Forgiveness In Islam Essay
REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS
IN ISLAM
INTRODUCTION :
Human are eligible to be perfect . Human makes mistakes in life as they are not angel and
unwillingly commit sin which cannot be erased .
Forgiveness is a essential thought of mind in Islam . Muslims have a belief in Allah that he is so
merciful that he will forgive all of their bad deeds.
There are two type of forgiveness which is mentioned below
Allah forgiveness
Human forgiveness
Human being is in need of them of both . It is necessary for a human being to ask for his
forgiveness before his last breathes .
It is necessary in Islam to recognize your mistakes which had been commited before as for
forgiveness it is essential to pure your heart from preventing similar one.
It is necessary to follow simple steps for the forgiveness !

Once Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said,
O Allah! Make me among those who, when they commit an act of virtue , feel good, and when
they commit a mistake , they seek forgiveness .
Forgiveness from God :
The word Allah is Most Merciful are repeated many times throughout the Quran. In Islam, the
individuals who commit a sin ask for forgiveness directly from God , there is no intermediary . In
the Quran it says,
God loves those who turn unto him in repentance and He loves those who keep themselves pure .
From human being :
A lot of deeds happens which is against to the feeling of human being which leads in destruction of
others or a feel disturb act which results in enemy formation .
For forgiveness of such acts Allah says it is necessary to rectify first from the human being then to
Allah
The Prophet said,
Whoever suffers an injury and forgives (the person responsible) . God will raise his status to a high

Transport By Bicycle May Seem To Be A Thing Of The Past
Transport by bicycle may seem to be a thing of the past but benefits associated with the trend
continue to give hope to those who see it as a means of daily transport. In the United states,
majority of the population consider cycling as a means of recreation and for leisure; and so most
people don t consider bicycles as a mode of transportation. Cyclingis for everyone of all shapes,
sizes, and age. Over the years, America has learned to depend solely on cars and trucks, which
operate on fossil fuel for transportation needs. This credence generally contributes to air pollution
which has negative consequences on health (Srinivasan, O Fallon, Dearry, 2003). The elderly,
children, individuals with hypersensitive airway diseases, and even... Show more content on

Physical inactivity has been known to result in health consequences like obesity and heart
diseases. 70%of US health costs are due to obesity associated diseases (Levine, 2011). Coronary
artery disease is the most common type of heart disease estimated to killing about 385,000 people
in the America annually. Coronary Artery Disease statistically, is the most prevalent cause of death
in American for both men and women, causing 600,000 deaths annually, which comes to about 1
in every 4 deaths, males females. The estimated economic cost of Coronary artery disease in the
United States is $109 billion per annum. Which will also include costs of medications, ER
admissions and healthcare services (Cassar, Gersh, Holmes, Rihal, 2009).
Bicycling can help profit the same betterment in physical performance as other specific training
programs, and cycling at a proportionally low intensity for just 30 minutes a day and at least 3
times weekly can increase life expectancy by several years (Hendriksen, Zuiderveld, Kemper,
Bezemer, 2000). Although positive health results cannot be attributed to biking alone,
notwithstanding, the benefits of amalgamating exercise and physical activity into one s day to day
lifestyle is incontrovertible. Exercising has been linked to psychological health and happiness. A
study revealed that people who exercise have an overall happier attitude both psychologically, and
behaviorally by using

Sunspots And Radiation
Solar flares, Sunspots, and Radiation Solar flares, Sun spots, and Radiation are all vital parts of
the sun cycle. Sunspots create solar flare which gives off radiation, without one another the sun
could explode because of energy build up. Solar flares are defined as brief eruptions of highly
energized radiation from the sun, but why does this happen? Solar flares occur when magnetic
energyis built up, then rapidly released at once, during, the sun gives off generous amounts of X
and gamma rays. Strangely enough the energy of a solar flare is ten million times that of a
volcanic eruption, but only 1/10th of the energy that comes from the sun every second. There are
three stages of solar flares, first, the precursor stage where the release

Why Do Neanderthals Exist
Anthropologists of primeval and present times have been tasked to research on the Neanderthal
and find out the exact time that they lived. They argued that the first humans that had proto
Neanderthal traits existed as early as 350,000 600,000 years ago (Jordan 114). Later they
discovered that true Neanderthals appeared between 200,000 and 250,000 years ago. Nevertheless,
the exact date during which they existed has been disputed by many scientists. According to
(PaМ€aМ€bo 76), the first recognized human
fossils were discovered in 1856 a pre historic site a
long Neander Valley in Germany (hence the name Neanderthalman); this creature is suspected to
have a close resemblance to the modern man, differing in their genetic composition by just 0.12%....

According to (Lunine 204), modern humans share one gene (FOXP2) with the Neanderthals.
However, the main difference between Neanderthals and modern humans is that they had a more
robust and idiosyncratic morphological traits, especially on the cranium. (Lunine, 234).
Neanderthals had relatively shorter limbs, wider barrel shaped rib cage, with reduced chin and
relatively longer and enlarged nose. Unlike the modern man who had reduced ribcage and sizeable
nose. They were more masculine than the modern man with particularly strong arms and hands. If a
physical altercation between a Neandertal and a modern man occurred, the Neandertal would have
the ability to completely physically dominate him. Additionally, recent research shows that
Neanderthals could have had better eyesight than modern humans owing to the size of their skull
and larger eye sockets. They had a brain capacity of about 1600cm3 which is bigger than the
modern humans. Neanderthals skeletons were much stronger with robust muscles embodied on it,
and the shafts found on both the legs and the arms were highly modified to absorb stress from
bending and twisting without

The Opening Night In The Theater Play Analysis
As the lights dim in the theatre, I know that my husband is in for an interesting experience, as he
has no background knowledge (other than the quick Cole s notes version I gave in the car ride to
Grand Bend) about the iconic Broadway sensation Chicago.
Boy, was I right.
The opening night of Drayton Entertainment s Chicago at the Huron Country Playhouse had the
audience captured from the start. Lots of long legs, toned abs and barely there costumes along with
amazing musically talented ensemble definitely grab the attention of all in the theatre. This is not a
show for young children!
The darker, sultry side of life in the 1920s Chicago comes alive through edgy dancing, strong
musical numbers and humour as the cast razzle dazzles its way through the story of the two divas,
Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, who vie for the spotlight in Cook County Jail after doing away with
their cheating lovers. Both Jodi McFadden (Velma)... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His rendition of Mr. Cellophane captures the sympathy of the audience, as Amos is just pathetic.
Dean Hollin portrayed the sly lawyer Billy Flynn and made me hate how slimy and sleazy his
character was but done in such a smooth way. Valerie Boyle gets the audience going as Mama
Morton after her opening song When You re Good to Mama that had us cheering for her and her
powerful vocals.
My husband and I enjoyed some salted caramel ice cream bars during the intermission under the
new, large gazebo that has been recently built on the front lawn. It was great to overhear
conversations from other viewers about what they thought so far. Many talked about the athletic
ability of the ensemble and the vocal talents of the whole cast. Others discussed the costumes
(mostly the men) who seemed to be pleased that their wives and significant others brought them to

Challenges Facing The United States
There will be significant challenges facing the United States in the next 10 years regarding strategic
threats and global security. The three overlapping types of conflicts which will dictate future wars,
challenge government agencies, and force all branches of the Armed Forces to restructure their
formations are Wars of Silicon, Iron, and Shadow. The four U.S. Services will need to rebalance, be
adaptive, implement strategic agility, and reprioritize their programs to meet specific security
issues posed by these conflicts. Diverse adversaries will employ traditional, unconventional, and
hybrid strategies to threaten U.S. National Security. Joint Forces by 2025 will need to be leaner,
technologically superior, and expeditionary to support Combatant Commanders so; they can win in
full spectrum operations and defend U.S. national interests at home and overseas. These new and
adaptive Defense strategies will require making profound choices due to budget constraints and
Sequestration. There are significant risks associated with these choices, which will require
implementing stringent control measure to mitigate those risks. The Wars of Iron, Silicon, and
Shadow are shaping strategic interest for the U.S. at home and abroad; in addition will force
government agencies to make tough financial and strategic decision, which could significantly
influence National Military Strategy for years. The United States must design an innovative
readiness and investment strategy

Nucor Steel Case Study
There are many competitive forces that are affecting Nucor Corporation. Some of the primary
ones are the market size, number of rivals, and pace of technological change. The market size is
shrinking because of the increase in competing international steel companies. The number of rivals
in America is declining due to higher labor costs than in foreign countries. There is a very fast pace
of technology in the steelindustry and it seems that the company, that obtains the newest
technology, flourishes. This is due to the difficulty in lower costs of steel production. Better
technology is one of the only ways to decrease costs because labor is pretty much at a set cost and
all that is left is the cost of ironand making the steel. If a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It seems that the companies, who obtain these technologies, obtain a significant head start in the
industry.
Like I said before, many companies are going bankrupt and are leaving the exiting the industry.
Since steel is a commodity it leads to very volatile prices and can change quite frequently due to
demand. By looking at Exhibit 1, you can see how the average price per ton decreased form $425
per ton in 2000 to $354 per ton in 2001. This exhibit shows how many tons of steel Nucor sold
during certain years from 1970 to 2006. It is interesting to see that Nucor s net income was fairly
low during the years of 2000 2002, but increased to $1,121.5 million. This is because of Nucor s
many acquisitions during the low period. Just a few years later in 2004, the price of steel was back
up to $595 per ton.
These driving forces very easily impact the steel industry s competitive structure in a bad way.
These driving forces make it very difficult for steel companies to compete in this industry.
3)The prospects for future profitability of the U.S. steel makers are very unattractive. Unless
America can successfully combat China s enormously, inexpensive, production ability, I do not see
any American steel company surviving. China just has too big of a production ability and has the
workforce to do it cheaply. Nucor will have to expand in this industry in the United States to
survive. If the WTO

