Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
Important Reminders When Getting Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy [PART I]
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) also known as natural hormone therapy works
when Bioidentical hormones act in the body just like the hormones we produce. It is primarily used to
reduce the symptoms of menopause. Today, it is also used for clinical testing of blood and saliva, for
anti aging purposes, and overall improving the quality of life for women who have symptoms of
menopause.
Bioidentical hormones have the exact molecular structure of those endogenous or natural hormones in
a person s body and produce the same physiochemical responses. However, only a few women
understand the importance of bioidentical hormones because they are mostly focused on the source of
the hormones rather than the effects produced. If BHRT is not given appropriately, it may lead to
different risks memory loss, weight gain, fibrocystic breasts, mood ... Show more content on

The angles that women should know are these three (3) important reminders, especially when talking
about covering hormone supplementation.
Reminder #1 Choose BHRT when you are truly deficient with hormones
This is common sense. You should not take insulin when you still have enough. Some women get
paranoid over the notion that they are reaching 40 and that means menopause and menopause mean
you become estrogen deficient. Yes, we understand that you do not want them to leave the building.
But BHRT is for people who have the hormone deficiency.
The typical assumption of the conventional medicine is that women after menopause become deficient
with estrogen; however, this assumption is false. However, all credible experts agree that over 66% of
women ages 80 and up still continue to make all the estrogen they need. Because of an aromatase
enzyme, women still make estrogen even with the ovaries removed.
You would know that you have enough estrogen in the body when:
 You still have your monthly

Scope By Alfred Hitchcock Meaning
Have you ever done something that you thought made sense when you did it, but later you realize how
much you regret doing it and how you wish you could take it back? In the short film Rope by Alfred
Hitchcock, this exact thing happens to Phillip, when his Evil friend Brandon convinces him to help
him commit murder. Phillip thinks it is a good idea, but then when the boys are under question, Phillip
breaks down and starts regretting his actions and even confesses to the murder because he feels so
bad. In Rope two Friends Phillip and Brandon commit the act of murder to an innocent civilian named
David. Brandon is the one who orchestrates the whole thing, while Phillip is the one who actually
strangles David to death. The boys then proceed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rupert then says that he does not know what society is going to do to the boys when they find out
about the murder, and that they will probably die. In the Short Film Rope by Alfred Hitchcock, Phillip
is the character that goes through the most change, first because Brandon starts to make bizarre
comments that make him sound like he is bragging about the murder .Second because he realizes they
will get caught because Rupert knows about the murder, both of these things make him change and
regret the murder.Phillip first changes and starts to regret the murder, when Brandon starts making odd
comments about their murder of David, which leads Phillip to wonder why they murdered him in the
first place. When the murder is committed Brandon starts making comments that make it seem almost
as if he is bragging about it. One thing Brandon says is, Nobody commits a murder just for the
experiment of committing it, nobody except us. This really leaves Phillip to realize why did they
really kill David, did they really have a justifiable reason to commit such an

Differences Between Language And Communication
Language. What exactly is it? We use it every day to communicate with people around us from a very
early age. As we walk around and take in the world around us we notice some people communicating
differently. Their words don t sound like ours, yet they are able to function the same way we do and
complete the same tasks. Stated on dictionary.com language is a body of words of words and the
systems for their use common to a people who are of the same community or nation, the same
geographical area, or the same cultural tradition. From this definition, we can see that language can
have many different variations. Variations can be in the same language or different languages.
Variations in languages can be accents, pronunciations, dialects, and grammar (Language). For
example, in America, and in the United Kingdom we speak English, but our accents, pronunciations,
and even word usage is very different. This speaking communication is known as linguistic So, How
is it that language has developed? Before communication between humans became linguistic it was
first just nonverbal movements like different facial expressions, gestures, and noises known as non
linguistic communication (Pereltsvaig 1). According to Professor J.F Stein from the physiology
department at Oxford University Language is a relatively new thing and only developed about 50,000
years ago (131). So basically, humans were very successful at surviving even when they weren t able
to verbally address things. This

My Dreaded Enemy, My Dearest Friend
My Dreaded Enemy, My Dearest Friend
On a cold Sunday morning in February, I woke up dreading the day. I had an essay to write, three
pages of math homework to do, and two biology packets to copy. Four days later I would be having
lunch with my mom, none of my homework done, telling her about the past three days I lived without
her.

Mikayla? Mikayla, can you hear me?
The harsh, bright lights of my bathroom burned my retinas and a man I didn t recognize came into
focus. He looked like the perfect beach: hair the color of sand and eyes the color of seawater. At first, I
thought he was an angel coming to save me. In a way, I guess he was. His navy blue shirt had a crest
and the letters E M T embroidered on the pocket. The tile was as cold as ice. Although it was my
bathroom that I had been in a million times, everything felt foreign. I must have zoned out, I thought.
Yeah, I can hear you, I whispered. I didn t even want to look him in the eyes. My right forearm, leg,
and fingers were crusted with dark crimson blood. What happened? The flash of a fresh razor blade
suddenly sliced through my fuzzy and confused thoughts. Oh. The man quietly wrapped my arm in
gauze. I could hear another man talking to my mom just beyond the bathroom door. She definitely
knows how to take care of things like this. She s managed to stop the bleeding for now, but it may
need stitches. There I sat, curled up in a ball of protection, shame, and fear while they discussed what
to do with me. A

Ephedrine and It s Effect on Weight Loss Essay
Ephedrine and It s Effect on Weight Loss
The Dilemma
It is dilemma that affects the world over, its scope nothing short of the earth s 25,000 mile
circumference. However, in certain cultures it is a more significant issue than in others. Nevertheless,
it can affect every aspect of our lives, driving many even to suicide. Few, if any, are naturally
invincible to its hidden wrath. This invisible, yet potent dilemma is obesity, or simply weight control.
In countries, such as the United States, weight control is a common, yet, dire issue. Especially, in a
society where thin is in, but for many, so are fatty foods and infrequent exercise, there is a huge and
growing demand for quick, easy schemes to lose weight. However, the true ... Show more content on

In Western terms, ma huang is considered to have diaphoretic, diuretic, central nervous system
stimulating and antiasthmatic activity. The stem (herb) of ephedra contains a number of active
compounds, including small amounts of an essential oil, and most important, one or two percent
alkaloids composed mainly of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, with ephedrine ranging from thirty to
ninety percent depending on the source.
Alone, ephedrine is a very powerful amphetamine like compound. However, as Mark Blumenthal
editor of HerbalGram and executive director of the American Botanical Council, was quoted...as
saying that he has used the stems and twigs of the Chinese herb ma huang as a cold remedy for twenty
years. He pointed out that the effects of ephedrine, a stimulant alkaloid in ma huang should not be
confused with the whole herb itself. This is a good example of how the effects of a whole herb and its
isolated constituents must be considered separately. One should not confuse ephedrine and
pseudoephedrine with ephedra, just like one shouldn t confuse pure caffeine with coffee.

