Lowering The Risks Of The Hajj

Solutions to Lowering the Risks of the Hajj s #1 Issue
Air pollution greatly impacts the Hajj. According to Homeland Security News Wire
(2014), this great risk is due to the population (3 4 million people) that experiences the 5 day journey
and it is also due to the effects that Mecca has before the Hajj (p. 1). And according to
Urton (2014), however, by 2025, 1 2 million more Muslims are predicted to take the spiritual journey.
The Hajj is a tradition is for Muslims. This spiritual journey represents one of the Five
Pillars of Islam, according to Fetini (2009), and it is the pilgrimage to Mecca. Particularly during the
Hajj, Mecca must lower its air pollution in order for residents and visitors to avoid facing the specific
health problems due to the smog and other debris in the air.
During the Hajj, people can take cars, busses, or trains, with traffic lasting up to an hour long, if they
prefer them instead of walking. The utilizations of these excess vehicles create exhaust, which
contributes to smog in the air. With the transportation on wheels, there are many environmental issues
during the Hajj in Mecca. The main one is air pollution. Contributors include vehicle exhaust, benzene
high gasoline, coolants, and sprays. Homeland Security News
Wire (2014) claimed, Air pollution is the cause of one in

Disadvantages Of Normative Beliefs
6.2 Potential Disadvantages 6.2.1 Legal issues and Insurance The decreased number of crashes and
therefore the claims thereof will possibly lead to a general reduction in insurance premiums. This
would encourage auto makers to incorporate more sophisticated autonomous systems in their cars.
However, the product liability increases on the manufacturers end would lead to delays in adoption of
the technology (James M. Anderson, Kalra et al 2016; KPMG CAR, 2012). This might in turn force
the manufacturers to offer the vehicle as a service rather than a product. In addition, a legal framework
for autonomous transport for insurance and liability has to be established (Kelly CNN, 2014). 6.2.2
Customer Acceptance The consumer willingness to pay would depend on the level of freedom they are

Jubien s Definition Of The Universe
Jubien begins his argument by defining the universe as all of the physical aspects of space. With this
as his foundation it is not possible for the Big bang to be the origin of the universe. As discussed in
lecture, the common man denotes all this physical to being related to a first cause in an infinite chain
of causes. This ideal is based on the thoughts that there was nothing before he Big Bang, and that the
event itself started everything we can receive through our senses. According to Jubien s definition of
the universe as containing all physical and material things, any physical cause could not be the origin
of the universe because it would cause two new questions to arise. What was that event s cause? If it is
even plausible, how can a physical event take place outside of the universe? Jubien would say that the
origin of the universe can be answered with a simple I don t know, because there is only so far back
causes can observably go before there is a lack of information available. Any physical cause of the
universe can be traced to another cause, and therefore cannot be the origin of the universe.

Depiction Of Beauty Has On Young Girl s Individual Self...
Current Study The purpose of this study is to investigate the depiction of beauty in animated Disney
Princess movies and consequences the portrayal of beauty has on young girl s individual self esteem.
This study includes one general hypothesis. The hypothesis states that young girls who idealize the
beauty standards of Disney Princesses will have lower self esteem than young girls who do not
idealize their standard of beauty. I expected that young girls who have the desire to mimic Disney
Princesses will have lower self esteem because the beauty standards of Disney Princess are impossible
to obtain; therefore, their perception of beauty will become extremely faltered, which will lead to a
decrease in their self esteem levels and a negative perception of their body image compared to Disney
Princesses. Young girls with higher expectations regarding beauty standards, self esteems will be
negatively impacted due to the beauty goodness stereotype presented in animated Disney films, for
Disney films portray beauty over all human attributes, which skews young girl s perception of beauty
and their overall self image. This study is similar to an experiment conducted by Bazzini et al.
In Bazzini et al. study, the researchers assessed whether children can be influenced by a single
exposure to animated Disney films that are either stereotypical in its portrayal of characters or non
stereotypical in its portrayal of the physical attractiveness stereotype, and if the physical

Jesus And The Holy Of Thorns
Jesus shed blood in a fourth place when a crown of thorns was placed on His head. Matthew 27:29
NIV tells us that a braided crown of thorns was placed on His head, and the Roman soldiers mocked
Him saying, Hail, King of the Jews! Bleeding from the thorns that were pushed into His head, Jesus
restored your peace of mind. Remember? The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, (Isaiah 53:5
KJV). The blood that Jesus shed from the crown of thorns is capable of releasing all of the strongholds
in your mind. Things that would otherwise hold you back, and keep you in confusion and weighted
down; Jesus took care of all of that before He ever got to the Cross. Praise God! You have always been
on His mind, and He knew that sometimes you were going to need Him to lead you to victory on the
battlefield of your own mind and against yourself.
The fifth place that Jesus bled from was His hands. His hands were pierced through with nails, and He
bled for your transgressions. But He was pierced for our transgressions, Isaiah 53:5 NASB. He bled
from His hands; so that you might prosper. He broke the curse from the work of your hands; so that
your labor could be blessed. This is a true blessing indeed, because we are told in Genesis 1:26 28 that
God had placed all dominion and authority into the hands of Adam and Eve. They lost their dominion
and authority to Satan. Since then, we have always had to work for our food and shelter. With the
blood covered hands of Jesus, you are able to

Political Movements Like The No Child Left Behind
Intro Political movements like the No child left behind , have in turn placed political pressures on
teachers. This is largely impart because teachers are intimately integrated into a larger political fight,
that of educational reform. When considering educational reform, teacher tenure reform becomes the
hot topic under scrutiny. According to Greenwald (2010), ...teacher tenure represents all that is wrong
with the system protecting ineffective and unprofessional teachers (p.20). However, statements like
this take a one size fits all approach, which is generally a path of ignorance. Teacher tenure was
created from a fight for First Amendment protections and freed teachers from harsh administrators,
protected teachers from principals who could simply hire and fire at their own whim (Greenwald,
2010). Schools that are located in areas with high poverty and crime are usually underfunded and good
teachers are not attracted by what they are being paid for those positions. Should teachers get special
treatment and pay, because they are educators? The recruitment efforts of hiring new teachers into bad
impoverished areas should be offset by higher salaries and combat pay to compensate for the risk of
working in that type of environment. Teacher tenure was created from a fight for First Amendment
protections and freed teachers from harsh administrators, protected teachers from principals who could
simply hire and fire at their own whim (Greenwald, 2010). Many

