Alpena Stats Study
Cassie and I have conducted an experiment for our Probs and Stats project. We did and experiment to
see if listening to music during a test affect your scores. This experiment is relative by most of the
students in Alpena High listen to music. As a result of this experiment we were hoping that listening to
either classical or rap improves test scores.
Our population size is the students at Alpena High. Therefore, narrowing it down to AP classes in the
morning as our sample size. In this experiment we had four variables, which is advance students
(categorical), time of day (categorical), type of music (categorical) and our time interval of one minute
(quantitative). As a result of our variables a T test would be best because, we won t know the
population deviation. On the other hand, our randomization issue we decided to have a different test
for each class, as well as each day (3 days). Then each day we rotated classical, rap and no music in
each class.Meanwhile our sampling method would be a cluster sampling. ... Show more content on

At least 10 minutes was taken up of each class so we could do the experiment. One of us went to the
front and explain why we are doing it and what they were doing, while the other person passed out the
test. To keep this anonymous experiment we only had them put the date and hour, then they had to flip
over so they couldn t see the test, Once everyone had their test flipped over and they were ready we
did on the count of three to get them started on the test. Giving them a minute to the test. Then later in
class we graded all the test. Once we got all the test for the three days we got each class averages and
compare how they class did within the three days. Also compared all of the rap, all the classical and all
the no music. Likewise, the best way to organized our data was by a bar

Seneca Creation Myths
Humans have an innate need to understand how the world began and how they fit into the cosmic
pattern. Creation myths provide many of these answers and serve to establish a foundation upon which
a people can develop their world according to their expectations. For the Seneca, the genesis of their
existence started on a utopian world in the sky. The sky world is part of the Seneca s unseen world. An
argument could be made for its strong correlation to the concept of heaven found in many religions.
The sky world, similar to the Christian Garden of Eden, contained a powerful tree of life which
sustained a world teeming with life including beings. One day, the tree was uprooted and pushed
through a hole in the sky in order to create a new world ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She was also pushed into the hole so that she could populate the watery world below. Even though she
was transitioning between an unseen world and what would become the Earth, she, all the birds and
animals that aided her upon her arrival and helped create the land, and her subsequent family members
remained in the unseen world and became architects of the seen world. Eventually, the woman gave
birth to a daughter who, as a grown woman, became pregnant with twin boys after entering the water.
The boys were at odds even before their births and indeed the manner of their births would cement
their destinies. The first twin arrived in the traditional manner, but his impatient brother tore his way
out of his mother s side which resulted in her death. Her burial, though, was the fodder for nourishing
plants for the soon to be created humans of the seen world. Appropriately, the first twin was named
Good Spirit while his brother was called Bad Spirit. Good Spirit created humans and everything they
would need to survive and live in comfort. Bad Spirit looked for ways to thwart his brother and to

Combatting the Issue of Human Trafficking
Many organizations have formed to establish several resolutions for combating the issue of human
trafficking , both locally and nationally. I chose to investigate two existing social awareness
campaigns located in Ohio. The reasons I decided to explore these two organizations is because of the
obvious, that my classmates and I are in the state of Ohio but overall, it is due to the fact that this state
rank s number five in the nation for human trafficking. There are explanations behind the ranking of
Ohio for this issue. The first explanation is due to the inner city centers and country counties, which
included a big immigrant population. The second explanation is due to five main highways located
throughout Ohio. These highways make it convenient for human traffickers (Ohio State Bar
Association, 2014). The first campaign is called Second Chance, and it is located in Toledo, Ohio.
Second Chance s mission statement is To offer supportive services to women and youth affected by or
at risk for involvement in sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation, as they reclaim lives of
choice. To raise community awareness about the issues of sex trafficking and the commercial sexual
exploitation of children and to work diligently to end the exploitation and victimization of women and
youth. To advocate with women and youth throughout the country to secure and provide resources for
treatment and services for victims of sex trafficking and exploitation (Second

Human Rights Speech Analysis
Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton former First Lady of the United States, gave a phenomenal twenty
minute speech that would change the rights for woman everlastingly. The phenomenal speech is
entitled Woman s Rights are Human Rights, and was delivered to the word on September fifth,
nineteen ninety five. The speech was held at the Fourth World Conference in Beijing, China. The
phenomenal speech was an enormous milestone in the fight for women s rights around the world.
Clinton s speech was motivational, empowering, and impactful for her audience who listened to her
and for woman of every race and nationality. In fact, the speech is extremely well known over twenty
years later. Clinton s twenty minute powerful speech affected women s role in politics, domestic
violence against woman, and woman s role in the bored room. According to Jana Kasperkevic, a
digital reporter from Marketplace, based in New York, During the 104th session of US Congress,
which ran from 1995 to 1997, 50 women were elected into the 435 member House of Representatives
and nine into the 100 seat Senate (Kasperkevic). Clinton s twenty minute speech made an
extraordinary impact on woman in politics forever. Furthermore, As of January third, two thousand
seventeen, during the 114th session of congress, there are 104 woman who have been elected to
represent American voters 84 in the House and 20 in the Senate (Kasperkevic). Today, woman can
become president of the United States, politicians, or even senators. This is an extremely amazing
accomplishment considering just 100 years ago woman did not have the right to vote or voice their
opinion in politics. In 1920 woman were allowed to vote for the first time in American history. For
woman to receive the right to vote it took activist and reformers nearly 100 years to win suffrage
rights for woman (History dot com). Clinton made a positive affect for woman all around the world
because of her twenty minute speech. Additionally, she also made dreams for woman come true.
Kristin Gillibrand who is now a US senator from New York, wrote she was inspired by Clinton s
speech in 1995 and pursued her dreams of becoming a US senator (Gillibrnd). The effect of Clinton s