Sir Isaac Newton s Laws Of Motion
Introduction
Sir Isaac Newton s laws of motion are three laws which provide relationships between the forces
acting on a physical body and the motion of the body. They were first compiled by Sir Isaac Newton
in his work Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica, published on July 5th, 1687. These laws of
motion are composed of three laws: Inertia, F=ma, and equal and opposite forces. These laws explain
and give reasons for the motion of all objects. In everyday life friction is all around us. In this
experiment the effects of friction will be studied, and friction is the resistance that one surface or
object encounters when moving over another. Friction is caused in part by Newton s First Law of
Motion: Inertia. The law of inertia states that an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by a
force. It also states that an object in motion will continue to travel at the same speed and in the same
direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
1.1 Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
A balanced force is when forces cause no loss of speed on an object, for example a car encountering
the same force of wind resistance as its force of acceleration will continue to travel at the same speed.
If a force is unbalanced, the car would either slow down if wind resistance increased or acceleration
decreased and it would speed up if wind resistance decreased or acceleration increased.
1.2 Gravity
Gravity is another factor affecting friction. Gravity, Newton said, is a force

How Do Chameleons Change Its Appearance
Chameleons can quickly change their appearance in response to temperature, environment, and mood.
Scientists recently identified a key factor in their ability to do this: The lizards can tune the distances
between nanoscale crystals in their skin that reflect light, creating a spectrum of colors. The cells that
form its skin play a significant roll in the color changes. This zoom represents 150 microns of a
chameleon skin, about twice the diameter of a human hair. When the light hits its skin, the cells act
depending on the mood of the chameleon. Crystals would be close together in a neutral state and
spread out when the chameleon gets excited. This crystals would reflect out to the epidermis the warm
light, changing the chameleons color

How Did Blasphemy Trials Affect The Lives Of Indigenous...
The Spanish Inquisition was originally an institution developed in Spain to conduct trials by the
Catholic Monarchs. The Inquisition s trial courts focused on ensuring that the Catholic Doctrine was
enforced. After the conquering and colonization of indigenous groups within the New World the
colony of New Spain was formed. The Spanish Crown sought to use the Inquisition to prosecute those
guilty of heresy or blasphemy, which is the act of denouncing God or demeaning religious ideas.
Comparing and analyzing Spanish Inquisition blasphemy trial documents demonstrate the recorded
history and process by which these trials started and ended. Which presents us with the question, how
did blasphemy trials effect the personal lives of indigenous groups within New Spain?
To investigate the history and impact of the Spanish Inquisition focus on the process and punishment
of blasphemy trials will improve an understanding of the effect of these institutions. The Catholic
Monarchs King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella justified the establishment of the Inquisition in Spain
and The New World by constructing it as a form of religious purification. The history of the Tribunal
del Santo Oficio de la InquisiciĂłn, or as it is more commonly known the Spanish Inquisition began
during the 15th century and did not end until the early 19th. The Episcopal Inquisition was established
in 1536 and was the first religious court. Fray Juan de Zumarraga was a Bishop and a member of the
Franciscan Order.

Analyzing Multiple Perspectives
From an early age I have been passionate about reading. Like seriously, when I was five years old I
was upset that I didn t get the newest Little Mermaid book for Christmas. However, I have never had
an interest in writing. Unfortunately, as I plan to go to graduate school to obtain my Ph.D, I really
cannot avoid it. Over the years, my lack of enthusiasm about writing has caused me to view most
English classes as a chore, something I needed to do in order to advance to what I really wanted to do
with my life. With the risk of sounding like a suck up, this is one of the first English classes I have
valued because I have felt like I improved some aspect of my writing in each essay.
One of the biggest take aways I have had is how to write a proper conclusion. This can best be seen in

Unfortunately, I really had no idea how to write one and spent a ton of unnecessary time finding

bibliography and it helped me tremendously. Through the annotated bibliography, I learned how to
properly organize my research. I think this is evident in how strong my introduction is. Although my
annotated bibliographies will probably not be as detailed if I am not turning them in for a grade, I will
most likely utilize them in other classes to provide a direction for my research and save time in the

Bbc s Power In World War II
The BBC s Power in World War II Radio proved itself to be a profound method of deriving
information before television and the Internet were developed. In Britain, the British Broadcasting
Corporation, also known as the BBC, usurped the radio business in England, filling radiowaves with
various programs pertinent to British life. However, by the time the Second World War came to
fruition, the BBC claimed English media and turned it into the most essential source of wartime
media. The BBC found itself instrumental as a media conduit during the Second World War in the
British Empire because it was able to boost morale in England, as well as having the ability to bring
the soldiers abroad and the citizens at home closer together. The BBC also ... Show more content on

Many broadcasts publicized by the BBC tied the regions of Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland
through England. England constituted itself of these regions, as well as Britain. Various media
methods allowed for regional contribution, but most importantly, for the sake of auxiliary linguistics,
Wales and Scotland produced broadcasts in Welsh and Gaelic, respectively (Hajkowski 122). In
allowing for synchronicity in England, it became essential for the BBC to focus not solely on the
views of the Britons, but rather all the factions that made up England. The allocation of varied
viewpoints indicated interests that regional lands perceived about the war and made them popular
among the rest of England. This led to the BBC s contribution to the war, as it represented such. To get
a better understanding on the interests of England as a whole, the people of England tuned into the
programs that the BBC offered in the Empire about the regionally diverse mainland of England. Such
broadcasts did not go unnoticed thus allowing for cultural syncretism to spread amongst the citizens of
England. Some programs in particular helped define the ideal regionality of the BBC. For example, In
Britain Now, in the midst of the war, became popular, attracting almost twenty five percent of radio
listeners in Britain (Hajkowski 124). This program established itself as one of the most prolific
regional media conduits through which varied broadcasts were shown. Its quality viewership and
informative nature made it an efficient consolidation of the traditions in England. Although regional
broadcasts had enormous success, the BBC managed to have some difficulty with the ability to
broadcast regionally. In particular, the acquisition of adequate programs for all of England and the
erroneous run times kept audiences minimal and made regional standing capricious in broadcasting
(Hajkowski 125). However, the broadcasts did allow for