The Economic Theory Of The Mundell-Drinking Model
The Mundell Fleming model is an economic model introduced by Robert Mundell and Marcus
Fleming. This model is an extension of the IS LM model. The traditional IS LM model studies a
closed economy (autarky), whereas the Mundell Fleming model explains an open economy with a
small size (Mundell, 1963). The model explains the mechanism of an economy that is open to foreign
trade for goods and financial assets, and gives economists a structure to analyze macroeconomic
policies. This model describes the relationship between an economy s nominal exchange rate, interest
rate and its output in the short run. With the model, many claim that an economy cannot have an
independent monetary policy, a fixed exchange rate and free capital movement at the same time. This
theory is often called the impossible trinity or the Mundell Fleming trilemma. According to this
theory, a nation has three choices. First, it can have a fixed exchange rate for its currency with another
and let capital flow freely across borders. Second, the country can set its own monetary policy and let
capital flow freely. Third, it can have its own monetary policy and a fixed exchange rate. However, the
country cannot simultaneously have a fixed exchange rate, free flow of capital and its own monetary
policy.
There are three curves in the graph of the Mundell Fleming model. In an open economy, equilibrium is
achieved in the goods market when production is equal to the demand for goods. The
investment/saving (IS) curve represents the value of equilibrium for different interest rates. As higher
interest rates discourage production through its impact on investment, the IS curve is negatively
sloped. The supply and demand for money determine the interest rate in an economy. The liquidity
preference/money supply (LM) curve represents the relationship between money and liquidity. Since
higher income leads to stronger demand for money, interest rate is an increasing function of output
level; hence, the LM curve is positively sloped. The balance of payment (BP) curve shows the
combinations of interest rate and real income where the balance of payment is in equilibrium, which
means that net export must be equal to net capital outflows. The BP curve is usually

my life. My parents found something wrong with me that I had tried so hard to hide. At school, I
would feel it coming and left the classroom to go to the bathroom and let it pass. It got up to about
three times a week. I remember the pain, the isolation, the fear, the feeling that I was going crazy and
that I was going to die. I never knew why I couldn t just be like everyone else, why the littlest things

education in the public schools system. There are several things that I hope to accomplish by

In the speech and language section students need to ask meaning of words. This determines whether or
not the child will be involved in the learning process in a classroom setting. The student must describe
pictures and experiences. They must use appropriate verb tenses and grammar. This will ensure a core
of knowledge for the kindergarten curriculum. Also, the student must recognize simple jokes, riddles,
and absurdities. (Gisler and Eberts). The student s gross motor coordination should also be an
important factor in determining the child s readiness for kindergarten. They must be able to walk
downstairs using alternate feet, and hop on one foot; this is to check the child s balance and ability to
walk. They must jump along a six foot line with both feet. The student needs to be able to walk scissor
steps across a line. Last, but not least, student must be able to begin to skip alternating feet. These
evaluations are done in a few states nationwide. These evaluations do take place in certain districts in
the state of Mississippi and are administered by properly trained educators. This needs to become a
nationwide standard. (Williams) The next part of the evaluation should include fine motor
coordination including using scissors to cut a straight line. It seems like an easy task but as a
kindergarten teacher witnessing it first hand everyday; it is hard for students to complete this task.

Research Paper On Amelia Earhart
One day she was flying over the ocean, the next day she was gone, never to be seen again. Amelia
Earhart was a pilot and the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1937 Amelia was flying
over the Pacific Ocean when she and her plane disappeared. Because Amelia Earhart was such an
important person in American History, we need to find out what happened to her. There are quite a few
theories about what happened to Earhart. Some of these are she was a spy, gathering information
about the Japanese, or she crashed into the Pacific Ocean. One of the most widely believed theories is
Amelia Earhart s disappearance was caused by her plane crashing onto Gardner Island. There is plenty
of physical evidence proving she crashed onto the island. Also, there are experts that believe this is
what happened to her and there are radio calls from Earhart after her disappearance.
One of the biggest things proving Earhart crashed onto Gardner Island is the physical evidence found
on the island. Having artifacts on the island that belonged to Amelia or her plane proves that she was
on the island. One piece of physical evidence is that there were bones found on the island. The
morphology of the recovered bones, as far as we can tell applying contemporary forensic methods to
measurements taken at the time, appears consistent with a female of Earhart s height and ethnic origin
( Bryner 1). This quote shows that the bones could have been from Amelia Earhart. Another piece of

computers more than a mile apart. In a typical LAN configuration, one computer is designated as the
file server. It stores all of the software that controls the network, as well as the software that can be
shared by the computers attached to the network. Computers connected to the file server are called
workstations. The workstations can be less powerful than the file server, and they may have additional

Role of Ordinary Germans in the Holocaust
The role of ordinary Germans in the Holocaust is that of bystanders. The people of Germany watched
on, without protest, as the Jewish people were murdered. Small and large jobs such as engineering and
railway work contributed to the operation of the Holocaust and the murdering of Jews. The
manipulation of the German people, through racist and anti Semitic propaganda, speeches and polices
from Hitler, meant that millions of Germans backed the plans to rid the nation of Jews. The idea that
the Jews were responsible for economic, social and political issues was endorsed and it led to the idea
that their banishment would lead Germany into a brighter future. Many people did not intend on

the propaganda of the time to have refused to have carried out the orders [he] had been given Whether
or not it can account for it, this manipulation of strategic propaganda could have influenced why
Germans either became a part of the Holocaust or simply chose to ignore it.
The lack of resistance and ignorance of the ordinary German population cost many million Jewish
lives. The Nazi party s desire for popularity and support meant that if there was a protest, actions
would be taken to keep the public happy, or quiet, with minimal loss of reputation and status. In other
words, it meant that the people could win. One successful attempt of protest proved that this theory
would have worked. The Rosenstrasse Protest that occurred on the 27th of February 1943 led to the
release of several hundred Jewish men from a Gestapo headquarters. This symbolic protest
highlighted the fact that if the public were to protest, the execution of Jews could have been slowed or
even halted. Despite this, the Rosenstrasse Protest remained the only large protest against the
Holocaust throughout its entire duration. This means that the German population continued to ignore
and become passive bystanders of the genocide happening around

12 Angry Men Juror 8 Analysis
Reginald Rose s play Twelve Angry Men brings together a group of 12 Jurors in deciding the verdict
of the supposedly 18 year old killer. As the play moves forward, Juror 8 brings up a lot of good points
in explaining why the boy is not guilty. When the other Juror begins to side with Juror 8, Juror 4
stands hold on his opinion and provided some solid facts in why the boy is guilty. As the play
progresses, Juror 4 has proved himself to be a calm, independent, and an intelligent thinker. Or all the
Jurors in the play, Juror 4 is possibly one of the calmest person in the room. During the play, Juror 5
says Boy oh boy, it s really hot, huh? Pardon me, but don t you ever sweat? to Juror 4 and he replies
with, No, I don t. even though the others were sweating as their shirts are stained, he doesn t sweat at
all, even in a suit. This shows that he is very physically stable. In the play when Juror 8 demonstrates
how the old man couldn t have walked as fast as he claims, Juror 3 gets mad and causes a commotion.
Meanwhile, Juror 4 says I don t see why we have to behave like children here. further proving, unlike
most of the other jurors, is not childish and is willing to talk stuff out in an non aggressive manner.