Correlation between Playing Team Sports in High School or...
I do believe that potentially, if you played team sports in high school/college that it will increase
your chances of landing that big job. People do not realize what it takes to play a team sport, it
takes team work, work ethic, mental strength, I can go on and on about what you need to be able to
succeed in a sport. Just having those skills listed above can help you prepare for the career field
you will be going in. Think about having a job, there are a lot of skills you need to possess in order
to succeed in that career field. It is much like playing a team sport; you need to be able to use those
same skills you used when you played a team sport to become successful in the work force. These
are just some of the reasons why playing a team sport will help you land that big job in the work
force.
Let s say you are a owner for a huge business, and you had to fire someone for whatever reason,
when you go to hire that new candidate, which one would you choose; a guy who is very
friendly, outgoing, great communication skills, and a great leader, or someone who is just the
opposite but may have a few of those skills. Knowing as an owner that this guy was a star on the
baseball team, and a great leader with a lot of skills required to be successful in the work force
should help you determine who to pick for this job. I would hope you would choose the guy who
played team sports over the guy who did not. I played baseball and soccer throughout all four years
of high school, and I

It reached Europe in 1347. In a few years up to 50 percent of the population died, with higher
mortality rates in urban areas. It returned every few years for centuries. Reactions differed. Some
escaped into alcohol, sex, and crime. Others, believing the Black Death to be a punishment from
God, attempted to atone for their sins through self inflicted pain. The Jews became scapegoats.
People fled, carrying the plague with them. The resulting labor shortage could benefit peasants,
although the demand for products was also reduced. When the ruling classes reduced wage rates
there were peasant revolts. The ruling classes quelled the revolts, but social upheaval continued
to plague the post plague world. Wars were also part of the crisis, notably the Hundred Years War
between England and France. In 1328 the French Capetian line ended. England s Edward III
(d.1377) claimed the French throne, but a cousin to the Capets, Philip of Valois, became king
(d.1350). War soon began. Armored knights on horseback were the backbone of medieval armies,
but English peasants using the longbow had begun to change the face of war. When the French
king was captured, a treaty was signed in 1360: France agreed to pay ransom, the English received
land in France, and Edward renounced his claim to the throne. Using guerilla tactics, the French
regained their lands, but in 1415 England s Henry V (d.1422)

Beethoven Op-2 Essay
In the first movement of Beethoven s Piano Sonata No. 1 in F Minor, op. 2, the composer draws on
a variety of stylistic strands that contributed to the evolution of the mature classical style. Through
an analysis of specific musical elements, which include references to form and style, structure,
harmony, thematic material, dynamics and textural considerations, I will show how Beethoven
adheres to the formal and stylistic conventions associated with the sonata during this period, as well
as how he asserted his own voice, creating his own Beethovenian style. Beethoven makes use of a
multitude of styles throughout the exposition, moving from style galant to Sturm und Drang and
ending in empfandsamer. The primary themein mm. 1 8 exemplifies the qualities of style galant.
Beethoven uses a two measure long motive repeatedly in the right hand and block chords in the left.
The dominant right hand melody with chordal accompaniment in the left is an indicator for style
galant. In m. 9 he begins the transition away from F minor, and arrives at A flat Major in m. 20. As
he introduces new material in mm. 15 19, Beethoven continues to use these qualities. After the
transition comes the secondary theme in m. 20. The secondary theme displays a legato lyrical
ascending pattern with chromatic points, varying drastically from the much more detached melody
in the first primary theme. The secondary theme starts at pianolike the first theme, but varies its
dynamics with forzandos on beat

Chemtrails Conspiracy Theories
Chemtrails is a conspiracy that everyone has been thinking about, and has been getting more and
more paranoid for. Conspiracy theorists have been coming up with theories ever since the late 1900
s, and are still coming up with them today. These theorists have come up with many different
theories about this conspiracy, Chemtrails, some think that they are chemicals sprayed to help the
human race survive, some say that Chemtrails are to help protect the earthfrom global warming, and
some say that they are a gel like substance that makes people ill, and the government would do this
to help with depopulation, and to test a new bioweapon for war, but it could, and most likely is just

Dr. Cole had allegedly analyzed the substance and discovered that it contained human blood cell

even more attention when the people started to report anonymous officials had arrived in town
claiming to be intelligence personnel from fort hood, Texas, the citizens said that they were
frequently visited and asked about their health. They were told not to contact any broadcasters,
which they immediately did. (Burnett 128) Another accident happened in the same year,
William Wallace from kettle falls, Washington, claimed that he was sprayed with a mist while
ploughing his fields, and fell ill. Wallace had become so sick that he lost his job, and his cat
died. Wallace apparently also tried to sell his story to CBS. The military might have conducted
these experiments, but there is no definite evidence to back up these stories. On December 8,

How Accounting Is A Profession
Accounting is a profession that seems to be growing by the day. We were told during the first class
period that employment of accountants is growing 22% from 2008 to 2018. Goes to show that
Accounting is something that everyone needs, and is the backbone of business. Throughout this
semester we have been fortunate enough to have speakers from multiple accounting professions
come talk to us about their professionand what it entails. Tony Batman stood out to me because
he shed a different light on the accounting profession and business in general. Common
perception is that people get into business just to make money. Mr. Batman said something that
will stick with me throughout my entire career that is contrary to the notion of businesses being
around solely for profit. He said that the primary purpose of business is to make people s lives
better . I had never thought of business that way, I had always perceived it as providing a service
for customers but you are actually making their lives better while providing that service. In this
essay I will discuss how things I learned in this class helped guide my future career choice.
The first big question on deciding a career in accounting that was brought up was Public
Accounting vs. Private Accounting. We discussed that Public Accountants were more of service
providers to clients; this could include audit, tax, and advisory service roles that the company
provides to their employers. Most of the speakers that came to talk to us,

The cornerstone of the SCSE, holistic advising, has played a pivotal role in creating and sustaining
mentoring relationships with students. Advisors help recruit students into the sciences via STEM
class visits at the beginning of each semester and through holistic advising, including coaching in
academic, career and professional development. SCSE staff focus on providing workshops aimed at
increasing student professional development, including the importance of networking, a tool that
many minority students are unfamiliar with (Stolle McAllister, 2011). Additionally, relationships
between advisors and faculty have enabled a multi layered approach in intervention with struggling
students. The collaborative nature of relationships between instructors and advisors has also created
a network in which students can learn of opportunities in STEM, such as undergraduate research
opportunities that advance their professional development. SCSE advisors also provide assistance
with resume building and writing statements of purpose, and provide guidance throughout the
application process for graduate education. Since its inception, the SCSE has had a specific focus
on interactive, student centered engagement strategies. In this paper we present the Student Center
for Science Engagement as a model

The advisor to the King, Polonius, exists as a very fake and superficial man. He always talks
about unimportant things, but transpires as a clever man. One point in the play where Hamlet
and Polonius are talking, Hamlet puts on a huge antic disposition, making Polonius not positive
that Hamlet assures insanity, so he whispers to himself Though this be madness, yet there be
method in t. (II.ii.223 224). He discusses how Hamlet tells Polonius how old he truly looks.
Polonius takes much offence to this, but realizes that Hamlet isn t entirely crazy, he kind of
thinks he puts on a show for those around him. Being harsh, lying, invertebrates, Polonius and
the King decide to hide away many times during the play to spy on Hamlet. Once again, they
were almost seen by Hamlet right before he was questioning life. Polonius talks to the king
saying with devotion s visage/ And Pious action we do sugar o er/ The devil himself (III.i.53 55)

The Short Story The Birthmark
Bullying is defined as the mistreatment of others, through the abuse of power. The various forms
bullying can take are, physical, verbal and mental abuse. The Short Story The Birthmark written in
1843, implicates the harsh realities of verbal and mental abuse. In 1843, society was male
dominated, as females were continually objectified and seen as unimportant. Aylmer abuses this era
s maledominance to tyrannize his wife, Georgiana s, birthmark. At first, she is hesitant as she and
other males see no problem with the scar. As an audience we the strength of being the ideal wife

through verbal ridicule, and harsh convulsions. Her husband tenderly kissed her cheek her right

the extremities at which he is revolted by the mark she bares, going as far as avoidance.
Moreover, his words and actions display a visible impact upon Georgina, influencing her to take
action to remove the scar. It portrays the mental effects of bullyingon an individual. Bullying is a

Mccarthyism Research Paper
According to History.com, on the Joseph R. McCarthy webpage more than 2000 government
employees lost their job as a result of McCarthy s investigation. McCarthy s accusations
heightened the political tensions of the time known as McCarthyism. McCarthyism started on
February 9, 1950 because McCarthy made McCarthyism which affected a lot of people. First this
is what happened with McCarthy s early years. McCarthy was born on November 14, 1908 in
Grand chute, WI. McCarthy attended Marquette University in Milwaukee. McCarthy earned his
law degree in 1935. McCarthy later became senator in 1946. He was also the youngest member of
the us senate. Throughout the 1940 s and 1950 s America was overwhelmed with the threat of
communism growing in Europe and China. In 1950 McCarthy gave a speech that propelled him
into the material spotlight. Also in 1950 congress passed the McCarran Internal Security act. In
1953 he married his wife Jean Fraser Kerr Minetti. They had an adopted child named Tierney
Elizabeth. Also in 1953 McCarthy began his second term of senator. McCarthy was reelected in
1952 and became chairman of the Senate s Committee on Government Operations, where he
occupied the spotlight for two years with his anti communist investigations and questioning of
suspected officials. McCarthy s charges led to testimony before the Senate Committee on Foreign
Relations, but he was unable to substantiate any of his claims against a single member of any
government department.Despite this setback, McCarthy s popularity nevertheless continued to rise,
as his claims had struck a nerve with an American public tired of the Korean War and concerned
with communist activity in China and Eastern Europe. Undaunted by his testimonial