The Use of Chance in Oedipus vs. Chronicle of a Death...
Jillian Smith anderson IB English Period 2
4 November 2012
The Use of Chance in Chronicle of a Death Foretold versus Oedipus the King Chance can serve many
different purposes in works of literature. Whether it is to display a certain idea or to simply add to the
author s writing style, chance can have a very significant effect on a reader or an audience. In Oedipus
the King by Sophocles and Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, both writers use
chance to develop their plots. The chance events are what further the plot and eventually lead to the
main characters downfall. Chance, however, also has different purposes in the works, as Marquez uses
it as an element of his magical realist style of writing, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The chance events in both Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Oedipus the King serve to further the
plot. In Oedipus the King, Oedipus s meeting and murder of his father fulfills one half of the
prophecy. This event was necessary because causes Oedipus to be able to marry his mother, who will
have lost her husband. The play is based on causation, and the chance events are oftentimes what
cause the next event, which is why they are so vital to the plot. The shepherd s discovery of Oedipus
on the mountain side was by chance, yet it allowed Oedipus to survive and live out the prophecy he
was given. Chronicle of a Death Foretold incorporates coincidence in the same way to develop the
storyline. In the first chapter, the reader learns who killed Santiago. While the plot is already shown to
reader, the inclusion of the events with Placida Linero and Cristo Bedoya helps to develop the plot, as
the reader learns more about the odd circumstances that worked against Santiago to result in his death.
The fact that both of them could have known about the murder early enough to stop it, yet learn about
it later helps to develop the plot. Chance events in both Oedipus the King and Chronicle of a Death
Foretold serve to advance the storyline. The purpose that chance serves within both works differs as
well. In Oedipus the King, Sophocles uses chance events to portray the idea of fate and that attempts

What Is James Paul Gee Identity As An Analytical Lens For...
In the article Identity as an Analytical Lens for Research in Education James Paul Gee builds up his
thesis based on the idea of a person being identified in a certain setting, can change at every instant,
and in every context, and is controversial and never static. Gee is trying to infer the idea that the
dynamicity of one s identity is very dependent on the reaction to a certain encounter in a particular
circumstance. Gee mentioned the point that identity is ambiguous and unstable. In my opinion the
society is our identity constructor. And the variance of its element (i.e. human being) can make it
easily unstable. Every person has identity which is made up of different variables, contributed by the
society. Being the dependent

The Impact Of Shifts On Academic Patterns, Technological...
The importance of shifts in academic patterns; technological progress, and student lifestyle changes;
schools are compelled to consider new platforms for students to achieve their scholastic goals. As
cyber learning evolves, learning and engaging outside of the classroom is one of many changes we see
in education today. While technology continues to expand, it becomes evident that the development
and widespread usage of technologies allow educators to reconfigure the realm of possibilities for
learning in a networked world (Borgman et al., 2008). Community college will need to adapt to the
paradigm shift as succinctly stated by Holistic Education: A new paradigm for teaching, Making the
paradigm shift proposes new ways of thinking. Paradigms determine perceptions and possibilities for
discovery depend on the prevailing paradigm which provides the general outline and directions for our
future students (n.d.). Gunder Myran, a national leader for the past 48 years in the community college
field in general and the adult and continuing education field indicates in order to successfully compete
and attain students, the following are additional steps community colleges can take to effectively serve
students of a growing diverse group:
Review and revise policies, admission practices, and requirements.
Upgrade curricula to meet changing demographic needs.
Continuously offer training and retraining programs.

Sports Marketing By Sam Fullerton Essay
In this short assignment is will be identifying sponsorship for each of the six categories noted in ch 4,
Sports Marketing by Sam Fullerton (Sports, Entertainments, Causes, Art, Festival, and Association). I
will also Identify one of the five primary objectives of sponsorship for each category (drive sales,
improve image, create greater awareness, provide hospitality opportunities, enhance employee
morale). I will evaluate whether, these sponsors and sponsees are a good fit .And will they be
successful for the sponsor. For sports is will be looking at the NBA as the sponsee and its new food
and beverage sponsor Pepsi Co. According to an article in Fortune Magazine titled PepsiCo nabs NBA
sponsorship rights from Coca Cola by Beth Kowitt. She states, the terms or the duration are not being
disclosed, but the deal is worth significantly more than the previous deal with Coca Cola. The new
agreement also covers the WNBA, NBA Development League, and USA Basketball. Tingyi, PepsiCo
s partner in China, will be the exclusive partner of the NBA in China through its Master Kong brand
(Kowitt, B., 2015). This is a good fit. It will give exposure to PepsiCo s other brand. The NBA deal for
PepsiCo is not the usual; Mountain Dew, rather than Pepsi soda will take the headliner. PepsiCo s
Aquafina, Brisk, Doritos, and Ruffles brands will be featured in this new deal (Kowitt, B., 2015). The
primary goal of sponsorship PepsiCo is intending to accomplish is creating greater awareness.

Agricultural Biotechnology Essay
Agricultural Biotechnology Due to the greater understanding of DNA, the field of Agricultural
Biotechnology has developed rapidly over the last 30 years. Agricultural Biotechnology is a set of
tools to modify products, improve plants and animals, and make microorganism for agricultural uses.
It s being used to produce products cheaper and easy to maintain. More and more farmers and
producers used genetic engineered crops because of the price and resistances to insects and diseases.
The main aim is to meet human and environmental needs. Biotechnology is a set of tools that uses
living organisms to produce or modify a product, improve plants or animals, or develop
microorganisms for specific uses. The latest set of tool some say greatest is genetic engineering. It
allows the transfer of useful characteristics into a plant, animal, or microorganism by inserting genes
from another organism. Genetic engineering which uses molecular markers to select plants or animals
that give a desirable gene, allows segments of DNA that code genes for a specific trait to be
recombined into a new. Desirable traits producers choose is short growing seasons, increased
resistance to diseases and pests, larger seeds and fruits, nutrition, and better adaption to environmental
conditions. An example is the International Institute of Tropical Agricultural has used molecular
markers to obtain cowpea resistance to bruchid (a beetle). That s one type of genetic modification.