The History of the Word Damn Essay
The word damn has a long and complicated history. How it entered the English language and
answering the questions how, when and why it has come to mean the things it does is difficult to
answer. It can be used to mean condemn or condemn specifically to hall (by God), and can be used as
mild profanity. Tracing the road damn has traveled to become both a religious term and a swear word
shows many interesting features of language and the ways in which language are used.
The word damn entered the English language from the Old French word damne r during the Middle
English period and first appeared in writing in the early 14th c. (OED s.v. damn). In Latin the word
dampnā re meant to damage, hurt or condemn, which, with the suffix ... Show more content on

So, if it is not a theological tern, then why does it only appear in religious texts? This could just be a
coincidence since there were a lot of these sort of books around and many of them have survived.
Also, while these texts are about religion and worship, they were written not written for religious
scholars but for common people, and they did not yet need a new set of theological terms in English
because scholarly work was done in Latin with Latin words (Crystal 128). English was the language
of the lower classes since the Norman invasion, but by the time Cursor Mundi was written, the French
aristocracy in England had lost their original ties to France and were beginning to speak English.
These aristocrats still used many French words for prestige, but among the lower classes, English was
seen as the right and natural language and French as the language of oppression and foreignness
(Watson 334). Cursor Mundi tries to be as English as posible, stating to its readers that it is about the
love of Englis lede, / Englis lede of Engelande (qtd. in Watson 334) and goes on to the superiority of
English over French. So we can conclude that damn was not a theological term since the first texts it
appeared in, while religious in content, are not theological works, and, in fact, the exact opposite is
true: these

Asean Essay
The Quest for ASEAN Economic Community through Consensus Building
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) began on August 8, 1967, when Indonesia,
Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, settled their differences and decided to form the group
due to the prevailing geopolitical conditions. Fresh from the debilitating effects of historical
antagonism brought upon by territorial disputes drawn by colonial division, the power vacuum left by
decolonization is quickly replaced by Cold War polarization. The need to stay neutral and insulate
them from big power rivalry becomes a necessity for the newly independent states who have grown

This landmark agreement defined the group s development and organizational initiatives from its
inception until its current ten member states configuration. ASEAN adopted the principles of
consensus decision making and flexibility, which is an indirect pledge of non aggression and good
faith. Since then, ASEAN s negotiations were carried out on the basis of accommodating every
member state s position as much as possible. There is always the use of constant consultations and
discussions until a viable consensus is reached. This seems to have worked to bolster relations
internally and somehow preserve each participant s sovereignty. It was also during this time that
ASEAN declared the group s pursuit of political stability and economic prosperity through the
ASEAN Concord. It was supported by establishing a secretariat to further consolidate its
achievements and expand cooperation in economic, social, cultural and political fields.
Asian Financial Crisis
In 1997, the group was suddenly faced by a financial crisis which brought down the economic gains of
each member state at that time to catastrophic levels, especially Indonesia and Thailand. The group
responded by pursuing an integrated economic policy and made the historic decision of transforming
the region into a single market and

united by a closed system of communication . They display traits similar in function to the

well understood by comparing it to a human body. The cells in a human body parallels
colony members; organs parallels castes; genital glands parallels reproductive castes; somatic
organs parallels worker castes; immune system parallels defensive castes; circulatory system
parallels food distribution, distribution of pheromones and chemical signals, sensory organs
parallels combined sensory organs of colony members; nervous system parallels
communication and interaction among colony members and skin and skeleton of a human

RMC employs a standard three tier distribution system where the company sells to wholesalers who in
turn sell to retailers who sell to the public. The company finds its niche in the premium and ultra
premium segments of the table wine market (Burns et al., 2001).
In January 1999, Michael Mondavi, the CEO of the RMC and son of its founder, Robert Mondavi,
announced the reorganization of the company and the layoff of 4% of the workforce. RMC had
experienced a shortfall in supplying its Woodbridge Chardonnay brand. Unhappy distributors had
begun substituting competing Chardonnay brands on retailer s shelves. Yet, some distributors
remained reluctant to carry the brand even though Woodbridge production levels returned to normal
and further reducing company sales (Thompson Strickland 2003).
During this period, the senior management was completing the process of reconfiguring RMC s future
strategies. However, there were two different views had aroused: (i) one group argued for a return to
the original vision, complaining that RMC had been so busy focusing on launching new brands and
pursuing international ventures that it had neglected its core domestic brands, which made up 90% of
revenues, and (ii) another group claimed for continued diversification through its global partnerships
in Chile and Italy and one domestic brand. Michael Mondavi was caught between the two groups

Review Of David M. Greenberg Et Al Divided People And...
Your Choice of Music Can Reveal Your Personality One s taste in music is at the top of the list when it
comes to topics that can cause a heater argument. Musical preferences are sacred to most people and
we tend to divide into small tribes over music, considering the other tribes as less sophisticated.
Interestingly, your music choices are not a random grouping your tribe isn t determined by where your
friends go. Instead, your personality and the music you like are interlinked, both influencing each
other. Three thinking groups and their musical choices A 2015 study by David M. Greenberg et al
divided people s thinking into three separate thinking styles: the empathizers, the systemizers and the
balanced. Each thinking style tended to favor different type of music, allowing the researchers to
predict what music the person likes simply by understanding their thinking style. Empathizers feel
connected to others, they have strong emotions and they base their decision making often on
emotional values. On the other hand, systemizers think more rationally. They are calm and composed
in their decision making. As you might suspect, the balanced thinkers are a mixture of both these
styles. First, the empathizers were shown to prefer mellow music low energy, sad emotions and
emotional depth. The people in this group were therefore associating with genres such as soft rock,
indie music and R B. For the systemizers, this type of music wasn t appealing. They were looking for

Setting of the Evolution of Calpurnia Tate
The Setting
Fentress, Texas Nature
The book is set in a small Texan town (Fentress) that is prone to chronic heat waves. The town is
surrounded by greenery, farms and fields. Callie Vee (Calpurnia Tate) often explores San Marcos
River. The river was separated from her house by a crescent shaped field of five acres of feral,
uncleared woods. There is a thin, clear path created by dogs, deer and other animals. There are high
bushes of sticky burrs. There are bags of webworms above the river like a canopy of oaks and high
bushes. Around Calpurnia s house there are hundreds of insects that gather around the porch
(grasshoppers, fireflies, spiders etc.).

She s very curious, intelligent and ambitious, she loves figuring out why things happen (ex. why some
grasshoppers are yellow and others green, why dogs have eyebrows, how to trick earthworms into

had developed an unbreakable bond with her grandfather (her grandfather often ignores his other
grandchildren) over nature and science. She dislikes the idea of housework, is awful at cooking,
sewing and knitting. She would like to go to university and study to be a scientist.
Walter Tate (Callie s paternal grandfather)
Walter Tate had turned over the family business (pecan fields) to his son (Albert Tate, Callie s father).
He has a long, tumbling white beard, that unlike the other men in the family he does not shave off
during the summer. He wears spectacles that shield his small, intelligent eyes. He is an avid naturalist
and scientist, and an ex commanding officer. He enjoys sitting in his laboratory experimenting with
distilling pecans into whiskey. Throughout the book he teaches Callie Vee the scientific names of all
the plants and animals they encounter, how to collect specimens of different organisms and how to
record her observations in a detailed manner. In Chapter 26 he reveals he fears he will die soon, as he
is very old. He is a man of regular and moderate habits and never