The Middle Ages or the Dark Ages Essay
The Middle Ages
Imagine having to bury your own children. How awful would that be? The Middle Ages were a
brutal time that included the bubonic plague, many wars and other horrible things. This period is
considered to be one of religion and the Catholic Church, but this was overshadowed by chaos and
confusion. Although the Middle Agesis often known as the age of faith, a more appropriate title
for the time period would be The Dark Ages because of the black death, wars and the collapse of
government.
The Black Death caused intense suffering and many problems across Europe. According to the
book, The Black Plague the black death started when a twenty five year old man who skinned a

As you can see the Black Death had a devastating effect on Europe, but its damaging effect was
multiplied by the wars.
Wars, attacks and invasions were common during the Middle Ages. The early period had seen
the fall of the Roman Empire and this must have contributed to a destabilizing effect. For
example, the Turks and Arabs attacked and conquered the people living in Romania, also known
as the Byzantine Empire. As stated by Pope Urban II, They have killed and captured many, and
have destroyed the churches and devastated the empire (Doc 9). As this quote shows the Turks and
Arabs completely destroyed the empire. Also, in 842 there was a great slaughter in England that
killed many people. as stated by the Anglo Saxon Chronicle, 842 in this year there was a great
slaughter in London and Quentavic and in Rochester (Doc 3). As this quote shows, things seem
chaotic, out of control and very unsafe during the middle ages. These wars, attacks and invasions
caused mayhem but the situation only got worse when the system of government was eroded.
Finally, the system of government crashed. Trade stopped and a lot of peasants abandoned their
fields. It got so bad that people started to take refuge in the mountains. As stated by Frantz Funck
Brentano, The people have gone to cower in the depths of the forest or in inaccessible regions, or
have taken refuge in high mountains. Society has no longer any government (Doc 1). As this

Most software projects are large and written by many programmers. Employing Structured
Programming provides strict guidelines on coding practices. These guidelines are designed to
decrease development time, improve readability, and increase maintainability. There are three
components of structured programming: Control Structures, Subroutines, and Blocks (13).
Control Structures are further broken down into Sequences, Selections, and Iterations.
Sequences are lines of code that are executed in a specific order. Selections are only executed
when the program is in a certain state, and Iterations are loops that are executed until a certain
condition is met. Both Subroutines and Blocks are units of code that are executed together.
Blocks have specific syntax in order to group the lines of code together and are only present in
some languages. They are a way to group executable code in order to make sense to the reader and
clearly define sections and functionality of the code. The grouping is motivated by the flow of

The National Socialist Party And The Downfall Of The...
From the beginning of the National Socialist Party s rise to power to the downfall of the
conquering Nazi regime, the ideology of a racially and biologically superior Germany was a large
motivating force for the actions taken by the regime s leaders and its people. National Socialist
supporters saw the fictitious Aryan raceas the pure, master race of Germany, while minority races
and religions, namely Jews, as well as any subculture that did not follow Nazi ideology or social
norms, were deemed as inferior sub humans. Despite the connection of race superiority between
Aryan men and women, however, women, somewhat similarly to racial minorities, were
perceived as submissive, lesser humans to the Nazi political leaders when compared to the
supposedly influential and flawless Aryan men. Men, according to Nazi ideology, are who make
history and will devote [their] powers towards the victory of Germany and the domination of the
Aryan race over Europe. Yet, for the Aryan race to successfully rule Europe, a new and large
generation of pure Aryan Germans must come into fruition, thus the need for Aryan women s
compliance in bearing many children was essential.
Great importance was placed on the preservation of traditional gender roles, specifically the role as
a mother, and the separation and segregation of the worlds of men and women. Women were
continuously told that they are biologically different from men to rationalize why their worlds,
careers, and activities should

Pre-literacy and Modern Vestiges
Pre literacy and Modern Vestiges
For many years, the conventions and existence of epic poetry from the pre literate age were
explained as repositories for information. A well known story, usually involving a hero that
embodied the virtues of the society who told the story, engages in battles, quests, etc. As the epic is
spoken to an audience, the hero s actions and the way they are described impart the audience with
information and teachings. The information the listeners received is thought by some to be
analogous to a modern day textbook lesson, in which students learn mathematics, grammar, and
law, all by the written word. So is the contention of Homeric scholar Eric A. Havelock. As Hobart
and Schiffman state in Orality and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The specific words sung are more attuned to the metrical nature of the music than they are apt
tools for imparting the singer with specific knowledge about a single battle. The Star Spangled
Banner is an example of modern commemoration. If we were to read it as it was originally
written, as a poem, then we would probably think of it as a series of images describing a naval
assault on an American fort, and as a singular, historical event. The poem s lines would become
information. Yet in song form this is not the case. The point of the song is not for each individual
to remember a certain night in American history; the point is for a group of singers to remember
the notion of a nation, more specifically, the United States.
Hobart and Schiffman theorize that each oral presentation of the Iliad was a different for its
audiences as the situations in which we might hear the national anthem. For instance, we sing the
national anthem at baseball games, but we also heard it after the World Trade Center was attacked
on September 11, 2001; besides being group events, these cases have little in common. The type of
memory that we use when sing the song together is the commemorative type.
Another example describing the differences in the concept of memory that Hobart and Schiffman
refer to can be found in computers. Memory on a computer describes how many tasks a computer

An initial new hire and employee ethics training has to be develop and administered. Also on going
ethics refresher training for use throughout the employees career with Company Q will need to be
incorporated in the program. Systems will be developed and put in place to monitor, audit, and
report ethics violations. A time line to re evaluate these programs and their effectiveness towards
meeting the companies social responsibility goals will be established. Based on the evaluation a
revision or revamp of the program if necessary will be initiated. The ethics program needs to be
reviewed and understood by all employees and expectation for compliance very clear. This can
be accomplish by tying compliance in some form to employees and leadership individual
performance goals. Shareholders all the way down to entry level employees will benefit from the

Ancient Egypt Geography
1.Give the geographical location of ancient Egypt from the general to the specifics of north, south,

Ans: The geography of Ancient Egyptian was an interesting concept from the perspective of the
ancient Egyptians themselves. They believed their country was divided into two distinct
geographical sections, the black land known as the fertile banks of the river Nile and the red land
which is known as the barren desert that covered the rest of the country.
Ancient Egypt was in North Eastern Africa, which were formed and flourished along the lower

Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are the three main column styles developed by the ancient
Greeks. These column styles still are used in buildings today. Doric is the simplest Greek
column. The column is plain, and it has no base. Doric columns often had statues of gods or
heroes on top of them. Ionic is taller than the Doric, and its surface has carved lines from top to
bottom. The base of an Ionic column looks like a stack of rings, and the capital on top of the
column looks like a giant scroll. Corinthian, like Ionic, has carved lines from top to bottom on its
surface and a base that looks like a stack of rings. The capital of Corinthian columns, however, has
flowers and leaves below a small scroll, making Corinthian columns the most decorative of all the
Greek column types. Doric is the shortest of the Greek columns. The height of a Doric column is
five and a half times its width. The height of an Ionic column is nine times the width of the column.
The height of a Corinthian column is 10 times its width, making it the tallest of the Greek columns.
The Parthenon in Athens, Greece, is the most famous building with Doric columns. The Temple of
Athens on the Acropolis is the most famous Ionic building. The Temple of the Sybil in Rome is a

Mount Saint Helens is a volcano located in southwestern Washington. It is 8,363 feet tall.
Geologists say that Mount St. (Saint) Helens is a stratovolcano, also known as a composite
volcano. Stratovolcano is a volcano that is built upward because of layers of hardened volcanic
ash, lava, and other volcanic debris. These kinds of volcanoes are distinguished by their steep
sides. They often erupt extremely explosively, putting people and properties nearby at risk.
The present day name, Mount Saint Helens, was received in 1792 by a man named George
Vancouver. He was captain of the British Royal Navy, at the time. The name was given in honor of
the British Ambassador of Spain, Alleyne Fitzherbert, who had the title Baron St. Helens. Three...

II.ERUPTIONS
Many recorded and known eruptions of Mt St Helens dates all the way back to the 19th century.
Early settlers and some Indians staying in the local area observed infrequent eruptions. Mount Saint
Helens was more active than expected throughout a 26 year interval from 1831 1857. Scientists
believe that it may have erupted a little over a century before that, in 1800. After that possible
eruption there was no activity until 1831. After the eruption in 1857, Mt Saint Helens only gave off
little steam outbreaks; after that, nothing more had occurred. The little steam outbreaks had
occurred in 1898, 1903, and 1921. Due to the fact that no activity had happened for 123 years, the
predominance of the residents in the 20th century described Mt St Helens not as a hazardous threat,
but as a beautiful, calm mountain.
The most previous, recorded eruption was happened on May 18, 1980. At 12:36 pm, Mount Saint
Helens began erupting steam and ash about 6,000 ft. (feet) into the air, above the volcano. The
actual explosion, releasing lava and ash, produced a 250 ft. (foot) wide crater. About a month
afterwards, a second moderately bigger crater formed. The two large craters combined together to
create one colossal crater in the volcano.
III.EFFECTS OF THE EXPLOSION
The lethal eruption killed 57 people, including geologist David Johnson, due to ash fall, thermal
injuries, and agony. Traffic accidents during the explosion killed 4 people.