Partisan Divide Analysis
In modern American politics it is incredibly difficult for a President to legislate due to the fact that
Congress has become incredibly polarized. Obama and other Presidents in the past ran their
campaigns stating that they would unite divided government in order for both parties to work together
to get legislation passed. What Obama and many other Presidents have found out is that because both
parties are sticking to their ideologies the prospects for compromise has lowered and the only way to
legislate is to work within one s party. While political scientist such as Matthew J. Dickson have
suggested focusing on issues that will bring bipartisanship and going public, it is clear in the wake of
such polarization that change is needed to combat ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The idea is that if the President presents his policies to the people and gets high public approval that
puts pressure on the opposing party to compromise. While this also sounds good in theory it also has
its obstacles and may not be very effective. As Dickinson stated, there are certain factors that must be
in the President s favor in order for this strategy to work. For one thing the President must be very
popular to persuade the public. This would make this strategy difficult for Obama and most Presidents
in their second term because Presidential approval ratings decline after the first term. Having a low
approval rating makes it difficult to get public support. The other obstacle with this strategy is that the
opposing party can go public too to counter the President and make their case against the policy
proposals. While going public sounds good in theory it is a very difficult strategy which is why in the
wake of heavy polarization in Congress reform is needed to make it easier for the President and his
party to

William Allen White Rhetorical Analysis
Exposing corruption and standing up for the good of the people are often considered to be some of the
most important duties of journalists. Many believe that the purpose of the media is to provide
beneficial information to the public, even when this information is controversial.
Journalists throughout history have gone through great lengths to fight corruption and fraud in society.
These people are known as muckrakers. One prominent muckraker was William Allen
White, a newspaper editor from Kansas who fought against populism and championed progressive
ideals. White s most notable contributions and characteristics include his famous editorial, What s the

White had the option of a private office in the building, but he preferred being in close proximity to

time there would lead to him being awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1923 for his editorial, To an Anxious
Friend, which advocated for free speech (Encyclopedia Britannica). In 1947, White posthumously
received another Pulitzer for his autobiography (Find a Grave).
Writing What s the Matter with Kansas? , making his voice known in politics, recognizing the
importance of family, and working at The Emporia Gazette

Through Deaf Eyes Movie Essay
Through Deaf Eyes To be deaf is to be a part of a tiny minority in a hearing world, but it is far from
the uniform and tragic experience that most hearing people imagine . After watching the film Through
the Deaf Eyes I learned several things about the deaf culture, community, and history. Some
interesting facts that I picked up where that over 90% of deaf people have hearing parents, and a
majority of deaf parents have hearing children. Quoted by an individual in a film Deafness doesn t

A quick timeline of what I learned about the deaf history would be in the early 1800 s deaf people

Common Core Standards In Education
There are only a few things that I currently know about the common core standards. The one thing I
know is that the common core is standards for teachers across the nation to follow to ensure that every
child is getting a proper education. This also helps keep all students be taught the same things as the
students in the other parts of the country. This is very helpful for the students who move because they
will be learning nearly the same thing as that student was learning back where he or she was before

Market Regulations In Medieval Europe During The Middle Ages
As Europe grew and evolved during the Middle Ages, towns and institutions emerged, which
governed the everyday life and interactions of medieval people. Many characterize the 1,000 year
period as one of violence and chaos, but the Middle Ages was a time where the state valued and
regulated economics and trade. Medieval towns prospered economically as it regulated markets within
the town and relied heavily on trade; however, internal and external threats, including famines, the
plague, and economic declines, threatened established towns. As the population increased in towns,
markets appeared. Merchants and craftsmen and women created and sold items to the townspeople. As
a result, towns implemented regulations to ensure markets ran in accordance to the state s desires.
Furthermore, marketplace regulations were adapted and influenced overtime by guilds, Islam, and the
Black Death. First, the state controlled and monitored guilds in Byzantine towns. These guilds
consisted of merchants, craftsmen, and lawyers. However, every economic action a member of the

Gendered And Social Conventions In Persuasion By Jane Austen
Throughout Jane Austen s novel Persuasion , Austen draws attention to the gendered and social
conventions of 18th and 19th Century British society. With an emphasis on inter class relationships
and interactions, as well as the gendered constructs of the time, the reader is invited to further explore
not only a story of the longing of love, but a story unravelling the depth of dated social conventions
and the way in which they oppress and constrict those that abide by them, whether they be male or
female.
The importance of social mobility within Persuasion is evident of Austen s distaste or perhaps
dissatisfaction of the outdated and presumptuous 18th century aristocratic fuelled society. To this end,
Austen utilises dancing, a social convention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is especially shown through the development of Anne and Wentworth s rekindling of their
relationship, as Wentworth, with his increasing hope of once again loving and being loved by Anne, is
more reliant on Anne s attention than initially presented in the novel. Furthermore, his jealousy and
rivalry towards William Elliot also cause him to act in a way not in character of the typical male who
is calm and fully in control, once again perhaps suggesting that Austen intends to break social norms
and constructions or is critiquing the aristocratic systems self inflicted damage on its own dominating
sex. As such, Wentworth s confession/proposal to Anne through the letter is representative of two
important facets, the first of which is his inability to control his emotions, which the letter conveys,
however, Austen does not have Wentworth speak his mind directly, inferring that the masculinity of
men still inhibits them from true transparency with their emotions and insecurities. The second of
which is the influence or persuasion that Anne had on bringing about Wentworth s confession, again
challenging the notion of autonomy in the ideal male as dictated by the gendered stereotypes of the
time. Finally, the gendered norms presented in the novel, are challenged by

Another ethical issue is not knowing what side affects of the engineered food will do to humans in the

we leave up to the public if they want to eat GM products but at least they will know that it is a GM

The Plague Of Fast Food Restaurants

Plague to Society Plague; as defined by dictionary.com is a widespread affliction, calamity, disease or
evil. Fast food has become this plague for America, outgrowing and overrunning the United States
since the opening of Ray Kroc s first McDonalds restaurant in 1955. According to Leslie Patton,
reporter for Bloomberg Business, by 1983 6,000 McDonalds franchises covered the U.S. and for the
next two decades the restaurant has opened about 360 outlets in the U.S. every year. (Patton, Have We
Reached Peak Burger? ) This fast and steady growth has encouraged rivals like Burger King and
Wendy s to do the same; oversaturating communities with corporate giants. The takeover of fast food
franchises has had a direct relation to our health epidemic among American citizens, the decline in

abundance of fast food restaurants in communities, especially those of lower income, influence
consumer dietary choices and intensifies obesity among adolescents and adults. Obesity is a major
health concern in the United States; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that more

stroke and type 2 diabetes are the leading cause of preventable death. A study by the Retail Food

Technique to Improve Reding Skills and Reading Comprehension
TECHNIQUES TO IMPROVE READING SKILLS AND READING COMPREHENSION
Reading is an important part of learning English. This guide to how to improve your reading skills
will help you improve reading by using skills you use in your own language. In other words, one of
the best tips on improving reading is to think about how you read in your own language. Start by
thinking about how you read different documents. How do you read the newspaper? How do you read
novels? How do you read train schedules? and so on. Taking time to think about this will help give
you clues on how to read in English even if you don t understand every single word.
Ask yourself this question: Do I read every word in your own language when I am reading a schedule,