The Stoning Of Soraya M Essay
The title of the film The Stoning of Soraya M. is a prelude to the story. The title is completely relevant
to the practice of a country where stoning is seen as simply carrying out the law. The movie is set in
Iran, the year is 1986, the landscape is cold and gloomy. There are no manicured lawns or cookie
cutter houses, lining the streets with painted pavements. No, here we see bare dirt and rocks. It seems
barren and dry with a few trees. A woman covered with a Burqa is walking among the desolate streets.
The sound of a sputtering car pervades the cold stillness of the air, and we see the car stall at the
bottom of a hill. The woman with the Burqa is walking quickly down a rocky path. She seems to be
rushing, as we hear a sound that, much like the sputtering car breaks the silence of the landscape. A
black dog laps up a liquid from a torn cloth that was laying amongst the stones. The woman Shohreh
Aghdashloo, playing the role of Zahra yells as she chases away the dog from the black soaked cloth
that laid on the ground next to the serenity of a bubbling stream.
The woman cries as she picked up the remnants of the black cloth and we see bones. She takes them
lovingly in her hands as she washes them in the stream then, begins to dig what looks like a grave with
her bare hands. Her face is distraught, her hair is strewn all around her face and we realize that the
bones wrapped in the cloth was from a person. Zarah buried them in an unmarked grave near the only

Importance Of Criminal Rights
Are criminals granted too many rights? Ever since the groundbreaking Supreme Court case of Gideon
V. Wainwright in 1963, further rights have been admitted to felons. Now, criminals can conveniently
surpass the harsh rulings of the court and not be found guilty. Even though criminals should be
granted rights during trials, there have been unnecessary decisions passed giving more rights to the
accused.
Before it can be determined whether criminals are granted an excess number of rights, the rights that
the criminals are given must be examined. Felons have the right to the Writ of Habeas Corpus. Habeas
Corpus is the right for the accused to be brought in front of a judge to determine whether they are truly
guilty or not ( Habeas Corpus ). A criminal can now be held for a longer period of time until they are
proven guilty while also be granted a fair trial. Another right given to criminals is the trial by jury.
This is the most important right granted to any felon as stated in Article III of the Constitution and by
the Sixth Amendment. People accused of crimes can now be tried in front of a panel of normal
citizens. The next right given to the accused is the right against self incrimination. According to
Cornell University, self incrimination is defined as the act of implicating oneself in a crime or
exposing oneself to criminal prosecution. The Fifth Amendment of the Constitution protects a person
from being compelled to incriminate oneself. Also termed self crimination;

Project Planning For A Suitable Development Model Essay
2.1.1 PROJECT PLANNING: Project planning consists of the following important activities: 
Effort, cost, resource and project duration estimation.  Risk identification and analysis. An important
task performed during the project planning stage is the selection of a suitable development model. We
are developing E परीक्षा web site which is based on Spiral Model, because it offers a means of making
the development process more visible. Because of the cascade from one phase to another, this model is
known as Spiral Model. It is also known as System Life Cycle. 2.1.1.1 The Spiral Model: Spiral
model is a combination of iterative development process model and sequential linear development
model i.e. waterfall model with very high emphasis on risk analysis. It allows for incremental releases
of the product, or incremental refinement through each iteration around the spiral. The spiral model
has four phases. A software project repeatedly passes through these phases in iterations called Spirals .
1) IDENTIFICATION 2) DESIGN 3) CONSTRUCTOR BUILD 4) EVALUATION AND RISK
ANALYSIS 1) IDENTIFICATION : This phase starts with gathering the business requirements in the
baseline spiral. In the subsequent spirals as the product matures, identification of system requirements,
subsystem requirements and unit requirements are all done in this phase. This also includes
understanding the system requirements by continuous communication between the customer and the

Fault-Based Divorce
Is it time to move away from fault based divorce?
In this article I will be writing about whether the current divorce law needs reforming. In order to
move away from fault based divorce. If the fault based divorce was to be removed would it reduce
bitterness between the parties. With divorce enquiries reportedly at a 10 year high, pressure is growing
from family law professionals led by family law solicitors association Resolution for reform of the
existing fault based system to enable spouses to divorce within a matter of months, without the need to

you were divorced or not, and if you were, it was important to demonstrate that you were the innocent

Whitehall advisory group that backed no fault divorces in the Family Law Act 1996, but opponents
said it made breaking up too easy and the plans were scrapped by Tony Blair s Labour government.
He said it was unfortunate that the family justice system had been grafted on to an adversarial
common law structure. Thus, however inquisitorial we try to be, there are some issues of fact,

Social Media New Activism Research Paper
Social Media: The Platform for New Activism It was the third semester of my freshman year in high
school when I got the news. I was doing my homework in preparation for another dreadful Monday at
school. I was scrolling through my Instagram timeline instead of finishing my homework when my
mom asked me to cut on FOX 5 News. Now that the television was on, it gave me another excuse to
procrastinate even more. My eyes were glued to the television as reporters talked about events that
deserved no air time, when suddenly the segment began to air. The reporter said a black teen, named
Trayvon Martin had been shot and killed in Stanford, Florida by a neighborhood watch volunteer. She
said the story was still developing and information would be coming. It was relayed later that day that
the neighborhood watch volunteer followed and shot Martin because he looked suspicious and up to
no good, also known as black. I was so shocked. I mean, I knew that hate crimes against black people
existed, but I could not tell someone a case in which it had happened recently. Talk of Trayvon Martin

The Life of Queen Elizabeth I Essay
The Life of Queen Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth was born in Greenwich Palace on September 7, 1533.
She died on March 24, 1603, of natural causes. Her father was Henry VII.
His second wife, Anne Boleyn was Elizabeth s mother. King Henry wanted a son, but received a
daughter, instead, from his second wife. Before
Elizabeth s third birthday, Henry had her mother beheaded on charges of adultery and treason.
Elizabeth was brought up in a separate household at Hatfield (not known). King Henry s third wife
gave birth to a son. This boy was named
Edward. Edward was declared first in line for King Henry s throne, while
Mary (Daughter of Henry s first wife) was declared second, and Elizabeth was declared third and ...

At this time, Elizabeth s Privy council drew up a Bond of Association which pledged that its signers,
in an attempt on Elizabeth s life, would kill the assassins along with the claimant to the throne who the
attempt was made for. In the mid 1580s, it was clear that a direct military confrontation between
England and Spain was unavoidable in the near future.
Word reached London that the Spanish king, Philip II, had started to assemble together an enormous
fleet that would sail to the Netherlands, and join forces with a waiting Spanish army led by the duke of
Parma. After joining forces, this fleet would proceed to invade and probably conquer the now
protestant England.
The always conservative queen reluctantly had authorized sufficient funds to maintain a fleet of
maneuverable, well armed fighting ships, to which other ships from the merchant fleet would be
added.
In July 1588, the Invincible Armada reached the English water and the queen s ships. In one of the
most famous naval encounters of history, the queen s ships defeated the enemy fleet, which then in an
attempt to return to Spain, was all but destroyed by terrible storms.
At the time when the Spanish invasion was expected, Queen Elizabeth decided to review in person, a
detachment of soldiers assembled at Tilbury.
She was dressed in a white gown and a silver breastplate and she rode through the camp and

