Salzburg,
Austria, the year in which Germanic Nazi power took over Austria. In March of 1938, Austria was the
first victim of Hitler s policy of aggression. The German domination of that country (the so called
Anschluss) heralded the beginning of a diplomatic demarche (Clute VII). Specifics as to how this
happened include a conspired alliance between Austrian Nazis and German Nazis who infiltrated their
power into Austrian government. The timeline of events began when Austrian Chancellor Kurt von
Schuschnigg met with Adolf Hitler after learning of the conspiracy. Schuschnigg s intention from this
meeting was to reassert dominance and independence, but instead was pressured into electing Austrian
Nazis to the cabinet. On March

Essay about The Peloponnesian War
Throughout the Ancient Greek world, there have been many wars and standoffs. However, there has
been only one which changed the course of Greek history forever; the Peloponnesian War. Caused by
the growing tension between Athens and Sparta, it came and left, leaving only destruction in its wake.
The defeat of Athens in the Peloponnesian War caused the downfall of Greece, and the end of the
Classical Age. The roots of the Peloponnesian war can be traced long before 431 BCE, when it
officially started. It can be traced back to as early as the Persian Wars, where the Athenians had found
their home burned by the hands of the Persians. That disaster left the Athenians with no home and no
sanctuary. Even though that was a defeated battle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The battle between Sparta s well built army and Athens s exemplary navy was like a battle between a
bear and a shark. If the bear goes into the water, the shark wins. However, if the shark enters land, the
bear will kill it. The Athenian general and military genius Pericles knew this. Therefore, he devised a
strategy that was based on the strength of his navy and the Spartan inability to battle him on sea; he
devised a strategy of attrition where they would sit at home, and outlast the enemy (Kagan 52). In his
mind, if Athens disregarded the Spartan land attacks, and instead survived off sea trade from their
allies, the enemy would be unable to cause much damage. He wanted to drain them out
psychologically, to get them to surrender from attacking the Athenian Empire (Kagan 52). One of the
most important steps in doing this was to connect Athens to its navy city and their port. They did this
by building walls that connected them, later known as the Long Walls (Kagan 9). Back then, walls
were almost impregnable to attacks, and were one of the best defenses in the ancient world. Therefore,
the addition of the Long Walls made both Athens and the port extremely hard to crack; they were
ready for any Spartan land attack that would come their way. When the war finally started and the
Spartans did come, they found that their attacks were not going to work. Their strategy of totally
crushing the Athenian Empire and fighting a battle of annihilation was countered by the

Benefits Of Retirement Plan Will Fit Financial Needs
Introduction
Choosing which retirement plan will fit financial needs is not always the easiest decision to make.
While investing in both traditional and Roth individual retirement accounts (IRAs) appears to draw
considerable attention, differences in the rules for contributing to and withdrawing from these
retirement plans places individuals and married couples in a predicament. They may choose to invest
in either a traditional or Roth IRA while they may also choose to invest in self direct, direct
contribution (DB) or defined benefit (DB) plans sponsored by employers. In any case, individuals and
married couples approaching retirement age should carefully consider their own financial needs before
choosing to invest in any retirement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other types of earned income include alimony and military differential pay, but does not include
interest or dividends from investments, income from rental property and pension payments (para. 3).
In terms of contribution limits for individuals and married couples with a Roth IRA, if earned income
for one year is less than the contribution limits, they may only contribute up the total earned income
amount (para. 4). As of 2014, for individuals and married couples under the age of 50, the annual
contribution limit is $5,500. For married couples filing separately, the earned income limit for making
contributions to a Roth IRA is $10,000. Otherwise, a married filing separately does not have any
eligibility for making contributions to a Roth IRA.
Tax Incentives Both traditional and Roth IRAs have generous tax incentives (Spors, para. 3).
However, claiming the tax incentives for either a traditional or a Roth IRA depends on timing. With
traditional IRAs, contributions made to it based on earned income are tax deductible on both state and
federal income tax returns for each year that an individual or married couple contributes (para. 3).
Withdrawals made during retirement receive the ordinary income tax rate (para. 3). Roth IRAs,
however, do not provide any tax incentives for any contributions made to the account, though earnings
and withdrawals are mostly tax free (para. 3). In other words, with traditional IRAs, contributions do
not have

Theme Of Syntax In The Great Gatsby
Diwakar Rai
Mr. Ramel
21st September of 2017
Analysis of The Great Gatsby
The author of The Great Gatsby was F. Scott Fitzgerland whose usage of diction, image, details,
figurative language and different type of structures of the sentence(syntax) creates the passage more
visible and understandable. For example, the author uses a word the valley of ashes to describe the
valley. Furthermore, he creates an image in the reader s mind with descriptive and concise words for
the valley in the better structure of the sentence. Besides, he also uses the figurative language to create
a better image that helps the reader to comprehend the story. Moreover, he uses detail such as the eye
of doctor T.J. are blue and gigantic, to convince the reader to ponder about how important it is to the
story. Overall, the author presented the finest story using his different techniques of writing which
assists the readers to understand the significance of incomplete goals that the main character had.
Diction is a word that holds strong meaning to the passage or text. Similarly, the author of the Great
Gatsby uses a word to describe the whole valley as the valley of ashes in the passage. Furthermore, his
descriptive clue and supporting details acknowledge the audiences that the valley is filled with the
ashes. Another example of the usage of diction is an ash gray man. The author used a color, gray, to
refer the people of the valley and the word gray which resemble the ashes, also support what the

of the movie, Lightning McQueen starts off as being very arrogant and cocky. He thinks he is all that.
You can tell by his actions that all he wants is the fame and the money. He never really thinks about
anybody besides himself. A prime example of this is when he is going to Los Angeles International