Adam By Louise Erdrich Analysis
In the essay Adam, written by Louise Erdrich, she opens up about her relationship with her adopted
son Adam, who was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and her feelings on women who drink
while pregnant. Adam came into Ms. Erdrich s life when she met her future husband, Michael Dorris,
whom had adopted Adam years before. Though, she never intended to be the mother of a child with
physical and mental disorders, she developed a special relationship with her son that came with trials
and errors, but also patience and love. It was through the trying times with Adam that Ms. Erdrich
resents his biological mother the most. His birth mother took from Adam a life of free thinking and the

line be drawn to either help women with alcoholism refrain from drinking while pregnant, or punish
those who just don t care when it comes to their unborn? Should society make laws and imprison a
woman for harming her unborn child, but who is to say while jailed she won t drink. Alcohol and
drugs pass through prisons easily in these days and if desperate enough a pregnant woman could get
her hands on alcohol. The thought of sterilization, as another form of punishment does seem
inhumane, though it would be doubtful to help the woman with her alcoholism it does save an

the royal family. Polonius is always interfering in other people s lives when he shouldn t be very

The Importance Of National Park
Although in recent years urgency for National Park funding and research has declined, the delicate
ecosystems within the U.S must be preserved as their vitality is threatened. Parks are government
protected areas by the National Park Service within the United States boundaries that house various
types of ecosystems. Yellowstone National Park was the first National Park created by congress and
Ulysses s. Grant by the Act of March 1, 1872, making it exclusively under the control of the Secretary
of the Interior. With the creation of Yellowstone, more than 100 countries contain around 1,200
preserved areas similar to that of a park. June 8th of 1906 Theodore Roosevelt passed the Antiquities
Act was passed, enabling presidents to declare landmarks of scientific or historic value in federal
ownership. The Antiquities Act laid the foundation for nearly 100 protected areas throughout the U.S.
In 1916 President Woodrow Wilson created the National Park Service, a federal bureau responsible for
the preservation of 35 national parks. It s purpose was to, conserve the scenery and the natural and
historic objects and the wildlife therein and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner
and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations. (39 Stat.

I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings Poem
In her poem, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Maya Angelou The bird sings because it wants her
freedom. I think the caged bird also sings because she is bored or probable she needs distraction
because she does not have nothing to do alone. I guess the bird is also calling someone because she
might need something. Also i think the bird is ignored by the people that have the bird captured. I
think this paragraph has to do with The Long Walk Home because Odessa can not do nothing by her
choice. I also think she can t do nothing by herself in the movie. I think people should know this
because it s sad that in the past people had to do that for white people. For me i think the poem and the
movie are at least alike. Odessa cannot do stuff in the house because the owners might get mad at her
but the wife stands up for the black people for me that was a good choice because black people are
people they are not toys. Odessa is related to the caged bird because she can t go to places. This
supports my claim because people right now are not locked up for slaves. This also supports my claim
because black people are not toys they are people that do work for them to get money but what they
do in that day is not okay because they are slaves. My discussion is that slaves should be treated nice

How Mark Twain Influenced American Literature
How Mark Twain Influenced American Literature When you think of the start of American Literature,
what comes to your mind? Authors such as Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemmingway, Emily Dickinson,
Charles Dickens, and Mark Twain stick out in our minds. They were the face of post civil war and
social realism poetry. Today we will take a closer look at Mark Twain, who was also known as the
Father of American Literature. His work has survived more than 100 years after his death.
Mark Twain was born in 1835, as Samuel Clemens in the town of Florida, Missouri. He was the

The Civil War in 1861 shattered his dream job. He was no longer allowed to be a pilot because of the

worked for another local Newspaper. He developed the alter ego name Mark Twain during this time.
In 1869, Mark Twain wrote and published his first book The Innocents Abroad . Sam married his
soulmate, Olivia in 1870. They moved to Hartford, Connecticut in 1871 and started a family. The story
Roughing It was published in 1872 and the following year The Gilded Age , which was a story about
politics and the corrupt people involved, was published. The money was fruitful from these books. His
family and himself stayed in Hartford for the next 17 years. Well known stories such as The
Adventures of Huck Finn , Adventures of Huckleberry Finn , Life on the Mississippi , The Prince and
the Pauper , and Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur s Court got their first start here. In 1891, they
were forced to move to Europe due to bankruptcy from Samuel s enjoyment of investing into failing

Essay on Mixing Music and Politics
Many have thought the entertainment world should be separate from the world of politics. Some
celebrities go on to be involved in politics, such as Ronald Reagan and Sonny Bono, but rarely does
an entertainer command a large sphere of influence in the world of entertainment and politics
simultaneously. While entertainers can move the masses, their voice is usually discarded among
politicians. In addition to this, many have highlighted the negative influence of the entertainment
industry, and particularly rock music, on American culture. Often, it is seen as a corrupting force that
leads people astray. For many people, rock and roll seems to highlight all that is wrong with American
popular culture. These critics fail to take note of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each year, new books declare rock and roll to be an active force in the moral collapse of American
culture. To many, rock and roll has come to be seen as a social menace (Pattison 175 77).
Rock Music has traditionally, among political authorities, been viewed as a medium that has the
potential to bring about unrest and revolution among listeners. Even in its early stages, rock music has
been seen as a threat to the stability of society. In a 1968 Time magazine article, Robert Sam Ansons
declared rock music to be one long symphony of protest...the proclamation of a new set of values...the
anthem of revolution (qtd. in Wicke 103). While the comment acknowledges the influential potential
that rock and roll has, it views it negatively. Similarly, politicians have been out spoken against rock
and pop musicians, declaring they have a negative effect on society. In the mid 1990 s, during
presidential election campaigns, Bob Dole and Bill Clinton both declared that rock and roll plays a
part in the corruption of American youth (Christenson 2). Historically, many politicians have seen
rock and roll as being in opposition to positive political change.
In the late 1970s, Larry Mullen Jr. posted a message in Mount Temple High School, located in Dublin,
Ireland, that would change the course of music history and plant the seed of a