A Interview At An Interview
Shortly after the submission of my application, I received an email inviting me to the interview that
would be conducted in company s office in London. Overall, in my opinion, I did my best in terms of
the preparation. I researched the company s history, read about its most popular products and
familiarized myself with the recent industry and company s news (Burke and Thurgood 2007). A week
prior to the interview date I attended an interview preparation session organized by the Careers Office
which, as noted by Spears (1979), was supposed to help me feel more comfortable during the actual
interview. As a result, I had, what Bandura (1982) would call a high level of self efficacy, meaning
that I hold an opinion that I would succeed in an interview.
Turning attention to the actual interview, it was conducted face to face on company s premises and my
interviewer was a middle aged white woman. From the first seconds of the interview she had an open
body language and she maintained a good eye contact. Armstrong (2012) indicates that such behaviour
helps to establish the good rapport with the applicant and it was certainly true in my case. It was a
structured employment interview as I was asked a set of prepared questions (Levashina et al. 2014)
that explored if I possessed skills and competencies required for the job position. As the interviewer
followed the script, it led to the consistency in information received, implying more accurate selection
decision (Garcia et al. 2008).

Beta radiation is an electron with the charge of 1. Its atomic number is 1 and atomic mass is 0. It is
more penetrating than alpha radiation plus, has a less ionising power than alpha. It absorbed by thin
aluminium sheet and used to control the thickness of different material such as thickness of the paper,
plastic and aluminium. They use a detector to check if there is more or less particle being released or
absorb. If the material is thicker then it need to the material will start to absorb the particle however if
the material is too thin more beta particle will start to pass through, that s how they finds out the
thickness of the material. It is not very dangerous if it goes into our body because it usually get
through the body, however it is very dangerous if it outside the body because it can penetrate the skin
and cause damage to human cells. It is deflected by electrical and magnetic field because it has
negative charge as I said positive and negative attract to each other.
Gamma radiation has 0 charges and 0 atomic mass and atomic number. It has a very high penetrating

Alexander Hamilton: Hero of America
Bang! Alexander Hamilton s dead! Hamilton s dead! Aaron Burr shot him! But why...
Alexander Hamilton was the Secretary of the Treasury from 1789 to 1795. People know him because
his portrait is on the ten dollar bill. Some people even know that he was shot by Aaron Burr. Even so,
most people do not know much else about him and do not think his life was very interesting. Recently,
a Broadway play about Hamilton came out. It stars Lin Manuel Miranda and has been a tremendous
success. It has caused people to learn about the struggles in Hamilton s life, how he was a hero, and
what stands he took. Alexander Hamilton had a tough childhood, stood against Britain, and then as
one of the Founding Fathers of our country wrote and convinced the colonists to ratify the new United

The same study also demonstrated a statistically significant association between CIN 1 and HPV

United States are sexually active by age 24; correspondingly, the prevalence of high risk HPV peaks at
over 43% in the 20 24 age group (Vegunta, Kransdorf, Mayer, 2014). By age 30, the prevalence of
high risk HPV decreases to 30.4%, and continues to decrease as age increases. It is thought that this
age related decrease in prevalence can be attributed to a combination of factors, including, decreased
exposure, resistance to reinfections, and HPV s self limiting nature (Alves Ribeiro et al., 2015;

Nuclear Power Has Been Highly Controversial
Nuclear power has been highly controversial in the world, specifically uranium mining. Uranium
mining is an option that was presented to the world for a source of nuclear weapons, nuclear medicine,
as well as nuclear power. Uranium is a natural element, it has an average concentration of 2.8 per
million in the Earth s crust. Uranium is very abundant and is more plentiful than gold, silver, and
mercury. The half life of uranium 238 is 4.46 billion years, the half life of uranium 234 is 245,000
years, and uranium 235 has a half life of 704 million years (Uranium: Its Uses and Hazards, n.d.).
There are four common kinds of extracting uranium from the ground; open pit and underground
mining, in situ leach mining (ISL), heap leaching, and milling. While there are several forms of
mining that have proven to be affective at extracting uranium from the ground, none of the mining
types have been guaranteed to stop nuclear radiation in the area that the mining took place. Nuclear
power has gotten a bad name ever since the atomic bomb, so many people have become skeptical on
how safe the rising expansion of uranium mining is. The environmental implications that uranium
mining has caused in the past has brought up the question on if the expansion of nuclear technology is
worth the risk. Uranium is a highly radioactive element that must be handled with care when mining.
In almost all forms of mining, the ore is leached with sulfuric acid whether it is underground still or
crushed and

The Death Penalty And The Fourteenth Amendment
The death penalty to many people could be considered unconstitutional under the eighth and the
fourteenth amendment s. People fear nothing more than death itself because death is final. Execution
dates being carried out promptly with assigned dates after a fair trial would discourage almost anyone
from committing future crimes that are worthy of execution. We as a society are based on the need for
retribution and vengance. Making a wrongdoer pay the price equivalent to the price the wrongdoer
did. Sparsely carrying out executions prolongs the mental and emotional suffering of the victim s
family and friends. It cost taxpayers millions of dollars per year, more than general population to
house a death row inmates. Allowing death row inmates to sit on death row for 25 plus years is a
lugsury most dont deserve. With less than 10% of all inmates being exonorated in the past 200 years
of death penalties it is unclear why executions are not more readily carried out.
Currently, the total number of inmates that have been executed in the US is 1,434. While the total
number of inmates currently on death row is 2,943, 55 of which are female inmates.
Our desire for retribution dates back as early as the 18th Century BC. We feel the need to see the
wrongdoer have consequences for their actions. To be punished and feel the pain that their victim felt
so they can also suffer. Some people love that idea that the person who commited a crime suffers by
whatever means necessary. Knowing