This research was based on the work of Jean Piaget and was influenced mainly by him, the aim of the
research was to assess the differences in children s cognitive development (thinking processes) at age
ranges from 4 6, 7 8 and 9 and above and to find out whether they would be able to use their logic in 3
tasks originally set out by Piaget. A Lab experiment was thought best because of the ability to

conceptualise, creating logical structures that explain his or her physical experiences. Abstract
problem solving is also possible at this stage. For example, arithmetic equations can be solved with
numbers, not just with objects.
4. Formal operations (beginning at ages 11 15) By this point, the child s cognitive structures are like
those of an adult and include conceptual reasoning.
During all development stages, the child experiences his or her environment using whatever mental
maps he or she has constructed so far. If the experience is a repeated one, it fits easily or is assimilated
into the child s cognitive structure so that he or she maintains mental equilibrium. If the experience is
different or new, the child loses equilibrium, and alters his or her cognitive structure to accommodate
the new conditions. This way, the child erects more and more adequate cognitive structures.

Taking a Look at Soil Depletion
With the constant overuse of the soil negative effects started to appear regarding the soil and the soil s
fertility. As farmers introduce the chemical fertilizers to their crops they seldom know that they are
decreasing the soil s fertility level and in return increasing the acidic levels, this is due to the fact that
chemical fertilizers cause the soil to turn acidic (Missouri Botanical Garden). Plants grow best in
neutral soils so when the soil turns acidic due to the implementation of chemical fertilizers farmers
add more chemical fertilizers to help the next yield of crops grow thinking that the soil needs more
nutrients and N P K when in reality all it needs is a little time off to try to recuperate itself naturally.
Sadly, sometimes in the end the soil is no longer able to grow anything. The great amounts of
fertilizers that are being used result in the soil turning into a desert; literally, this process is
desertification. Desertification is just that, the process in which a healthy fertile soil turns into a dry
infertile desert and once the soil reaches this state it is very difficult to restore it back to the healthy
soil it used to be but it is not impossible. A great role model that helped proved this statement was the
great Aldo Leopold. Leopold was a scientist that after experiencing a sudden change of thoughts; after
looking inside a wolf s eye, wrote about the importance of being one

Analysis Of `` A New Light ``
The latter part of our semester has been centered around Black feminists. Their work has been focused
on the ways in which the intersectionality of gender and sexuality influence the lives of women who
live under systems of oppression in the United States. These systems that deeply affect the way bodies
of color, Black women very specifically, are able to conduct their lives. Black women in particular, are
vulnerable to these systems in a way unlike any other body in America. Thinking back on the writings
of Beth E. Richie, Angela Davis, and Audre Lord, I now see Assata Shakur s Affirmation in a new
light. Affirmation is a poem that speaks to the pain and suffering Black bodies have endured, and even
through all of this pain, it speaks of optimism. I argue, that through the lens of Black feminism, we
can re examine many organizations and institutions in a way that can be truly be more inclusive of
people of all walks of life. If systems were created with regard for the most targeted groups of people
and not just the majority , we may truly see inclusive settings and we can benefit from the membership
of people from different races, class, gender identity, sexual orientation and age in these institutions.
In her autobiography, Assata Shakur said It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win.
We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains. This leads
right into what I believe Affirmation is about. What I first

The Judiciary And The Federal Budget
Poorly crafted statues almost always require future revision, sometimes in another moment of crisis.
This type of law making tends to increase the power of executive agencies as well as the courts.
Because the judiciary is forced to clarify legislation, to rule on its details and apply legislation to
uncertain situations, vague legislation ends up allocating substantial power to the judiciary. Imprecise
and open ended statues often increase to power of executive agencies, too. Such agencies are given
broad mandates without much guidance or oversight.
Decades ago, the US Congress would assign specific priorities and focuses to federal agencies when
approving the yearly federal budget. This guidance is especially important because the legislature
exerts little other control over independent agencies, like the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal
Communications Commission. Now, because the federal budget is so often approved during crisis
conditions (and sometimes merely extends the previous year s budget into the next), Congress offers
little guidance to independent agencies. This enhances the power of independent agencies while
leaving them without guidance. Unger s preferred mode of organizing politics would entail a
substantial increase to the last minute compromises and revisions that cause such confusion.
The courts, too, will be called upon to specify legislative details, meaning, and reach of legislation.

Essay about How the Downfall of RBS Could Have Been Prevented
1. What is the core idea behind agency theory?
2. Can you use agency theory to analyse:
a. the rise and downfall of RBS;
b. the mortgage debt crisis more generally?
3. Who is/are the principal(s) and who is/are the agent(s) in your analysis?
Can you think of one threat that arises from the use of agency theory in developing measures aimed to
prevent future banking and/or financial failures?
The emergency rescue of the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008 has cost the UK government thus the
British taxpayer a huge amount of money. Many people are upset about the high bonuses the RBS
management board have received, both because of the outrageously high amount and because the

By pursuing this, the manager (agent) also pursues the goals of the shareholders (principals). At least
that is the idea behind it.
The Royal Bank of Scotland just like many other banks and businesses paid out its managers
considerable bonuses for their performances. Managers at RBS started maximising their bonuses by
aggressive actions such as take overs and investing in complex financial products. These actions
caused the profits of RBS to grow rapidly, which meant high bonuses for the managers. These actions,
however, also meant the stability and financial safety of RBS on the long term got worse and worse.
This was not a problem for the managers as they had already earned their bonuses. A different bonus
structure probably would have prevented the reckless actions of the RBS managers.
Bonuses of managers could be paid out in shares which they are obliged to keep for a certain time
period, e.g. 5 years. That way the share price on the long term is of importance for the managers and
the goal of the shareholders is aligned with the goal of the managers. However, the share price is
dependent on much more factors than the performance of just one manager. There is a risk that
managers would feel they have little to none influence on the share price and still make risk full
decisions. Another possibility would be determining the bonus of a manager on their performance in
the long run, e.g. 5 years. A combination of these two bonus