This stage is performed in conjunction with the survey process, especially when you learn the content
and start scanning the pages quickly.
As you read the title of the chapter, the chapter subtitles, special words in bold or italics, tables and
figures then at the same time you do the asking yourself. Here you perform an active process by
analyzing, synthesizing the main ideas and arguments presented author. You can create a variety of
questions such as:
I think this section should explain in advance about what is Personal Development
In my personal development skills are not only himself, but also spiritual development. However, the
author of this book seems to be more focus on personal development that is skill.
I believe that personal development will help people to be successful. But I also believe there are other
factors that accompany it, including the hand of God in it.
And so on
Notice of the questions above, a reader has made the process of active dialogue even before reading
completely done. Accordingly, readers are mentally ready to plunge into these works, including
discussion of the proposed test author with nothing has been learned and understood by the reader
before them.
It is this process that will help the reading actively. In this way, the reader not just think with what the

Greek Civil War Research Paper
The Kingdom of Greece
Following the Second World War, Greece was plunged into decades of strife and political turmoil. The
Kingdom of Greece falls somewhere in the middle of the superpower confrontation during the Cold
War. Originally, Stalin and Churchill had agreed to let Britain run a non communist Greece, yet the
nation struggled between the Western and Eastern blocs and their respective superpowers influence
[1]. This struggle originates from the German and Italian occupation of the Kingdom of Greece during
the Second World War. During this occupation, many resistance groups of different ideologies began
to emerge. Following the war, while the Greek government was still taking refuge in Egypt, the
occupational government dissolved, leaving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
More people died in the Civil War than in the occupation of the Second World War [1]. Consequently,
the nation became extremely polarized, and with the Kingdom s victory in the Civil War, many Greeks
sought refuge in communist countries. The Kingdom of Greece experienced a coup d état in the
following years, by a group of rightist and non communist officials in 1977 [2]. The latter coup was
led by George Papadopoulos, who installed a military regime in the Kingdom of Greece. When this
fell apart, a conservative government led by Constantine Karamanlis dissolve the monarchy and
legalize the KKE. Later, in 1981, the center left government of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement
allowed former DSE to return to Greece after taking refuge in other communist nations [3].
Although Greece officially aligned itself with the United States and its Western Bloc allies, the nation
was tremendously split between the influences of the Soviet Union and the United States. The lack of
a stable government in the immediate aftermath of the war led to a brutal Civil War. Furthermore,
decades of political strife between the leftist and rightist wings of society led to an increasingly
unstable nation. Greece truly was caught between the two superpowers spheres of

Examples Of Diversity In Higher Education
DeMya T. Wimberly HED59060 Diversity In Higher Ed Dr. Gore I would like to open by identifying
leadership theories that fit me the best. Honestly I believe all three fit me and I will begin with a brief
backstory to explain why. Prior to coming to the University of Toledo I spent 17.5 years working for
the Lucas County Juvenile Court specifically at the Lucas County Youth Treatment Center where our
charge was to save the taxpayers of Lucas money by lowering the amount of youth who were
committed to the Department of Youth Services in Columbus (Juvenile Prison). Our program focused

I utilized Situational Leadership depending on the task for example as I mentioned before our ultimate
goal was to return youth safely to the community. To accomplish our long term primary
responsibilities I utilized the Expressive Theory were our group well being and work as a unit was
pivotal in ultimately helping the youth assigned to our unit. We accomplished this by having weekly
Wednesday team meetings were staff, the Therapist assigned to our unit and myself as a team
reviewed the cases of the residents up for review usually 4 each week, discussed phase movements,
the unit dynamics overall and instituted individual or unit wide interventions if needed. As the unit
Supervisor I regularly met with staff at least once every other week, performed annual performance
evals, and checked on their well being often. This was a stressful field and I wanted them to know that
they, their input and contribution mattered. I continuously gave staff feedback, encouragement and
even at times appropriate disciplinary action. I often received compliments from our Administrator
about how smoothly our unit ran and how it seemed to run itself. This was due to my belief of training
staff to do my job or to become Shift Leader/Supervisors and I never felt threatened and I was very
open with my staff about theirs and my goals for them

IV Therapy Complications
Issues Intravenous fluid therapy has been used for almost 200 years and remains a fundamental part of
hospital patient care. There is always danger involved with prescribing and giving people iv fluids.
The wrong administration of IV fluids such as the incorrect volume or the incorrect type of fluid could
result in serious complications. Peripheral Intravenous Catheters (PIVCs) are a tool in the delivery of
patient care. PIVCs enable people to have therapies such as medications, fluids and nutrition to reach
patients quickly and effectively through the bloodstream. A study found a complication rate for PIVCs
in place for 96 hours to be close to 50 percent. Some of the most recognized complications of PIVCs
are phlebitis, occlusion, infiltration and extravasation and IV infection. Some of these complication
could and in the past have caused death among patients. Many complications with IV fluids are
leading up to more dangers complications. Most can be treated but they are very painful but some
complications are life threatening such as deep thrombophlebitis caused by the building of a clot in a
blood vessel. Some complications caused by IV therapy are very costly such as occlusion because
they have to replace the catheter. Also many effects caused by IV therapy cannot be noticeable until
the IV is taken off. This is very dangers because if the complication is not treated over a period of time
it could evolve into something more dangers. In this project I will describe

Data Communication
DATA COMMUNICATION
Advancements in the information technology sector have brought many benefits to the people all
around the world. Today with computer networking, we can chat, speak and see each other over a long
distance. Data communication refers to the transmission of the digital signals over a communication
channel between the transmitter and receiver computers. Communication is possible only with wired
and wireless connectivity of the computers with each other.
All the computers, in the logically and physically networks have to follow the same rules known as
Protocols such as TCP/IP, IPX/SPX and NETBEUI etc. Today, there are many computer networking
technologies such as LAN, MAN, WAN, WLAN, ISDN, ATM, Frame Relay, X.25, Bluetooth, ...