Lowering The Risks Of The Hajj Running Head: SOLUTIONS TO LOWERING THE RISKS OF THE HAJJ S #1 ISSUE Solutions to Lowering the Risks of the Hajj s #1 Issue Alghafees Ebraheem University of San Francisco Solutions to Lowering the Risks of the Hajj s #1 Issue Air pollution greatly impacts the Hajj. According to Homeland Security News Wire (2014), this great risk is due to the population (3 4 million people) that experiences the 5 day journey and it is also due to the effects that Mecca has before the Hajj (p. 1). And according to Urton (2014), however, by 2025, 1 2 million more Muslims are predicted to take the spiritual journey. The Hajj is a tradition is for Muslims. This spiritual journey represents one of the Five Pillars of Islam, according to Fetini (2009), and it is the pilgrimage to Mecca. Particularly during the Hajj, Mecca must lower its air pollution in order for residents and visitors to avoid facing the specific health problems due to the smog and other debris in the air. During the Hajj, people can take cars, busses, or trains, with traffic lasting up to an hour long, if they prefer them instead of walking. The utilizations of these excess vehicles create exhaust, which contributes to smog in the air. With the transportation on wheels, there are many environmental issues during the Hajj in Mecca. • 3. Disadvantages Of Normative Beliefs 6.2 Potential Disadvantages 6.2.1 Legal issues and Insurance The decreased number of crashes and therefore the claims thereof will possibly lead to a general reduction in insurance premiums. This would encourage auto makers to incorporate more sophisticated autonomous systems in their cars. However, the product liability increases on the manufacturers end would lead to delays in adoption of the technology (James M. Anderson, Kalra et al 2016; KPMG CAR, 2012). This might in turn force the manufacturers to offer the vehicle as a service rather than a product. In addition, a legal framework for autonomous transport for insurance and liability has to be established (Kelly CNN, 2014). 6.2.2 Customer Acceptance The consumer willingness to pay would depend on the level of freedom they are able to exercise in an autonomous vehicle ... • 4. Jubien s Definition Of The Universe Jubien begins his argument by defining the universe as all of the physical aspects of space. With this as his foundation it is not possible for the Big bang to be the origin of the universe. As discussed in lecture, the common man denotes all this physical to being related to a first cause in an infinite chain of causes. This ideal is based on the thoughts that there was nothing before he Big Bang, and that the event itself started everything we can receive through our senses. According to Jubien s definition of the universe as containing all physical and material things, any physical cause could not be the origin of the universe because it would cause two new questions to arise. What was that event s cause? If it is even plausible, how can a physical event take place outside of the universe? Jubien would say that the origin of the universe can be answered with a simple I don t know, because there is only so far back causes can observably go before there is a lack of information available. Any physical cause of the universe can be traced to another cause, and therefore cannot be the origin of the universe. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Depiction Of Beauty Has On Young Girl s Individual Self... Current Study The purpose of this study is to investigate the depiction of beauty in animated Disney Princess movies and consequences the portrayal of beauty has on young girl s individual self esteem. This study includes one general hypothesis. The hypothesis states that young girls who idealize the beauty standards of Disney Princesses will have lower self esteem than young girls who do not idealize their standard of beauty. I expected that young girls who have the desire to mimic Disney Princesses will have lower self esteem because the beauty standards of Disney Princess are impossible to obtain; therefore, their perception of beauty will become extremely faltered, which will lead to a decrease in their self esteem levels and a negative perception of their body image compared to Disney Princesses. Young girls with higher expectations regarding beauty standards, self esteems will be negatively impacted due to the beauty goodness stereotype presented in animated Disney films, for Disney films portray beauty over all human attributes, which skews young girl s perception of beauty and their overall self image. This study is similar to an experiment conducted by Bazzini et al. In Bazzini et al. study, the researchers assessed whether children can be influenced by a single exposure to animated Disney films that are either stereotypical in its portrayal of characters or non stereotypical in its portrayal of the physical attractiveness stereotype, and if the physical ... • 7. Jesus And The Holy Of Thorns Jesus shed blood in a fourth place when a crown of thorns was placed on His head. Matthew 27:29 NIV tells us that a braided crown of thorns was placed on His head, and the Roman soldiers mocked Him saying, Hail, King of the Jews! Bleeding from the thorns that were pushed into His head, Jesus restored your peace of mind. Remember? The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, (Isaiah 53:5 KJV). The blood that Jesus shed from the crown of thorns is capable of releasing all of the strongholds in your mind. Things that would otherwise hold you back, and keep you in confusion and weighted down; Jesus took care of all of that before He ever got to the Cross. Praise God! You have always been on His mind, and He knew that sometimes you were going to need Him to lead you to victory on the battlefield of your own mind and against yourself. The fifth place that Jesus bled from was His hands. His hands were pierced through with nails, and He bled for your transgressions. But He was pierced for our transgressions, Isaiah 53:5 NASB. He bled from His hands; so that you might prosper. He broke the curse from the work of your hands; so that your labor could be blessed. This is a true blessing indeed, because we are told in Genesis 1:26 28 that God had placed all dominion and authority into the hands of Adam and Eve. They lost their dominion and authority to Satan. Since then, we have always had to work for our food and shelter. With the blood covered hands of Jesus, you are able to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Political Movements Like The No Child Left Behind Intro Political movements like the No child left behind , have in turn placed political pressures on teachers. This is largely impart because teachers are intimately integrated into a larger political fight, that of educational reform. When considering educational reform, teacher tenure reform becomes the hot topic under scrutiny. According to Greenwald (2010), ...teacher tenure represents all that is wrong with the system protecting ineffective and unprofessional teachers (p.20). However, statements like this take a one size fits all approach, which is generally a path of ignorance. Teacher tenure was created from a fight for First Amendment protections and freed teachers from harsh administrators, protected teachers from principals who could simply hire and fire at their own whim (Greenwald, 2010). Schools that are located in areas with high poverty and crime are usually underfunded and good teachers are not attracted by what they are being paid for those positions. Should teachers get special treatment and pay, because they are educators? The recruitment efforts of hiring new teachers into bad impoverished areas should be offset by higher salaries and combat pay to compensate for the risk of working in that type of environment. Teacher tenure was created from a fight for First Amendment protections and freed teachers from harsh administrators, protected teachers from principals who could simply hire and fire at their own whim (Greenwald, 2010). • 10. The Economic Theory Of The Mundell-Drinking Model The Mundell Fleming model is an economic model introduced by Robert Mundell and Marcus Fleming. This model is an extension of the IS LM model. The traditional IS LM model studies a closed economy (autarky), whereas the Mundell Fleming model explains an open economy with a small size (Mundell, 1963). The model explains the mechanism of an economy that is open to foreign trade for goods and financial assets, and gives economists a structure to analyze macroeconomic policies. This model describes the relationship between an economy s nominal exchange rate, interest rate and its output in the short run. With the model, many claim that an economy cannot have an independent monetary policy, a fixed exchange rate and free capital movement at the same time. This theory is often called the impossible trinity or the Mundell Fleming trilemma. According to this theory, a nation has three choices. First, it can have a fixed exchange rate for its currency with another and let capital flow freely across borders. Second, the country can set its own monetary policy and let capital flow freely. Third, it can have its own monetary policy and a fixed exchange rate. However, the country cannot simultaneously have a fixed exchange rate, free flow of capital and its own monetary policy. There are three curves in the graph of the Mundell Fleming model. In an open economy, equilibrium is achieved in the goods market when production is equal to the demand for goods. The investment/saving (IS) curve represents the value of equilibrium for different interest rates. As higher interest rates discourage production through its impact on investment, the IS curve is negatively sloped. The supply and demand for money determine the interest rate in an economy. The liquidity preference/money supply (LM) curve represents the relationship