Shinto Religion Essay
Shinto is the oldest religion in Japan. In this religion, members worship deceased family and
various gods that represent nature. Shinto differs from most of the other major religions since it
does not have founder, prophets, nor does it have a major text which outlines its principal beliefs.
Shinto s longevity is due to its flexibility to adapt and become interwoven with the Japanese
culture. In fact, much of what the Japanese people highly value in a person s character comes from
Shintos key concepts. Some of the Shinto s key concepts are the importance of purity, physical well
being, harmony, procreation and fertility, family and ancestral solidarity, subordination of the
individual to the group, and the reverence of nature. They also believe that all things have the

My Love Song
It is incredible that you can make such a jazzy and fun song and put a dark and depressing twist
on it by just controlling the lyrics. I love all kind of music and when I mean all kind, I really
mean all kind. The reason for why I listen to a song can vary depending on the situation, mood, etc.
For this particular song, I was introduced to this song by my friend showing me the song while we
were just hanging out and she thoughtthat I would love the song. And the thingis that I did love the
song and decided to put the song on repeat for the rest of the week. At first, I enjoyed it for the
beat and the overall tone of the song. One random day, it was completely silence, and all I was
doing was riding the bus to go to school. In that moment, my brain was only focused on the
lyrics, and noticed that this song lyrically does not match the tone that the musician created. The
song was created by the band, Foster the People , and the song was called Pumped Up Kicks .
To summarize the song, it is about a child named Robert that wants to cause violence towards his
classmates and peers in a school setting. When I would listen to this song, it would usually be
because I wanted to listen to something that would boost my mood, or when I m with friends
and need a nice background song to play. I wish I was able to play you the first 20 seconds of the
song for you can come up with your own judgment about how the song makes you feel. For then

Technology And Its Effect On Human Behavior
There are processes that people cannot help but do, examples include reading, breathing, and
hearing, among others. When those automatic processes cannot be shut down or overcome in the
face of an important task and disrupt people s performance on that task, it is called interference. In
this paper, we argue that perceiving and evaluating size is automatic; but determining valueis not
and may thus receive interference from size judgments. The original research on interference was
done by Stroop (1935), where he coined the term Stroop Effect , which referred to an automatic
process interfering with the ability to complete another task. In his experiment, participants were

This not only tested eye fixation for learning about attention but also a kind of Stroop effect that
pitted the automatic process of number recognition against choosing the amount of characters.
Along with eye fixation, the Stroop effect can be used in studies that research children s learning
and associated neural activity. Recent work has evaluated how children process number size
interference tasks (Kaufmann et al., 2006). These number size interference tasks involved a test
similar to Crespo et al. s (2009), but instead of comparing numbers with their amount, this study

Walter Benjamin Essay
Walter Benjamin looks into the shift in perception and its affects at the beginning of film and
photography in the twentieth century. He writes about how a sense changes within humanity s
way of looking at visual works of art. Having its differences now and its consequences remain to
be determined. Benjamin attempts to underline something exact about the modern age and of the
effects of modernity on the work of art in particular. (Benjamin, 222) Film and photography

reproduction of art it s self. So in turn what leads me to believe he felt if a degree of authenticity

The act of reaching for a lighter or a spoon is familiar routine, yet we hardly know what really
goes on between hand and metal, not to mention how this fluctuates with our moods. Here the
camera intervenes with the resources of its lowerings and liftings, its interruptions and
isolations, its extensions and accelerations, its enlargements and reductions. The camera
introduces us to unconscious optics as does psychoanalysis to unconscious impulses (Benjamin,
237). The way he views the play on aura, authenticity, and uniqueness of art is fundamentally
associated to that of their insertion in a traditional role. Reproduced art is completely
dissociated from the small circle of tradition. Shedding light to the positive side of breaking
tradition helps to bring works of art into different realms of thought becoming appealing to
different types of viewers, enabling the work of art to be disconnected from its pass uses and
brought back with different appeal and outlook. For a very millennial example, Memes, some
memes take 18th century paintings like the self portraits of Joseph Ducreux. Taking art such as
this and basically mocking still makes it visible to certain people who might not of had interest or
availability to see the man behind the words. This would obviously be an issue to Walter Benjamin
but it begs to ask the question on weather he believed art was only meant for the upper class

and to clear up any misunderstanding about the drug.
Cocaine is both a central nervous system stimulant and an anesthetic. It is found in the leaves of the
coca plant. The traditional method of coca use is to chew the leaves, producing a mild stimulation.
Outside of South America it is generally used in it s more refined and extracted forms, either
powder cocaine, or freebase cocaine and makes a much stronger effect than chewing the leaves. The

It is sucked on rather than chewed. It is still a common practice for a mother to introduce her
young to the coca experience by preparing the wad of leaves in her mouth and then transferring it
to the mouth of her child. In this way the proper amount of lime will be present in the first wad
of leaves the child uses, which ensures that the first experience with coca will be a positive one.
Cocaine was first extracted from coca in the 19th cent. and was at first hailed as a miracle drug.
After all, it was used for a lot of things such as in dentistry.
Most coca is grown in Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia. The farmers, for whom it is a relatively well
paying crop, harvest and dry the leaves, which are then processed into coca paste. Cocaine base
is extracted from the paste in informal laboratories, usually in Peru or Bolivia. Further processing
continues in Colombia, where the white powder, cocaine hydrochloride, is produced for export.
Once in the United States, the cocaine is cut (diluted) with ingredients such as lactose, and sold
or further processed into crack. Drug dealers make a lot of money off of Cocaine. The reason why
this is, is because in South America, it s very cheap for the stuff while in North America, the price
shoots up quite a bit.
Drugs can affect the body in a variety of ways, causing changes in the brain, the nervous system,
and the synapses between nerves. Stimulants in particular, increase the release of

Voting In Democracy
It is the very early stages of the change of human freedom in business. Human freedom provides
benefits to businesses as much as the governments. While there are economic benefits to very large
organisations, there are human benefits to small organisations. Another point is that information
technology has reduced the costs significantly which benefits all the organisations.
There is a question of who makes the decision. It is said that it should be done by the states,
however it is also said that some states are more equal than others. For example, G8 is consired as
the most equals. Moreover, there is also G7. The powerful states have institutions such as IMF or
WTO.
Voting is one of the key acts of democracyand also a mandatory action in some countries. While I
agree that voting is an important action, I believe this should be an optional right.
Democracy means the freedom of acts and voting is just one act to be performed. Hence, it is clear
that to make the voting compulsory contradicts with the notion of democracy. Although the
propents of mandatory voting claim that voting runs the democracy, it is often forgotten that giving
freedom should not be underestimated. Consequently, in that manner, freedom also means the
freedom of voting.
On the other hand, there can be drawed some conclusions if voting is made compulsory in a
democratic country. First of all, this puts pressure on people to vote and it can cause serious
problems unless they are sure to what or whome to

Analysis Of Dover Beach By Matthew Arnold
(Not) Alone in the Sea of Faith Published in 1867, Matthew Arnold s Dover Beach is short lyrical
elegy that depicts a couple overlooking the English Channel, questioning the gradual, steady loss
of faith of the time. Set against this backdrop of a society s crisis of faith, Arnold artfully uses a
range of literary techniques to reinforce the central theme of the poem, leading some to argue that
Dover Beach was one of the first free verse poems of the language. Indeed, the structure and content
of the poem goes against all traditional romantic love sonnets of the day with a decidedly more
melancholic and darker tone. Whilst respected critic Stefan Collini explores the notion that Arnold
s poem is too focused on the poet s own melancholic mindset, I will endeavour to provide an
alternative viewpoint which will reason that Arnold successfully delivered a wider commentary
about the crisis of faith that resonated not only with Arnold himself, but with the audience. The
poetic techniques that Arnold employs through shifts in metre, rhythm and form serve to reinforce
the change in human condition that Arnold is depicting in the poem. This is perhaps best
illustrated through examining the meter of Dover Beach, which for all its apparent minimalism
and ease, is subtler than one might think. The poem is comprised of four stanzas, which while
differing in length appear to retain a loose semblance of iambic rhythm. If we examine Hath really

E. E. Cummings s experimentation with form and language places him among the most innovative
of twentieth century poets. He developed a style so unique that his poetry was not fully appreciated
until after his death. Cummings experimented radically with form, punctuation, spelling and
syntax, abandoning traditional techniques and structures to create a new and unique style of poetic
expression. Like Charles Williams and many other poets of his time, Cummings expresses in his

The form of the poem reflects the spontaneity that an individual can have within the restricted views
of mainstream society. The ungrammatical structure of the poem endorses Cummings views of
being a nonconformist, as he promotes that he does not need to abide by society s restrictions on
language and grammar in order to portray and write a story. Through his experimentation with
poetic form and language, Cummings is able to promote his philosophy on individualism in anyone
lived in a pretty how town .
In maggie and milly and molly and may , Cummings expresses and promotes his transcendentalist
philosophical views through the use of personification. In the second couplet of the poem,
Cummings introduces maggie, and she symbolizes the sweetly troubled one. When Maggie was in
a time of trouble, she turned to nature (the shell), as transcendentalists do, to find comfort. Maggie
not only finds nature, she also finds art in the form of music. The shell sings to her, personifying
the shell as a person who can sing. It is through the shell and its song that maggie loses her woes
and finds her inner self, hence conveying transcendentalism and individualism. Cummings used
personification in maggie and milly and molly and may to help promote his philosophical views of
transcendentalism and individualism.