What Is The Characteristics Of Gram Positive Or Gram...
Introduction:
There are two major classes of bacteria that contain peptidoglycan, Gram positive and Gram negative.
Gram positive bacteria will stain dark purple due to their thick peptidoglycan cell wall, while Gram
negative will stain pink due to their thin peptidoglycan cell wall. Many Gram positive and negative
bacteria are considered pathogens because they are capable of causing disease in humans. In order to
treat properly individuals who are infected with a pathogenic Gram positive or Gram negative
bacteria, the identity of the bacteria must be found. In this experiment numerous, differential and
selective media, as well as chemical test, were used to evaluate the growth patterns and characteristics
of clinically relevant bacteria. Data collected from the specific results was used to create a chart that
was used to identify an unknown Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
The genus Staphylococcus is a Gram positive cocci that is commonly arranged in grapelike clusters.
They are universally present in large numbers on the mucous membranes and skin of humans and
other warm blooded animals. They are non spore forming, nonmotile, facultative anaerobes. Many
species of staphylococcus can be pathogenic. Staphylococcus aureus is the most common pathogen. It
can be recovered from skin lesions, abscesses, and wound infections. It can move from these sites to
the bloodstream and urine, where it then has the possibility to cause more serious conditions in various
organs.

Evaluation Of A Project Management ( Apm ) Essay
A project is a temporary organization that is created for the purpose of delivering one or more business
product in accordance to an agreed business case (PRINCE2 2005). However, this definition doesn t
seem to elaborate on all the principles and numerous factors, which define a project as compared to
Association for Project Management (APM). APM defines a project as an endeavor in which, human
materials and financial resources are organized in a novel. Therefore, being able to deliver a unique
scope of work of given specification often within constraints of cost and time, in order to achieve
beneficial changes which is defined by quantitative and qualitative objectives. It s common for a
project to be mistaken for an operation or vise verse. Though, the difference between these two
subject/principles is highly distinctive. George D (2000) states that an operation is a permanent or
ongoing execution of activities, which produces repetitive results, the results maybe in a form of a
product or service. An operation usually has the same resources, same tasks and a standard output
expectation.
For example, a construction company might embark on a project to purchase two heavy duty dumb
trucks to help transport materials on sites. This project will have a start date and a fixed finish date.
The project manager will set dates for the duration it will take to collect finances, with the help from
the finance office, when to make transactions and if the is training required for

Art After The Great War
Art after The Great War The Great War was the first of its kind. Never before had combat been
conducted on such a global scale. The technological advancements resulting from the onset of
Industrialism allowed weapons and supplies to be mass produced. When the dust finally settled, the
death toll eclipsed 16 million, and another 20 million were wounded. Dada and Surrealism originated
as artistic reactions to the colossal destruction experienced during World War I. Dada radical and poet,
Tristan Tzara, confessed, the beginnings of Dada were not the beginnings of art, but of disgust (MoMa
Dada). Largely, this was disgust to the atrocities and suffering of war. However, it was also disgust
towards the bourgeoisie, political corruption, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marcel Duchamp is widely considered one of the most influential Dada artists. His works frequently
included the use of ready mades. Ready mades are pre fabricated items that the artist personally deems
as art. For example, a chair, or table could potentially be a ready made. One of Duchamp s most
famous ready mades is called Fountain. This piece is a previously used urinal, with the name R. Mutt
1917 written in black on the side. The installation is a classic example of Dada art, in that it does not
make sense. It is art because it is anti art. There is no logic, and there is no reason behind it. It is art
because the artist decided it was art. It simply exists. Francis Picabia is another prominent Dada artist.
In 1919, he created a diagram of how a supposed Dada alarm clock works. The dada movement aimed
to shake the world of modern art up. Art was considered boring and mundane. Dada was a noisy alarm
that woke up modern art from merely aesthetic slumber (Elderfield). Picabia s piece was supposed to
represent how it changed. The flow of current was actually the flow of change of modern art. While
Dada was intended to be a rebellious and purposeful response to conventional and traditional thinking
in society, its successor Surrealism resulted from the desire to explore the unconscious mind. Also, the
movement aimed to upset the conventions of reality. Surrealism started as a literary movement that
utilized a technique called automatism.

The structure of Indian society is different and unique than any other. Indian society believes in epics

some 32 million missing women in India. Some are never born, and the rest die because they do not

of women s status in the society. In 1901 there were 972 females per 1,000 males, while by 1971; the
ratio has come down to 930 females per 1,000 males. In 1981 there has been only a nominal increase

The 2001 census indicate that the trend has been slightly arrested with the sex ratio at 933 females per
1000 males, with Kerala at 1058 females. The sex ratio of the 0 6 age group has declined sharply from

Haryana (820), Delhi (865), Gujarat (878) and Himachal Pradesh (897) have worst child sex ratio.