between money and liquidity. Since higher income leads to stronger demand for money, interest rate is an increasing function of output level; hence, the LM curve is positively sloped. The balance of payment (BP) curve shows the combinations of interest rate and real income where the balance of payment is in equilibrium, which means that net export must be equal to net capital outflows. The BP curve is usually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My parents found something wrong with me that I had tried so hard to hide. At school, I would feel it coming and left the classroom to go to the bathroom and let it pass. It got up to about three times a week. I remember the pain, the isolation, the fear, the feeling that I was going crazy and that I was going to die. In the speech and language section students need to ask meaning of words. This determines whether or not the child will be involved in the learning process in a classroom setting. The student must describe pictures and experiences. They must use appropriate verb tenses and grammar. This will ensure a core of knowledge for the kindergarten curriculum. Also, the student must recognize simple jokes, riddles, and absurdities. (Gisler and Eberts). The student s gross motor coordination should also be an important factor in determining the child s readiness for kindergarten. They must be able to walk downstairs using alternate feet, and hop on one foot; this is to check the child s balance and ability to walk. They must jump along a six foot line with both feet. The student needs to be able to walk scissor steps across a line. Last, but not least, student must be able to begin to skip alternating feet. These evaluations are done in a few states nationwide. These evaluations do take place in certain districts in the state of Mississippi and are administered by properly trained educators. This needs to become a nationwide standard. Amelia Earhart was a pilot and the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1937 Amelia was flying over the Pacific Ocean when she and her plane disappeared. Because Amelia Earhart was such an important person in American History, we need to find out what happened to her. There are quite a few theories about what happened to Earhart. Some of these are she was a spy, gathering information about the Japanese, or she crashed into the Pacific Ocean. One of the most widely believed theories is Amelia Earhart s disappearance was caused by her plane crashing onto Gardner Island. There is plenty of physical evidence proving she crashed onto the island. Also, there are experts that believe this is what happened to her and there are radio calls from Earhart after her disappearance. One of the biggest things proving Earhart crashed onto Gardner Island is the physical evidence found on the island. Having artifacts on the island that belonged to Amelia or her plane proves that she was on the island. One piece of physical evidence is that there were bones found on the island. The morphology of the recovered bones, as far as we can tell applying contemporary forensic methods to measurements taken at the time, appears consistent with a female of Earhart s height and ethnic origin ( Bryner 1). The people of Germany watched on, without protest, as the Jewish people were murdered. Small and large jobs such as engineering and railway work contributed to the operation of the Holocaust and the murdering of Jews. The manipulation of the German people, through racist and anti Semitic propaganda, speeches and polices from Hitler, meant that millions of Germans backed the plans to rid the nation of Jews. The idea that the Jews were responsible for economic, social and political issues was endorsed and it led to the idea that their banishment would lead Germany into a brighter future. The Nazi party s desire for popularity and support meant that if there was a protest, actions would be taken to keep the public happy, or quiet, with minimal loss of reputation and status. In other words, it meant that the people could win. One successful attempt of protest proved that this theory would have worked. The Rosenstrasse Protest that occurred on the 27th of February 1943 led to the release of several hundred Jewish men from a Gestapo headquarters. This symbolic protest highlighted the fact that if the public were to protest, the execution of Jews could have been slowed or even halted. It can be used to mean condemn or condemn specifically to hall (by God), and can be used as mild profanity. Tracing the road damn has traveled to become both a religious term and a swear word shows many interesting features of language and the ways in which language are used. The word damn entered the English language from the Old French word damne r during the Middle English period and first appeared in writing in the early 14th c. (OED s.v. damn). So, if it is not a theological tern, then why does it only appear in religious texts? This could just be a coincidence since there were a lot of these sort of books around and many of them have survived. Also, while these texts are about religion and worship, they were written not written for religious scholars but for common people, and they did not yet need a new set of theological terms in English because scholarly work was done in Latin with Latin words (Crystal 128). English was the language of the lower classes since the Norman invasion, but by the time Cursor Mundi was written, the French aristocracy in England had lost their original ties to France and were beginning to speak English. These aristocrats still used many French words for prestige, but among the lower classes, English was seen as the right and natural language and French as the language of oppression and foreignness (Watson 334). Cursor Mundi tries to be as English as posible, stating to its readers that it is about the love of Englis lede, / Englis lede of Engelande (qtd. in Watson 334) and goes on to the superiority of English over French. So we can conclude that damn was not a theological term since the first texts it appeared in, while religious in content, are not theological works, and, in fact, the exact opposite is true: these ... Your Choice of Music Can Reveal Your Personality One s taste in music is at the top of the list when it comes to topics that can cause a heater argument. Interestingly, your music choices are not a random grouping your tribe isn t determined by where your friends go. Instead, your personality and the music you like are interlinked, both influencing each other. Three thinking groups and their musical choices A 2015 study by David M. Greenberg et al divided people s thinking into three separate thinking styles: the empathizers, the systemizers and the balanced. Each thinking style tended to favor different type of music, allowing the researchers to predict what music the person likes simply by understanding their thinking style. Empathizers feel connected to others, they have strong emotions and they base their decision making often on emotional values. On the other hand, systemizers think more rationally. They are calm and composed in their decision making. As you might suspect, the balanced thinkers are a mixture of both these styles. First, the empathizers were shown to prefer mellow music low energy, sad emotions and emotional depth. Wainwright in 1963, further rights have been admitted to felons. Now, criminals can conveniently surpass the harsh rulings of the court and not be found guilty. Even though criminals should be granted rights during trials, there have been unnecessary decisions passed giving more rights to the accused. Before it can be determined whether criminals are granted an excess number of rights, the rights that the criminals are given must be examined. Felons have the right to the Writ of Habeas Corpus. Habeas Corpus is the right for the accused to be brought in front of a judge to determine whether they are truly guilty or not ( Habeas Corpus ). A criminal can now be held for a longer period of time until they are proven guilty while also be granted a fair trial. Another right given to criminals is the trial by jury. It was relayed later that day that the neighborhood watch volunteer followed and shot Martin because he looked suspicious and up to no good, also known as black. I was so shocked. I mean, I knew that hate crimes against black people existed, but I could not tell someone a case in which it had happened recently. Talk of Trayvon Martin s death spread quickly. In efforts to spread the movements message via social media, hashtags are created such as #BLM, #blacklivesmatter, #policebrutality, and the like. These hashtags are used as a way of making it easier for people to find, follow, and contribute to conversation. Today, in order for activists who use social media to spread their word, they must have a following on social media and use tools such as hashtags that will help their message spread. The question is, Will these new tools and tactics produce the change these activists want to see ? This depends on the activist and their passion for their cause without assistance of social ... • 31. The Life of Queen Elizabeth I Essay The Life of Queen Elizabeth I Queen Elizabeth was born in Greenwich Palace on September 7, 1533. She died on March 24, 1603, of natural causes. Her father was Henry VII. His second wife, Anne Boleyn was Elizabeth s mother. King Henry wanted a son, but received a daughter, instead, from his second wife. Before Elizabeth s third birthday, Henry had her mother beheaded on charges of adultery and treason. Elizabeth was brought up in a separate household at Hatfield (not known). King Henry s third wife gave birth to a son. This boy was named Edward. Edward was declared first in line for King Henry s throne, while Mary (Daughter of Henry s first wife) was declared second, and Elizabeth was declared third and ... At this time, Elizabeth s