Daddy By Sylvia Plath Analysis
Sylvia Plath s Daddy is a very strong poem emotionally that has many different meanings and
interpretations. The narrative that Plath created is one that conveys a deep emotional distress
and feelings of confinement of a woman as she is trapped by the memories of her father until
finally gaining freedom when she lets go and make peace with her past. The speaker,
symbolism, and the sound devices all play big parts in giving the poem a profound meaning of
resolution. The speaker often speaks in the second person as she talks to her father, almost like
she s writing a final letter to him. Looking at the poem in this light gives it a whole new tone. It
fortifies the meaning of resolution as the speaker gives a personal confession towards her father,
letting him know that even after all the hurting, she has come to terms with him and will no
longer let him have such power over her life. Certain lines to take on a deeper impact as one
reads it like a confessional letter. In the line I have always been scared of you (41), the speaker
is admitting to her father and herself that he has always scared her, even before his death. The
line I may be a bit of a Jew (40) also takes a deeper meaning as she learns more about herself that
she may have been scared to admit before, such as being a Jew. Throughout the poem, Plath s
speaker fluctuates in her attitude towards her father, from hate to fear and back again, until finally
a plain disdain as she ends her letter to her

Cultural Appropriation In Bounce And Hymn For The Weekend
Cultural Appropriation would not be a term that most people could explain, if asked unexpectedly .
What exactly is cultural appropriation? According to Susan Scafidi, a law professor and researcher
of cultural appropriation, it can be defined as Taking intellectual property, traditional knowledge,
cultural expressions, or artifacts from someone else s culturewithout permission. The most difficult
aspect involving cultural appropriation is correctly being able to identify it, because there are many
ways in which someone is able to present a culture that is not his/her own without offending that
particular cultural group. Musical artists are susceptible and in many ways guilty of cultural
appropriation through the medium of music videos.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hinduism, the prevalent religion of India can be complicated yet attractive to westerners due to
its seemingly other worldly gods, practices, and views when seen from a typical westerner s
point of view. This can explain the attractiveness for these artists to use India as a backdrop to
their music videos but if the artists knew the meanings behind the many Hindu characteristics
shown, would they be hesitant to release the video in retrospect, in fear of offending someone
that truly identifies with Indian culture? Both videos show children throwing colored chalk at
one another. This is common practice during the Holi Festival, a celebration originating in
Southeast Asia pertaining to the Hindu religion. The Holi Festival is the day to end and rid
oneself of past errors, to end conflicts by meeting others, a day to forget and forgive. People pay
or forgive debts, as well as deal anew with those in their lives. Holi also marks the start of spring,
and for many the start of the new year. Neither videos accurately portray the Holi Festival
practices when put into context to their song when observing the lyrics to both songs.
Mindlessly inserting the children throwing colored chalk for visual aspects can leave negative
feelings to Hindus to see the Holi festival as a day for real beginnings . Other religious aspects
shown in the videos are what the artists themselves are seen wearing. In Bounce Iggy is shown
wearing a red bindi on her head. This signifies marriage in India and since Iggy herself is not
married, this can be seen as cultural appropriation. In Hymn for the Weekend , BeyoncГ© is seen
wearing henna or mehndi designs on her hands. In India, these artistic designs are applied for
ceremonies, so BeyoncГ© wearing them as a visual aspect for her video can be another case of
cultural appropriation. A

wagons was led by a royal stagecoach, where there sits 3 men. One of the men is wearing
glittering armor, a jewel encrusted sword, and a massive diamond necklace. He is Prince Leo
the Eleventh, only son of King Leo the Tenth. Across from him sits his guard, Sir Benedict the
Bold, who also wears a glittering suit of armor and a fancy sword. Known for his swordfighting
across the land, he is a master duelist and is high up in the rankings of knighthood. Finally, next
to Prince Leo, sit a peculiar sight. This man has no armor, a dull sword, and scruffy boots. His

you! The four attackers near the Prince and his knight, and just before they reach the two, William
the Poor charges the men from behind. He slashes two of them and instantly kills them. He turns to
Benedict and yells, Finish them! Benedict charges the remaining two and swiftly takes them out.
Thanks there lad, Benedict tells William. Don t think I could have taken four on at once. We got to

Affirmative Action Programs Should Be Legal
On March 6, 1961, President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 10925, introducing the
phrase affirmative action. A few years later, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued Executive Order
11246, which prohibited discrimination based on race, color and religion. Although there were no
specific policies that require colleges and universities to use affirmative actionprograms, they
voluntarily gave advantages to minorities and women in the admission process. Affirmative action
programs were first challenged in Regents of the University of California v. Bakke (1978), in which
the Supreme Court ruled that racial quotas are unconstitutional and violated the 14th Amendment.
However, schools could still use race as a factor in the admission process as long as it is not the
only factor. As a result, colleges have adjusted their affirmative action programs to fit the guidelines
outlined by the Court. Today, affirmative action is still a highly controversial issue. In modern day
America, the majority of Americans support affirmative action, but there are still those who do not.
Affirmative action benefits minorities by moving jobs towards minorities, but the shift is relatively
small. Affirmative action also provides minorities with higher acceptance rates to colleges and
universities. On the other hand, opponents of affirmative action often cite mismatch theory as one
of their main reasons of opposition, but minorities who attend high tier colleges actually benefit
from the the

Essay about Burial Rituals of Native American Culture
Burial Rituals of Native American Culture
At some point in our lives, we all come to realize that death is a part of life. Cultural diversity
provides a wide variety of lifestyles and traditions for each of the unique groups of people in our
world. Within these different cultures, the rituals associated with death and burial can also be
uniquely diverse. Many consider ritualistic traditions that differ from their own to be somewhat
strange and often perceive them as unnatural. A prime example would be the burial rituals of the
Native American people. Leslie Marmon Silko s story entitled The Man to Send Rain Clouds
describes a funeral service carried out by a Native American Pueblo family. Though many perceive

The feather tied to his hair is a prayer feather and the painting of the face is to ensure that he will
be recognized in the next world by his ancestors who have crossed over before him. The colors
are representative of the earth, sky, sun and water. The sprinkling of corn meal and water are
said to provide the dead with nourishment on their journey to the next world. The pollen is
representative of the earth s renewal from the rainclouds that will be sent back by the spirit of
the deceased. Silko frequently refers to a red blanket that the old man is wrapped in for burial
(149). The Native American people often leave a cord hanging from the blanket which wraps
the body of the deceased and is thought to provide a way for the spirit to be released into the
afterlife. All Native American cultures have strong beliefs in life after death, although the means
of reaching the next life may vary from tribe to tribe. They traditionally believe that death is a
part of a natural cycle in which their spirits are transported back and forth between this world and
the spirit world so that they can bring renewal and new life when they return. Most consider this
transition to be an honor or privilege since it will ensure the survival of their people. In Native
American culture, it is believed that neglect of tribal rituals can result in death and sickness, because
the spirit returns without blessings, having been unable to enter the other world. According

No Pain Analysis
A person that doesn t feel pain may sound like something you would read in the comics, but in
real life there are in fact some people who don t feel pain. There are two hereditary reasons for
this condition. First are neuropathies, which is the pain detecting nervous system that doesn t
fully develop. The other is congenital analgesia that starts at birth where the pain detecting
nervous system grows however does not function (The Conversation par. 8). Although many
people would love the idea of being able to feel no pain, there are some rather unpleasant side
affects. A person wouldn t be able to know if he or she is injured, have no sense of smell, and a
person would not fully understand what s dangerous.
People with this condition receive injury without knowing it. They can feel the difference between
what s sharp, dull, hot and chilly. However they can t, for instance, tell that a hot drink is hurting
their tongue (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain pg. 1). A boy named Isaac is one of these few
people. He feels something but the pain must be many times greater to compare to how normal
people would be, said Brown. Brown explained that Isaac couldn t tell that his ankle was broken.
Isaac thought that his lower leg hurt (Mohney par. 17). If a person doesn t know that he or she is

Although Principle Duvall (Tim Meadows) lectures the student body about a pushing and

(Jonathan Bennette), who sits in front of her in math class, she deals with it in a reasonable way
that does not involve breakheart. When there are misunderstandings, they are understandable and
not awkward contrivances manufactured for the convenience of the plot. In the middle of all
this, the actor Lindsay Lohan, who was 17 when the movie was filmed, provides a centre by
being centred. She has a quiet self confidence that prevents her from getting shrill and hyper like
so many teenage stars we believe her when she says that because of her years in Africa, I had
never lived in a world where adults didn t trust me. She never allows the character to tilt into
exaggeration and for that matter even the Plastics seem real, within their definitions of themselves,