The Importance Of Restraint And Seclusion Of The Mental...
TAQ3: The use of treatments such as restraint is permitted according to the Mental Health Act (1983),
for treating individual suffering from mental health disorder (Mind, 2013). This law can be applied
with or without the approval of the person involved as its ultimate goal is to prevent the person from
harming himself or others (Royal College of Nursing, 2015). However, with recent incidence of
injuries and even death that has occurred as a result of this kind of treatment has raised doubt in the

The practice of restraint is more commonly used in acute setting compared to other mental health
settings(City University, London, 2009) Argument from health professional is that the use restraint is
very vital to their security especially in situations where a patient poses the risk of being a menace to
himself or others around them (Psychiatric Times, 2015).A study has showed that the act of violence
and aggression against patients and nursing staff is unbelievably rising, with about more than half of
NHS staff nurses being violently assaulted by patients in 2013 14 (Nice, 2015). Even though, most of
these attacks do not normally result in major injuries, they have caused staff to experience severe
anxiety, emotional traumas and in some case post traumatic stress disorder (City University, London,
2009). Against these facts, it is believed that the use of restraint, especially in an Acute setting, is
essential and ethical (Psychiatric Times, 2015). However, research has shown that there is a

focus on increasing brand awareness and marketing. In Orbitz s current structure, there is a marketing
function, but also marketing teams that sit within the Partner Services division doing product
marketing, as well as with the separate website divisions (ebookers and Orbitz for Business). As long
as there is strong communication, this might not be an issue, yet Orbitz could still try to find ways to

Taking a Closer Look at Interracial Realtionships Essay
It has long been said that only people of the same race should be allowed to date, marry, and
reproduce. Although everyone has their own opinion on the subject, there is honestly no right, or
wrong. In today s day and age the relationships held by people of different races are better accepted
than they were in earlier ages when people lived strictly by morals. Interracial relationships have
always been frowned upon for religious or moral reasons, but they should be treated with the same
respect as a relationship between the same races.
On a religious note, Genesis 3:20 says that Eve was the mother of all living. In other words, all
humans of all races descended from Adam and Eve, meaning that it shouldn t matter the race from

Raising a biracial child should be no different than raising an all white child. There are though some
different aspects of raising a biracial child such as cultural differences. An article written by Lori A.
Selke covers several issues that one might encounter while raising their biracial child. One issue
would be that your own child would have a different color skin leading some people to believe that
you adopted, rather than birthing the child yourself. Lori claims, Don t be surprised if you re assumed
to have adopted your child (Selke). Although biracial children are nothing new, they are still
somewhat of a taboo to society. Children from extremely different backgrounds may be confused as to
which one to follow and learn. The answer is simple, both. If a child had a white mother and a
Hispanic father it might be confusing as to what to teach the child, and in what language to teach it to
them in, Spanish or English? One thing is for certain, they are family, and that is the same in every
culture. Your child and family are outside the statistical norm. Don t cover that up (Selke). What Selke
is suggesting is that no matter the race of a child, they need to be loved just the same. Don t be
ashamed or your family just because it is a little different compared to others.
Interracial children have been born since the days in American when slavery took place. Many slave
owners would rape their slaves and conceive children with them. Some slave

Essay on The media perpetrating negative stereotypes of...
For as long as anyone can remember the battle between youths and older generations has been fuelled
by the media... playgrounds have been turned into battlegrounds and words are now a lethal weapon.
It is a binary opposition which has been taken to extraordinary levels and waged a war between
adolescents and adults.
The media has taken the stereotype of youths, the way the public view youths and the way in which
youths view themselves, and exploited the idea, turning it into nothing, but a delusional monster. The
youths of society are tomorrow s future leaders, inventors and scientists, eager to learn and offering
new perspectives. The media however, has hijacked the appearance of teenagers, constructing a
distorted idea, and warping ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The writer, with supported arguments from faceless experts , continuously refers to society s teens as
fast approaching their ill fated future, where it seems that in one way or another, a massacre will be
the end result from a generation exuding violence. To state the prospect of an impending massacre,
similar to those from across the globe is a colossal leap from the truth; the writer, uses this anomaly
and warps it into an unrealistic truth , and in doing so has implanted a seed of fear and apprehension in
the audience s minds, evoking a sense of security, justice and safety. It is this fear which cultivates the
aggression and negative attitudes towards youths, and the attribute with which the media abuses to
gain control of their audience and influence societal beliefs.
The article goes on to state that in youth culture violence and criminal activity is beginning at a
younger age; this so called evidence is based on the actions of ONE child, and to generalise an entire
population based on the idiotic actions of one completely distorts the truth and is grossly unfair. The
profuse use of the description thug and criminal like terminology throughout the entire article portrays
ALL teenagers as dangerous criminals who uphold gangster traits; this description is then furthered by
the verification of experts , with absolutely no indication of statistical proof. This so called truth yet
again fails to address all points fairly, and

Chronic Insomnia
brain tumors or strokes (Epstein, p.249).
Chronic insomnia was revealed to be in direct relation to a neurochemical imbalance in 2008 that
makes it difficult for the brain to get ready for sleep. Someone who is affected for more than six
months has 30 percent less gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is chemically induced
throughout the brain to slow activity down (McKeever,2008). GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter
that helps regions of the brain shut down by reducing electrical activity (Mehta,2008). This attributes
to overactivity being present at not only the level of excessive thoughts and emotions but at the
nervous system as well (McKeever,2008). Hyperarousal is also a neurobiological state of chronic
insomnia and lower GABA levels are found in people with a major depression disorder and anxiety
disorders that both factor into disturbed sleep (health.com). To support this theory, researchers

Developmental Disabilities Research Paper
Developmental Disabilities
Developmental disabilities include several types of conditions due to impairment in physical, learning,
language, or behavior areas. These conditions usually begin during the developmental period, may
impact daily functioning, and most of the time last throughout a person s lifetime. Most developmental
disabilities begin before a baby is born, but can also happen after birth due to injury, infection, or other
risk factors. It is very important that the mother takes care of herself during her pregnancy to prevent
or reduce the chances for her baby developing a disability. All the different types of developmental
disabilities will be explained and discussed throughout the research paper.
As previously stated most developmental disabilities are caused by a mix of factors. These factors
include genetics, parental health and behaviors such as smoking and drinking during pregnancy,
complications during birth, or infections the mother might have during the pregnancy or the baby