Well known communications protocols are Ethernet, a hardware and Link standard that is ubiquitous
in local area networks, and the Internet Protocol Suite, which defines a set of protocols for
internetworking, i.e. for data communication between multiple networks, as well as host to host data
transfer, and application specific data transmission formats.
Computer networking is sometimes considered a sub discipline of electrical engineering,
telecommunications, computer science, information technology or computer engineering, since it
relies upon the theoretical and practical application of these disciplines.
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet
protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists
of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope,
that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The
Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter linked hypertext
documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.
Most traditional communications media including telephone, music, film, and television are reshaped
or redefined by the Internet, giving birth to new services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
and IPTV. Newspaper, book and other print publishing are adapting

John Bowlby Attachment Theory Essay
Research suggests that infant s brain continues to develop long after birth and infant s first
relationships have long lasting effects on their later learning and development. John Bowlby s
attachment theory focuses on the idea that the bond between a child and mother, is an important part
of children s healthy emotional development in their childhood and later in life. A key point of
Bowlby s theory shows that infants go through stages when forming relationships with caregivers.
Bowlby suggests that infants that are six weeks to six eight months old, start to respond differently to
caregivers they know, then to strangers. They then start to show signs of attachment to a familiar
caregiver from this age (Berk, 2013, p. 429). This means that the relationships that form between a
caregiver and a child, is an important part of the child s development because the child can show a
preference to who they want to be with. If an infant struggles to form relationships, then they will
continue to find it hard to do so, later in life. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
McCaleb and Mikaere Wallis (2005), explain that the first few years of a child s experience has life
long implications, as the brain is set to prepare for a lifetime of experiences. This means that a child s
first years are very significant, and early childhood educators need to provide a caring, healthy and
warm environment for their development. The findings from neuroscience research also show the
importance of a stress free environment. Infants are not in a place to learn, if they are feeling stressed,
as this can have a bad effect on their brain development in the

I strongly believe that children should come with an instruction manual in different languages, after
all, even the most complicated computer system or VCR has a manual in three to four languages, or
more. Granted, sometimes we can t understand the instructions, but we have them and sometimes even
a toll free help line. Now some people would say their own parent would be the help line but not
always does that work out. Our own parents advice can be, shall I say, out dated; for example, many
would suggest to us new parents to tell our child, what we say goes, or stop that crying or I ll give you

Frankly, the whole exchange of dialogue is exhausting and I have given in more times than I d like to.
I m sure that the lack of a Parenting Manual is not the reason for school uniform codes, but in my
household uniforms certainly would make mornings easier. School uniforms have a multitude of
rewards and benefits for both the parent and child and should be implemented in all elementary
schools. The rewards and benefits far outweigh any negative connotations that opposing adults have.
These benefits include: reduced headache and stress in the morning, reduced expense of clothing,
increased focus on academics in the classroom, increased building of team spirit among classmates,
and the, for lack of a better word, non discrimination on the popularity poll. I ll begin with exploring
the morning ritual and the reward a uniform has on this process. Critics opposed to uniforms would
say the solution to the miserable morning is to lay the clothes out at night, hence avoiding such
conflicts. This idea sounds good at the outset; however, it just creates conflicts at bedtime so I haven t
seen the advantages or solution to this nighttime ritual. On the other hand, the uniform idea poses
some great alternatives; first the choices are limited, usually to a few shirts, sweaters, or sweatshirts,
and one or two pairs of pants or shorts, and

Suburban Sonnet by Gwen Harwood Essay
Poetry is an art form that has been used to express certain messages or beliefs, and can potentially
change a reader s view on a subject. Suburban Sonnet, written by Gwen Harwood has a lot of social
commentary and is speaking to you about a lot of things that it feels are important. It is looking to
make a lot of points about Australian society and the sacrifice of having children and of living a
suburban lifestyle. Gwen Harwood s Suburban Sonnet is a fourteen line poem with strong values of
urban Australia. The poem, Suburban Sonnet, idealizes the harsh realities of an Australian housewife,
creating sympathetic tones to the readers. Gwen Harwood was born in Brisbane, Queensland in 1920.
Harwood was raised in a family of strong women, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, children chatter, children caper, screamed and yawned. Personification is used to
contrast an object to the Australian housewives emotions. Seen in the line A pot boils over. As she
rushes to the stove too late, a wave of nausea overpowers, (stanza one, line four). The mood of the
poem is very dull and presents a negative connotation. Constant imagery is used to paint this theme
into the readers head, The children caper round a sprung mousetrap where a mouse lies dead. When
the soft corpse won t move they seem afraid, (stanza one, line ten). Symbolisation is also used to
counteract the miserable life of an Australian housewife. This can be seen in the line She practises a
fugue, though it can matter to no one now if she plays well or not, (stanza one, line one). This line
suggests that the woman portrayed is a musician. The poem latter reads, Once she played for
Rubinstein, who yawned, (stanza one, line nine). This suggests she was talented enough to present to
Rubenstein but didn t succeed. The children caper, round a sprung mousetrap where a mouse lies dead.
This line symbolizes the housewife. Her dreams of becoming a musician are trapped within her own
environment. This same line can also evaluate the difficulties and harshness of the urban Australian
life. Seeming sad this is something that is exciting to the children. The rhyming scheme uses irregular
couplets such as matter and chatter on different lines. This

The Negative Effects Of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
When a man or a women returns from a combat deployment overseas they come and everyone is
happy to see them, and this has been happening since the war in Iraq and Afghanistan wars started.
But what they don t realize is that that man or woman may not be so happy to be home but they don t
quite understand why. After past wars such as World War I this type of thing was called war fatigue
and they were told they were fine. But this isn t the cause in many men and women returning home
from today s wars. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can result from a number of different traumatic
events, but the intensity and duration of some people s reactions can be quite different but that also has
many factors. The negative effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is affecting families and the
effects it has on families of patients. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder isn t something new that has just
appeared it s something people have been dealing with for as long as we have understood what it
really is. When a father or a mother comes home from war, their children might not understand why
mom or dad is always angry now or why they yell so much, verbal abuse and physical abuse is
something that has become very common in people with PTSD. With this the spouse or loved one may
suffer the same or similar abuse while just trying to care for a loved one not understanding why they
may be this way. Another one of many ways PTSD is affecting family s is the divorce rates have gone