Research Paper On H Holmes
H. H. Holmes Henry Herman Holmes was known to many as the first American serial killer.
Better known as just H. H. Holmes, he committed many murders in a suburb on the south side of
Chicago during the late 1800 s. Holmes once admitted to police that he killed 27 people, but
many actually predict that the number of murders he committed is near 200 (Handley). So what is
the real number of people that he killed? Let s take a closer look at the facts of Holmes life,
occupation, and the mansion that he built to determine how many people he may have actually
murdered. H. H. Holmeswas born as Herman Mudgett on May 16th 1861, and lived in a rural
town in New Hampshire. Holmes had a privileged childhood and expressed interest in the
medical field. He grew up during the period of the civil war and newspapers were always filled
with images of death on the battlefield. These images had a significant influence on Holmes and
he used this as an outlet to practice his desire to become a doctor. Holmes would capture wild
animals and begin experimenting on them by dissecting them with a pocket knife
(Biography.com). This eventually evolved into Holmes entering medical school at the University
of Michigan. This is where he studied and mastered the art of surgical dissection. Holmes
graduated in 1884 at the top of his class as a surgical doctor (Dorfman). After college, Holmes
moved around a bit until he settled down in the south side of Chicago Illinois where he worked for a

##k Of Personality In Jon Ronson s The Spokesperson
In Jon Ronson s The Spokesperson, there is a definite lack of respect for Shayler s side of the
argument, making my perception of North s appear more favorable and evoking an ethos
appeal to her emotional re telling of a brush with death. Jon Ronson One morning two years ago,
Rachel North, who works in advertising, got on the Piccadilly Line tube at Finsbury Park, in
north London. (Ronson 1). Ronson clearly wanted to provide background information to get
you well acquainted with her and her story. He continues by letting her tell her side of the story,
And it was very hot. You couldn t breathe at all. The air was just completely thick with smoke.
And I was suddenly wet, completely wet. And I was on the floor. And there were people lying on
top of me. And then the screaming started (Ronson 1).It is important to listen to the podcast when
examining the interview because in the background of the story, there are violins and soft piano
licks adding subconscious emphasis to the ethos and pathos. As she reflects back on how she
handled the experience she tells us that she, started pacing about. I was alternately pounding with
anger and adrenaline and having mini flashbacks, then feeling falling over tired. I drank several
whiskeys (Ronson 1). One of the main things I learned from AP psychology was that cognitive
dissonance occurs directly after a traumatic event. This is because for the brain to cope with such
traumatic events, there needs to be gap fillers available to smooth over the stress and allow positive
growth. As Ronson began to transition into the conspiracy theorists subject, he makes sure to add
choice wording that sets up your opinion on the theorists early on. And so Rachel felt
uncontrollably compelled to do something unwise. She decided to jump into the fray, jump into the
lives of the internet conspiracy theorists. She decided to get involved, and try and convince them
that their theories weren t true (Ronson 1). The word usage uncontrollably compelled to do
something unwise, and conspiracy theorists add to the cushion he has given North, and how he is
subtly belittling Shayler. **The difference between perspective and perception ultimately boils
down to, Perspective is a point of