The Bolsheviks played quite a successful role in the October Revolution. There were many reasons
that helped the Bolsheviks seize power and transform Russia into a modern socialist society namely,
the weakness of the provisional government, Lenin s great leadership, Trotsky s control, and finally,
the Bolsheviks successful propaganda. These acts shaped the Bolshevik Party and gained it social,
political, and economic support from the lower classes. This all resulted in both the creation of the

The Lamb By William Blake
The Lamb was written by the famous English writer William Blake. William Blake was an English
writer from London who had very strong Christian beliefs that influenced his writings. Many of Blake
s poems had to do with his beliefs and views of God and Jesus. He published two famous book called
Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experiences , where he describes life in the eyes of the innocent and
of the experienced. In 1789 Blake published The Lamb in Songs of Innocence. I was very pleased
when I first read The Lamb because it was an easy poem that just gives you a relaxing feeling. It also
relates to many of my personal views of God and his son Jesus Christ. A sonnet is a poem made of 14
lines, The Lamb is made of only 20 lines. The Lamb is organized into two stanzas. The first stanza
starts with Little Lamb, who made thee? and ends with Dost thou Know who made thee? . The second
stanza begins with Little Lamb, I ll tell thee and concludes with Little Lamb, God bless thee! . The
two stanzas are important because the first stanza asks a question about who created the lamb and in
the second stanza it give the response that God created the lamb. This poem does rhyme and has a
rhyme scheme of AA BB CC. AA is represented with thee and thee, BB is feed and mead, and CC is
delight and bright. William Blake often uses the pronoun thee and thou meaning you. By using the
word, thee and thy (you and your) it shows that Blake intended to write the poem in second point of
view.

Sleeping and Dreaming Essay
Sleeping and Dreaming
Despite the large amount of time we spend asleep, surprisingly little is actually known about sleeping
and dreaming. Much has been imagined, however. Over history, sleep has been conceived as the space
of the soul, as a state of absence akin to death, as a virtual or alternate reality, and more recently, as a
form of (sub)consciousness in which memories are built and erased. The significance attributed to
dreams has varied widely as well. The Ancient Greeks had surprise dream encounters with their gods.
Native Americans turned to their dreams for guidance in life. Shamans dreamed in order to gather
information from the spirits.

According to Professor Van Dongen, the functions of sleep and dreams are still largely unclear to
scientists. Whereas artists and humanists have long been concerned with sleep and dream states, the
sciences mostly ignored it until the discovery was made that there is brain activity during sleep. It has
now been documented that sleep is a necessity for health, for well being, for the ability to think clearly
that is, for the overall quality of wakefulness. While much is known about the neurobiological
underpinnings of sleep and dreams, however, the reasons behind these processes are still a mystery,
and the question what are sleeping and dreaming for? awaits definitive answers. Under the

The historical context of the Laguna Pueblo reservation deals with the Native American culture, as

Shakespeare s Education And Literary Education In...
Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest poets of all time. He has thirty eight playwrights and
over 150 sonnets credited to his name, yet there is no historic records of Shakespeare physically
writing these masterpieces. Two centuries ago, Hank Whittemore theorized that William Shakespeare
was just an alias for a poet named Earl de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford. Numerous scholars disregard
Hank Whittemore s claim and believe William Shakespeare is the legitimate poet, but historical
evidence suggests Shakespeare s education background would have made him unfit to write such
masterpieces. The true master mind behind the Shakespearean works is not William Shakespeare, but
rather Earl de Vere. Shakespeare was incompetent to have written the plays, and overwhelming
evidence suggests Earl de Vere is the wordsmith of the shakespearean plays.
During Elizabethan England, William Shakespeare s education and social class would have rendered
him unable to write the sophisticated shakespearean literature. William Shakespeare was born to a
poor family, and he was given a very basic education. Because of his social status, William
Shakespeare had neither the education nor the literary training to write such eloquent prose and create
such rich characters, (A E Networks Television). To write the Shakespearean works it demands
excessive literary knowledge, yet Shakespeare had neither a profound education or literary guidance,

Midsummer Night s Dream And Disney s Aladdin
There s different genres of movies, plays, and stories. Horror, fantasy, tragedy, comedy, romance,
mystery, etc. In these genres are different plots to each story, each ending differently. However the
stories all follow the same set of elements depending on its genre. These elements separate the genres
from each other, a happy ending doesn t occur in a tragedy but is seen in comedy. Romance can end in
a tragedy or with a happy ending. Modern or centuries old, each genre use these elements, whether the
writers realize it. For example, comedy has plenty of elements that are used, although not all are
applied but most are. Shakespeare s Midsummer Night s Dream and Disney s Aladdin are good
examples of this. In Midsummer Night s Dream, the story starts with Theseus, duke of Athens,
engaged to Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. While preparing for their wedding, Theseus is

the purpose of being humorous. The Importance of Being Earnest, a play by Oscar Wilde, is a satire,
ridiculing class, gender, and marriage. This essay will describe some points from each of these
sections, as well as give a brief synopsis of the play these examples come from. The Importance of
being Earnest includes three acts, with seven major characters. In act one, we start with a conversation

In act three, we discover Jacks history, including that he is Algernon s elder brother. In the end, despite
several lies, arguments, and much turmoil, everybody gets married. There are many examples of satire
referring to class. One of the first is the fact that the side of the street you live on affects how
fashionable you are. This is an example of satire because it is not true, and is ridiculing high class
people by pointing out how shallow that they can be. Another example is the statement that sugar is a
low class food item. This is a satire for the same reason as the first example. A third example of class
related satire is that high class people always talk about other peoples business. This ridicules high
class people for being churlish and not allowing for other peoples privacy. In all, Earnest points out
how snobbish and shallow Mr. Wilde thought high class people are. There are also many examples of
gender based satire. The first of these is that only men can have a Bunburry. This is not true and shows
that men think themselves more sophisticated than women. A second example of this type of satire is
that women marry for a name. This is a satire because it ridicules women for being shallow. A final