Annotated Bibliography On The Midwifery
Midwifery in rural Ghana Across the enormous continent of Africa, there are a myriad of birth
practices, customs, and traditions. From spiritual ceremonies, consumption of certain fruits, blessing
ways to having supportive birthing assistants are some of the very common and important customs
from African countries, especially Ghana. One of the oldest and most widely recognized customs is
midwifery. Midwifery is the act of assisting women and their families before, during, and after
childbirth. Moreover, some midwives also perform abortions and aid in post abortion care
(Otsea et al., 1997). Midwifery includes aiding expectant mothers in labor, food preparation for their
families while the mother is recovering from labor, breastfeeding, emotional support for new parents,
postpartum care and child care. Midwives are also called traditional birth assistants or TBAs (Nicholas
et al., 1976). Midwifery has been practiced for hundreds of years in Africa, especially Ghana. As a
result of moderate technology improvements and medical advancements, midwifery is not commonly
practiced in more developed countries in Africa. Everyone in Ghana do not engage in midwifery.
However, in communal and small villages in rural parts of Ghana midwifery is a well known and
revered custom. In most northern rural areas of Ghana, midwifery is preferred over modern birth
practices. In the rural parts of Ghana, midwives are loved and admired in their villages. Midwives are

International Organisations Encouraged International Peace...
After the First World War, there had been immense destruction and loss of lives. The world existed in
anarchy, a solution was needed to prevent another disastrous war and maintain peace in the future. The
solution was the League of Nations that would ensure that there would be no scope for bias and selfish
needs of states to expand territories. The creation of the Leagues of Nations was the first step towards
what was going to become an integral part of International Society International Organisations in the
form as we see them today. With the help of the theory of liberalism, the purpose of this paper is to
better understand how International Organisations encouraged international peace and amity. I aim to
explain how globalization has made the theory of realism almost redundant, how a liberal theoretical
approach is more significant and using this approach to understand why this view made and continues
to make International Organisations critical to peace and how they have helped in the past. The paper
will focus on the United Nations and Amnesty International as key organisations.
The definitions of keywords that will appear repeatedly in this paper and are critical for understanding
the central idea of the paper. Firstly, an International Organisation is a form of institution that refers to
a formal system of rules and objectives, a rationalized administrative instrument (Selznick 1957: 8)
and which has a formal technical and material organisation (Duverger 1972:

Television Advertising For Prescription And...
Pharmaceutical companies have been using a lot of various strategies to market their medications,
notably in a contentious and lucrative market for prescriptions and non prescription medications.
Kornfield, Donohue, Berndt, and Alexander (2013, p. 1) argued that the United States profoundly
advertised pharmaceuticals and spent at least $30 billion dollars on publicity and selling of these
products. In this written assignment I will be presenting a summary of an interesting article from
Faerber and Kreling (2013) titled: Content Analysis of False and Misleading Claims in Television
Advertising for Prescription and Nonprescription Drugs.
On the words of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (2013), marketing is defined as an administration
method, accountable for recognizing, predicting and capturing customer demands profitably.
Faerber and Kreling (2013, p. 111) conducted a content analysis examining how substantial is a
consumer targeted advertising using the television as an instrument to relay these drug information to
the public and how accurate are the claim of drug effectiveness from the truth. The investigators
gathered commercial segments containing the advertisements of prescription and non prescription
drugs from 2008 through 2010. The multimedia data was randomly selected from the Vanderbilt
Television News Archive. Three coders were trained to classify the advertisement claims, and rate the
accuracy of the data from the evidence. Again, Faerber and Kreling

Bebbington on Evangelicalism
In the late 1980 s, David Bebbington attempted to define what it meant to be an evangelical in
America. He came up with a four part definition. The definition has four criteria and they are:
biblicism, conversionism, crucicentrism, and activism. He wished to find a definition that would show
what unified different evangelical movements and denominations during his time. Bebbington s
definition can also be applied to modern or historic denominations and movements. Bebbington s
definition should fit with any church that defines itself as evangelical, but what about a modern non
denominational bible church meets that definition? Also what does Bebbington s definition say about
the pre bible belt Baptist movement in colonial America? If both a modern non denominational bible
church and a pre bible belt baptist movement meet the definition set forth by Bebbington, then they
should have some meaningful connection. However, that connection between a evangelical church and
a evangelical movement is not so clear. Bebbington s four part definition is too wide and accepting to
different interpretation to be called meaningful. Each part of his definition needs to be explained and
evaluated to see if any meaningful connection between a bible church and the Baptist movement of
early souther America have have any meaningful connection under Bebbington s definition of
evangelical. Bebbington s definition has four parts. The first part is biblicism. Biblicism is a term
which means