Sandburg And Blake
In the poem, London by William Blake and Chicago by Carl Sandburg, the speakers in the poem made
use of several figurative languages to compliment the style of the poem and also the theme present in
both poems. Vampirism is a big theme that presents itself in both poems and both speakers made sure
to exploit this general theme. To begin with, the poem Chicago , addresses the outlook of Chicago
during the period of its development. The speaker of the poem focuses on the things that Chicago is
consisted of and in several ways, debunked the misconceptions about Chicago. This was achieved
through humor and a bit of sarcasm. Chicago is seen to be laughing...as an ignorant fighter...who has
never lost a battle. The speaker even further personifies Chicago as a wicked, crooked and brutal
person that cares not too much about the people under its care. This ties well into the governmental
system of Chicago where the gunman [kills and goes] free to kill again. In comparison to London by
William Blake, the same theme is repeated in lines 10 to lines 12 where the Palace walls were stained

An Audit Report On An Auditor
Introduction
An audit report is an opinion written by an auditor regarding the financial statements of an
organization. The report is prepared using a format that is standard and generally accepted. However,
there can be variations in the report; it only depends on the circumstances of the work and the
engagement of the auditor (Asare Wright pg. 198). An auditor s opinion can either be a clean opinion,
qualified opinion, adverse opinion or a disclaimer opinion. An honest opinion is given if the financial
statements show a fair representation of an organization s financial position. A qualified opinion is
offered if there were any limiting factors imposed on the work of the auditor. An adverse opinion is

With the two audit reports of 2014, and 2015 we can see that there was communication between both
parties that is the auditors and the accountants of the firm. The ISA was used as a guideline on how the
auditors communicated with the accountants by guiding the auditing team on the specific items that
needed communication with the governance group. This enabled both teams to understand matters that
related to audit and also was a base for a working relationship that was constructive. The auditors
focused on this ISA to ensure that they remained objective, transparent, and independent as they
conducted the audit of the financial statements of the enterprise and also the reporting of the audited
information (Andon O Dwyer, pg. 1400).
The audit reports of 2014 and 2015 use the ISA 570 where the auditor responsibility has to audit the
financial reports about how the management uses the going concern aspect when preparing the
financial statements. Therefore, the going concern assumption allows one to view a company as a
business that will continue with its operations in the future. Additionally, the management prepares
their financial reports using this assumption unless the organization intends to cease its operations or
liquidate their assets (Bhattacharyya, pg 20). Therefore, the auditors in both reports show that the
organization is going to continue with their transactions shortly because the assets together with the

Nationalism vs Patriotism
George Orwell wrote that nationalism was one of the worst enemies of peace. He defined nationalism
as the feeling that your way of life, country, or ethnic group were superior to others. These types of
feelings lead a group to attempt to impose their morality on any given situation. When those standards
were not met, more often then not, war would result. In contrast he stated that patriotism was the
feeling of admiration for a way of life etc. and the willingness to defend it against attack. The obvious
difference between the two is that while patriotism is a passive attitude, nationalism is aggressive by
nature. Orwell was writing this during the years just prior to World War Two when nationalism in
Europe was running rampant. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On their side the United States began their policy of propping up a variety of dictatorships under the
guise of preventing the spread of communism. It s debateable whether these initial actions were driven
more by real politick then nationalism, one side trying to limit the other sides power and influence
more then an expansion and imposition of a way of life. But in the end the justifications for actions
began to take on the sound of nationalistic fervour whatever the original intent.
American governments began wrapping themselves in the flag of protectors of freedom and
democracy under more and more spurious circumstances. Meanwhile the Soviets claims of liberation
from the chains of capitalism and oppression became harder to swallow during the post Stalin
revelations of mass murders and famine. Nationalism has a history in both countries as far back as
their beginnings. Under the Tsars the Russian empire was just as expansionistic as the Soviets
stretching their sphere of influence from the Balkans to the near east. In the U. S. it was first
implemented as policy in 1810 with the Monroe Doctrine, which lay claim to the whole western
hemisphere as being under American influence. In both countries these policies continue unabated till
this day. Chile, Nicaragua, Grenada, Panama, and Cuba for the U.S. and Chechnya and Afghanistan

The tussle between Mr. Heathcliff (poor)and Mr. Lockwood s eldest son(rich) serves as a metaphor.
It also brings to notice the ever ongoing tussle between the will of heart and the will of the society,

The State University Of New York
Introduction
The State University of New York (2014) provides and clear and accurate description of globalization:
Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and
governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by
information technology. This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems,
on economic development and prosperity, and on human physical well being in societies around the
world (The State University of New York, 2014, para 1). Global economics affects the decisions of
firms, governments, and individuals in the United State in many different ways. The World Trade
Organization manages the rules and trade between nations and has a significant impact on intellectual
property rights. Intellectual property rights refer creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and
artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce (World Intellectual
Property Organization, 2014). The purpose of this paper is to compare and contrast free trade and
protectionist theories, analyze how the global environment functions on a micro and macro level
within the context of the World Trade Organization, analyze the two level game theory and how
organizations make financial decisions in a globalized environment, and determine which parties
benefit from either increasing or decreasing trade restriction.

2. If you have a son, nephew, or any relationship with a young boy; this dream is letting you know that
you need to stop stifling him and allow him to run free.
3. There is someone in your life with male energy who has some kind of physical, mental, or
emotional, handicapped; however, they have the capacity to take care of themselves.
4. This could be your inner male communicating to you that you need to become in touch with the
masculine side of you. The horse hooves are symbolic for you not being comfortable with your male
within.
5. Someone who you are trying to aid is feeling smother by you, your inner female, or another female
relative. Allow this person to fend for themselves.
6. Lastly, you are the tired woman who is holding back; therefore, you need more freedom in your life.
Please observe what is occurring in your life to determine which interpretation fits best.