Fraud In Forgery
This essay will investigate the serious problem of forgery and a way of how this problem can be
controlled.
Counterfeit or forged money is an imitation of real money, which is produced without the legal
permission of the government or state. To use or produce counterfeit money is a form of fraud and
therefore highly punished. Forgery has been an issue for a very long time, as it is a problem, which is
nearly as old as money itself. Counterfeiting has a large impact on the economy and society, as it is
reducing the value of real money, increasing the prices due to the fact that more money is circulating
in the economy, and there s also a decrease in the acceptability of paper money. (3)
Forgery is a serious and widely spread problem, as alone in the UK (2009) there were 566,000
counterfeit notes revealed. 95% of these were 20 pound notes. The most common fraud is of one
pound coins, which there were in 2009 30 40 million in circulation of. That would be approximately
2.8% of the total one pound coins. (6) Some fraudsters, like for example McAnea, had or still have the

felt guilty? Do you ever blame yourself, or wish you could turn back time to change just the smallest
of details, knowing that your life will be so much better because of it? Yes or no, or whatever your
answer may be, many people, and many characters have. The Book Thief is a prime example in which
many of its characters experience guilt. They blame themselves for the fact that someone died while
they are still alive, yet they find many ways to deal with this guilt. Throughout The Book Thief, the
author demonstrates how survivor s guilt continues to provide motivation for the characters to alter
their lives in many ways. Hans Hubermann is a character in The Book Theif who experiences a large
amount of survivor s guilt. Hans fought in the Great War along with his friend Erik Vandenburg. On a
day that everyone else was sent into battle, Hans was not, due to the fact that Erik nominated him to
stay and write letters for their sargeant. He stayed while everyone else went off to fight. None of them
came back (Zusak, 178). Hans escaped death while the others in battle were not as fortunate. It was
because of Erik Vandenburg that Hans was still alive, and his feeling of guilt was overwhelming.
Because of this, he went to see Erik s family. He saved my life... If there is anything you ever need...
(Zusak, 179). Hans knew that his offer was no comparison to Erik s saving his life

Blackwell went for it instantly for he had heard of The Wailers and gave them eight thousand pounds
so they could get back home and record their album for Island Records.
This was the first time a reggae band had ever had access to premium recording facility. They worked
hard knowing this was their big chance and released the album Catch Fire , which did extremely well
and was one of the first reggae albums as of before it was sold on singles or compilation albums.
In the spring of 1973 the Wailers returned to London to start their first three month tour of Britain.
When they returned to Jamaica, Bunny decided to quit touring and was replaced by Joe Higgs. The
Wailers then traveled to the US where they were to open 17 shows for a black act. They were fired
after 4 because the people came to see the Wailers and not the act. The crowds would often chant
Wailers throughout. They once again found themselves without any money and method home, but this
time in Las Vegas. They eventually stumbled into San Francisco and while there they did a live
concert broadcast for a very popular radio station. This further boosted their popularity in North
America.
To close 1973 the Wailers released their 2nd album Burnin . This album contained many of the
Wailers classics such as I Shot the Sheriff and Get Up, Stand Up . The Wailers popularity skyrocketed
when Eric Clapton covered I Shot the Sheriff , which became

Essay On Emergency Management
In the United States losses resulting from natural and man made disasters have increased significantly
due to catastrophic events. The natural and man made disasters facing the United States can include
acts of terrorism, wildland and urban fires, floods, hazardous material spills, nuclear accidents,
hurricanes, earthquakes, and more. Emergency management is an essential role of government. The
US emergency management is the organization and management of resources and responsibilities in
the attempt to reduce the harmful effects of disasters (FEMA, 2010). The emergency management is
based on phases of preparedness, mitigation, and recovery addressing extreme events and disasters.
When individuals think of disasters, many may view such events as a complex interaction between
damaging physical events and its infrastructure, meaning the focus is on destroyed buildings.
However, natural and man made disasters only become disasters when people s lives and livelihoods
are swept away. However, in the event a disaster were to occur, whether man made or naturally, being
prepared potentially reduces the vulnerability to disaster. Preparedness encompasses actions designed
to build organizational resiliency for response to and recovery from disaster impacts.
The Emergency Operation Plan (EOP) establishes a process and procedures for the context of the
emergency. Each jurisdiction develops an EOP that helps define the scope of preparedness and the
incident management activities

Hester Prynne Strengths
In the book, The Scarlet Letter by Nathanial Hawthorn, Hester Prynne is often shown as a weak
woman who could not resist the cunning temptations of the devil. As she first comes out of the prison
and takes her place on the scaffold, she is somewhat shamed by her fellow colonists. In this moment,
Hester is completely helpless from the mockery and judgments of the townspeople. Although Hester
Prynne committed what was back then the sin of all sins, she shows characteristics of a true
protagonist, such as strength, determination, and honesty.
One of Hester s most relevant traits is her strength. Hester shows her strength through the ways that
she copes with the persecution that she deals with because of the A, stitched onto her ... Show more

Without determination, nobody would ever get anything done. At the beginning of the story, Hester
brings her daughter Pearl out from prison. Immediately, everyone begins to look at Pearl as the
product of sin, like she was born corrupt. Despite all of the negative comments, Hester is determined
not to let the scarlet letter that she wears on her breast interfere with her relationship with her
daughter. Through her hard work and dedication, she is able to stand alone, despite the opinion of
society.
After she is convicted, Hester removes herself from the public eye. She moves to the edge of town and
attempts to begin to raise Pearl without any interferences. It is remarkable that persons who speculate
the most boldly, often conform with the most perfect quietude to the external regulations of society.
Even though Hester is alone, her independent personality makes her just as, if not more determined
than anybody else mentioned in the

When Work Disappears Essay example
When Work Disappears Americans believe that inner city residents, mainly African Americans,
struggle to survive and choose violence and crime intentionally, and that they are lazy and
unmotivated to improve their lifestyle. However, William Julius Wilson, writer of When Work
Disappears, disagrees with these thoughts, and he believes that results of joblessness have caused the
violent behavior and the poverty in inner cities. Wilson states, Many of today s problems in the inner
city neighborhoods crime, family dissolution, welfare are fundamentally a consequence of the
disappearance of work. He also explains how this problem will cause lasting and harmful
consequences if it is not addressed. He also believes that there are practical ... Show more content on