  • 2. Alpena Stats Study Cassie and I have conducted an experiment for our Probs and Stats project. We did and experiment to see if listening to music during a test affect your scores. This experiment is relative by most of the students in Alpena High listen to music. As a result of this experiment we were hoping that listening to either classical or rap improves test scores. Our population size is the students at Alpena High. Therefore, narrowing it down to AP classes in the morning as our sample size. In this experiment we had four variables, which is advance students (categorical), time of day (categorical), type of music (categorical) and our time interval of one minute (quantitative). As a result of our variables a T test would be best because, we won t know the population deviation. On the other hand, our randomization issue we decided to have a different test for each class, as well as each day (3 days). Then each day we rotated classical, rap and no music in each class.Meanwhile our sampling method would be a cluster sampling. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At least 10 minutes was taken up of each class so we could do the experiment. One of us went to the front and explain why we are doing it and what they were doing, while the other person passed out the test. To keep this anonymous experiment we only had them put the date and hour, then they had to flip over so they couldn t see the test, Once everyone had their test flipped over and they were ready we did on the count of three to get them started on the test. Giving them a minute to the test. Then later in class we graded all the test. Once we got all the test for the three days we got each class averages and compare how they class did within the three days. Also compared all of the rap, all the classical and all the no music. Likewise, the best way to organized our data was by a bar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Seneca Creation Myths Humans have an innate need to understand how the world began and how they fit into the cosmic pattern. Creation myths provide many of these answers and serve to establish a foundation upon which a people can develop their world according to their expectations. For the Seneca, the genesis of their existence started on a utopian world in the sky. The sky world is part of the Seneca s unseen world. An argument could be made for its strong correlation to the concept of heaven found in many religions. The sky world, similar to the Christian Garden of Eden, contained a powerful tree of life which sustained a world teeming with life including beings. One day, the tree was uprooted and pushed through a hole in the sky in order to create a new world ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She was also pushed into the hole so that she could populate the watery world below. Even though she was transitioning between an unseen world and what would become the Earth, she, all the birds and animals that aided her upon her arrival and helped create the land, and her subsequent family members remained in the unseen world and became architects of the seen world. Eventually, the woman gave birth to a daughter who, as a grown woman, became pregnant with twin boys after entering the water. The boys were at odds even before their births and indeed the manner of their births would cement their destinies. The first twin arrived in the traditional manner, but his impatient brother tore his way out of his mother s side which resulted in her death. Her burial, though, was the fodder for nourishing plants for the soon to be created humans of the seen world. Appropriately, the first twin was named Good Spirit while his brother was called Bad Spirit. Good Spirit created humans and everything they would need to survive and live in comfort. Bad Spirit looked for ways to thwart his brother and to espcecially cause strife for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Combatting the Issue of Human Trafficking Many organizations have formed to establish several resolutions for combating the issue of human trafficking , both locally and nationally. I chose to investigate two existing social awareness campaigns located in Ohio. The reasons I decided to explore these two organizations is because of the obvious, that my classmates and I are in the state of Ohio but overall, it is due to the fact that this state rank s number five in the nation for human trafficking. There are explanations behind the ranking of Ohio for this issue. The first explanation is due to the inner city centers and country counties, which included a big immigrant population. The second explanation is due to five main highways located throughout Ohio. These highways make it convenient for human traffickers (Ohio State Bar Association, 2014). The first campaign is called Second Chance, and it is located in Toledo, Ohio. Second Chance s mission statement is To offer supportive services to women and youth affected by or at risk for involvement in sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation, as they reclaim lives of choice. To raise community awareness about the issues of sex trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children and to work diligently to end the exploitation and victimization of women and youth. To advocate with women and youth throughout the country to secure and provide resources for treatment and services for victims of sex trafficking and exploitation (Second ... • 5. Human Rights Speech Analysis Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton former First Lady of the United States, gave a phenomenal twenty minute speech that would change the rights for woman everlastingly. The phenomenal speech is entitled Woman s Rights are Human Rights, and was delivered to the word on September fifth, nineteen ninety five. The speech was held at the Fourth World Conference in Beijing, China. The phenomenal speech was an enormous milestone in the fight for women s rights around the world. Clinton s speech was motivational, empowering, and impactful for her audience who listened to her and for woman of every race and nationality. In fact, the speech is extremely well known over twenty years later. Clinton s twenty minute powerful speech affected women s role in politics, domestic violence against woman, and woman s role in the bored room. According to Jana Kasperkevic, a digital reporter from Marketplace, based in New York, During the 104th session of US Congress, which ran from 1995 to 1997, 50 women were elected into the 435 member House of Representatives and nine into the 100 seat Senate (Kasperkevic). Clinton s twenty minute speech made an extraordinary impact on woman in politics forever. Furthermore, As of January third, two thousand seventeen, during the 114th session of congress, there are 104 woman who have been elected to represent American voters 84 in the House and 20 in the Senate (Kasperkevic). Today, woman can become president of the United States, politicians, or even senators. This is an extremely amazing accomplishment considering just 100 years ago woman did not have the right to vote or voice their opinion in politics. In 1920 woman were allowed to vote for the first time in American history. For woman to receive the right to vote it took activist and reformers nearly 100 years to win suffrage rights for woman (History dot com). Clinton made a positive affect for woman all around the world because of her twenty minute speech. Additionally, she also made dreams for woman come true. Kristin Gillibrand who is now a US senator from New York, wrote she was inspired by Clinton s speech in 1995 and pursued her dreams of becoming a US senator (Gillibrnd). • 6. The Use of Chance in Oedipus vs. Chronicle of a Death... Jillian Smith anderson IB English Period 2 4 November 2012 The Use of Chance in Chronicle of a Death Foretold versus Oedipus the King Chance can serve many different purposes in works of literature. Whether it is to display a certain idea or to simply add to the author s writing style, chance can have a very significant effect on a reader or an audience. In Oedipus the King by Sophocles and Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, both writers use chance to develop their plots. The chance events are what further the plot and eventually lead to the main characters downfall. Chance, however, also has different purposes in the works, as Marquez uses it as an element of his magical realist style of writing, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The chance events in both Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Oedipus the King serve to further the plot. In Oedipus the King, Oedipus s meeting and murder of his father fulfills one half of the prophecy. This event was necessary because causes Oedipus to be able to marry his mother, who will have lost her husband. The play is based on causation, and the chance events are oftentimes what cause the next event, which is why they are so vital to the plot. The shepherd s discovery of Oedipus on the mountain side was by chance, yet it allowed Oedipus to survive and live out the prophecy he was given. Chronicle of a Death Foretold incorporates coincidence in the same way to develop the storyline. In the first chapter, the reader learns who killed Santiago. While the plot is already shown to reader, the inclusion of the events with Placida Linero and Cristo Bedoya helps to develop the plot, as the reader learns more about the odd circumstances that worked against Santiago to result in his death. The fact that both of them could have known about the murder early enough to stop it, yet learn about it later helps to develop the plot. Chance events in both Oedipus the King and Chronicle of a Death Foretold serve to advance the storyline. The purpose that chance serves within both works differs as well. In Oedipus the King, Sophocles uses chance events to portray the idea of fate and that attempts to go ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the