Morality And Virtue In The Shawshank Redemption
In John Milton s Paradise Lost (1667) the archangel Michael predicts that the son of God shall
raise/From the conflagrant mass, purg d and refin d,/New Heav ns, new Earth, Ages of endless
date/Founded in righteousness and peace and love/To bring forth fruits Joy and eternal Bliss (Milton
247). In this quote, the archangel foretells of Jesus Christ and his overarching goodness and harmony,
all of which he will share through his sacrifice and ultimate rebirth, bringing peace and light from his
miracles and martyrdom. These characteristics of promulgating kindness and virtue manifest in the
movie The Shawshank Redemption, through the enigmatic protagonist, Andy, who positively
influences those around him and manages to commit his own, modernized, forms of thaumaturgy.
Andy proves himself as a Christ figure through his kind, philanthropic nature that draws others to his
character, making acolytes of ordinary men. For example, Andy helps to build a library at the prison, a
declared impossible task or a miracle attempting to encourage those around him to learn and study
because of the persistency of his letters. The scene in which the construction work begins details an
essential aspect to Andy s victory in spreading knowledge, the director explaining it as tracking the
construction. Walls have been knocked down. Men are painting, plastering, hammering. Lots of
shelves going up. Red is head carpenter. We find him discussing plans with Andy. Throughout the
scene the director utilizes humor to highlight the illiteracy of the inmates, further sanctifying Andy s
goodness in teaching them at such an uneducated level. At least for Andy, his people will not suffer
from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Furthermore, foreshadowing manifests in one of the books that
inmate Haywood mentions, The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas, as pointed out by Andy,
the protagonist in the novel conducts a prison break, all while the eye level shots help the audience
become more comfortable with the characters, shaping them into more realistic people and allowing a
more clear interaction between each of the characters.
Not only does Andy create disciples of the inmates, but he also creates followers from the antagonistic

Though the situation of fraud appears to be black and white, what is there to be said about the auditors
who do not detect the fraud committed by their clients? Where they incompetent in their audit of the
financial statements, or were they somehow involved in the fraudulent activities? A case that
demonstrates the consequences to auditors when fraud is found to have been perpetrated by a client is
that of Ernst Young and the lumber company, Sino Forest. Sino Forest is a Canadian Chinese timber
company that was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange; before the fraud allegations, it was the most
valuable forestry company on the TSX. (The Canadian Press, CBC, 2012) However, it was accused of
fraudulently overstating its timber assets, supposedly located in China. Through its investigation, the
Ontario Securities Commission found that
Sino held undisclosed control over the network of third parties through which it conducted purchase
and sale transactions. In turn, these deals were backed by fraudulent contracts that were not drafted
until the quarter after they allegedly took place and revenue from them was recognized. (Koven, 2012)
In other words, Sino Forest did not inform the auditors, or the public, that they had control over their
third party suppliers and customers.

Issaqueena Trail in Clemson that claimed to take you to New York City with one bite. After visiting
Joe s, I realized they weren t lying! Joe s New York Pizza sets the bar high for other pizza places due
to its high food quality, prompt service, and overall welcoming environment. The sun hung low in the
sky as I walked up to the entrance to Joe s. When the front door opened, scents of roasted garlic,
melted cheese, and spices and a smile greeted me. The place was spotless with glimmering floors, and
the glass looked like you could put your hand through it. There was no mistaking that this was a
Clemson oriented shop; orange and purple tables, booths, chairs, and walls filled the building. On the
main wall, there was a mural stretching to both ends depicting a roaring tiger, Death Valley post win,
and a plethora of Clemson sports. Towards the back of the dining room, there was an open kitchen,
guarded by two stainless steel shelves. I could see the industrial oven through the window, as they
pulled out hot, freshly baked pizzas, cut them, and sent them on. Sounds of clanking plates, a ... Show

I felt like a penguin waddling out with a full belly. Joe s New York Pizza is hands down the best pizza
place I have ever stepped foot in. Their menu had an eclectic group of choices, the place was
spotlessly clean, and the pride taken in Clemson via art was admirable. I would rate Joe s 5 stars
without a shadow of a doubt. Not only is the food excellent quality, but the first rate staff and the
convivial atmosphere created really sets them apart from other restaurants in the area. I will be
returning, and I recommend anyone who hasn t enjoyed a slice of New York pie to get in line at Joe s

Social Cultural Context Of Behavior Change Interventions
Much of the current scholarly literature argues that managing workplace culture is an increasingly
vital subject in any organisation. Workplace culture, also known as organizational culture can be
defined as the values, beliefs, norms and assumptions that contribute to the unique social and
psychological environment of any organization (The Business Dictionary, 2015). Research has
recognized that a strong workplace culture is not only important for the successfulness and
sustainability of a company, but for the welfare of the individuals who work in it (Glisson, 2007).
Over the years numerous interventions have been implemented within organisations in order to
improve workplace culture. This review will aim to report findings on the social cultural context of
behaviour change interventions based on teamwork interventions, mindfulness interventions
leadership training interventions.
Teamwork is a significant element in any workplace, as it offers all employees the sense of unity,
reliability and support, and gives them the ability to work together efficiently. An intervention
conducted by Bleakley et al (2012) aimed to investigate whether an education intervention would
result in a significant development of attitudes towards teamwork across a surgical provision. The
intervention was based on Crew Resource Management (CRM), which uses participatory action
research to familiarize the strategies within the specific team context. A longitudinal quasi
experimental design was

Sonos wasn t the first syndicate to perfect on a multiroom digital sound for the home, but the company
has truly put on a unique sound system that is easy to use and incredibly greater on its own way than
most sound systems hence it is recommended at a premium price. This first company s sound bar is
considered a success by many mainly due to the understated looks that perfectly fits the sound bar
which is unambiguously designed to lie evenly when placed on a television cabinet or wall mounted to
give a simulated sound so as to mantle the entire room and making it sound as if there are other added
speakers to all sides when in real sense there aren t. for Sonos enthusiasts who are looking for an

For the movies an listening, the sound system has several nice features that works perfectly well with
PlayBar that includes
Night sound mode: to poultice a vibrant range mainly to give out the slightest dialog plus subtile
surround sound effects without overwhelming the loud noises of the movie to equalize the soft and
quiet points and the differences between the two without the need to keep increasing and reducing the