Wilson gives an example of a mother in a new poverty neighborhood that was on welfare even though
she wanted to be employed, and she says that, while she was working, she was making only $7 an
hour. Since she couldn t pay the babysitter or get medical insurance for her children, she applied for
public aid, and she could not even find a job that her benefits. Moreover, the advancement in
technologies causes higher requirements for education and training for potential employees, and the
lack of education in the inner cities cause the residents to fall short of these requirements. Wilson
speaks about the lack of motivation the teachers have to teach their students will great enthusiasm, the
lack of skills the teachers had, and the overcrowding of schools. A woman gave details on how her
daughter isn t going to a public school because since they don t get the amount of money a private
school makes, the teachers do not care and the schools are overcrowded. There are also no schools that
give the specific training that particular jobs require from their employers. Along with the other
factors, the one factor that has a historic legacy is the factor of racial segregation. Wilson illustrates
how race can affect whether a person is hired or not, and the fact that most inner city residents are
African American makes it harder for them to become employed. Wilson asked an employer of a car
transport company if race

  • 4. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) Important Reminders When Getting Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy [PART I] Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) also known as natural hormone therapy works when Bioidentical hormones act in the body just like the hormones we produce. It is primarily used to reduce the symptoms of menopause. Today, it is also used for clinical testing of blood and saliva, for anti aging purposes, and overall improving the quality of life for women who have symptoms of menopause. Bioidentical hormones have the exact molecular structure of those endogenous or natural hormones in a person s body and produce the same physiochemical responses. However, only a few women understand the importance of bioidentical hormones because they are mostly focused on the source of the hormones rather than the effects produced. If BHRT is not given appropriately, it may lead to different risks memory loss, weight gain, fibrocystic breasts, mood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The angles that women should know are these three (3) important reminders, especially when talking about covering hormone supplementation. Reminder #1 Choose BHRT when you are truly deficient with hormones This is common sense. You should not take insulin when you still have enough. Some women get paranoid over the notion that they are reaching 40 and that means menopause and menopause mean you become estrogen deficient. Yes, we understand that you do not want them to leave the building. But BHRT is for people who have the hormone deficiency. The typical assumption of the conventional medicine is that women after menopause become deficient with estrogen; however, this assumption is false. However, all credible experts agree that over 66% of women ages 80 and up still continue to make all the estrogen they need. Because of an aromatase enzyme, women still make estrogen even with the ovaries removed. You would know that you have enough estrogen in the body when:  You still have your monthly ... Scope By Alfred Hitchcock Meaning Have you ever done something that you thought made sense when you did it, but later you realize how much you regret doing it and how you wish you could take it back? In the short film Rope by Alfred Hitchcock, this exact thing happens to Phillip, when his Evil friend Brandon convinces him to help him commit murder. Phillip thinks it is a good idea, but then when the boys are under question, Phillip breaks down and starts regretting his actions and even confesses to the murder because he feels so bad. In Rope two Friends Phillip and Brandon commit the act of murder to an innocent civilian named David. When the murder is committed Brandon starts making comments that make it seem almost as if he is bragging about it. As we walk around and take in the world around us we notice some people communicating differently. Their words don t sound like ours, yet they are able to function the same way we do and complete the same tasks. Stated on dictionary.com language is a body of words of words and the systems for their use common to a people who are of the same community or nation, the same geographical area, or the same cultural tradition. From this definition, we can see that language can have many different variations. Variations can be in the same language or different languages. • 7. My Dreaded Enemy, My Dearest Friend My Dreaded Enemy, My Dearest Friend On a cold Sunday morning in February, I woke up dreading the day. I had an essay to write, three pages of math homework to do, and two biology packets to copy. Four days later I would be having lunch with my mom, none of my homework done, telling her about the past three days I lived without her. *** Mikayla? Mikayla, can you hear me? The harsh, bright lights of my bathroom burned my retinas and a man I didn t recognize came into focus. He looked like the perfect beach: hair the color of sand and eyes the color of seawater. At first, I thought he was an angel coming to save me. In a way, I guess he was. His navy blue shirt had a crest and the letters E M T embroidered on the pocket. The tile was as cold as ice. Although it was my bathroom that I had been in a million times, everything felt foreign. I must have zoned out, I thought. Yeah, I can hear you, I whispered. I didn t even want to look him in the eyes. My right forearm, leg, and fingers were crusted with dark crimson blood. What happened? The flash of a fresh razor blade suddenly sliced through my fuzzy and confused thoughts. Oh. The man quietly wrapped my arm in gauze. I could hear another man talking to my mom just beyond the bathroom door. She definitely knows how to take care of things like this. She s managed to stop the bleeding for now, but it may need stitches. There I sat, curled up in a ball of protection, shame, and fear while they discussed what to do with me. A ... • 9. Sir Isaac Newton s Laws Of Motion Introduction Sir Isaac Newton s laws of motion are three laws which provide relationships between the forces acting on a physical body and the motion of the body. They were first compiled by Sir Isaac Newton in his work Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica, published on July 5th, 1687. These laws of motion are composed of three laws: Inertia, F=ma, and equal and opposite forces. These laws explain and give reasons for the motion of all objects. In everyday life friction is all around us. In this experiment the effects of friction will be studied, and friction is the resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another. Friction is caused in part by Newton s First Law of Motion: Inertia. The law of inertia states that an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by a force. It also states that an object in motion will continue to travel at the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. 1.1 Balanced and Unbalanced Forces A balanced force is when forces cause no loss of speed on an object, for example a car encountering the same force of wind resistance as its force of acceleration will continue to travel at the same speed. If a force is unbalanced, the car would either slow down if wind resistance increased or acceleration decreased and it would speed up if wind resistance decreased or acceleration increased. 