article Identity as an Analytical Lens for Research in Education James Paul Gee builds up his thesis based on the idea of a person being identified in a certain setting, can change at every instant, and in every context, and is controversial and never static. Gee is trying to infer the idea that the dynamicity of one s identity is very dependent on the reaction to a certain encounter in a particular circumstance. Gee mentioned the point that identity is ambiguous and unstable. In my opinion the society is our identity constructor. And the variance of its element (i.e. human being) can make it easily unstable. • 8. The Impact Of Shifts On Academic Patterns, Technological... The importance of shifts in academic patterns; technological progress, and student lifestyle changes; schools are compelled to consider new platforms for students to achieve their scholastic goals. As cyber learning evolves, learning and engaging outside of the classroom is one of many changes we see in education today. While technology continues to expand, it becomes evident that the development and widespread usage of technologies allow educators to reconfigure the realm of possibilities for learning in a networked world (Borgman et al., 2008). Community college will need to adapt to the paradigm shift as succinctly stated by Holistic Education: A new paradigm for teaching, Making the paradigm shift proposes new ways of thinking. Paradigms determine perceptions and possibilities for discovery depend on the prevailing paradigm which provides the general outline and directions for our future students (n.d.). Gunder Myran, a national leader for the past 48 years in the community college field in general and the adult and continuing education field indicates in order to successfully compete and attain students, the following are additional steps community colleges can take to effectively serve students of a growing diverse group: Review and revise policies, admission practices, and requirements. Tingyi, PepsiCo s partner in China, will be the exclusive partner of the NBA in China through its Master Kong brand (Kowitt, B., 2015). This is a good fit. Agricultural Biotechnology is a set of tools to modify products, improve plants and animals, and make microorganism for agricultural uses. It s being used to produce products cheaper and easy to maintain. More and more farmers and producers used genetic engineered crops because of the price and resistances to insects and diseases. Desirable traits producers choose is short growing seasons, increased resistance to diseases and pests, larger seeds and fruits, nutrition, and better adaption to environmental conditions. • 11. Partisan Divide Analysis In modern American politics it is incredibly difficult for a President to legislate due to the fact that Congress has become incredibly polarized. Obama and other Presidents in the past ran their campaigns stating that they would unite divided government in order for both parties to work together to get legislation passed. What Obama and many other Presidents have found out is that because both parties are sticking to their ideologies the prospects for compromise has lowered and the only way to legislate is to work within one s party. While political scientist such as Matthew J. Dickson have suggested focusing on issues that will bring bipartisanship and going public, it is clear in the wake of such polarization that change is needed to combat ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The idea is that if the President presents his policies to the people and gets high public approval that puts pressure on the opposing party to compromise. While this also sounds good in theory it also has its obstacles and may not be very effective. As Dickinson stated, there are certain factors that must be in the President s favor in order for this strategy to work. For one thing the President must be very popular to persuade the public. This would make this strategy difficult for Obama and most Presidents in their second term because Presidential approval ratings decline after the first term. Having a low approval rating makes it difficult to get public support. The other obstacle with this strategy is that the opposing party can go public too to counter the President and make their case against the policy proposals. While going public sounds good in theory it is a very difficult strategy which is why in the wake of heavy polarization in Congress reform is needed to make it easier for the President and his party to ... Many believe that the purpose of the media is to provide beneficial information to the public, even when this information is controversial. Journalists throughout history have gone through great lengths to fight corruption and fraud in society. These people are known as muckrakers. One prominent muckraker was William Allen White, a newspaper editor from Kansas who fought against populism and championed progressive ideals. Through Deaf Eyes Movie Essay Through Deaf Eyes To be deaf is to be a part of a tiny minority in a hearing world, but it is far from the uniform and tragic experience that most hearing people imagine . After watching the film Through the Deaf Eyes I learned several things about the deaf culture, community, and history. Some interesting facts that I picked up where that over 90% of deaf people have hearing parents, and a majority of deaf parents have hearing children. Quoted by an individual in a film Deafness doesn t make me happy or sad. It s just like being a man instead of a women. it s just something you have to deal with. Gendered And Social Conventions In Persuasion By Jane Austen Throughout Jane Austen s novel Persuasion , Austen draws attention to the gendered and social conventions of 18th and 19th Century British society. With an emphasis on inter class relationships and interactions, as well as the gendered constructs of the time, the reader is invited to further explore not only a story of the longing of love, but a story unravelling the depth of dated social conventions and the way in which they oppress and constrict those that abide by them, whether they be male or female. As such, Wentworth s confession/proposal to Anne through the letter is representative of two important facets, the first of which is his inability to control his emotions, which the letter conveys, however, Austen does not have Wentworth speak his mind directly, inferring that the masculinity of men still inhibits them from true transparency with their emotions and insecurities. John Bowlby Attachment Theory Essay Research suggests that infant s brain continues to develop long after birth and infant s first relationships have long lasting effects on their later learning and development. John Bowlby s attachment theory focuses on the idea that the bond between a child and mother, is an important part of children s healthy emotional development in their childhood and later in life. A key point of Bowlby s theory shows that infants go through stages when forming relationships with caregivers. Bowlby suggests that infants that are six weeks to six eight months old, start to respond differently to caregivers they know, then to strangers. They then start to show signs of attachment to a familiar caregiver from this age (Berk, 2013, p. 429). This means that the relationships that form between a caregiver and a child, is an important part of the child s development because the child can show a preference to who they want to be with. Midwifery includes aiding expectant mothers in labor, food preparation for their families while the mother is recovering from labor, breastfeeding, emotional support for new parents, postpartum care and child care. • 36. Television Advertising For Prescription And... Pharmaceutical companies have been using a lot of various strategies to market their medications, notably in a contentious and lucrative market for prescriptions and non prescription medications. Kornfield, Donohue, Berndt, and Alexander (2013, p. 1) argued that the United States profoundly advertised pharmaceuticals and spent at least $30 billion dollars on publicity and selling of these products. In this written assignment I will be presenting a summary of an interesting article from Faerber and Kreling (2013) titled: Content Analysis of False and Misleading Claims in Television Advertising for Prescription and Nonprescription Drugs. On the words of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (2013), marketing is defined as an administration method, accountable for recognizing, predicting and capturing customer demands profitably. The definition has four criteria and they are: biblicism, conversionism, crucicentrism, and activism. He wished to find a definition that would show what unified different evangelical movements and denominations during his time. Bebbington s definition can also be applied to modern or historic denominations and movements. Bebbington s definition should fit with any church that defines itself as evangelical, but what about a modern non denominational bible church meets that definition? Also what does Bebbington s definition say about the pre bible belt Baptist movement in colonial America? If both a modern non denominational bible church and a pre bible belt baptist movement meet the definition set forth by Bebbington, then they should have some meaningful connection. However, that connection between a evangelical church and a evangelical movement is not so clear. Bebbington s four part definition is too wide and accepting to different interpretation to be called meaningful. Each part of his definition needs to be explained and evaluated to see if any meaningful connection between a bible church and the Baptist movement of early souther America have have any meaningful connection under Bebbington s definition of evangelical. Bebbington s definition has four parts. The first part is biblicism. Biblicism is a term which means ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