  • 2. Alligator Harm In a breakthrough study that contradict decades of understanding, Louisiana state university researchers has concluded that a person s drunkenness does not impair the ancient reptiles ability too inflict enormous physical harm. Our data indicates that human intoxication do not transform an alligator into a docile creature that enjoys wrestling said professor Ryder Strong, chair of LSU s prestigious Center for Bullying and Hazing Studies. Despite it s slow witted demeanor and tendency to bask motionlessly in the hot sun, its a mistake to believe that an alligator will passively tolerate a half nelson, no matter how much Southern Comfort is fueling it . Strong said that the study yielded statistics that speak for themselves. In 10 out of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even when armed with an empty tequila bottle. At best, the bottles bounced harmlessly off the alligator s snout said LSU research assistant Tracy Sawyer. Also, Sawyer noted that when placed in water, the drunken volunteers fared even worse, while the alligator performed markedly better in addition, the alligators far outperformed their inebriated human counterparts in the following areas lunging, biting, crushing, dismembering, and swallowing. According to the study, an alligators characteristic grin should not be interpreted as a lighthearted reaction to the outrageous nerve of an inebriated human. Don t let an alligator s easygoing appearance fool you, Sawyer says. These creatures has no sympathy for drunken pranksters looking for fun. They are not like black bears. An expert in the field, alligator wrestling is something Strong suggests should be undertaken only by professionals. For drunkards interested in proving there mettle with alligators, the researchers proposed certain guidelines. Instead of baiting an alligator, they suggest seeking another form of drunken recreation, such as: attending a strip club, burning a pile of tires, calling an ex girlfriend, or paint one s rear end with a funny face and videotape ... • 3. Essay On Coronary Artery Anomaly A coronary artery anomaly (CAA) is defined as a congenital coronary artery malformation in the absence of other congenital cardiac defects. As we continue to lack a screening tool to diagnose CAAs, catheter directed angiography remains the gold standard both for diagnosis and treatment of CAAs. Intervening CAAs continues to remain a complicated task even in the hands of experienced operators. • 4. Starry Night And Van Gogh Analysis The Starry Night (fig.1), painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1889, and Fountain (fig. 2), created by Marcel Duchamp in 1914, are generally known as Modern Art. The professor Nalini Rao always taught her students about the importance of analyzing artworks by various viewpoints in order to appreciate underlying purposes of each artwork and how artworks are created, and The Starry Night and Fountain actually have both similarities and differences. While both Vincent van Gogh and Marcel Duchamp used new methods for depicting and reinterpreting the world, they differ in their reasons why they used new techniques. Duchamp is the pioneer of Modern Art because his artwork is more related to modern society than Van Gogh s. One similarity between Vincent van Gogh and Marcel Duchamp is that both sought new approaches to depicting the world. The Starry Night has distortions of nature by expressive use of colors. For example, Van Gogh depicted a moon and star filled night sky, but the crescent moon is as bright as the sun, and eleven stars painted by green, yellow, white, and pink are similar to jewels. Moreover, the Milky Way that looks a large swirling cloud gives individuals strong and powerful impressions of Van Gogh s uniqueness. As shown above, Van Gogh distorted nature by using various colors, and no one before Van Gogh depicted landscape energetically through colors according to Nathalia Brodskaïa (88). • 10. The Decision Between Quantitative And Qualitative Data One of the most important parts of establishing a research design involves the decision between quantitative and qualitative data. Each has its own strength and weaknesses that any successful research design must account for. Perhaps one of the easiest distinctions between the two rests in the sample size. While quantitative data normally involves a large n, or sample size, qualitative data involves a much smaller sample size in comparison. This smaller sample size allows qualitative researchers to focus more on each case, increasing the internal validity of the research, but limiting its external validity. Quantitative based research designs reverse this. The large sample size of quantitative data often makes it difficult for researches to establish causation among the independent and dependent variable(s). The external validly of such designs usually offsets this issue to some extent. Due to their large nature, and use of numerical data, quantitative research is much more replicable when compared to their qualitative counterparts. Unfortunately, the struggle between internal and external validity is a fundamental part of research. Even efforts to combine the two methods to form a mixed methods research design ultimately fail to nullify the issue completely. Keeping this in mind, a quantitative analysis is the most logical given the specific research question and the data available. This chapter seeks to prove that there is a statistically significant difference in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In my research, I quoted what McHugh explained about the Bayer demosaicing, Bayer demosaicing is the process of translating this Bayer array of primary colors into a final image which contains full color information at each pixel. Instead of rephrasing the definition I made a comparison, It s like a coloring book. You decide what colors you want and you determine where they go, but until you ve finished completing the coloring you won t see the final results. Caused by the growing tension between Athens and Sparta, it came and left, leaving only destruction in its wake. The defeat of Athens in the Peloponnesian War caused the downfall of Greece, and the end of the Classical Age. The roots of the Peloponnesian war can be traced long before 431 BCE, when it officially started. The battle between Sparta s well built army and Athens s exemplary navy was like a battle between a bear and a shark. If the bear goes into the water, the shark wins. However, if the shark enters land, the bear will kill it. The Athenian general and military genius Pericles knew this. Therefore, he devised a strategy that was based on the strength of his navy and the Spartan inability to battle him on sea; he devised a strategy of attrition where they would sit at home, and outlast the enemy (Kagan 52). In his mind, if Athens disregarded the Spartan land attacks, and instead survived off sea trade from their allies, the enemy would be unable to cause much damage. He wanted to drain them out psychologically, to get them to surrender from attacking the Athenian Empire (Kagan 52). One of the most important steps in doing this was to connect Athens to its navy city and their port. They did this by building walls that connected them, later known as the Long Walls (Kagan 9). Back then, walls were almost impregnable to attacks, and were one of the best defenses in the ancient world. Therefore, the addition of the Long Walls made both Athens and the port extremely hard to crack; they were ready for any Spartan land attack that would come their way. When the war finally started and the Spartans did