Privy council drew up a Bond of Association which pledged that its signers, in an attempt on Elizabeth s life, would kill the assassins along with the claimant to the throne who the attempt was made for. In the mid 1580s, it was clear that a direct military confrontation between England and Spain was unavoidable in the near future. Word reached London that the Spanish king, Philip II, had started to assemble together an enormous fleet that would sail to the Netherlands, and join forces with a waiting Spanish army led by the duke of Parma. After joining forces, this fleet would proceed to invade and probably conquer the now protestant England. The always conservative queen reluctantly had authorized sufficient funds to maintain a fleet of maneuverable, well armed fighting ships, to which other ships from the merchant fleet would be added. In July 1588, the Invincible Armada reached the English water and the queen s ships. In one of the most famous naval encounters of history, the queen s ships defeated the enemy fleet, which then in an attempt to return to Spain, was all but destroyed by terrible storms. At the time when the Spanish invasion was expected, Queen Elizabeth decided to review in person, a detachment of soldiers assembled at Tilbury. She was dressed in a white gown and a silver breastplate and she rode through the camp and proceeded to deliver a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. A Interview At An Interview Shortly after the submission of my application, I received an email inviting me to the interview that would be conducted in company s office in London. Overall, in my opinion, I did my best in terms of the preparation. I researched the company s history, read about its most popular products and familiarized myself with the recent industry and company s news (Burke and Thurgood 2007). A week prior to the interview date I attended an interview preparation session organized by the Careers Office which, as noted by Spears (1979), was supposed to help me feel more comfortable during the actual interview. As a result, I had, what Bandura (1982) would call a high level of self efficacy, meaning that I hold an opinion that I would succeed in an interview. Turning attention to the actual interview, it was conducted face to face on company s premises and my interviewer was a middle aged white woman. From the first seconds of the interview she had an open body language and she maintained a good eye contact. Armstrong (2012) indicates that such behaviour helps to establish the good rapport with the applicant and it was certainly true in my case. It was a structured employment interview as I was asked a set of prepared questions (Levashina et al. 2014) that explored if I possessed skills and competencies required for the job position. As the interviewer followed the script, it led to the consistency in information received, implying more accurate selection decision (Garcia et al. 2008). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Things should be including: Their range in air What they are stopped by Their penetrating and ionising powers How they are affected by electrical and magnetic fields. How they are commonly detected. Any other properties. Alpha, beta and gamma come from nuclear of an atom and they called radioactive, because it gives off radiation. These radiations absorb by different thickness of materials such as: Alpha radiation only travel few centimetre in the air, beta radiation travels tens centimetre in the air however gamma travel many meter in the air. If the substance is thicker, the more radiation it will absorbed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Beta radiation is an electron with the charge of 1. Its atomic number is 1 and atomic mass is 0. It is more penetrating than alpha radiation plus, has a less ionising power than alpha. It absorbed by thin aluminium sheet and used to control the thickness of different material such as thickness of the paper, plastic and aluminium. They use a detector to check if there is more or less particle being released or absorb. If the material is thicker then it need to the material will start to absorb the particle however if the material is too thin more beta particle will start to pass through, that s how they finds out the thickness of the material. It is not very dangerous if it goes into our body because it usually get through the body, however it is very dangerous if it outside the body because it can penetrate the skin and cause damage to human cells. It is deflected by electrical and magnetic field because it has negative charge as I said positive and negative attract to each other. Gamma radiation has 0 charges and 0 atomic mass and atomic number. It has a very high penetrating power than alpha and beta because it does not stop for many centimetres. The ionising power of gamma radiation is very low according to alpha and beta radiation. It is used to treat cancer and testing equipment; however it can be very dangerous for human health if it comes in contact with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Alexander Hamilton was the Secretary of the Treasury from 1789 to 1795. People know him because his portrait is on the ten dollar bill. Some people even know that he was shot by Aaron Burr. Even so, most people do not know much else about him and do not think his life was very interesting. Recently, a Broadway play about Hamilton came out. It stars Lin Manuel Miranda and has been a tremendous success. It has caused people to learn about the struggles in Hamilton s life, how he was a hero, and what stands he took. Alexander Hamilton had a tough childhood, stood against Britain, and then as one of the Founding Fathers of our country wrote and convinced the colonists to ratify the new United States Constitution. The same study also demonstrated a statistically significant association between CIN 1 and HPV infection, especially infection with HPV serotypes 16 and 18 (OR 2.76; 95% CI: 1.05 7.19) and (OR 3.53; 95% CI: 1.17 10.67) respectively (Alves Riberio et al., 2015). Over 90% of females in the United States are sexually active by age 24; correspondingly, the prevalence of high risk HPV peaks at over 43% in the 20 24 age group (Vegunta, Kransdorf, Mayer, 2014). By age 30, the prevalence of high risk HPV decreases to 30.4%, and continues to decrease as age increases. It is thought that this age related decrease in prevalence can be attributed to a combination of factors, including, decreased exposure, resistance to reinfections, and HPV s self limiting nature (Alves Ribeiro et al., 2015; Vegunta et al., 2014). Cumulatively, the prevention and treatment of HPV and its associated diseases are responsible for a staggering approximately 8 billion in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Nuclear Power Has Been Highly Controversial Nuclear power has been highly controversial in the world, specifically uranium mining. Uranium mining is an option that was presented to the world for a source of nuclear weapons, nuclear medicine, as well as nuclear power. Uranium is a natural element, it has an average concentration of 2.8 per million in the Earth s crust. Uranium is very abundant and is more plentiful than gold, silver, and mercury. The half life of uranium 238 is 4.46 billion years, the half life of uranium 234 is 245,000 years, and uranium 235 has a half life of 704 million years (Uranium: Its Uses and Hazards, n.d.). There are four common kinds of extracting uranium from the ground; open pit and underground mining, in situ leach mining (ISL), heap leaching, and milling. While there are several forms of mining that have proven to be affective at extracting uranium from the ground, none of the mining types have been guaranteed to stop nuclear radiation in the area that the mining took place. Nuclear power has gotten a bad name ever since the atomic bomb, so many people have become skeptical on how safe the rising expansion of uranium mining is. The environmental implications that uranium mining has caused in the past has brought up the question on if the expansion of nuclear technology is worth the risk. Uranium is a highly radioactive element that must be handled with care when mining. In almost all forms of mining, the ore is leached with sulfuric acid whether it is underground still or crushed and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. The Death Penalty And The Fourteenth Amendment The death penalty to many people could be considered unconstitutional under the eighth and the fourteenth amendment s. People fear nothing more than death itself because death is final. Execution dates being carried out promptly with assigned dates after a fair trial would discourage almost anyone from committing future crimes that are worthy of execution. We as a society are based on the need for retribution and vengance. Making a wrongdoer pay the price equivalent to the price the wrongdoer did. Sparsely carrying out executions prolongs the mental and emotional suffering of the victim s family and friends. It cost taxpayers millions of dollars per year, more than general population to house a death row inmates. Allowing death row inmates to sit on death row for 25 plus years is a lugsury most dont deserve. With less than 10% of all inmates being exonorated in the past 200 years of death penalties it is unclear why executions are not more readily carried out. Currently, the total number of inmates that have been executed in the US is 1,434. While the total number of inmates currently on death row is 2,943, 55 of which are female inmates. Our desire for retribution dates back as early as the 18th Century BC. We feel the need to see the wrongdoer have consequences for their actions. To be punished and feel the pain that their victim felt so they can also suffer. Some people love that idea that the person who commited a crime suffers by whatever means necessary. Knowing ...