  • 3. Transport By Bicycle May Seem To Be A Thing Of The Past Transport by bicycle may seem to be a thing of the past but benefits associated with the trend continue to give hope to those who see it as a means of daily transport. In the United states, majority of the population consider cycling as a means of recreation and for leisure; and so most people don t consider bicycles as a mode of transportation. Cyclingis for everyone of all shapes, sizes, and age. Over the years, America has learned to depend solely on cars and trucks, which operate on fossil fuel for transportation needs. This credence generally contributes to air pollution which has negative consequences on health (Srinivasan, O Fallon, Dearry, 2003). The elderly, children, individuals with hypersensitive airway diseases, and even... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Physical inactivity has been known to result in health consequences like obesity and heart diseases. 70%of US health costs are due to obesity associated diseases (Levine, 2011). Coronary artery disease is the most common type of heart disease estimated to killing about 385,000 people in the America annually. Coronary Artery Disease statistically, is the most prevalent cause of death in American for both men and women, causing 600,000 deaths annually, which comes to about 1 in every 4 deaths, males females. The estimated economic cost of Coronary artery disease in the United States is $109 billion per annum. Which will also include costs of medications, ER admissions and healthcare services (Cassar, Gersh, Holmes, Rihal, 2009). Bicycling can help profit the same betterment in physical performance as other specific training programs, and cycling at a proportionally low intensity for just 30 minutes a day and at least 3 times weekly can increase life expectancy by several years (Hendriksen, Zuiderveld, Kemper, Bezemer, 2000). Although positive health results cannot be attributed to biking alone, notwithstanding, the benefits of amalgamating exercise and physical activity into one s day to day lifestyle is incontrovertible. Exercising has been linked to psychological health and happiness. A study revealed that people who exercise have an overall happier attitude both psychologically, and behaviorally by using ... • 4. Sunspots And Radiation Solar flares, Sunspots, and Radiation Solar flares, Sun spots, and Radiation are all vital parts of the sun cycle. Sunspots create solar flare which gives off radiation, without one another the sun could explode because of energy build up. Solar flares are defined as brief eruptions of highly energized radiation from the sun, but why does this happen? Solar flares occur when magnetic energyis built up, then rapidly released at once, during, the sun gives off generous amounts of X and gamma rays. Strangely enough the energy of a solar flare is ten million times that of a volcanic eruption, but only 1/10th of the energy that comes from the sun every second. • 5. Why Do Neanderthals Exist Anthropologists of primeval and present times have been tasked to research on the Neanderthal and find out the exact time that they lived. They argued that the first humans that had proto Neanderthal traits existed as early as 350,000 600,000 years ago (Jordan 114). Later they discovered that true Neanderthals appeared between 200,000 and 250,000 years ago. Nevertheless, the exact date during which they existed has been disputed by many scientists. According to (PaМ€aМ€bo 76), the first recognized human fossils were discovered in 1856 a pre historic site a long Neander Valley in Germany (hence the name Neanderthalman); this creature is suspected to have a close resemblance to the modern man, differing in their genetic composition by just 0.12%.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to (Lunine 204), modern humans share one gene (FOXP2) with the Neanderthals. However, the main difference between Neanderthals and modern humans is that they had a more robust and idiosyncratic morphological traits, especially on the cranium. (Lunine, 234). Neanderthals had relatively shorter limbs, wider barrel shaped rib cage, with reduced chin and relatively longer and enlarged nose. Unlike the modern man who had reduced ribcage and sizeable nose. They were more masculine than the modern man with particularly strong arms and hands. If a physical altercation between a Neandertal and a modern man occurred, the Neandertal would have the ability to completely physically dominate him. Additionally, recent research shows that Neanderthals could have had better eyesight than modern humans owing to the size of their skull and larger eye sockets. They had a brain capacity of about 1600cm3 which is bigger than the modern humans. Neanderthals skeletons were much stronger with robust muscles embodied on it, and the shafts found on both the legs and the arms were highly modified to absorb stress from bending and twisting without ... The Opening Night In The Theater Play Analysis As the lights dim in the theatre, I know that my husband is in for an interesting experience, as he has no background knowledge (other than the quick Cole s notes version I gave in the car ride to Grand Bend) about the iconic Broadway sensation Chicago. Boy, was I right. The opening night of Drayton Entertainment s Chicago at the Huron Country Playhouse had the audience captured from the start. Lots of long legs, toned abs and barely there costumes along with amazing musically talented ensemble definitely grab the attention of all in the theatre. This is not a show for young children! The darker, sultry side of life in the 1920s Chicago comes alive through edgy dancing, strong musical numbers and humour as the cast razzle dazzles its way through the story of the two divas, Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, who vie for the spotlight in Cook County Jail after doing away with their cheating lovers. My husband and I enjoyed some salted caramel ice cream bars during the intermission under the new, large gazebo that has been recently built on the front lawn. • 7. Challenges Facing The United States There will be significant challenges facing the United States in the next 10 years regarding strategic threats and global security. The three overlapping types of conflicts which will dictate future wars, challenge government agencies, and force all branches of the Armed Forces to restructure their formations are Wars of Silicon, Iron, and Shadow. The four U.S. Services will need to rebalance, be adaptive, implement strategic agility, and reprioritize their programs to meet specific security issues posed by these conflicts. Diverse adversaries will employ traditional, unconventional, and hybrid strategies to threaten U.S. National Security. Joint Forces by 2025 will need to be leaner, technologically superior, and expeditionary to support Combatant Commanders so; they can win in full spectrum operations and defend U.S. national interests at home and overseas. These new and adaptive Defense strategies will require making profound choices due to budget constraints and Sequestration. There are significant risks associated with these choices, which will require implementing stringent control measure to mitigate those risks. The Wars of Iron, Silicon, and Shadow are shaping strategic interest for the U.S. at home and abroad; in addition will force government agencies to make tough financial and strategic decision, which could significantly influence National Military Strategy for years. • 8. Nucor Steel Case Study There are many competitive forces that are affecting Nucor Corporation. Some of the primary ones are the market size, number of rivals, and pace of technological change. The market size is shrinking because of the increase in competing international steel companies. The number of rivals in America is declining due to higher labor costs than in foreign countries. There is a very fast pace of technology in the steelindustry and it seems that the company, that obtains the newest technology, flourishes. This is due to the difficulty in lower costs of steel production. Better technology is one of the only ways to decrease costs because labor is pretty much at a set cost and all that is left is the cost of ironand making the steel. If a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It seems that the companies, who obtain these technologies, obtain a significant head start in the industry. Like I said before, many companies are going bankrupt and are leaving the exiting the industry. Since steel is a commodity it leads to very volatile prices and can change quite frequently due to demand. By looking at Exhibit 1, you can see how the average price per ton decreased form $425 per ton in 2000 to $354 per ton in 2001. This exhibit shows how many tons of steel Nucor sold during certain years from 1970 to 2006. It is interesting to see that Nucor s net income was fairly low during the years of 2000 2002, but increased to $1,121.5 million. This is because of Nucor s many acquisitions during the low period. Just a few years later in 2004, the price of steel was back up to $595 per ton. These driving forces very easily impact the steel industry s competitive structure in a bad way. These driving forces make it very difficult for steel companies to compete in this industry. 3)The prospects for future profitability of the U.S. steel makers are very unattractive. Unless America can successfully combat China s enormously, inexpensive, production ability, I do not see any American steel company surviving. China just has too big of a production ability and has the workforce to do it cheaply. Nucor will have to expand in this industry in the United States to survive. If the WTO ... I do believe that potentially, if you played team sports in high school/college that it will increase your chances of landing that big job. People do not realize what it takes to play a team sport, it takes team work, work ethic, mental strength, I can go on and on about what you need to be able to succeed in a sport. Just having those skills listed above can help you prepare for the career field you will be going in. Think about having a job, there are a lot of skills you need to possess in order to succeed in that career field. It is much like playing a team sport; you need to be able to use those same skills you used when you played a team sport to become successful in the work force. These are just some of the reasons why playing a team sport will help you land that big job in the work force. Let s say you are a owner for a huge business, and you had to fire someone for whatever reason, when you go to hire that new candidate, which one would you choose; a guy who is very friendly, outgoing, great communication skills, and a great leader, or someone who is just the opposite but may have a few of those skills. Knowing as an owner that this guy was a star on the baseball team, and a great leader with a lot of skills required to be successful in the work force should help you determine who to pick for this job. Others, believing the Black Death to be a punishment from God, attempted to atone for their sins through self inflicted pain. The Jews became scapegoats. People fled, carrying the plague with them. The resulting labor shortage could benefit peasants, although the demand for products was also reduced. When the ruling classes reduced wage rates there were peasant revolts. The ruling classes quelled the revolts, but social upheaval continued to plague the post plague world. Wars were also part of the crisis, notably the Hundred Years War between England and France. In 1328 the French Capetian line ended. England s Edward III (d.1377) claimed the French throne, but a cousin to the Capets, Philip of Valois, became king (d.1350). War soon began. Armored knights on horseback were the backbone of medieval armies, but English peasants using the longbow had begun to change the face of war. When the French king was captured, a treaty was signed in 1360: France agreed to pay ransom, the English received land in France, and Edward renounced his claim to the throne. • 11. Beethoven Op-2 Essay In the first movement of Beethoven s Piano Sonata No. 1 in F Minor, op. 2, the composer draws on a variety of stylistic strands that contributed to the evolution of the mature classical style. Through an analysis of specific musical elements, which include references to form and style, structure, harmony, thematic material, dynamics and textural considerations, I will show how Beethoven adheres to the formal and stylistic conventions associated with the sonata during this period, as well as how he asserted his own voice, creating his own Beethovenian style. Beethoven makes use of a multitude of styles throughout the exposition, moving from style galant to Sturm und Drang and ending in empfandsamer. The primary themein mm. 1 8 exemplifies the qualities of style galant. Beethoven uses a two measure long motive repeatedly in the right hand and block chords in the left. The dominant right hand melody with chordal accompaniment in the left is an indicator for style galant. In m. 9 he begins the transition away from F minor, and arrives at A flat Major in m. 20. As he introduces new material in mm. 15 19, Beethoven continues to use these qualities. After the transition comes the secondary theme in m. 20. The secondary theme displays a legato lyrical ascending pattern with chromatic points, varying drastically from the much more detached melody in the first primary theme. Conspiracy theorists have been coming up with theories ever since the late 1900 s, and are still coming up with them today. These theorists have come up with many different theories about this conspiracy, Chemtrails, some think that they are chemicals sprayed to help the human race survive, some say that Chemtrails are to help protect the earthfrom global warming, and some say that they are a gel like substance that makes people ill, and the government would do this to help with depopulation, and to test a new bioweapon for war, but it could, and most likely is just airplane condensation from planes flying in the upper troposphere.... We were told during the first class period that employment of accountants is growing 22% from 2008 to 2018. Goes to show that Accounting is something that everyone needs, and is the backbone of business. Throughout this semester we have been fortunate enough to have speakers from multiple accounting professions come talk to us about their professionand what it entails. Tony Batman stood out to me because he shed a different light on the accounting profession and business in general. Common perception is that people get into business just to make money. Mr. Batman said something that will stick with me throughout my entire career that is contrary to the notion of businesses being around solely for profit. He said that the primary purpose of business is to make people s lives better . I had never thought of business that way, I had always perceived it as providing a service for customers but you are actually making their lives better while providing that service. In this essay I will discuss how things I learned in this class helped guide my future career choice. The first big question on deciding a career in accounting that was brought up was Public Accounting vs. Private Accounting. We discussed that Public Accountants were more of service providers to clients; this could include audit, tax, and advisory service roles that the company provides to their employers. Most of the speakers that came to talk to us, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The cornerstone of the SCSE, holistic advising, has played a pivotal role in creating and sustaining mentoring relationships with students. Advisors help recruit students into the sciences via STEM class visits at the beginning of each semester and through holistic advising, including coaching in academic, career and professional development. SCSE staff focus on providing workshops aimed at increasing student professional development, including the importance of networking, a tool that many minority students are unfamiliar with (Stolle McAllister, 2011). Additionally, relationships between advisors and faculty have enabled a multi layered approach in intervention with struggling students. The collaborative nature of relationships between instructors and advisors has also created a network in which students can learn of opportunities in STEM, such as undergraduate research opportunities that advance their professional development. SCSE advisors also provide assistance with resume building and writing statements of purpose, and provide guidance throughout the application process for graduate education. For example, the Turks and Arabs attacked and conquered the people living in Romania, also known as the Byzantine Empire. As stated by Pope Urban II, They have killed and captured many, and have destroyed the churches and devastated the empire (Doc 9). Analysis And Design Of Software Structured Programming, Nassi Shneiderman Structure Charts, Formal Proofs of Correctness, and Structured Analysis and Design are all tools to help with analysis and design of software. Each topic is described briefly below with respect to software development and project management. At its core, Structured Programming is a method to organize code. The intent of the rules laid out by the method is to make code easier to read, understand, and maintain (3). Most software projects are large and written by many