come, they found that their attacks were not going to work. Their strategy of totally crushing the Athenian Empire and fighting a battle of annihilation was countered by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Taking a Look at Soil Depletion With the constant overuse of the soil negative effects started to appear regarding the soil and the soil s fertility. As farmers introduce the chemical fertilizers to their crops they seldom know that they are decreasing the soil s fertility level and in return increasing the acidic levels, this is due to the fact that chemical fertilizers cause the soil to turn acidic (Missouri Botanical Garden). Plants grow best in neutral soils so when the soil turns acidic due to the implementation of chemical fertilizers farmers add more chemical fertilizers to help the next yield of crops grow thinking that the soil needs more nutrients and N P K when in reality all it needs is a little time off to try to recuperate itself naturally. Sadly, sometimes in the end the soil is no longer able to grow anything. The great amounts of fertilizers that are being used result in the soil turning into a desert; literally, this process is desertification. Desertification is just that, the process in which a healthy fertile soil turns into a dry infertile desert and once the soil reaches this state it is very difficult to restore it back to the healthy soil it used to be but it is not impossible. Their work has been focused on the ways in which the intersectionality of gender and sexuality influence the lives of women who live under systems of oppression in the United States. These systems that deeply affect the way bodies of color, Black women very specifically, are able to conduct their lives. Black women in particular, are vulnerable to these systems in a way unlike any other body in America. Thinking back on the writings of Beth E. Richie, Angela Davis, and Audre Lord, I now see Assata Shakur s Affirmation in a new light. Affirmation is a poem that speaks to the pain and suffering Black bodies have endured, and even through all of this pain, it speaks of optimism. I argue, that through the lens of Black feminism, we can re examine many organizations and institutions in a way that can be truly be more inclusive of people of all walks of life. If systems were created with regard for the most targeted groups of people and not just the majority , we may truly see inclusive settings and we can benefit from the membership of people from different races, class, gender identity, sexual orientation and age in these institutions. • 25. The Judiciary And The Federal Budget Poorly crafted statues almost always require future revision, sometimes in another moment of crisis. This type of law making tends to increase the power of executive agencies as well as the courts. Because the judiciary is forced to clarify legislation, to rule on its details and apply legislation to uncertain situations, vague legislation ends up allocating substantial power to the judiciary. Imprecise and open ended statues often increase to power of executive agencies, too. Such agencies are given broad mandates without much guidance or oversight. Decades ago, the US Congress would assign specific priorities and focuses to federal agencies when approving the yearly federal budget. This guidance is especially important because the legislature exerts little other control over independent agencies, like the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal Communications Commission. Now, because the federal budget is so often approved during crisis conditions (and sometimes merely extends the previous year s budget into the next), Congress offers little guidance to independent agencies. This enhances the power of independent agencies while leaving them without guidance. • 27. Essay about How the Downfall of RBS Could Have Been Prevented 1. What is the core idea behind agency theory? 2. Can you use agency theory to analyse: a. the rise and downfall of RBS; b. the mortgage debt crisis more generally? 3. Who is/are the principal(s) and who is/are the agent(s) in your analysis? Can you think of one threat that arises from the use of agency theory in developing measures aimed to prevent future banking and/or financial failures? The emergency rescue of the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008 has cost the UK government thus the British taxpayer a huge amount of money. Many people are upset about the high bonuses the RBS management board have received, both because of the outrageously high amount and because the performance of the bank on the long term was not good at all. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By pursuing this, the manager (agent) also pursues the goals of the shareholders (principals). At least that is the idea behind it. The Royal Bank of Scotland just like many other banks and businesses paid out its managers considerable bonuses for their performances. Managers at RBS started maximising their bonuses by aggressive actions such as take overs and investing in complex financial products. These actions caused the profits of RBS to grow rapidly, which meant high bonuses for the managers. These actions, however, also meant the stability and financial safety of RBS on the long term got worse and worse. This was not a problem for the managers as they had already earned their bonuses. A different bonus structure probably would have prevented the reckless actions of the RBS managers. Bonuses of managers could be paid out in shares which they are obliged to keep for a certain time period, e.g. 5 years. That way the share price on the long term is of importance for the managers and the goal of the shareholders is aligned with the goal of the managers. However, the share price is dependent on much more factors than the performance of just one manager. There is a risk that managers would feel they have little to none influence on the share price and still make risk full decisions. Another possibility would be determining the bonus of a manager on their performance in the long run, e.g. 5 years. A combination of these two bonus ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. What Is The Characteristics Of Gram Positive Or Gram... Introduction: There are two major classes of bacteria that contain peptidoglycan, Gram positive and Gram negative. Gram positive bacteria will stain dark purple due to their thick peptidoglycan cell wall, while Gram negative will stain pink due to their thin peptidoglycan cell wall. Many Gram positive and negative bacteria are considered pathogens because they are capable of causing disease in humans. In order to treat properly individuals who are infected with a pathogenic Gram positive or Gram negative bacteria, the identity of the bacteria must be found. In this experiment numerous, differential and selective media, as well as chemical test, were used to evaluate the growth patterns and characteristics of clinically relevant bacteria. Data collected from the specific results was used to create a chart that was used to identify an unknown Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. The genus Staphylococcus is a Gram positive cocci that is commonly arranged in grapelike clusters. They are universally present in large numbers on the mucous membranes and skin of humans and other warm blooded animals. They are non spore forming, nonmotile, facultative anaerobes. Many species of staphylococcus can be pathogenic. Staphylococcus aureus is the most common pathogen. It can be recovered from skin lesions, abscesses, and wound infections. It can move from these sites to the bloodstream and urine, where it then has the possibility to cause more serious conditions in various organs. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 29. Evaluation Of A Project Management ( Apm ) Essay A project is a temporary organization that is created for the purpose of delivering one or more business product in accordance to an agreed business case (PRINCE2 2005). However, this definition doesn t seem to elaborate on all the principles and numerous factors, which define a project as compared to Association for Project Management (APM). APM defines a project as an endeavor in which, human materials and financial resources are organized in a novel. Therefore, being able to deliver a unique scope of work of given specification often within constraints of cost and time, in order to achieve beneficial changes which is defined by quantitative and qualitative objectives. It s common for a project to be mistaken for an operation or vise verse. Though, the difference between these two subject/principles is highly distinctive. George D (2000) states that an operation is a permanent or ongoing execution of activities, which produces repetitive results, the results maybe in a form of a product or service. An operation usually has the same resources, same tasks and a standard output expectation. For example, a construction company might embark on a project to purchase two heavy duty dumb trucks to help transport materials on sites. This project will have a start date and a fixed finish date. One of Duchamp s most famous ready mades is called Fountain. This piece is a previously used urinal, with the name R. Mutt 1917 written in black on the side. The installation is a classic example of Dada art, in that it does not make sense. It is art because it is anti art. There is no logic, and there is no reason behind it. It is art because the artist decided it was art. It simply exists. Francis Picabia is another prominent Dada artist. In 1919, he created a diagram of how a supposed Dada alarm clock works. The dada movement aimed to shake the world of modern art up. Art was considered boring and mundane. Dada was a noisy alarm that woke up modern art from merely aesthetic slumber (Elderfield). Picabia s piece was supposed to represent how it changed. The flow of current was actually the flow of change of modern art. While Dada was intended to be a rebellious and purposeful response to conventional and traditional thinking in society, its successor Surrealism resulted from the desire to explore the unconscious mind. Sandburg And Blake In the poem, London by William Blake and Chicago by Carl Sandburg, the speakers in the poem made use of several figurative languages to compliment the style of the poem and also the theme present in both poems. Vampirism is a big theme that presents itself in both poems and both speakers made sure to exploit this general theme. To begin with, the poem Chicago , addresses the outlook of Chicago during the period of its development. The speaker of the poem focuses on the things that Chicago is consisted of and in several ways, debunked the misconceptions about Chicago. This was achieved through humor and a bit of sarcasm. Chicago is seen to be laughing...as an ignorant fighter...who has never lost a battle. The speaker even further personifies Chicago as a wicked, crooked and brutal person that cares not too much about the people under its care. This ties well into the governmental system of Chicago where the gunman [kills and goes] free to kill again. An auditor s opinion can either be a clean opinion, qualified opinion, adverse opinion or a disclaimer opinion. With the two audit reports of 2014, and 2015 we can see that there was communication between both parties that is the auditors and the accountants of the firm. The ISA was used as a guideline on how the auditors communicated with the accountants by guiding the auditing team on the specific items that needed communication with the governance group. This enabled both teams to understand matters that related to audit and also was a base for a working relationship that was constructive. The auditors focused on this ISA to ensure that they remained objective, transparent, and independent as they conducted the audit of the financial statements of the enterprise and also the reporting of the audited information (Andon O Dwyer, pg. 1400). The audit reports of 2014 and 2015 use the ISA 570 where the auditor responsibility has to audit the financial reports about how the management uses the going concern aspect when preparing the financial statements. Therefore, the going concern assumption allows one to view a company as a business that will continue with its operations in the future. Additionally, the management prepares their financial reports using this assumption unless the organization intends to cease its operations or liquidate their assets (Bhattacharyya, pg 20). • 35. Nationalism vs Patriotism George Orwell wrote that nationalism was one of the worst enemies of peace. He defined nationalism as the feeling that your way of life, country, or ethnic group were superior to others. These types of feelings lead a group to attempt to impose their morality on any given situation. When those standards were not met, more often then not, war would result. In contrast he stated that patriotism was the feeling of admiration for a way of life etc. and the willingness to defend it against attack. Morality And Virtue In The Shawshank Redemption In John Milton s Paradise Lost (1667) the archangel Michael predicts that the son of God shall raise/From the conflagrant mass, purg d and refin d,/New Heav ns, new Earth, Ages of endless date/Founded in righteousness and peace and love/To bring forth fruits Joy and eternal Bliss (Milton 247). In this quote, the archangel foretells of Jesus Christ and his overarching goodness and harmony, all of which he will share through his sacrifice and ultimate rebirth, bringing peace and light from his miracles and martyrdom. These characteristics of promulgating kindness and virtue manifest in the movie The Shawshank Redemption, through the enigmatic protagonist, Andy, who positively influences those around him and manages to commit his own, modernized, forms of thaumaturgy. Andy proves himself as a Christ figure through his kind, philanthropic nature that draws others to his character, making acolytes of ordinary men. For example, Andy helps to build a library at the prison, a declared impossible task or a miracle attempting to encourage those around him to learn and study because of the persistency of his letters. The scene in which the construction work begins details an essential aspect to Andy s victory in spreading knowledge, the director explaining it as tracking the construction. Walls have been knocked down. Men are painting, plastering, hammering. Lots of shelves going up. Red is head carpenter. We find him discussing plans with Andy. Throughout the scene the director utilizes humor to highlight the illiteracy of the inmates, further sanctifying Andy s goodness in teaching them at such an uneducated level. At least for Andy, his people will not suffer from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Furthermore, foreshadowing manifests in one of the books that inmate Haywood mentions, The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas, as pointed out by Andy, the protagonist in the novel conducts a prison break, all while the eye level shots help the audience become more comfortable with the characters, shaping them into more realistic people and allowing a more clear interaction between each of the characters.