1.2 Gravity Gravity is another factor affecting friction. Gravity, Newton said, is a force ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scientists recently identified a key factor in their ability to do this: The lizards can tune the distances between nanoscale crystals in their skin that reflect light, creating a spectrum of colors. The cells that form its skin play a significant roll in the color changes. This zoom represents 150 microns of a chameleon skin, about twice the diameter of a human hair. When the light hits its skin, the cells act depending on the mood of the chameleon. Crystals would be close together in a neutral state and spread out when the chameleon gets excited. • 13. Bbc s Power In World War II The BBC s Power in World War II Radio proved itself to be a profound method of deriving information before television and the Internet were developed. In Britain, the British Broadcasting Corporation, also known as the BBC, usurped the radio business in England, filling radiowaves with various programs pertinent to British life. However, by the time the Second World War came to fruition, the BBC claimed English media and turned it into the most essential source of wartime media. The BBC found itself instrumental as a media conduit during the Second World War in the British Empire because it was able to boost morale in England, as well as having the ability to bring the soldiers abroad and the citizens at home closer together. The BBC also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many broadcasts publicized by the BBC tied the regions of Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland through England. England constituted itself of these regions, as well as Britain. Various media methods allowed for regional contribution, but most importantly, for the sake of auxiliary linguistics, Wales and Scotland produced broadcasts in Welsh and Gaelic, respectively (Hajkowski 122). In allowing for synchronicity in England, it became essential for the BBC to focus not solely on the views of the Britons, but rather all the factions that made up England. The allocation of varied viewpoints indicated interests that regional lands perceived about the war and made them popular among the rest of England. This led to the BBC s contribution to the war, as it represented such. To get a better understanding on the interests of England as a whole, the people of England tuned into the programs that the BBC offered in the Empire about the regionally diverse mainland of England. Such broadcasts did not go unnoticed thus allowing for cultural syncretism to spread amongst the citizens of England. Some programs in particular helped define the ideal regionality of the BBC. For example, In Britain Now, in the midst of the war, became popular, attracting almost twenty five percent of radio listeners in Britain (Hajkowski 124). This program established itself as one of the most prolific regional media conduits through which varied broadcasts were shown. Its quality viewership and informative nature made it an efficient consolidation of the traditions in England. Although regional broadcasts had enormous success, the BBC managed to have some difficulty with the ability to broadcast regionally. In particular, the acquisition of adequate programs for all of England and the erroneous run times kept audiences minimal and made regional standing capricious in broadcasting (Hajkowski 125). • 21. Essay on Mixing Music and Politics Many have thought the entertainment world should be separate from the world of politics. Some celebrities go on to be involved in politics, such as Ronald Reagan and Sonny Bono, but rarely does an entertainer command a large sphere of influence in the world of entertainment and politics simultaneously. While entertainers can move the masses, their voice is usually discarded among politicians. In addition to this, many have highlighted the negative influence of the entertainment industry, and particularly rock music, on American culture. Often, it is seen as a corrupting force that leads people astray. For many people, rock and roll seems to highlight all that is wrong with American popular culture. To many, rock and roll has come to be seen as a social menace (Pattison 175 77). Rock Music has traditionally, among political authorities, been viewed as a medium that has the potential to bring about unrest and revolution among listeners. Even in its early stages, rock music has been seen as a threat to the stability of society. In a 1968 Time magazine article, Robert Sam Ansons declared rock music to be one long symphony of protest...the proclamation of a new set of values...the anthem of revolution (qtd. in Wicke 103). While the comment acknowledges the influential potential that rock and roll has, it views it negatively. Similarly, politicians have been out spoken against rock and pop musicians, declaring they have a negative effect on society. In the mid 1990 s, during presidential election campaigns, Bob Dole and Bill Clinton both declared that rock and roll plays a part in the corruption of American youth (Christenson 2). Historically, many politicians have seen rock and roll as being in opposition to positive political change. In the late 1970s, Larry Mullen Jr. posted a message in Mount Temple High School, located in Dublin, Ireland, that would change the course of music history and plant the seed of a ... Even though, most of these attacks do not normally result in major injuries, they have caused staff to experience severe anxiety, emotional traumas and in some case post traumatic stress disorder (City University, London, 2009). Against these facts, it is believed that the use of restraint, especially in an Acute setting, is essential and ethical (Psychiatric Times, 2015). However, research has shown that there is a correlation between staffs reaction towards mental health patients and the violent and aggressive behaviour exhibited towards them. Lori claims, Don t be surprised if you re assumed to have adopted your child (Selke). Although biracial children are nothing new, they are still somewhat of a taboo to society. Children from extremely different backgrounds may be confused as to which one to follow and learn. The answer is simple, both. One thing is for certain, they are family, and that is the same in every culture. Your child and family are outside the statistical norm. Don t cover that up (Selke). • 26. Chronic Insomnia brain tumors or strokes (Epstein, p.249). Chronic insomnia was revealed to be in direct relation to a neurochemical imbalance in 2008 that makes it difficult for the brain to get ready for sleep. Someone who is affected for more than six months has 30 percent less gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is chemically induced throughout the brain to slow activity down (McKeever,2008). GABA is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that helps regions of the brain shut down by reducing electrical activity (Mehta,2008). This attributes to overactivity being present at not only the level of excessive thoughts and emotions but at the nervous system as well (McKeever,2008). He published two famous book called Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experiences , where he describes life in the eyes of the innocent and of the experienced. In 1789 Blake published The Lamb in Songs of Innocence. I was very pleased when I first read The Lamb because it was an easy poem that just gives you a relaxing feeling. It also relates to many of my personal views of God and his son Jesus Christ. A sonnet is a poem made of 14 lines, The Lamb is made of only 20 lines. The Lamb is organized into two stanzas. The first stanza starts with Little Lamb, who made thee? and ends with Dost thou Know who made thee? . The second stanza begins with Little Lamb, I ll tell thee and concludes with Little Lamb, God bless thee! . The two stanzas are important because the first stanza asks a question about who created the lamb and in the second stanza it give the response that God created the lamb. This poem does rhyme and has a rhyme scheme of AA BB CC. AA is represented with thee and thee, BB is feed and mead, and CC is delight and bright. The Importance of being Earnest includes three acts, with seven major characters. In act one, we start with a conversation between Jack (a notable bachelor) and Algernon (an in debt bachelor, with a laid back temperament), in which we learn both have made up friends, who are often sick, as to escape from wherever they live whenever they want. We also learn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gwendolyn and Cecily act as friends until they learn that they are supposedly engaged to the same person. Then they learn neither of them are engaged to anybody named Ernest, and are friends again. In act three, we discover Jacks history, including that he is Algernon s elder brother. In the end, despite several lies, arguments, and much turmoil, everybody gets married. There are many examples of satire referring to class. One of the first is the fact that the side of the street you live on affects how fashionable you are. This is an example of satire because it is not true, and is ridiculing high class people by pointing out how shallow that they can be. Another example is the statement that sugar is a low class food item. This is a satire for the same reason as the first example. A third example of class related satire is that high class people always talk about other peoples business. This ridicules high class people for being churlish and not allowing for other peoples privacy. In all, Earnest points out how snobbish and shallow Mr. Wilde thought high class people are. There are also many examples of gender based satire. The first of these is that only men can have a Bunburry. This is not true and shows that men think themselves more sophisticated than women. A second example of this type of satire is that women marry for a name. This is a satire because it ridicules women for being shallow. A final example of gender related satire is that women are ... Emergency management is an essential role of government.