programmers. Employing Structured Programming provides strict guidelines on coding practices. These guidelines are designed to decrease development time, improve readability, and increase maintainability. There are three components of structured programming: Control Structures, Subroutines, and Blocks (13). Control Structures are further broken down into Sequences, Selections, and Iterations. Sequences are lines of code that are executed in a specific order. Selections are only executed when the program is in a certain state, and Iterations are loops that are executed until a certain condition is met. Both Subroutines and Blocks are units of code that are executed together. Blocks have specific syntax in order to group the lines of code together and are only present in some languages. They are a way to group executable code in order to make sense to the reader and clearly define sections and functionality of the code. The grouping is motivated by the flow of information ... From the beginning of the National Socialist Party s rise to power to the downfall of the conquering Nazi regime, the ideology of a racially and biologically superior Germany was a large motivating force for the actions taken by the regime s leaders and its people. National Socialist supporters saw the fictitious Aryan raceas the pure, master race of Germany, while minority races and religions, namely Jews, as well as any subculture that did not follow Nazi ideology or social norms, were deemed as inferior sub humans. Despite the connection of race superiority between Aryan men and women, however, women, somewhat similarly to racial minorities, were perceived as submissive, lesser humans to the Nazi political leaders when compared to the supposedly influential and flawless Aryan men. Men, according to Nazi ideology, are who make history and will devote [their] powers towards the victory of Germany and the domination of the Aryan race over Europe. Yet, for the Aryan race to successfully rule Europe, a new and large generation of pure Aryan Germans must come into fruition, thus the need for Aryan women s compliance in bearing many children was essential. Great importance was placed on the preservation of traditional gender roles, specifically the role as a mother, and the separation and segregation of the worlds of men and women. The specific words sung are more attuned to the metrical nature of the music than they are apt tools for imparting the singer with specific knowledge about a single battle. The Star Spangled Banner is an example of modern commemoration. If we were to read it as it was originally written, as a poem, then we would probably think of it as a series of images describing a naval assault on an American fort, and as a singular, historical event. The poem s lines would become information. Yet in song form this is not the case. The point of the song is not for each individual to remember a certain night in American history; the point is for a group of singers to remember the notion of a nation, more specifically, the United States. Hobart and Schiffman theorize that each oral presentation of the Iliad was a different for its audiences as the situations in which we might hear the national anthem. For instance, we sing the national anthem at baseball games, but we also heard it after the World Trade Center was attacked on September 11, 2001; besides being group events, these cases have little in common. Cocaine was first extracted from coca in the 19th cent. and was at first hailed as a miracle drug. After all, it was used for a lot of things such as in dentistry. Most coca is grown in Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia. The farmers, for whom it is a relatively well paying crop, harvest and dry the leaves, which are then processed into coca paste. While there are economic benefits to very large organisations, there are human benefits to small organisations. Another point is that information technology has reduced the costs significantly which benefits all the organisations. There is a question of who makes the decision. It is said that it should be done by the states, however it is also said that some states are more equal than others. For example, G8 is consired as the most equals. Moreover, there is also G7. The powerful states have institutions such as IMF or WTO. Voting is one of the key acts of democracyand also a mandatory action in some countries. While I agree that voting is an important action, I believe this should be an optional right. Democracy means the freedom of acts and voting is just one act to be performed. Hence, it is clear that to make the voting compulsory contradicts with the notion of democracy. Although the propents of mandatory voting claim that voting runs the democracy, it is often forgotten that giving freedom should not be underestimated. Consequently, in that manner, freedom also means the freedom of voting. On the other hand, there can be drawed some conclusions if voting is made compulsory in a democratic country. Analysis Of Dover Beach By Matthew Arnold (Not) Alone in the Sea of Faith Published in 1867, Matthew Arnold s Dover Beach is short lyrical elegy that depicts a couple overlooking the English Channel, questioning the gradual, steady loss of faith of the time. Set against this backdrop of a society s crisis of faith, Arnold artfully uses a range of literary techniques to reinforce the central theme of the poem, leading some to argue that Dover Beach was one of the first free verse poems of the language. Indeed, the structure and content of the poem goes against all traditional romantic love sonnets of the day with a decidedly more melancholic and darker tone. Whilst respected critic Stefan Collini explores the notion that Arnold s poem is too focused on the poet s own melancholic mindset, I will endeavour to provide an alternative viewpoint which will reason that Arnold successfully delivered a wider commentary about the crisis of faith that resonated not only with Arnold himself, but with the audience. The poetic techniques that Arnold employs through shifts in metre, rhythm and form serve to reinforce the change in human condition that Arnold is depicting in the poem. This is perhaps best illustrated through examining the meter of Dover Beach, which for all its apparent minimalism and ease, is subtler than one might think. • 34. EE Cummings E. E. Cummings s experimentation with form and language places him among the most innovative of twentieth century poets. He developed a style so unique that his poetry was not fully appreciated until after his death. Cummings experimented radically with form, punctuation, spelling and syntax, abandoning traditional techniques and structures to create a new and unique style of poetic expression. Like Charles Williams and many other poets of his time, Cummings expresses in his poetryhis philosophical views of individualism and transcendentalism, and his criticism towards society s intolerance of nonconformists. The form of the poem reflects the spontaneity that an individual can have within the restricted views of mainstream society. The ungrammatical structure of the poem endorses Cummings views of being a nonconformist, as he promotes that he does not need to abide by society s restrictions on language and grammar in order to portray and write a story. Through his experimentation with poetic form and language, Cummings is able to promote his philosophy on individualism in anyone lived in a pretty how town . In maggie and milly and molly and may , Cummings expresses and promotes his transcendentalist philosophical views through the use of personification. In the second couplet of the poem, Cummings introduces maggie, and she symbolizes the sweetly troubled one. When Maggie was in a time of trouble, she turned to nature (the shell), as transcendentalists do, to find comfort. Maggie not only finds nature, she also finds art in the form of music. The shell sings to her, personifying the shell as a person who can sing. It is through the shell and its song that maggie loses her woes and finds her inner self, hence conveying transcendentalism and individualism. Cummings used personification in maggie and milly and molly and may to help promote his philosophical views of transcendentalism and individualism. • 36. Daddy By Sylvia Plath Analysis Sylvia Plath s Daddy is a very strong poem emotionally that has many different meanings and interpretations. The narrative that Plath created is one that conveys a deep emotional distress and feelings of confinement of a woman as she is trapped by the memories of her father until finally gaining freedom when she lets go and make peace with her past. The speaker, symbolism, and the sound devices all play big parts in giving the poem a profound meaning of resolution. The speaker often speaks in the second person as she talks to her father, almost like she s writing a final letter to him. Looking at the poem in this light gives it a whole new tone. It fortifies the meaning of resolution as the speaker gives a personal confession towards her father, letting him know that even after all the hurting, she has come to terms with him and will no longer let him have such power over her life. Certain lines to take on a deeper impact as one reads it like a confessional letter. In the line I have always been scared of you (41), the speaker is admitting to her father and herself that he has always scared her, even before his death. The line I may be a bit of a Jew (40) also takes a deeper meaning as she learns more about herself that she may have been scared to admit before, such as being a Jew. Throughout the poem, Plath s speaker fluctuates in her attitude towards her father, from hate to fear and back again, until finally a plain disdain as she ends her letter to her ... • 37. Cultural Appropriation In Bounce And Hymn For The Weekend Cultural Appropriation would not be a term that most people could explain, if asked unexpectedly . What exactly is cultural appropriation? According to Susan Scafidi, a law professor and researcher of cultural appropriation, it can be defined as Taking intellectual property, traditional knowledge, cultural expressions, or artifacts from someone else s culturewithout permission. The most difficult aspect involving cultural appropriation is correctly being able to identify it, because there are many ways in which someone is able to present a culture that is not his/her own without offending that particular cultural group. Musical artists are susceptible and in many ways guilty of cultural appropriation through the medium of music videos.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hinduism, the prevalent religion of India can be complicated yet attractive to westerners due to its seemingly other worldly gods, practices, and views when seen from a typical westerner s point of view. This can explain the attractiveness for these artists to use India as a backdrop to their music videos but if the artists knew the meanings behind the many Hindu characteristics shown, would they be hesitant to release the video in retrospect, in fear of offending someone that truly identifies with Indian culture? Both videos show children throwing colored chalk at one another. This is common practice during the Holi Festival, a celebration originating in Southeast Asia pertaining to the Hindu religion. The Holi Festival is the day to end and rid oneself of past errors, to end conflicts by meeting others, a day to forget and forgive. People pay or forgive debts, as well as deal anew with those in their lives. Holi also marks the start of spring, and for many the start of the new year. Neither videos accurately portray the Holi Festival practices when put into context to their song when observing the lyrics to both songs. Mindlessly inserting the children throwing colored chalk for visual aspects can leave negative feelings to Hindus to see the Holi festival as a day for real beginnings . Other religious aspects shown in the videos are what the artists themselves are seen wearing. In Bounce Iggy is shown wearing a red bindi on her head. This signifies marriage in India and since Iggy herself is not married, this can be seen as cultural appropriation. In Hymn for the Weekend , BeyoncГ© is seen wearing henna or mehndi designs on her hands. In India, these artistic designs are applied for ceremonies, so BeyoncГ© wearing them as a visual aspect for her video can be another case of cultural appropriation. A ... • 41. Affirmative Action Programs Should Be Legal On March 6, 1961, President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 10925, introducing the phrase affirmative action. A few years later, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued Executive Order 11246, which prohibited discrimination based on race, color and religion. Although there were no specific policies that require colleges and universities to use affirmative actionprograms, they voluntarily gave advantages to minorities and women in the admission process. Affirmative action programs were first challenged in Regents of the University of California v. Bakke (1978), in which the Supreme Court ruled that racial quotas are unconstitutional and violated the 14th Amendment. However, schools could still use race as a factor in the admission process as long as it is not the only factor. As a result, colleges have adjusted their affirmative action programs to fit the guidelines outlined by the Court. Today, affirmative action is still a highly controversial issue. In modern day America, the majority of Americans support affirmative action, but there are still those who do not. Affirmative action benefits minorities by moving jobs towards minorities, but the shift is relatively small. Affirmative action also provides minorities with higher acceptance rates to colleges and universities. On the other hand, opponents of affirmative action often cite mismatch theory as one of their main reasons of opposition, but minorities who attend high tier colleges actually benefit from the the ... Cultural diversity provides a wide variety of lifestyles and traditions for each of the unique groups of people in our world. Within these different cultures, the rituals associated with death and burial can also be uniquely diverse. Many consider ritualistic traditions that differ from their own to be somewhat strange and often perceive them as unnatural. A prime example would be the burial rituals of the Native American people. The pollen is representative of the earth s renewal from the rainclouds that will be sent back by the spirit of the deceased. Silko frequently refers to a red blanket that the old man is wrapped in for burial (149). The Native American people often leave a cord hanging from the blanket which wraps the body of the deceased and is thought to provide a way for the spirit to be released into the afterlife. All Native American cultures have strong beliefs in life after death, although the means of reaching the next life may vary from tribe to tribe. They traditionally believe that death is a part of a natural cycle in which their spirits are transported back and forth between this world and the spirit world so that they can bring renewal and new life when they return. Most consider this transition to be an honor or privilege since it will ensure the survival of their people. In Native American culture, it is believed that neglect of tribal rituals can result in death and sickness, because the spirit returns without blessings, having been unable to enter the other world. Jon Ronson One morning two years ago, Rachel North, who works in advertising, got on the Piccadilly Line tube at Finsbury Park, in north London. (Ronson 1). Ronson clearly wanted to provide background information to get you well acquainted with her and her story. He continues by letting her tell her side of the story, And it was very hot. You couldn t breathe at all. The air was just completely thick with smoke. And I was suddenly wet, completely wet. And I was on the floor. And there were people lying on top of me. And then the screaming started (Ronson 1).It is important to listen to the podcast when examining the interview because in the background of the story, there are violins and soft piano licks adding subconscious emphasis to the ethos and pathos. As she reflects back on how she handled the experience she tells us that she, started pacing about. I was alternately pounding with anger and adrenaline and having mini flashbacks, then feeling falling over tired. I drank several whiskeys (Ronson 1). One of the main things I learned from AP psychology was that cognitive dissonance occurs directly after a traumatic event. This is because for the brain to cope with such traumatic events, there needs to be gap fillers available to smooth over the stress and allow positive growth. As Ronson began to transition into the conspiracy theorists subject, he makes sure to add choice wording that sets up your opinion on the theorists early on. And so Rachel felt uncontrollably compelled to do something unwise. She decided to jump into the fray, jump into the lives of the internet conspiracy theorists. She decided to get involved, and try and convince them that their theories weren t true (Ronson 1). The word usage uncontrollably compelled to do something unwise, and conspiracy theorists add to the cushion he has given North, and how he is subtly belittling Shayler. **The difference between perspective and perception ultimately boils down to, Perspective is a point of ...
